"He has to," Chloe said looking at us weirdly.

"Uh, why?" Kyrn asked shocked.

"A bite mark tells other males that you are taken and your mate's scent gets mixed in with yours. Then to complete the mating process, you guys have sex. Then your mate's scent is completely mixed in with yours. And then tada! Completely mated," she screamed with a smile.

I shook my head back and forth. "Again, hell no!"

She seemed taken aback by this. "Why not?"

"I'm only eighteen. I'm not going to have sex with my kidnapper and he isn't going to bite my neck. That's just weird!"

"What's weird?" Xavier asked walking back her with Jay.

"Oh this oughta be good," Zander said crossing his arms.

"I wonder how they will take it," Ryan said with amusement.

"Who will take what?" Jay asked us, honestly confused.

"Well. Kyrn and Sam don't want you guys to bite them and they don't want to have sex with you either," Chloe said walking over to where Zander and Ryan are.

Xavier's and Jay's head snapped toward us and I think their eyes got darker.

"Why not?" Xavier asked through gritted teeth.

I flinched at the sudden anger in his voice and took a step back.

Even if he is my mate and he swore to not hurt me, he still scares me.

"Uh. I-I." Fear was taking over and I couldn't finish my sentence.

I think he noticed because his eyes went back to normal and his features softened.

He walked up to me and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry I got mad. I understand if you don't want us," he said and his arms pulled me in tighter before he let go.

I saw a tear slip out and he looked toward the ground while walking away.

"What? No!" I yelled and jumped on his back so he would stop walking.

I don't know why I'm acting like this. It must be that weird mate thingy. It's still weird to me. I'm falling for my werewolf kidnapper mate. Yeah, that doesn't sound weird at all.

"But you said-" He started talking but I clamped my mouth over his hand.

"Xavier. Shut up and let me talk." I giggled.

I felt him nod so I took my hand off his mouth and slid down his back.

"Listen. I'm not rejecting you, Xavier. I don't know why but I have gotten extremely strong feelings for you that I have no idea where they came from but I know they are there. It's probably this mate pull thing and it's kind of scaring me to like you, but I'm not rejecting you. I only said that because I'm eighteen and I'm not ready to have sex yet. And besides, if you went up to some random person and were like 'hey I'm going to bite your neck so other males know that you are mine. Don't freak out or anything', they would probably freak out. It's weird." I laughed at the end.

"So you're not rejecting me?" he asked me slowly. I smiled and shook my head. A flood of relief washed across his face and he picked me up. "Oh thank God. I don't know what I would have done of you did reject me."

"Mates are that important to you guys?"

"You have no idea, princess." He chuckled.

I hugged him back and he finally set me back on the ground.

"So what happens if someone rejects you?" I asked curiously.

He gives me a sad look.

"There really isn't a point to live. Mates are your everything. They are the reason you breathe, wake up, everything you do, they are the reason. You become hollow and depressed and don't want to live on," Xavier explained as he looked me in the eye.

I gasped. "Oh wow."

That sounds awful. I don't know what I would do if I lost Xavier.

Wow, I sound like one of those crazy clingy ex-girlfriends.

"Yeah. It's not good. That's why if you rejected me, I would probably lock you up in a tower or something so I would know you are okay and I could visit you whenever I wanted." He shrugged and walked back inside.

I looked at his retreating figure and my mouth fell wide open.

"He's just joking," I paused and looked at Chloe. "Right? He seriously wouldn't lock me up in a tower right?"

She gave me a small smile. "I'm afraid he's not joking. He probably honestly would do that."

"Wait, what?"

"I'm serious. He's an alpha and a guy. The possessive and protectiveness are going to be like ten times more effective than just a regular werewolf."

"Oh lord."

"You're in for a wild ride, Sam."

"I can tell." I laughed.

We talked for a little bit longer until we reached the house.

"Don't worry. She'll give in and let me eventually," I heard Xavier say.

"Hopefully mine will too," Jay said.

What are they talking about?

We walked inside and saw the guys at the table.

"What were you guys talking about?" Chloe asked them.

Xavier and Jay smiled mischievously but shrugged and turned toward each other again.

"Please tell us," Kyrn said hugging Jay from behind.

Jay stiffened and closed his eyes breathing hard.

Keep it up, I mouthed to her.

She winked and turned back to him.

She kissed the back of his neck and Jay's hands gripped the island tightly. It looked like the island was about to break.

"Please Jay," Kyrn pushed on.

"We were talking about how you girls are going to want us to bite you and claim you," he rushed out.

Kyrn smirked and walked over to me.

"Is that so?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Traitor," Xavier mumbled to Jay.

"You have your mate do that to you and tell me if you can resist," he defended.

"You're whipped already," Xavier teased.

"You are to."

"Am not."

Jay looked at me and I nodded.

I walked up to Xavier and he looked at me curiously.

I hope I can do this. Kyrn was always better at doing this stuff. But I picked up on some stuff so hopefully, this will work.

"What did you say about it?" I asked him while wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Nothing," he said.

I stood up on my tippy toes and kissed in between his shoulder blades. He was too tall and it was easier for Kyrn because Jay was sitting down.

He sucked in a breath and I chuckled.

"Please," I pressed on while putting my hands on his abs.

This damn shirt is in the way, and I would really like it if it was off so I could- oh my gosh. Bad Sam, bad. Get your mind out of the gutter. Bad girl.

"I-I," his voice trailed off when I started moving my hands around his stomach and chest.

"You?" I questioned.

This is so much fun. I laughed to myself.

"I said that we could get you guys to want us and claim you," he strained out.

I nodded and walked back over to Kyrn and Chloe. Zander and Ryan went to the fridge. Big shocker there.

"You were saying?" Jay smirked and laughed.

"Oh shut up," Xavier growled. "But it's going to happen." He smiled at us.

Kyrn and I laughed. "How about no."

"How about yes," Xavier said grabbing a water bottle.

"Whatever helps you guys to sleep at night," I replied.

"It's going to happen."

"No, it's not," I said smiling at him. "Oh, Kyrn, Chloe, and I are out."

"But we have to talk," Xavier said with a frown. "And besides, you just went out."

"We can talk when we get back."

"But-"

"Please. Come on." I gave him the puppy dog face.

"Fine," he groaned and reluctantly nodded.

"Yay!" I shouted.

I ran to him and gave him a peck on the cheek and a hug before the girls and I ran out to the car.

"Let's do this!" Kyrn shouted.

"Wait!" We heard behind us.

We turned around and saw Tim and Hunter running toward us. "We have to come with. Alpha's and Beta's orders," Hunter said.

"They owe us big time," Tim mumbled.

"Yeah yeah, let's go!" I shouted and we jumpedin the car.
