"I'm bored."Sirius complained to James,Lupin,and Peter after they had finished their exams. Just as James had snatched a snitch from the air he said,"Hey look who t is?" The others except Lupin who was reading looked up and sneered." Hey Snivellus!!" James hollered at a tall, long black haired boy sitting on the grass. Severus looked up but before he could get his wand from his robes James used his want to lift him into the air. "How'd you do on the test Snivellus?" James taunted. "I saw his nose touching the paper.Professor won't be able to read it now that it has grease stains on it."Sirius added while Severus clawed at the air.

             "Leave him alone!" shouted a girlish voice from behind them. They turned around to see a small with green eyes and fiery red hair glaring at them.  "Lily!" James said ruffling his hair up." Put him down!"she said again. "But Lily this loser deserves it!" sneering at Severus. "I said put him down!"she proceeded. "I will if you go out with me." James responded smiling at her. "I'd never go out with a jerk like you; ruffling up your hair like you just got off a broomstick." she shot back. "Your girlfriend's trying to help you Snivellus." James said turning to him as Severus fell to the ground. "I don't need help from a filthy mud blood like her!" Severus yelled but he instantly regretting it. "Apologize!" James yelled pointing his wand at Severus. "No need. You dropped your wand Snivellus." Lily said turning and walking away.

              " You'll regret that!" James shouted but before he could perform a hex Severus knocked his wand out of his hand and ran away.  "Coward!" James yelled after him. Severus ran around the school shouting Lily's name but she was nowhere to be found. Eventually he gave up and went to bed. Severus was fast asleep until one of the boys gave a loud snore. It must have been past midnight because the sky was pitch black. Quietly he got out of bed and sneaked through the common room and out the door. Being normally quiet he arrived at the griffyndor portrait door. "Password." she leered. "Umm...can I see Lily?" he asked uncertain if that would work." That is not the password; you are wasting my time boy."she said narrowing her eyes at him. Impatient he began to knock on the portrait."Oh goodness stop that!" she yelled at him. "If you don't call Lily I will stay here all night and continue to knock." he said his confidence returning. "Fine! One moment." she said turning her back to him. "LILY!THERE'S A BOY OUT HERE WHO SAYS HE WON'T LEAVE UNTIL YOU COME AND SEE HIM!" he heard her yell.

                One minute later the portrait door opened and Lily was standing in the doorway glaring at him."What?" she said,he could tell from her voice that she was still mad at him. "Look,I'm really sorry I shouldn't have said that." he said hoping it would work.Lily said nothing she just looked at him."Lil-" he began but she cut him off. "Severus I don't want your apology.I want you to show that I'm important to you and not some filthy mud blood." she said her eyes glistening. "But you are."he said getting exasperated. "Don't tell me.Show me or I might have been wrong about my feelings."she answered then she shut the portrait door and left him alone.

                  Morning had come and he thought about what Lily had said while he got dressed, gathered his things and went to breakfast. Her feelings?What does that mean?Thought Severus.He entered the Great Hall to the smell of fresh breakfast. Severus immediately spotted Lily's red hair."Hey Lily!!"he shouted. Lily looked at him gave him a half smile and turned away. At least she's only half mad at me now.Thought Severus.As usual he sat by himself eating and reading. Except this time he wasn't paying attention to his book,instead he was thinking about he was going to prove how important Lily was to him. Severus was so lost in thought that he didn't pay attention in any of his classes. Until in DADA when Professor Dippet said, "Tomorrow  I'll be teaching you all on how to control and conjure a patronus." Severus payed closer attention after that and thought about it at lunch.

                 "Oi!Snivellus!" James shouted as he strutted over; the Slytherins' glared at him. "You still haven't apologized to my girlfriend."he said smirking. "I am NOT and NEVER will be your girlfriend!"Severus turned around and saw Lily glaring at James. He started walking towards her." You will be my girlfriend; prettiest boy goes with prettiest girl it's like the rule." he said practically shouting at her. Severus jumped in between them holding out his wand."I wouldn't do that if I were you. Jamie..." Severus said sneering. James' face went red,he shoved Severus against the wall his wand on his neck."Expecto Patronum!"Lily hollered with all her might. Suddenly a big silvery blue doe stampeded over James leaving him unconscious on the floor. Shocked Severus turned to thank her but she was gone; the doe has disappeared and Professor Mcgonagall was yelling at a confused James.

                   "Snape!" Professor Dippet shouted his head jerked upward and several students snickered." Now that we're all paying attention I will show you how to perform a patronus the you will try it."he continued pulling his wand his robes. "Now hold your wand at your target.Not another student mind you.Then, think of your happiest memory let it fill you up and shout Expecto Patronum!"Severus looked around and to his relief saw that everyone was nervous too."Mr.Snape you go first."said Professor Dippet. Severus stepped forward and raised his wand; he thought of his happiest memory."Expecto Patronum!"he shouted suddenly to his surprise,Lily's patronus burst from his wand.Severus's eyes went wide; this was how he would prove how much he cared for Lily.

                      After DADA the students clamored to the dorms eager for their soft warm beds. For the first time all day the castle was quiet except for Peeves and Filch.Everyone was asleep except for a except for a certain Slytherin; Severus's mind was racing trying to come up with a plan. Frustrated he groaned then fell into an uneasy sleep.

                      *Dream* "Lily!"shouted Severus. He had finally come up with a plan that was sure to work. Out if the corner of his eye he saw red hair whip around the corner.Severus followed, "Lily, I've been looking every-" he stopped and his heart fell to the pit of his stomach. Lily and James were in each other's arms and kissing. His eyes caught Lily's,"you didn't honestly think I'd pick you over James?"she said smirking."You missed your chance Snivellus." chuckled James.*End of Dream*

                         Severus gasped and sat bolt upright. It was Saturday and sunlight was streaming in.Severus sighed and got out of his bed to brush his hair. After he got dressed and deemed himself presentable he stalked off to the Great Hall.

                         Halfway there he was stopped when he heard shuffling; curious he followed the sound and saw James pushing Lily against the wall. "For the last time I don't want to date you!" Lily said her green eyes flashing. "You don't have a choice Evans."James said sneering. He then proceeded to kiss her when Severus gained back his courage and bellowed,"oh yes she does!". "Sev!" Lily said beaming. Severus smiled at his nickname."What are you gonna do,Snivellus!"James said pushing him to the floor."Stop it!" Lily yelled.James smiled and turned,"Just accept it Lily. You will be my girlfriend." Anger bubbled inside of Severus."Expecto Patronum!!"Severus yelled.Suddenly a doe burst from his wand and chased James away.Sneering Severus turned only to be crushed in a hug." Thank you Sev."she whispered. Shocked but relieved he mumbled," Your welcome." What happened next only shocked him more, Lily stood on the tips of her toes and kissed him. Severus just stood their lips tingling from the contact. " Lily...I-I like you."he blutered out. Lily's smile widened." I like you too Sev." she whispered.

                       Severus couldn't believe his ears it was like everything was falling into place."Now come on  ,breakfast's almost over."she said pulling him away.

                                                      18 YEARS LATER 

                        " I don't think I can do this."Severus whispered to his best man,Albus Dumbledore while the guests took their seats. Dumbledore chuckled. "You'll be fine. You love Lily don't you? Or do you not care for her as I thought you did?" he said his eyes twinkling behind his half moon spectacles.Severus looked taken aback;"Of course I love her! I would do anything for her!"Dumbledore raised his eyebrow,"Then you have nothing to worry about." Severus started to fan himself with the end of his cloak."Severus put that away it's starting..!"Remus hissed from his seat.He quickly let go of his cloak and began to panic.What am I doing here? Why am I here? He thought to himself.Suddenly the guests stood up and the music began to play.

                           The bridesmaids walked down the aisle with their dates smiling and waving.Severus rolled his eyes; well of course they're not nervous.He complained in his head.The crowd gasped and Severus looked up at the most beautiful creature in the world. Lily was wearing a sparkly white dress that brushed the floor.Her flaming red hair fell in curls on each of her shoulders. In her hands were a small bouquet of Lillies. Oh and her smile...That beautiful white smile, it was as if she was the only source of light for miles.

                            After what seemed like decades Lily was finally opposite Severus and the music stopped.Severus continued to stare in awe at his future wife. Dumbledore nudged him releasing him from his trance. "Do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife,in sickness and in health until death do you part?"the priest repeated. "Hmm..?Oh I mean yes yes I do!"Severus said his face redding."Then I pronounce you husband and wife; you may kiss the bride."the priest finished. Lily put her hands on Severus's pale cheeks and kissed him;returning the kiss he put his hands on her waist.The crowd broke into applause whooping and whistleing. Over the commotion Severus looked at Lily and said,"I love you." She smiled,"I love you too...Always."
