This is not art, but I thought I should share it with you guys anyway.

So I volunteer at my local animal shelter, taking care of kittens is my job, it's awesome, but anyway I was looking around and in the critter room there were two parakeets, and I've been really wanting birds for a long time and doing a whole lot of research. So I adopted them, they were perfect because they were both 7 meaning I wouldn't have to worry about them while in college and all that. They also make practically no mess and are really close to stepping up on my finger. Their names are George (blue) and Gracie (light green and yellow). They are quite well behaved and I'm currently trying to switch them on to pellets and veggies from their old seed diet.

I'm also pretty sure their old owners played Mario a lot, because George sings the theme song to Gracie all the time and he likes to sing along to it. They also preen each other's heads and it's adorable.
