Coffee Shops and Roses

Tagatha week day two!

"Aaaaaaagggggggggiiiiiiiieeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON!!!"
"Sophie, I don't understand why we have to rush to Starbucks at 9-30 AM just to see this guy who literally goes to you're college."
Sophie sighed and tapped her foot impatiently. "Becaaaaaaauuuuuuuuussssssseeeee maybe I can talk to him aaaaallllllllloooooooooonnnnnneeeeee and make it into a daaaaaaaaaaattttttttteeeeeeeeee." she said as if talking to a two-year-old. Agatha just roled her eyes and turned back to her closet. She really didn't understand her sister sometimes.
They were both home from college at their father's house and it was supposed to just be their sister weekend.
But then Sophie saw a guy from her college's instagram story and he was at the Starbucks in their town. For some reason, Sophie had a major crush on this guy which Agatha didn't understand at all because from the pictures he posted, he looked like an entitled ritch kid who thought he owned everything. But she knew better than anyone how wrong it was to judge someone based on looks.
She hadn't exactly been the most popular girl in high-school. She'd been bullied a lot for her bookishness and overall nirdieness. But things were better in college. No one knew her, and it was easy to make friends because everyone was so nice (plus, Sophie wasn't there.)
So anyway, she'd be willing to give this Tedros guy a chance with her sister if it wasn't so frickin early in the morning! so that's why she was currently stomping around her room looking for clothes to shove on and drive Sophie who "Couldn't drive herself in the morning because it gave her STRESS."
"Sophiiiiieeeeeee!!! You don't need a rose for him! You don't even know if he's still here!" Agatha almost screamed. They were in the Starbucks parking lot and Sophie was begging Agatha to turn around because she'd forgot to bring a rose for Tedros.
"Yes I do! And there's his car right over there!" Sophie shot back. Agatha was still not buying it.
"There are roses right over there. Why don't you just go pick those?" She was referring to a garden of white roses on the other side of the parking lot. Sophie sighed.
"Bbbbbbbeeeeeeeaaaaaaacccccccuuuuuuussssssseeeeeee" Sophie said in her (talking to a two-year-old voice, "I need a reeeeeeeedddddddddd rose, plus, I don't want him seeing me pick it."
Oh my gosh! Agatha thought. She loved her sister, she really did. in fact, her love for Sophie was the only reason she'd come home this weekend. And yet here she was trying not to scream at Sophie for making her get up, telling her she was flaking on their weekend, telling her to go back home, take her back to Starbucks, and then leave! Agatha sighed and said,
"If you want a rose, drive home yourself. I'll go in and get a coffee, and then wait outside for you to bring the car back so I can go home. But I'm not driving back home, back here, and then right back home again." Gosh Sophie thought. My sister's mad in the morning!
What she said out loud was, "Fine! You go in, and I'll drive home real quick."
Apparently, Sophie's idea of "Real quick" was 30 minutes. However, Agatha didn't know that when she walked into the Starbucks grumpy as heck.
She marched over to the counter only to see that there was a line. (Good.) She thought. (I'll have time to cool off.) Even though Agatha could get pretty grumpy sometimes, she really didn't like talking to other people mad. Ever sense high-school, she'd tried to be as nice to everyone as she could. You never know what someone else is going through. So she steped into line and started taking deep breaths.
Thankfully, Agatha could calm down really quickly, because when she'd been waiting in line for ten minutes, the guy in-front of her turned around to speak to her.
"Busy today isn't it?" He asked sweetly. Agatha laughed.
    "I was just thinking the same thing."
She smiled and went to pull out her phone thinking the conversation was over when he spoke again.
    "Are you waiting for anyone or just getting a coffee?"
    "Well, both. I'm waiting for my sister. She has a date here, so I just decided to get a coffee in the mean time. You?"
    "Oh, I'm just getting a quick drink before I meet my friends, although at this rate I'll be late." He laughed.
This went on for another 5 minutes with Agatha asking questions she'd never think to ask some of her friends let alone a stranger in a coffee shop. They were actually so busy talking that they didn't notice that the guy's turn had come until they ran into the counter.
     "Maybe I'll see you again, umm, I don't think I caught your name." The guy said to Agatha.
    "Oh sorry! That's so rude of me! I'm Agatha, and yeah. It was super nice to meet you." She said.
The guy opened his mouth as if to tell her his name, but the lady behind the counter chose that exact moment to ask him what he wanted. So Agatha just pulled out her phone and texted Sophie.
Agatha-Where are you! It's been 20 minutes!
Sophie-Babes I have to redo my make up too. I'll just be a seck😘
Agatha-😒🙄 ok.
She looked up to see that he was done and steped up to take his place at the counter. She ordered a Pink Drink and went to find a table.
As Agatha looked around the coffee shop, she saw the guy that was in-front of her in line sitting on a bench and franticly tapping at his phone. She waited until he seemed to calm down slightly and walked  up next to him.
    "Hey." She said somewhat awkwardly.
    "Oh hey! Uhh do you know how long you're sister's gonna be?" He asked.
  "No why?" She asked.
    "Uhh because uhh my friends canceled and uhh I was wondering if you just wanted to chat for a few minutes?" OMG Agatha was so shocked that someone other than Sophie had actually enjoyed talking to her that it took her a minute to process what the guy had said. Not only had someone enjoyed talking with her, but they wanted to do it again!
Agatha couldn't contain her smile as she answered him, "Yes! And I forgot to ask you're name."
    "Oh it's Tedros." He said.
    "Nice. So if you don't mind me asking, what were you and your friends going to do?" Agatha asked sitting down next to Tedros.
    "Oh we were just going to see some movie. I don't really know what it's called. I sometimes get sucked into things like that." He chuckled lightly.
    "Oh me too."
    "So do you know the guy you're sister's going out with?" Tedros asked. He then backtracked, "Sorry, that was a really personal question. We've only known each other for like 30 minutes I just..."
     "It's fine! And I don't, he's some guy from her college." Agatha said smiling at how considerate Tedros was.
At that moment Agatha's phone buzzed. She took it out and read a text from Sophie.
Sophie-Aggie I'm here. The car's in the back of the lot.
She turned to Tedros, "Uhh my sister's here, but would you maybe wanna exchange numbers?"
He Smiled, "Yeah that'd be great." So they punched each other's numbers in their phones.
    "It was really nice meeting you Tedros." Agatha said getting up.
    "You too. I hope we can keep in touch." And with that, Agatha walked out of the Starbucks.
*two Hours later*
Sophie came in looking mad. The first words out of her mouth went she met her sister in their room were, "He's interested in SOME ONE ELSE!"
    "Well hello to you too." Agatha replied.
    "Aggggggggiiiiiiieeeeeeeee who is iiiiiiiiittttttttt!!!!" Sophie wined.
    "I don't know Sophie!" Agatha replied. She had a sarcastic answer on her tongue, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. She'd been irrationally happy after meeting Tedros. She couldn't bring herself to be like that, not even to Sophie.
And her happiness must have showed because Sophie snapped, "And why do you look so happy?"
    "Oh uhh, uhh. I met this guy earlier at the coffee shop." Agatha said blushing. We exchanged info. I should probablly text him."
Sophie half smiled, "Well at-least something good came from today. My recluse sister actually talked to a guy!"   
Agatha roled her eyes. "Get out!" She said.
    "Why? So you can text your booooooooyyyyyyyyfrrrrrrriiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnddddddd?" Sophie cooed.
When Agatha gave her a look that could bend titanium she backed out of the room still smiling.
Agatha who was now laughing at her sister's sudden mood swing, pulled out her phone and clicked on Tedros's number.
     Agatha-Hi is this Tedros?
For reasons she could not understand her heart sped up as she waited for a reply.
Tedros-Yeah, is this Agatha?
Agatha-Yeah. How are you?
Tedros-good. Wbu?
Agatha-good WYD?
Tedros-just in a drama club rehearsal.
Agatha-Oh sorry! I can txt you later.
Tedros-no it's fine! I'm not doing anything rn anyway.
Agatha-Oh ok. So you do drama?
Tedros-Yeah I have rehearsals on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and then we do plays on some Sundays.
Agatha-Oh that's so cool! Are you doing anything afterward?
Tedros-No why?
Agatha-I was thinking that maybe if you wanted to we could ft? Only if you wanted to.
Tedros-Yeah sound great! Can't wait.
Agatha-Yay!
Tedros-Ok I have to go soon but do you have instagram?

Agatha couldn't contain her smile as she checked her instagram. As predicted, she had a request from, @Tedros_TheDragon to follow her. She clicked except and followed him back. She figured while she waited for his drama to be over, she'd stalk his insta because isn't that what girls do when they like a guy?
She clicked through some of his earlier pics. It looked he started posting at like 11 or 12-ish because he had the jersey of the Camelot middle-school baseball team on.
He had pics with a guy who Agatha assumed was his dad because they looked exactly alike. There was also pictures with a woman who she assumed was his mom. But when Tedros started highschool, they disappeared from his profile. She wondered what happened.
Around that time Tedros's appearance changed as well. As she scroled through the years of his life, she started seeing a startling resemblance to Sophie's crush. When she got to the last picture, her heart stoped. It WAS Sophie's crush! And she had feelings. She'd tried pushing it off all day, but she knew. She had feelings and Sophie knew she had feelings. She'd never tell her who! He'd be so mad and...
    "Aaaaaaaaaggggggggggaaaaaaaaaaattttttttthhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!. Sophie screached.
(oh no!) Agatha thought franticly.
     "Why are you following MY future husband on instagram?"
    "Oh uhh, I was just trying to get info for you. He might be a fricken criminal for all you know!"
    "Then why is there a FRICKEN picture of you two at STARBUCKS from TODAY?"
     "What!" Agatha said suddenly serious. She never thought he took a picture. When had he even taken it!?
What was it even of?
She pulled out her phone to check.
When she opened Tedros's instagram, she saw the cutest picture of herself she'd ever seen.
She and Tedros were on the bench and he'd caught her mid laugh from something he'd just said. Agatha smiled to herself, but the smile quickly droped when she realized that her sister was on a warpath.
    "IT WAS YOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!! The other girl! The OTHER PERSON!" Sophie raged as she threw her phone straight at Agatha's face.
     Sophie I didn't fricken plan this! If you'd told me something about his personality, maybe his name! Maybe this wouldn't have happened!"

     "I don't know his  fricken personality, I don't even know his fricken NAME!"
     "Then... What do you like about him?" Agatha asked. She was genuinely perplexed. How could you like someone if you didn't even know what they were like?
Sophie sighed, "I don't darling." I did, but that was just for his looks and mooooooonnnnnnneeeeeeeyyyyyyy, then I realized that you two were perfect for each other and set up a tiiiiiinnnnnnyyyyyyy plan to get yall together.
I turned on my extra annoying (not that I'm annoying in the first place but ya know) made you mad, set up this stupid date thing and this happened."
OMG! Agatha gaped at her sister.
    "How do you know me better than I know myself?"
Sophie scotted over and hugged her sister tightly.
At that moment, Tedros called her.
    "Oops I better go! You're booooooooyyyyyyyyyffffffffrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnndddddddddd's calling!" She singsonged her way out of the room before Agatha had a chance to say anything. She answered her phone smiling.

OMG it's so late!
I had this whole seen planned out where Agatha ordered black coffee and she already knew Tedros and he tried it but spit it everywhere. I had the whole storieline planned out but then I got this idea and basicly had to change this 1,500 word thing. But now it's over 2,000 words and it's the longest thing I've ever writen! The next one will be better.
