Chapter Ten
"What the hell was that all about?" Alya asked as the four teens sat together at a table with their lunches. "Did you know him Mari?"
Marinette shook her head no as she pulled out a bag of cookies for her friends, setting them on the wooden table in front of her.
"Oo, cookies! For moi?" Alya immediately yanked the sack away from Nino's and Adrien's grasp as she began to take several of the chocolate chip cookies out of the bag. Adrien and Nino each grabbed on for themselves, leaving around 5 cookies left in the bag.
"So when did you and Adrien start dating?" Alya asked with a mouthful of cookies, crumbles falling out.
"What?" Their faces flushed red before Marinette answered.
"W-We're not... We're not dating." She stuttered out quietly, causing Adrien's heart to crack.
Oh wait... She's dating Chat, and I'm not Chat Noir right now. Dumbass.
"Yeah, she's right."
"Oo, is there someone else then, Mari? A knight maybe?"
"Huh?" Marinette's and Adrien's eyes widened a the bluenette dropped her jaw. "W-What a-are you s-saying? Exactly?"
"Well, I just thought that since you don't have a crush on your Prince Charming anymore, that maybe you'd prefer knights. Do you?"
Marinette's heart dropped at the question. She was about to answer but Alya began to reach for the rest of the cookies.
"Yes!" Marinette snatched the bag before Alya could grab them and held them above her. "And the rest of these are for him."
Oo more cookies for me? Thank you Princess!
"So you admit it?! Who is he? Is he hot?"
"Yes, he is hot." Adrien's face flushed but on the inside he smirked. He heard Alya basically interrogate Marinette on who her new crush or boyfriend was.
"What color is his hair?"
"Is he sweet?"
Marinette grinned as she spoke with a far away look in her eye, as if she were reminiscing something great.
"Yeah... He's the sweetest." She fiddled with the black paw pendant they hung delicately in her chest.
"He gave you that?! That was months ago! How long has this been going on?!"
"Huh? Oh uh... Around my birthday I guess. We never really said anything, it just sort of, happened. I don't know."
Adrien frowned. Did they really never make it official? He's got to do something about that...
"Is he a badass?" This question caught Adrien's attention as he turned to Marinette with his eyebrows raised, eating a cookie as he waited for he response.
"In his own way he is, I guess. He's super protective, but he can get super jealous sometimes too."
"Well of course he'd be jealous!" Adrien defends himself as he furrows his brows in to a frown. "I mean, you have guys throwing themselves at you left and right! He probably feels like you could leave him at any second if you find out that these guys are probably better then him."
Marinette frowned at his statement. "I couldn't be able to find a better person then him. He's one of the greatest people I have ever met, not to mention he's one of my best friends and I trust him with my life. He's gotten me out of a lot of sticky situations, and even when I couldn't remember him, he stuck by my side until I did. So he has no reason to think that..."
After seeing her face, Adrien piped up again. "Maybe you're right, but have you ever told him that? It may not seem like it, but guys are insecure as well. They just don't show it because they think that it will make them seem weak."
He gave her a smile as the rest of them continued to eat lunch.
"Since when did you get so good at giving relationship advice? Maybe I should come to you sometime." Ayla muttered as she bit in to her sandwich.
"Hey, we aren't having any problems Alya!" Niño called out , hooking an arm around his girlfriend.
"I know babe. I know. But Adrien's awesome with advice!"
"But I'm better!"
The four friends laughed and enjoyed the rest of their lunch together.
Sorry it's short but the next chapter will be longer. This was just a filler.
Until next time, peace!
