"No kidding... I wonder what happened..." That's all they heard around them.
"Damnit... I never should have him with that damn monster... I should have taken his fear as a warning, not as a he's just being a kid..." He felt ready to punch the man who did this, only being calmed by his wife, who was sobbing her eyes out. The door opened and a police officer walked in.
"I'm really sorry about what happened..." He said. "But we're charging this man with child abuse and sexual assault. Is there anything I can do?"
"It's a far stretch but I'd like my son back..." The wife said in between sobs.
"We'll keep him in our thoughts." Then, he left. After he had left, the woman walked over to the bed and moved a lock of hair out of her son's face before placing a kiss on his forehead.
"Just know that no matter what, we'll always love you so much and that we're so sorry that we couldn't protect you..."
