It was all over the news what was happening with the deaths of Ms. Mystical and another woman connected to the Stone family. Jae did not tell him anything, he found out on his own. That made him upset that she did not trust him enough to confide in him. She dodged his phone calls and ignored his text messages, so he decided to show up at her place.

He brought a bottle of her favorite wine and a dozen red roses. He thought he was being romantic but she instantly started yelling at him when she opened the door.

"You can't just show up here Ax! I didn't say you could come over. I could have been in the middle of business or-"

"Family business?"

"What does it matter to you?"

"Jae, I heard, I wanted to be here with you."

She huffed and stomped her little sexy foot at him. "I had family staying with me. My sister and her baby, and you just came to fuck!"

He set the flowers and the wine on the table. "First of all, that ain't the only thing I'm into you for Jae. You're my girlfriend, you can open up to me."

He looked around her place. "Your sister and nephew still here?"

"Do they look like they are still here?"

She stormed away from him, towards her kitchen. She stopped and spun on her heels, came back toward him and grabbed the bottle of wine, and walked away again.

"Jae, you wanta talk?"

"Let me get a couple of glasses of this in me."

She put that bottle in the freezer and grabbed another one out. He walked to her, took the bottle from her, found the bottle opener, and opened it for her. She waited near holding her wine glass to him.

Despite her attitude, he could tell she was stressed. The quiver of her lip, the twitch in her eye, the nervous way she tapped her foot to the floor. That was not the Jae he knew.

He poured wine into the glass about halfway. She looked at it as if asking for more, but he stopped.

"Here, take this," she said to him, handing the glass of wine to him. She grabbed the bottle from him. "Since you're being stingy."

She put the bottle to her lips and drank straight from it.

"Jae, come on, drinking doesn't solve anything."

"My house, my rules." She walked away from him pulling off the dress she wore.

He took a sip of the wine but he needed to be clear-headed talking to her. Seeing her undress, he wanted to take her to the bedroom, but that's not what she needed right now.

"You gonna fuck me, or what?"

He sat the wineglass down on the counter, he definitely did not need it tonight. "Jae, come on, I think you need to just talk, let it all out."

He took her arm and led her to the living room area where the television was on and she was watching porn on the large built-in the wall TV. Not any porn, she watched an orgy going on. Several women and several men going at it in every way possible. He grabbed the remote to cut it off, but she snatched it from him.

"No! I need this! To help me relax."

"No, you don't." He took the remote from her and cut the television off. He sat on the sofa and pulled her on his lap. "Baby, tell me what's going on with you. That's why I'm here. I brought you flowers and your favorite wine. Whatever else you need from me, that's why I'm here."

She took a long guzzle from the wine bottle. This was not cheap wine store wine, this was the good stuff that had to be ordered and shipped from overseas. Once he knew what she liked, he ordered a case of it. It was a higher proof alcohol content and she drank it like she was drinking Kool-Aid.

"I don't want to talk about it."

He took the bottle from her and held it away.

"None of this till you talk to me, babe."

"Noooo! Come on Ax, what the hell?"

He set the bottle on the table in front of them and then wrapped his arms around her. She tried to move away but he held her tight in his arms and pressed his face against her cheek.

"Jae, I know you're worried about what's been happening just talk to me about it."

"It's family business!"

"I'm your family. At least I'm your man Jae, that's what I'm here for."

"It's nothing I can't handle myself. Someone is trying to get to my family and they motherfucking tried it! My father thinks someone will try to hurt me or my sisters."

"What?" Now he was worried. "Jae, come stay with me at my place then. You'll be safer."

"Negro!" She pushed him away. "Didn't I say I can handle myself? I don't need a man taking care of me. I have a gun and know how to use it. I wish a motherfucker would!"

He did not like guns himself. His only brother died from gun violence when he was young. He was a fighter though, he could use his fists to defend himself. It would not be the first time he used his hands to defend himself from harm....and he would do anything to protect Jae.

He rubbed her gently from her face. "Then babe, I'll stay here with you."

"I mean, long as we fucking, yeah."

He laughed at her. "That's what I love about you...not afraid to say whatever."

She leaned over to kiss him, and that's when everything in his body went on high alert. Jae did things to him no other woman had done. It was beyond the sex appeal she oozed, he loved everything about her. Her kisses were amazing.

"I love kissing you," he said, between kisses.

"Why don't we take this upstairs to the pool? It's been a minute since we've gotten freaky up there."

"Let's make it happen."

Jae changed into a two-piece string bikini that covered nothing and then put on a sheer cover-up that covered absolutely nothing, grabbed her bottle of wine, and headed up.

"Give me a few minutes, I'll meet you up."

He had not brought trunks, but none was needed for what they were going to do. He took off his jeans and t-shirt, grabbed a large towel, and wrapped it around himself. Set up the room for later when they came back to top things off.

When he made it to the rooftop pool, Jae was in the pool swimming laps under the twinkling stars, naked. He disposed of his towel, naked as well, and stepped into the pool. Jae swam to him and immediately went underwater and wrapped her lips around his dick. He tossed back his head and relaxed at the feeling.

He did not want to keep her underwater pleasing him too long, so he pulled her up and kissed her lips before going down to suck on her exposed breasts.

"That tongue needs to be doing other things."

"Yes ma'am."

He lifted her so that he could taste her. She giggled as he went to work, slurping her up as she dripped down all over him. He kept going till she screamed out his name.

Then he put her down, bent her over the edge of the pool, and dove into her from the back.

Several times in the pool till they had their fill, then they headed back to her apartment, naked, one towel between them. Anyone could have walked out of their condo and seen them. Neither had any care in the world.

When they walked back into her apartment, Jae's mouth flew open, shocked he had electric candles going, dimmed the lights, and had the rose petals scattered down the hall and into her bedroom. He grinned, pleased with himself for setting a romantic mood.

"Boy, what did you do?"

"Me being romantic."

He followed her to the bedroom where there were more rose petals all over the bed.

"Boy! You don't have to buy me flowers like that, I'm not that type of girl. They just die."

"Well, I wanted to see you covered in them."

"I'd rather be covered in money." She lay in the bed, spread her legs, and touched herself. "Now I'm going to have rose petals all up the crack of my ass and everywhere else."

He got in bed beside her and let his hand finish what she was doing.

"I'm glad I could take your mind off things."

"Just hold me, Axton."

She wrapped her small frame around his and held her close to him. He knew she was still stressed out over everything, and sex was not enough to get it off her mind.

"Jae, let me take care of you. I promise nothing will happen to you on my watch."

"I have to protect my family my way."

"No...let your father handle it."

"I'm going to handle it. She's not going to destroy my family."

He had no idea who she was talking about, and he did not want to know. He knew he would not let Jae out of his sight until everything was solved.

"Jae, I love you baby."
