Chapter Eight

"Judge," She cleared her throat, "Jahseh has a few... shall I say 'dilemmas' in his life. Which leads to him mentally being corrupt. He can't help himself."

"I object, your honor. That's no excuse for over ninety-eight women to be touched in such a manner! The young fellow should've gotten help or should've been placed in a mental home!" The alternative lawyer spoke.

"I was getting to that, if you'd just let me finish, sit." She glared at him.

"Anyways, Jahseh grew up alone. This young man grew up without a mother, without a father, and without any siblings he may have had. This played a superior role in his actions. He's... let's just say... 'traumatized'. Your honor," She approached the judge.

"How would you turn out to be or react to yourself growing up with no parental guidance?" She placed her pencil behind her ear, waiting for the confutation of the honorable judge.

"Hmm." She started, "You do have a point, Ms.Jones. Do you have anything else to add, Mr.Klecka?" She turned her attention towards him.

"As a matter of fact. I do! Jahseh, is it?" He stood up from his seat, eyeing Jahseh.

"Y-Yeah." He swallowed.

"How old are you?" Mr.Klecka opened his folder, basically hovering over Jahseh.

"T-Twenty Three."

"By law you're old enough to do something about your 'condition'. It's not like you're fifteen years of age, Mr.Onfroy. Wouldn't you agree you honor?"

"But you must understand the circumstances he's in, Mr.Klecka. No parents? That's pretty tough, you've must admit." Judge Shannon spoke against Mr.Klecka.

"Help is still provided! Mental homes are provided, for people like him. Obviously he needs help. As Ms.Jones said before, he's mentally corrupt."

"Mr.Klecka, you're missing the point!" Ms.Jones jumped in, "Look Mr.Klecka, are you family oriented?"

"Well-um-"

"Are you family oriented?" She repeated herself, just a bit sterner.

"How would you react to not having any parents or siblings? How would you carry yourself? Everyone needs someone at some point in their life."

"He should still be placed in a mental home. We can't just have a rapist roaming the streets."

"A mental home wouldn't do him any good." Ms.Jones spoke.

"Why would that be?" Mr.Klecka questioned.

"Jahseh's... different. If anything, a mental home would make things worse. Your honor," She turned towards Judge Shannon. "It'd be best if you free him. If he slips up once, I give you full permission to throw him back in prison."

Jahseh's eyes grew wide at Ms.Jones words. Then again, if Judge Shannon approved, he'd be free. He just had to make sure he was on his best behavior at all time, which would be quite abstruse for him.

"But, Your Honor-" Mr.Klecka started.

"Mr.Klecka, Ms.Jones is right." Judge Shannon spoke as Jahseh sighed from contentment. "As much as I'd hate to admit it, she has a point. Jahseh is going through a lot right now. A jail nor mental home certainly wouldn't do him any good."

[Yes, I'm aware this wouldn't happen in real life, but what you guys seem not to realize that this is a FANFICTION. So before you comment something, stating the absolute obvious, make yourself aware of that. Thank you.]

...

Jahseh did end up winning that case, recognition to Ms.Jones. Things couldn't get any better in Jahseh's life right now. He had just been liberated from prison and within realm of possibility, found his soulmate. Jahseh ached for Ms.Jones for a while now that he's been set free, what was holding him back? Craig, the guy he hadn't conversed within years was no longer a friend of his, he was exact opposite.

Jahseh hadn't feared Craig none at all. Craig was obviously weak because he didn't do anything but beat upon women. There was a fat chance of him losing against an actual man.

Little did Craig know, he was first on Jahseh's list. Jahseh knew Ms.Jones couldn't really possibly still have feelings for him after all he's done to her, so what would it matter if Craig just....

Dissapeared?

...

Jahseh went back to his cell, gathering his belongings, making a quick stop at Ms.Jones's office.

He knocked upon the door, capturing her attention, "Um, hey.." He smiled at her.

"Oh, hey!" She greeted him warmly. "What's up?" She foraged through a few papers on her desk.

"Nothing I just wanted to say thanks for help me so much. To be honest, I don't think I even deserved it." He chuckled.

She laughed along with him, "Don't worry about it, it's my job."

He nodded, "So when do I get to leave?"

"Tomorrow. I see you've already got your things gathered." She eyed the plastic bag hanging from his tatted knuckles.

"Yeah, I thought I'd be able to leave today.." He looked down, "I just want to get out of here."

"I understand but by rule, you have to stay in just one more day."

"Fine... Welp, it's about that time for you to go.." He walked up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist, "Thanks again." He whispered in her ear.

She felt her knees buckle just to his touch, "You're welcome." She spoke on his neck.

...

She unlocked the front door, creeping inside. Of course Craig was waiting up on her. She scoffed as she slammed the door shut behind her, causing Craig's head to snap in her direction.

"Come." He simple said, directing his head back towards the tv.

She hesitantly walked towards him as he pulled her onto his lap, "How's work?"

"Um, good?..." She fiddled with her fingers, "Why do you care?"

"Because I'm trying to change for you.." He lifted her chin, kissing her lips.

"Oh- Alright.." She looked down at her lap.

Nowadays it was hard for her to even look Craig in the eyes. All the things he put her through, emotionally and physically. Neither did she believe this 'new leaf' of his. But then again, this was the first time he told her he was trying to change for her. Usually she wasn't worth it.

"But I also need your help." He started as she look him in the eye. "Just please listen to me, 'cause when you don't it gets me mad.." He said as he caressed her high.

"No. You're not my father and you won't control me! The only way this whole 'us' thing will work is if we're equally dominate." She said, folding her arms.

He gritted his teeth, taking a deep breathe, "Sure. I just want this to work."

Her eyes widened at his calm and collected reply. "Thanks, Craig." She hugged him, shedding a few tears onto his collar.
