Wen Junhui: Tell Me

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Veeral lived Princess Jennifer, who was renowned throughout the land for her unmatched beauty. However, she was trapped in a life she did not choose. Her father who was the King, had arranged for her to marry the Prince of a neighboring kingdom in order to strengthen the alliance between the two nations.

But the Princess was in love with Junhui, a Commoner who lived beyond the castle walls. As the night of the wedding drew near, Jennifer sat in her chambers, waiting anxiously for Junhui to come and rescue her from the palace.

The breathtaking Princess as she was known colloquially, paced around inside her magnolious chamber with fidgeting slender fingers. Inside her beating heart, there was a small part of desperate hope that arose. The rapid walking stopped in front of a large mirror that was attached onto the wooden material of that closet.

Jennifer looked herself in the eye, the lightest brown shade of orbs were right staring back while scanning her whole appearance in a blink. Even she could sometimes not believe her own sight, wearing a satin tea green nightgown that looked average to the delicacy she reflected.

The milky white skin glowed increasingly, the shining moonlight of that particular night being an immensely helpful tool. She slid her thin fingers through the handle, opening the door of the closet to reveal a wooden frame that hold a sketch. And this creation was not like any other that may have been displayed before.

A face of a gracious man with a sharp jawline, slightly curved eyes that appeared kind of droopy and his moles that suited his skin like no flaw appeared in front of her eyesight. The knitted hood on his head covered half of his dark brown hair. Jennifer gazed at the aligned drawing she was holding with both hands, letting one go to cautiously touch the lines of the sketch as if she would ruin the work.

Mournful sighs left her lips voluntarily, softly whispering her honest thoughts. 'Neither I am awake, nor am I sleepy. I am so lost now Wen Junhui, thinking about you hurts my heart even more. When will you come to free me from all this misery?'

Her desperate cry might have reached the outside corridors behind the palace's walls. The land was preparing a whole fest for the upcoming wedding as the Commoner walked through the night market. Half of his face was hidden behind a raven black scarf, the thin eyeliner curving his dark eyes in a rougher way.

Wen Junhui was known for being a wholesome troublemaker throughout the Kingdom of Veeral, been caught in several thefts and hefty steals. The only heist that the Guards did not catch him for was that of the Princess, Junhui stole her heart the minute he encountered her during the Spring feast that occurred a season ago.

They could not stop taking glances at each other, and when the Princess decided to take the matter in her own hands by going undercover to secretly meet up with him, Junhui would not let her go for even a dime. They managed to keep their outlawed relationship from the universe's sources, but that was not enough to keep the King from his own plans.

Junhui on the other hand had set his determent mind straight, going precisely into the tiger's den as he would prefer to describe it. His right hands reached into the ruby pouch that was attached onto his belt, grabbing a generous number of golden coins that he threw right up in the evening air.

The expected outcome started, a large crowd of caitiffs running up to take their chances of becoming slightly wealthier. The Guards were obviously caught off their own purposes, reaching with all of power to put an end to the created mess.

Junhui took his forged opportunity, the only way to see his beloved again. The longing and missing set his heart on fire as he could not hide his love for Jennifer anymore, it became too obvious that anybody could tell that he loved her.

He wanted to convey his earnest feelings for the Princess, but in order to do that, Junhui should move forward for which he threw his life away. Entering the castle's gate that the Guards had foolishly left open after smirking in satisfaction at what he had caused, the Commoner sneaked his path towards the chamber where Jennifer was waiting.

The Princess held the frame onto her chest while she had herself seated onto the sleeping mattress, sensing the cardiac organ moved like it had never done before. She wanted to confess to her dearest man that she had fallen deep in love, and that it was finally the time for them to meet without any restrictions.

A creaking sound that the chamber's door made echoed through the air, her head turning around as the light brown eyes diverted to Junhui who stood there in his full attire. Her mouth was left open in consternation, the Commoner engrossed himself to the other outcome.

If Junhui had not seen before the atrocious thing called a forcible wedlock, he would have been utterly sad without the knowledge if he would ever become happy again. The only potion to this obstacle would be to perceive the Princess's face as the world would mean nothing without her presence next to him.

Junhui rushed himself towards the stressing Jennifer, who in contrary was being in delusional of him getting caught any moment. 'What are you doing here? What if anyone sees...'

The hand covering her mouth silenced and calmed her down in a hast, shaking his head grinningly as Junhui caressed her left cheek while placing one hand on her small. 'I am here now, you do not have to worry anymore. We are about to escape the palace my Princess.'

Jennifer shut her light brown eyes to the ground, cluelessly rethinking her decision that would change her life forever. Feeling the hand on her back move up, she looked Junhui is the eye again while he removed the pin to let her long brown hair come loose. 'Come before your father finds out.'

Subsequently changing into camouflage-colored rags that were still made out of material that could only be found inside the castle's walls, the two left hand in hand through the gateway without being noticed by anyone.

Jennifer felt something rushing through her veins, a kind of jittery that never flowed. And that is when she realized that they were made for each other. Meanwhile, the Guards came back from resolving the caused chaos, only to find out that a certain royal family member was missing from the scene.

They jaunted in fear for what the King might do, ringing the gong might create an opportunity to escape that haunt. All knew that when that sound resonated through the land, something horrible was about to happen.

Junhui and Jennifer broke themselves out of the town's boundary, stealing one of the Shepard's horses. With the Commoner behind the Princess's back, galloping further into the woods is the only thing they could do now.

His mind drifted ahead, the essence of faith engulfing his whole posture at once. That is what people preach for, his passionate or rather crazy love for Jennifer is what he never had expected from life.

Her alluring light brown orbs, he had asked them to take it easy on him as they were absolutely stunning. They paused their journey for a moment, igniting a fire that would keep them on temperature.

Moonlight had surrounded from every corner as Junhui hugged the Princess from behind, softly whispering his honest thinking. 'My beloved, I got you a present. I know that the jewelry might seem small and cheap, but this is the only memory what makes me remember my mother.'

His left hand reached into his ruby pocket again, this time revealing a silvery bangle with tourmaline-pink gemstones that were already faded in color. Yet, the given bracelet was a token of love and that was all that mattered to Jennifer as he slid it onto her left hand.

She smiled while putting Junhui's face against hers, confiding what she sincerely thought of the bestowal. 'I am so glad to wear this gift from you Junhui. Look how this bracelet is appearing so beautifully on my wrist.'

As Junhui leaned a bit away, he instantly diverted his course by setting his chin on the crook of her neck, staring at as the fire ignited more into the night glory with the bright stars encircling them.

After continuing their escape, the two forbidden lovers reached the boundaries of the Kingdom of Veeral before finding an abandoned shelter to spend the rest of the night in.

Jennifer cheerfully investigated their hideout, jumping around which made the Commoner chuckle. 'Wow, I have never been in a place like this before. The palace walls hid this from me for so many years. I am happy that I can finally see the real world now and...'

Her blissful sentences were halted by someone who reached for the hood that Jennifer put on to cover her identity. She turned around, seeing Junhui in a close proximity made her heart spark in high flames.

His deep voice started whispering words she had never heard before from him, taking Jennifer closer to his broad frame in a swift. 'Jennifer, my Princess, I will take your name even when I am sleeping. I want to be with you like your shadow...'

Knights in armor, goons and every single man in Veeral was send out to search for the daughter of the King. These designated people were not that outsmarted, finding the hidden shelter just minutes after the Commoner and his Princess had arrived. Knowing and hearing movements from behind the wood and hay, the Guards set immediate fire to the hideout as they thought that the two culprits were inside.

The yellow, blue, and orange ghosts danced across dried grass, tiny snaps of their feet were against the wood as it sparked large flames. That fire was unfortunate for many people, including the King, his whole nation and the one who was supposed to marry the Princess.

Still, the prosperous part of this was that two people were brought together without any restrictions. Nevertheless, Junhui and Jennifer had escaped from the gate behind, sailing themselves on a timbery boat while watching their fake deaths arise.

Gazing at her until Jennifer noticed it, Junhui finally conveyed his true feelings after putting his lips to kiss her forehead slowly. 'Hey Princess, there is one thing...yes Jennifer there is one thing I always wanted to tell you. Since the very first day that I saw you...I love you.'

And so, Jennifer and Junhui fled the kingdom together, leaving behind the life that had been planned for them. They knew that they would face many challenges ahead, but as long as they had each other, they were ready to face whatever came their way.

First of all, thank you so much that you have come so far by reading my imagines!!! I really appreciate the effort and time <3

And now, hear me out.

It is my first time writing something like this one, as in a period drama kind of  a story. And I am not going to lie that I found it pretty difficult to continue but I pulled through eventually.

As I am progressing in making imagines, these might get longer every chapter so I sincerely apologize for that ;-)

This story inspired by Guli Mata, a song by Saad Lamjarred and Shreya Ghoshal that I recently fell in love with. The lyrics of this song are incorporated in the story including the intro and outro hihi. Jennifer Winget is the actress in the video.

And of course I had someone in my mind while writing Jennifer's character. It is none other that Huh Yunjin from Le Sserafim whose real name is indeed Jennifer (stream her new song called "blessing in disguise")

Disclaimer: I am not shipping any of these idols together. They just fit the vibe every now and then <3

Please share and vote <3

Love,
