Liya didn't know why she had to show the newbies around the school when she clearly wasn't the welcoming type, but Dagmire had told that they had to find out whether any of them were genites before they come back to camp. So as she trudged towards the principal's office with Fiona her best friend, and her other friends Ben and Avit behind her, she wondered if it wasn't too late to bail. She could say she had been on her period or something.

As she thought of this Ben tapped her shoulder "Don't even think about it."

Avit and Fiona snickered as she huffed angrily at him. The door opened and the principal walked out. She gestured at the four students behind her "Shade, Charles, Bao and Bai meet Liya,"

Liya waved at them her eyes stopping at each of them but remaining on Charles who was staring at her. She blushed and looked away,

"Fiona" Fiona waved at them excitedly.

" Ben" Ben looked up from his phone and nodded.

"and Avit" Avit winked at Bai and Bao who stared back with amused looks on their faces.

Shade however looked skeptical as she looked between Charles and Liya. They soon began the tour as Liya pointed at various places while ben explained them with Fiona and Avit making quips here and there.

The bell rang for lunch and they piled into the cafeteria. Liya told Avit, Bao, and Bai to go first. While she stayed behind them subconsciously staring at Charles who seemed to be engrossed in the argument between Ben and Fiona over some app called Pattwad.

Liya sighed frustrated, put a sandwich, apple, and an extra-large cup of soda on her tray. Then waited and waited until the cup was empty. The argument was still going strong but Shade and Charles seemed disinterested. They kept at it until everyone except them had finished eating.

Liya began to get angry, she just wanted to leave this blasted school but one of the new students had to be really cute. She couldn't even talk to him and she hated feeling this way. They hadn't even found out if they were genites or not. Her soda cup was empty and someone had stolen her apple.

On top of that Fiona and Ben won't stop arguing about something so irrelevant." Vampire stories are better Ben; I should know I wrote one."

" No, Fiona according to the Trending section of Pattwad Werewolf stories are much than vampire stories."

" Vampires are better"

" Werewolves are cooler"

" Vampires"

" Werewolves"

" ENOUGH" Liya growled. Her hair had turned white at ends and eyes changed from brown to grey.

Ben looked at Fiona who stared in awe" You were saying"

Avit tapped Liya" Um Liya..."

" What?"

Avit gestured to Charles, Shade, Bao, and Bai who had shocked looks on their faces.

Shade was the first to speak" I think I must be going crazy but did Liya just growl?"

" Forget that," Bai said," Did her eyes just change color?"

" Her hair did too" Avit added receiving a cold glare from Liya in response.

" Uh oh," Fiona said as she hid behind her large bag of Stikkles.

Uh oh is right, Liya thought she might have just revealed herself to humans or possibly genites. Either way, she knew she was in a shitload of trouble.

Ben stood up" Looks like we've got some explaining to do."

For a moment there was silence until Fiona started chewing her second bag of Stikkles loudly causing Ben to tell her to stop. He arranged his jacket and stood up then began walking towards the cafeteria door, no one made a move to follow him. He looked back with an amused look on his face.

" You can't assume that we're going to explain it here."

" Fair point, but you can't assume that we are going to follow you into some dark closet only for wolf girl to rip us to shreds," Bao said dryly.

" Touché." 

Ben led them into the school garden, a large plot that had budding fruits and flowers. He showed Bao to a seat, she sat down her face showing no gratitude. He smiled as if accepting a challenge. The rest stood, ready to run away if necessary.

 Fiona whispered to Liya "Ben's quite enjoying this isn't he?"

 "I bet you five Pons that he's gonna use the same speech he used last time," Liya whispered back.

" You're on."

" So," Ben said, " Where do I start?"

" I don't know, there's quite a lot to explain. Hmm..." Bao pointed at Liya. " How about you start with wolf girl over there whose eyes and hair-what was it again, oh yeah changed color?"

" Right" Ben replied. "I have a question for you guys to answer first though, Are you humans?"

Bao began to get irritated" Liya almost turned into a wolf and that's what you're asking?"

" Well-"

" So what if we're humans, you think we would scream and run away like a bunch of chickens"

" But are you?" Avit asked tired of the constant arguing.

" No"

" Thank you. Ben continue,"

" Thanks, Now I-"

" And please get to the point."

" Liya is a genite, a wolf genite to exact kinda like a werewolf only way more complex. I am one as well, so is Fiona and Avit. I assume you guys are too."

"You assume correctly" Bao commented.

" Ok, so we don't really go here. This school is under a spell expertly cast by Fiona that makes everyone believe we do. Except for the principal who is a genite as well. We recruit new genites and take them to Camp Gen., Of course, it's your choice whether to go or not."

" What if we choose not to go?" Shade asked.

" I was getting to that. Have you ever heard of the Equalists?"
