OT13 (SVT): Bittersweet Part 5

In-Yun.

A spiritual connection that spans across intricated lifetimes, drawn together by cosmic forces as if fate is dealing lucky hands into the sweetly addictive card game.

Perchance, perhaps, there are instances where you can perceive this paradox without even touching the unambiguous individual. Never thought that I could feel such a special affiliation to a stranger.

Every single syllable that addressed me carried a pinch of astonishment, diverting my puzzled head to the far-left side with my mouth sealed together. I had to peek upwards, the utterly tall man stood almost petrified when he met my dark brown eyes.

The dress shirt that revealed a tiny bit of his muscular frame appeared in the color of vanilla ice-cream, a dark bowtie fully untied on his clavicles that laid down in two even strokes. His glowing tanned skin shined underneath the sparkling lights, the perfectly managed hair fell in a sultry middle parting with loose waves on his forehead.

I took a particular note on how we shared the same hue in our eyes. This unpalatable knowledge made me feel kind of enchanted in his uncanny appearance. Uncertainty and longing are what I saw in his dark orbs, and I had no idea why this foreign man had to act that way.

My glossy lips parted to convey a normal follow-up question, tilting my head a bit to the left side in complete confusion. 'Excuse me, do I know you?'

Tension laid on our frontal eye contact, an insignificant part of me did not want to sever this strong line of emotions. Yet, there was a troop of flamboyantly handsome men on the lure, waiting for their sheer chance to disturb.

A melodic singing voice pitched in between us, getting the attention of several ones around him which made me internally cringe. 'Mingyu-yah! Why do you not introduce your lovely friend to us?'

Overly happy for his own good, the strands of black hair were on the wavier side that covered his entire forehead. He brazenly slammed his right arm around my neck while this maneuver almost choked me in the process.

I was never fond of physical actions from anyone who I have not given the permission to yet, glaring directly into the cheery guy's twinkling eyes. 'Back off.'

The seemingly trained arm left its resting place almost immediately, holding his arms high up as if I had caught him for a major crime. 'Yo, I was just trying to be nice. Let me introduce myself. I am Lee Seokmin, possible your new best friend and the happiest virus you will catch.'

That was without a fair notice. A tottering fragment of my idiotic friends flashed in front of my dark brown eyes, his unique eyesmile somehow reminded me of them as I mimicked it unwittingly. This made Seokmin beam even more genuinely.

Another guy from the intruders had spoken up, his fashionable aura came into sight with his upscale set of clothing and accessories. 'Who is she, Mingyu? This woman surely drinks like a man, or at least pretends to be.'

Chiefly this stranger was surely good with his straight-forwarded words, making sure that I was complimented and tormented in one whole sentence.

I wanted to open my mouth to clear this misunderstanding that these "Mingyu" friends had created themselves, yet the last man with distinct piercings halted my impromptu plan. 'She is DIAMOND's new girl.'

His exceptional doe eyes were far from cordial, scanning me from head to toe with supreme concentration. Words do travel faster than I thought, thinking about how I have never spotted any of these men on the surveillance camera's at our dearest nightclub.

Not that I had ever seen my utterly dimwitted crush on those video's. Why did that rotten bastard suddenly turn up in my head?

Nonetheless, how does this bizarre guy know anything about me at all? The frown never left the skin on my forehead, only to wrinkle more in bewilderment.

Finally, the tall man who is without a doubt called Mingyu had finally opened up his mouth, not many words coming out of his seemingly muddled thoughts, however. 'What?!'

Look, I was for sure in shock but that did not mean that I found it pretty weird that the tall man was lingering in the same state of mind.

Forget the jewelry from the guy who stared at me, his tattoos were probably even more frightening as he continued to voice his intel. 'Yes, she is all talks in town. Vernon Chwe had a lot to say about her.'

Oh boy and if I scorn that filthy manchild that I met last week without any groundwork. Why is it that the flirt's name can ruin my entire night in terms of mood?

Silence surrounded around our talking circle, the smiling guy clearing his throat while he kept his happy tone in the air. 'Well, who cares about that anyway. Chwe screws every beautiful woman. This woman right here is probably no exception.'

The antipathy was evident on my facial expression, looking down at my nude heels which were clapping together in awkwardness.

I noticed Seokmin drilling his twinkling eyes on the side of my head, an earnest apology delivered at once. 'Okay, maybe not in your case then. How did you become friends with Mingyu though? I have never seen you around.'

Why were they so eager to know how I had presumable met this Mingyu? I tried my utter best to show these guys the opposite, finding an opportunity to fix the error. 'I am so sorry, but I guess that you are...'

Before I could even explain myself, the fashionable guy whose name is still unknown to me ended and overshadowed my urgent words. 'Yah Kim Mingyu, I completely forgot that I came to get you. It is time for the first dance. Yewon was already looking around for you.'

First dance? That means that this handsome tall man is the... 'Oh yes! Come chingyu-yah (friend), you have to muster up the courage groom boy!'

Seokmin let out a boisterous laugh before he dragged Mingyu backwards by his bicep. The tall man's dark eyes were plastered with superglue on my skull, not buffering from its place while he mumbled barely audible. 'But Myungho...'

That took a toll on the fashionable guy, Myungho turning him around with all of his power as I could still hear his motherly nagging. 'No buts, we are already behind on schedule and your childish behavior is not helping at all. Be on time for once in your life.'

As the three eccentric men walked their way into the crowd, the tattooed guy was still within my personal perimeter. He moved his doe eyes in a slow pace, silently checking if I would do something unpredictable.

I persisted an answer for his odd behavior, taking a sip from my beloved whiskey after asking in a polite manner. 'Do you need something?'

He stared for a couple of more seconds, gesturing to the bartender for a randomly chosen drink before the tattooed man had landed his strong gaze on me again. 'What is a woman like you doing with a byeongsin (moron) like Seo Inguk? You do not seem the type to do such work.'

Reaching the edge of my glass again, I took a bigger gulp than intended while I decided to save me some effort by staying silent.

Absolutely the opposite of what the tattooed guy had expected, he snickered in a dramatic cadence while he tapped a rhythm on the bar surface. 'Seo Inguk's girls are similar to geolle gateun nyeondeula (bitches who like rag/whores). I would say that you look rather innocent.'

Where do all of these dudes get their brains from? My winning guess is the icky dumping ground.

His profanity was certainly not the style that I usually prefer, persisted to withhold my look from him while I threw a philosophical question in reverse. 'I am offended?'

Taking a minor stride towards my obtuse self, the doe-eyed man let an amusable scoff out while he hushed in a secretive sound. 'No, do not be. You are way too pretty for that darling.'

Rolling my dark brown eyes, I deliberately ignored his presence while I pretended to talk to myself. 'Men's true colors are precisely stinky barf.'

The unknown man's warmth shifted closer, preparing myself for a catfight because some people do not deserve a slight amount of respect. 'Let me give you a proper introduction...'

And before I could turn sidewards to give him a jab, I felt a solid pair of arms around my waist from behind.

The intimate smell of pure mint mixed with intoxicating alcohol entered my nostrils as I felt a warm cheek plastered against mine. 'And what is my peach doing with my favorite sachon dongsaeng (cousin)?'

A severely minor gasp left my mouth unvoluntarily, the aching heart in my chest started pounding hard again as his deep voice was something I could sadly recognize out of thousands. My fists clenched at his touch, wanting to get out of his bubble as soon as possible.

The doe eyed man looked quite entertained, chuckling while he greeted his supposed family member. 'Oh hyung, what brings you here?'

He grasped my quavering body closer to his broad chest as if Wonwoo wanted to cushion me from the tattooed guy in front us, feeling his heartbeat against my back spine. 'What do you mean Jeon Jungkook? I could not miss this joyous wedding for a dime! My beloved ex got married to that shibal-saekki (fucking son of a bitch). Guess what, this event made it the top three list of my most favorite things to witness this century.'

His former girlfriend?

I looked around to see the previously confused tall groom man with a beautiful lady inside his muscular arms, swaying to the slow beats of their precious first dance. The long locks of brown hair that descended in perfect curls, her blinding radiance screamed elegancy as the beautiful white off-the-shoulder gown made her look like a dignified fairy from an old storybook.

Wow and now I am feeling even more jealousy and enviousness. Do Dohee, please keep your head in the game and shut those stupid delusional thoughts out of your head. At this point, Jeon Wonwoo is a lost cause.

Slapping the tatted right hand in front of his mouth, Jungkook gasped in definite fake surprise. 'Oh yes, I forgot that our amazing genes makes us get in trouble everywhere. I will leave you all to it. See you later, peach?'

I wanted to turn around my body around and slap the enigmatic man who forcibly captivated me right in the face, courtesy and decent amenities kept me from the ridiculous idea of ruining someone's happy day. Nothing would be worse than a physical feud.

Wonwoo gritted his disaffection while he leaned the side of his face more on mine, slowing grazing the heated skin from up to down. 'I can only call her that byuntae (pervert).'

Jungkook poked the tongue inside his cheek, making himself ready to leave any moment now. 'Possessive huh? It is not your first rodeo on that road hyung. You did the same thing in high school with our lovely bride right there before she caught you cheating. Nevertheless, I will let you alone.'

Not that I had expected something different from the past teenager version of Jeon Wonwoo, this publicized disclosure still stung like a painful bee sting.

The tattooed guy left us alone, me grabbing both of the enigmatic man's hands right away in order to remove them. 'Get away from me, Jeon Wonwoo.'

A faint decline enrolled through my hearing, Wonwoo's soft lips were brushing the edge of my right ear as I tried to move to no avail. 'Why are you blushing peach?'

That would have sounded delightful if it was not for his indulged ethics. The enigmatic man nudged his nose against my ear shell as I almost squeaked in discontent. 'You...'

My shaking voice halted for the umpteenth time, Wonwoo's right hand leaving my waist to use the back of it to caress my cheek. 'You are wearing it tonight. Yeppeone (Pretty)...'

I knew that Wonwoo was not going to stop any minute now, sighing harshly as I moved my head to the left so that he could not reach my fiery face with his hand anymore. 'Are you done?

His deep whispers met the crook of my neck, making the exposed skin tingle at once. 'Why do you look so beautiful tonight?'

Justifying malice showed in my irritated cells, wishing that someone would come as fast as possible.

I tried to break free again by using my razor-sharp words again. 'For God's sake, let me...'

Something unexpected happened. The soft lips that I fantasized about for years were giving my neck a lingering kiss, making me turn into a frozen icicle at impact.

His demanding sentences were delivered, holding his mouth on the literal same spot. 'Gamanhi isseo (Stay still, do not move). Peach, you will not get rid of me that easily.'

I know that I am on the weaker side, but I still have some capable dignity left.

Punching him with the pointed part of my elbow in his stomach, Wonwoo yelped a silent scream out while I faced him from a suitable distance. I felt my right shoulder being touched, looking to that side where I met my guardian angel.

Inguk placed himself in front of me, a long weary sigh leaving his lips. His samgaeban eyes were always so different in situations like this, more compassionate than they ever could be. Some gazes are the promise of protection, his was all that and more.

And then Inguk said the invocable words he needed me to hear. Our silent comfort was there for an eternity.

I raised my eyebrows high, folding my bare arms while I mockingly smiled. 'You are a bit too late for this counterfeited encouraging, Seo Inguk.'

Inguk raised his left hand to cup my jaw for a second while he ignored my derogatory reference, letting the harbor go to turn himself the other way around.

I could still here a little murmur under his breath, making my breath move quicker. 'You are turning me softer each day, Daisy.'

Finally able to check the full look that Wonwoo was wearing on this wedding reception, the countless annoying butterflies in my stomach were alive and kicking. A black floral dress shirt was tucked into his black suit, his black hair was gelled up again with a few strands falling onto his milky white forehead.

The foxlike eyes were fronting cunning as always, not moving an inch from my side while he rolled his tongue teasingly over his bottom lip.

Inguk stepped closer to Wonwoo, speaking to the enigmatic man who perpetually smirked like a dimwitted psycho. 'Listen to me kanghaji (little puppy). If you cannot keep your dick in your pants, get yourself a plastic sex doll to play with. Was I not clear last night that she is off-limits?'

Despite the enigmatic man's clear ignorance, Inguk constrained the umbrage for a surprisingly long time.

Wonwoo scratched his left eyebrow as he expressed his disagreement by a negative gesture. 'And I have changed my mind hyungnim.'

The monotonously voice spoke again, squinting his samgaeban eyes while the dynamic boss tried to bring them on the same wavelength. 'Opening up new horizons is something you should do elsewhere.'

A huge exclaim left the soft lips of the enigmatic man, his foxlike eyes expanding in weird happiness scared the hell out of me. 'I rather see the brightest star in this universe over there. Guess what color that sun is carrying in the rays? Peach...

Wonwoo leaned his elbow on the counter while pointing his index finger on me. I trembled in a bit of fright, disgust evident everywhere on my frame.

Changing the subject was Seo Inguk's specialty, scoffing at the enigmatic man's attempt to flirt in this tense situation. 'Why have you not visited your brother in prison yet?'

His brother?

A strong feeling loitered around, apprehension suiting my state of mind in one brush. My dark brown eyes observed the backlash in the foxlike ones, melting and drifting away into another world.

Inguk continued because he could not stand the silence surrounding our chatting ring. 'Woojun is missing you. He asked me to check on your whereabouts since you will not pick up his calls.'

Breaking down in his own created mess, falling seemingly deeper into the reddish darkness as the strong gaze shot nothing but acrimony. 'Stop sugarcoating the whole thing.'

I stepped a bit closer to Inguk's right side, seeing my boss's concerned face in full vision now. This agonizing colloquy made me wonder, how close are these male individuals really?

Worriment adapted fully into the dynamic boss's voice, speaking in clear-cut sentences. 'I am trying to make you understand something. Your brother does not know anything about your organization, does he? If he knew, Woojun would have definitely kicked your ass out. He is in that rotten place for a reason, and you are making it worse by continuing what he had once started. The money was for your educational purposes.'

Wonwoo's voice cracked in a million parts, taking the alcoholic shot that was served in one go. 'Hyungnim, you are the last person that should be poking your nose into my business. And for it takes, when hyung gets out, he will be reigning over a dream-like empire. I have doubled his assets.'

Inguk glanced at me for one second, seeing the look in his samgaeban eyes freaked the daylights out of me. I knew exactly what that fabled stare meant.

One word.

Trouble. 'I really did not want to talk about this here, but you made me. Your last shipment, it has been ceased by the police department as of this afternoon.'

This news came hard upon Wonwoo, noticing the slight squint in his foxlike eyes while he raised his deep voice meagerly in confusion. 'What did you just say?'

Shrugging his shoulders, Inguk could only stay oblivious of the fact that the other one was about to blow up in his own fiercy rage. 'Ask your cop friend about it.'

Gossip about an angel or devil and you will hear their wings flapping around.

The well-known voice came into our talking circle, his thick right eyebrow raised high up as Choi Seungcheol took his designated place right beside Wonwoo. 'What is it that I should know?'

I am not going to be deceitful, the policeman's hunky looks got me weak on my knees for real. His long eyelashes fluttered towards me, showing his distinct dimples promptly as he came closer with a pleasant smile. 'Do Dohee, nice to see you again.'

And without a merciful warning, he grabbed my left hand to kiss the knuckles. My cheeks instantly warmed up by that guilty gesture as I cursed my inner self for liking it by any means. However, before I could tug my own hand back, the palm was occupied by Baekhyun who guardingly stood beside me while he spewed large quantities of enmity through his fluffy eyes.

Seungcheol howled at this scene, leaning his hand on Wonwoo's right shoulder before viewing my shattered reaction. 'Wonwoo was indeed right about your primitive protecters, Do Dohee.'

Laughs could be brought up later, Wonwoo wasting no time to investigate his failure as he glared at his cop friend. 'Were you aware that we have been caught with our supply?'

Seungcheol rolled his eyes in a tumble, smacking his lips innocently while his Daegu satoori (dialect) came out. 'Jangnan hana (Are you kidding me)? You just do not have an ounce of manners, do you? The intel was there before I could push a stop on it. Mianhada (Sorry).'

I was not sure where this dialogue was going, Inguk being in the same room as me while he insisted his wished outcome. 'Meet Woojun in prison. He is the only one who can tell you more because it is not my place to tell you anything.'

Wonwoo let his transparent shot glass fall down with a thud, coming rapidly closer to Inguk's front frame. 'Why are you persisting so hard?'

The meaningful glance was thrown at my side, Wonwoo copying the gesture with no clear intention as Inguk knitted his harsh revealing words together. 'Because you are going to find out the biggest factor why my dear friend is in prison. And the real reason why you should stay away from her.'

A gigantic divulge, my dark brown eyes growing increasingly wider as I diverted my ghastly peek towards Inguk. What did my boss mean by that sentence?

Pressure that had settled in between them exploded, the enigmatic man grabbing Inguk by his collar as he gnashed the request. 'By whom?! Who put my brother in prison, you motherfucker?!'

The thing that I was afraid for transpired in brisk speed, thinking that my interference would still be helpful. I drove myself amidst the fighting bulls, pushing Inguk a tiny bit to the back as I felt the other one's foxlike eyes scorching the flesh on my head.

Smelled like burning popcorn for reference.

Trying to meet the samgaeban eyes, I talked to both of them even though I was looking at just one. 'Stop arguing. Do you realize where we are right now? At a wedding reception, a place where two people are celebrating the promise to be with each other for the rest of their lives. We are invited in purpose to respect the pledges and vows.'

Grabbing both of my life companions by their biceps, I murmured something rather softly towards them. 'Come on, let's go. He is not worth the drama. You can straighten this matter out any other day.'

Baekhyun's warm palm met my back spine to comfort me, speaking fainted words of encouragement that I had acted the only right way.

Is it my greed or my pounding heart? Still, I could not help myself but to gaze back around to meet Wonwoo's foxlike eyes, seeing a slight glint of water and vulnerability.

Our contrasting worlds were dancing in slow motion, the urge to hug him heightened by each millisecond. Nothing was weirder because those damned feelings were increasing every time I saw him.

Ai, ai, ai!

This is exactly the point in the story where it will get moving.

And yes, it's our dear Mingyu's entrance which is so utterly important so stay tuned to find out more! He is playing a huge part to give some spoiler lol.

The burned flesh thingy, I am in a trial for laser hair removal and that is the exact smell (TMI #1)

Btw, the cast has expanded (as planned ;-)

- Our dearest Jeon Jungkook who is my first ever bias when I entered the world of Kpop. Basically the one who made me watch tons of interviews of BTS until I could not Jimin-out.

- Kim Yewon (a.k.a. Umji from Viviz) because I love her haha.

- Wonwoo's brother Jeon Woojun is played by non other than Wi Hajoon (he's hot, don't mind me hehe).

I know I have been pushing this a lot but voting is pretty important for the rankings. If there is a possibility for you to do so, please do <3 (I am not good at expressing my feelings in English so sorry if this may seem to come off as selfish)

I CRIED WATCHING GOSE TODAY. Like the hat game, I almost peed in my pants (TMI #2)

Lastly, I am currently watching "The Gentleman" on Netflix so if you find any British words/phrases/grammar...not my problem innit? (Sorry but I feel like I am losing my precious American accent because of that show lol)

Love,
