OT13 (SVT): Bittersweet Part 7

People around us should be happy that this was the appointed place where you could freely talk, otherwise we would have been kicked out of the building already.

Soonyoung, or better called Hoshi tried to convince us of some ridiculous ideas for the upcoming presentation with Junhui breaking his confident spirit every damn second.

Diversified jet-black cables to keep our laptops from running out of battery, printed papers with the assignment stuck on it to increase our burdens in firm sentences and Eunbi's remarkable amount of colored markers were spread over the crimson surface.

As my innocent psyche neglected to smile or laugh at those arguing dummies, the evident beam was tragically visible for everyone around the rounded red table including the invisible enigmatic man.

Every apprehensive glance in my dark brown eyes met Wonwoo's compelling gaze occasionally, him smirking lopsided made the giddiness appear inside my gut. I have seen him portray this everlasting simper so many times, this time however it weirdly toted an ounce of candor.

Neither did I forget to check him out in a less amorous way. The simple black with white stripes on the collar varsity bomber jacket did no justice to his tragic good looks. Wonwoo had his black hair up with the various strands falling onto his forehead effortlessly.

I gave a grimace of pain whenever I would see that grin hanging onto his mouth, the infuriating half-smile on his mouth fading as the booked next move while an awkwardly sad sigh was heard from his side.

This odd circle of actions went on for around five times until Soonyoung suggested something moderately convincing. 'Yah, should we not need some clean sheets of paper and essentials for the poster we are presenting?'

A refuting voice was audible again, Junhui making fun of the poor Horangi (tiger) boy while I tried to keep my lips corners from moving upwards. 'We could also just print our resourced articles or make the whole poster online which would save us a lot more time. Oh wait, those tiger's claws of yours cannot handle a simple program on the computer.'

Pouting with his lips protruded, Soonyoung screamed again which made the four of us cringe internally without a doubt. 'Shut up Moon! We should be creative with our hands. We are going to get higher points with that tactic anyways. Do you want to be called a lazy twit or what? Wait a minute, your nature is like that anyways.'

Junhui pretended to neglect him, basically riling him up as he let Soonyoung see his left ear shell. 'From whom was that roar? Did you all hear something?'

Keeping his eyelids closed for a jiff, Wonwoo interfered the fight as if it is his daily job. 'Can we please just move on? I think that it is a great idea to start on paper.'

The courteous disguise made me sure of one thing, his naïve friends are clearly not aware of his felonious extracurricular activities.

My best friend could apparently not agree more, grabbing me tightly by the upper arm while Eunbi exclaimed in rapid words that were somewhat understandable. 'And I agree to that. Dohee-yah, you should go to the supply room and get something for our project. Wonwoo-ssi, do you want to help her?'

Being obvious is an understatement, knife-sharp darts were sent in hasty speed towards the overjoyed girl. A quick look around the table got me an insight of their given reactions, his close acquaintances showed puzzled attitudes as Wonwoo's foxlike eyes reacted to Eunbi's absurd suggestion.

They flinched in milliseconds.

I simply fake smiled, the whisper dove underneath my rocky breath as I nudged Eunbi on her left knee with mine. 'Why are you not coming along with me? I am telling you that this not a great idea.'

Eunbi met my panicked dark brown eyes for a blink, glancing towards the guys again while she religiously practiced her ventriloquizing. 'You know why.'

Habitual winks from her side made me swear and curse the female best friend, pushing me onto both my feet that resisted to stride forward. I did not even wait for the enigmatic man to follow me.

The burdening presence of him was enough for me to know that he would not dare to walk beside me, rather choosing the place closely behind.

Silences are musical instruments, playing them into a melodious muted piece or fine tuning them through unspoken words. Everyone seems to forget a little-known fact, false notes in a sequence do exist which can convulse the entire song of speculated secrecy.

A large part of my demeanor found itself in agony, discernible exhales left the edges of my lips as I opened the storage room with a bit of urgency in the swing. The mellow lighted place made me flicker my eyelids rapidly to conduct my determined goal, searching for the required stuff for me to escape the conversation.

Benjamin Franklin's philosophy came to mind suddenly, the click of the door that had been locked failed the plan that was initially planned to fail.

My head relocated to the back, seeing Wonwoo holding his dominant hand over the silvery handle a bit longer while the lowering skull of his erupted my patience. Rolling my dark brown eyes, I faced my front side again to jaunt in harsh steps towards the cabinets filled with junk and debris.

I was not just going to stand there and do nothing.

The clammy fingers that trembled for no reason stretched out to the chalky sheets that seemed to be lying around there for decades, Wonwoo's deep voice stopping my hasty movements at once. 'Peach.'

His false front got me going a bit dizzy, my shuddering hands went through the layers of white paper to search for a bigger one.

Annoyance suited my irritated voice, gritting in an unmistakable sound that I was not amused to be in the place I was forced to be in today. 'Why did you even agree with Hwang Eunbi to join our group? A no would have been enough to avoid this mess.'

There was no conceivable way that I was going to turn back around, knowing that I would succumb in one quick vision.

His foxlike eyes that I could surely feel on my frame thought otherwise, cautious shuffling from his sneakers were coming near. 'Kwon Soonyoung was way too excited to get in a group with you girls. He got a little crush on your friend.'

Of course he does. How could you not fall for that dearest angel of a friend of mine who I wanted to punch to the blue right now.

Scorning at his self-defense, the voice that I wanted to be as blunt as possible sounded rather silly. 'Bummer. She has not been single for a pretty long time now. Care to let your friend know about that?'

A deep sigh filled the muffy air around us, demanding something from seemingly the bottom of his heart. 'Can you please look at me for a second? Peach, I need to talk to...'

Stopping the rummaging with my palms fisting, I spoke in a distinct tone of reticence. 'We should take these papers, glue that probably has been dried out and get the hell out of here, don't you think? The faster we go, the faster we do not have to see each other. I am surely excited about that latter part.'

Our protective bubbles clashed together at a glance, my lips began quivering unstoppably because I somehow knew what was coming.

Wonwoo's baritone voice resonated much stronger, closer and demanding. 'I am asking you again. Look at me.'

My stubborn self was not going to give in just yet, biting my lower lip to fight the embarrassing urge. 'And I will stick to my original plan if you do not mind.'

Vivid senses became much more active, his sanguine warmth entering intimately within my boundary. Trying to hold my erratic breath in one place, his strong arms slowly engulfed me from behind. I wanted to refuse his gesture and yet still, his delicate touch was somewhat magical to my skin.

The echoes of my heart's steady sound mended my broken wings in that hug. I do not know for how long we stayed in that position. The only thing that moved were our cardiac organs bouncing in one dainty rhythm.

Wonwoo's adamant embrace was much more comfortable than I would have liked, feeling him move my long black hair to the left front side which made the wrinkled frown appeared upon my forehead.

There was no way that I had imagined his next fearless move. His head moved quickly downwards before the soft lips found a way to my right shoulder, kissing the attired area without any permission or obstruction.

His body language made me freeze on spot, wanting to break free but my intrusive thoughts desired to stay.

Hell, I yearned for everything now. I wanted to take full accountability because I cannot ignore my heart anymore. There has got to be a reason why I am feeling that something about him is made for somebody like me.

A trail of slow abiding pecks was created in the curve of my neck, small whimpers left my mouth helplessly which made me bite the inside of my cheek in guilt.

The soft whisper as if he was delivering a secret took a parking spot right in the middle of my neck vein, yet the atrocious content was brought to light after his right hand had placed itself on my own aching devil's pit. 'It is still there, isn't it?'

All of us are entitled to keep certain things hidden, everyday I unluckily wake up to be confronted about the skeleton in the closet.

His thumb caressed the right side of my ribcage back and forth with meticulousness, just beneath the outline of my bra which gave me shivers despite it being a thickly clothed place. The bigger question, how did he find out and what were his following intentions with the disclosed information that the enigmatic man had gathered?

Clearing my throat while I surprised myself to calmly shake my head in denial, the decline that clashed with every claim made him grab me more into his powerful hold.

Wonwoo talked into the crook of my neck, tickling with the ends of his black hair strands that pricked the sore skin there while my breath hitched again. 'Have I not told you that I hate liars? Being dishonest is not for girls like you peach.'

Wow, this part time criminal should be casted on Broadway. His decent acting wanted to make me snicker outrageously loud and yet I managed to withhold the upcoming sarcastic laughs.

Seeing that I was not necessarily trying to get loose from his grasp, Wonwoo took his earned opportunity to move his mouth further in gradual kisses with his tender softness overwhelming me.

This may sound like way too much information, but did I feel a bit of wetness on my sensitive skin?

I guess I did, flinching at the treacherous frigidness only to make my rustling words stronger. 'Stop defining yourself like a saint. You sound like that no-lifer cousin of yours.'

The activity halted its proceedings, closing them with a single osculate that appeared annoying slow on the delicate rind. His strong arms detached not fully from my torso, turning me around with both of his hands to let me meet his well-proportioned features.

Evident dark circles underneath his foxlike eyes were quite visible drawn nigh, making me unknowingly inch closer in millimeters to take a better look. My concern expanded when I saw a glimmer of sorrow in those dark orbs, beating me with the truth in that very moment.

We encountered in a conversation with each other for the third time. This must be the only pristine occasion that he was roaming legitimately without any noticeable intoxication in his body.

The enigmatic man was indeed sober and that made me feel kind of relieved, at least now I knew that everything could be somewhat genuine from his colloquy.

Wonwoo scanned my ostensible flushed face before he surrendered himself to me, an anticipatory sigh leaving his soft lips at once. 'Choi Seungcheol pulled your file.'

Nobody except for the people afflicted to DIAMOND and Lee Chan knew about what occurred back then, no single soul was supposed to know anything until a random human being decided to get into the arcane property.

The acrimony that should have come up right after he discovered the slippery gateway to my past snapped in my dark brown eyes, watery lines forming on the edges because I knew exactly what he read.

Thumbs that were placed on my hips squeezed me slightly, making me wilfully hold the yearned eye contact. 'Honestly, that is reason why I have not slept for days because I kept on replaying the scenario on what happened so many years ago. No human deserves the position that you were put into peach.'

Firmly clenching fists reached the middle of his chest as I really wanted to break free from his grasp now that it felt too encumbering. 'And who gave you the audacity to read something that confidential?!'

Particles of saliva might have reached his spotless face, but I could not care less. He deserved this edifying lecture.

Shutting the disloyal thought that he smelled comparable to fragrant jasmine flowers out of the way, I haggled from the upcoming anger in a stumbling sentence. 'You are a nobody to me, so what right did you have...'

Nerves aligned themselves with goosebumps, the intriguing gaze from his foxlike eyes was something that I could not quite settle in the right place.

A blockage stopped my regular respiratory, the bridge of his nose bopping with mine while I barely handled to keep my eyelids open. 'Whether you like it or not, I am a somebody in your life. Hwang Eunbi is so bad at hiding things. She was quite vocal on how you would die to work together with us which made me realize one thing.'

The enigmatic man had probably outsmarted her. My female best friend may sometimes show a foolish behavior, but I still wanted to believe that she could not be that obvious.

Wonwoo extended his index finger to put a strand of hair behind my left ear, the pointer being shaky from my bewildered perspective.

Bolt out of the blue, the enigmatic man grabbed my nape to pull me more into his strong arms as he buzzed the pronoun. 'You..'

In the vicinity of me cowering, his soft lips kissed my earlobe while the next two words made my heart skip multiple beats. '...love me...'

As he spoke into my left ear shell, creeps took entire control of my weakened body. '...peach.'

Why can I not ever refute him?

Crumbling down was bound to happen any second from now, my lips resisting to detach from one another as the trembles in my body provided the last remaining defense mechanism.

His warm breath hit me in various places around the area of my ear, perduring the gratifying passages with difficulty.

For the love of God, Wonwoo had to be put into deadlock and so was the cruel intention of my monologue. 'Love is a massive term and you do certainly not fit in that category. A hypocritical bastard. That is exactly what you are, Jeon Wonwoo.'

The fervor vanished from my canoodled skin, leaning marginally to the back while his foxlike eyes turned more subdued. Testing the waters whether I would give into his presumable sick games, Wonwoo checked every inch of my given reaction with his dark orbs.

Nothing else but untruthfulness and sham carried in the annotation of my words, Wonwoo slightly shaking his head horizontal in a direct rejection. 'You might not believe what I am about to say, but I am so sorry for what happened to you. If I would have been there in his...'

The spoken sentence faded abruptly in volume as my dark brown spewed nothing else but inferno. Our breaths mingled together in this close proximity, the heart inside my body was palpating in the wildest tempo ever that its sound could be audible for the outside world.

Anger threw upon my demeanor, substituting it directly towards Wonwoo's distressed face while I condemned his concernment. 'Why would I buy your uncalled-for apology? Where did the Jeon Wonwoo go who wanted to just get me for his own sick pleasures, that same ttorai (nutjob) who wanted me to give in into his nasty games? And if I remember it correctly, you never apologized for once in your life.'

Wonwoo bit his lower lip, declining to meet my dark brown eyes for a second which made me gulp a nervous tinge away. 'I only say sorry to the people who really deserve an apology. That ssangnyeon (bitch) knew about my assets and wanted to be a mob wife no matter what it took. Unfortunately for her, I saw right through the scheme.'

His proposition made me want to treat it contemptuously, a perceptible scoff leaving my mouth while I lifted my head to the left side.

Aiming for a different outcome, I felt two fingertips moving towards my chin to make me meet his foxlike eyes. 'I kept on wondering whether I should do it or not, but I gave in. I met my brother in prison the day before yesterday.'

After the intense argument between Seo Inguk and Jeon Wonwoo at the wedding reception, I had been willing to know more as it might had to do with everything that has been happened in my life up until now. I just could not bare to face my guardian angel to tell me everything, scared that I would break the morals of our meaningful relationship.

Inquisitively staying silent to hear the rest, curiosity was about to kill the cat in poisonous fume. 'We are entangled peach. Your boss was right about something.'

The fingers removed themselves from my chin, taking his black framed glasses off while he rubbed his closed eyelids in evident tiredness. 'Hyung told me a story about a certain young lady. One crucial decision let those two to their aligned downfalls. He has been unjustified in prison for over seven years.'

Seven stands in the Bible for a timeline marked by great troubles, because it shall get worse until it should get better.

There was no alternative than listening to the whole tale. The number that signified years and would be landing on the aggravating date was way too familiar to my liking.

Bending forward to set his specs away on the counter behind me, Wonwoo shifted to lean his forehead unexpectedly on mine with deliberation while he lightly whispered. 'I can see it in your eyes peach. It is exactly what you are thinking right now.'

The slight raise created an inch between us, salty tear drops were already falling on my blushing cheeks which Wonwoo instantly move away with both of his thumbs.

I truly hoped that he was not going to ride onto that dangerous road, the enigmatic man proving me wrong and anxious at instant. 'That michinsaekki (son of a bitch) put all of our lives in jeopardy. You might recognize the very name. Park Taewoo.'

Goosebumps from my head to toe started throbbing in many places, crystalline tears oozing out in a faster buoyant pace. Bygone arduous times glitched in the same night terror again, creating a blurry sight in front of me.

The sadistic name was a prohibited word, physiatrists insisted to the people around me who were aware of that demon's existence to never use it in any circumstance. Little did Wonwoo know that the designated gesture was to prevent some serious panic attacks.

Suspires became irregular, my clenching fists failing to anchor me while I perceived a tight hold on both of my cheeks. Although I heard diverse calming hushes, the peace did not reach the state I was altering in. Hysteria was observable in his following hasty movements.

And before I could decipher the displayed situation, Wonwoo' soft lips were placed over mine that made my bleary view clear at once. My dark brown eyes expanded widely open, holding my breath in coherent reflex.

Nothing else but sweetness was transferred over in that given token, still leaving space between our mouths within ten seconds of collision.

Drops of my own created sadness were still descending on my heated cheeks, Wonwoo evaporating them in nimble strokes as he sighed in pure panic at what he had done to make me regain my posture. 'Have you calmed down Do Dohee?'

My name sounded so perfectly in his deep voice, the entirety making my heart tingle in unreachable places. Noises that were heard in the storage room came from our meager pants that slowly synchronized, doddering from the aftermath while his foxlike eyes were clearly asking for permission to continue.

Baffled in blameworthy feelings, those emotions exploded in ignominy of realness and weakness. A sane mind requesting that I should have run out, the beating left thing in my chest said otherwise.

Our rims hovered over one another, contacting each other every other second as I looked at his soft lips in unexpected anticipation. A glint of relieve arose, grabbing the lone shot while he did not wait another blink to kiss my lips again.

One touch that steeped in ignited passion, a promise of faithfulness and the primal desire was undeniable. I did not know what took over me, just letting the enigmatic man do whatever he desired.

The swift gradation of intensity made me cling onto the anthracite shirt that he had worn underneath his jacket. His soft lips began to move in such a technical way as if Wonwoo had waited for this particular moment.

A warm hand crossed over to the back of my neck, getting better access in my mouth while the surging tide of warmth weakened the power in the knees. Probably feeling the lose of strength, Wonwoo titled my body on the counter to make me sit on a vaguely lower level than his height.

He stood in between my legs, the soft lips leaving deeper smooches that sent wild tremors along my nerves. Under no circumstance would I be gifted to feel those evoking sensations.

Navigating the gentle grasp into my long hair strands, he wholly pushed my face upwards to him. The tip of his tongue brushed the edges of my lips once more, melting in the urgent signal that Wonwoo had given.

Clearly taking his granted time to show me how meaningful this all must be, the hesitant movements of his warm palms on the sides of my stomach rooming to my thighs and upwards made me open my dark brown eyes.

Seeing the affection in his lately opened foxlike ones, Wonwoo left my mouth to graze the chin and my jaw in open-mouthed kisses. And that is when the brains started working in high speed, a rush of guiltiness suiting the digging of my clenching fist on his chest.

I still managed to whisper a rejection towards the enigmatic man, sensing his soft lips opposing to leave. 'We should stop.'

Retreating from the sensual position, Wonwoo surprisingly could not utter much as he stood perplexed and puzzled on how he could phrase the awareness of what had just happened between the two of us. 'I...'

Unclenching my trembling hands with difficulty, I wanted to push myself of the cold counter in one go. 'I am going.'

His mouth lingering over mine made me flinch at impact, shutting my eyelids tightly from the afraidness.

The enigmatic man halted my escape by the strong hold on my waist. His now intimate soft lips touched mine by his gracious words as he fondled my neck dearly. 'We need to go in the same way peach. And I do not think that I will be able leave just yet.'

Touching the seemingly tousled long black hair of mine, Wonwoo leaned in to plant a lingering kiss on my mouth which the vulnerability allowed once again. My mind materialized through a foreign land, feeling as if he was fixing all the leftover cracks that had been affected over the course of years.

Passion ignited from the shaping kisses, reciprocating it stubbornly which made me cognizant. I was not going to get out of this hole of infatuation, redeeming myself was the only option open for enrollment. His teeth tugged the bottom lip loose, making me wince from the pleasuring sting.

Wonwoo grabbed my left wrist, pecking it lovely before he put my fisted palm against his rapidly pounding chest. 'Do you feel that peach? My heart has never reacted so severely, never ached thus painfully and now, it is beating like a freaking machine. You changed me.'

I casted the rolling die, even though that I was not sure whether I had meant my final resolution towards him. 'What are you going to do if I really do lean on you?'

His foxlike eyes changed in emotion, unable how to answer my direct question. Tranquillity launched the false note that was anticipated, sniffing the forthcoming affliction in another direction.

Grabbing myself together, Wonwoo backed up a step to make me hop off as I gathered the needed essentials for our forgotten members who are probably wondering why it was taking us so long.

Trying to ignore his loading presence behind me, the warm breath still hit the naked parts of my neck.

Enough with all the delay, I moved away to the exit while I glanced one last time to make sure that Wonwoo had heard me loud and clear. 'You are aware that I am willing to do that with my whole heart. Do not give me false hope, Jeon Wonwoo. Because we were always a losing game.'
