Violin
Xinyi's fingers ghosted over the leather case that held her most prized possession. Her violin.
Xinyi finally unlatched the case and carefully took out the instrument. She gingerly held it, like it could explode in a second.
The name of a song appeared in her head that she learned merely a year ago. She escaped from the chaos that was the dorm and learned Roundtable Rival.
Her head peeked out the of the room she was occupying to make sure the boys were nowhere in sight. Xinyi didn't like to play in front of people, it made she feel really self conscious. She couldn't dance and play the violin like Lindsey could, simply because she couldn't keep her focus on the instrument if she tried dancing. Her dancing style didn't exact fit with the violin style.
Xinyi put the violin in the crook of her neck and gently grabbed the bow.
The first notes of the song leapt into the air, Xinyi's lips twitching up immediately into a smile. She loved to play the violin. Her foot became tapping to the beat as the song picked up in speed. She closed her eyes in concentration starting to transition to the fast and high parts of the song.
She never noticed her Chinese child peaking in through the door and started recording. Still with her eyes closed in concentration she started dancing to the beat, seemingly aware of everything present in the room. The dancing wasn't really fast but, it was still clean.
When the song finally finished, Xinyi slowly fluttered her eyes open. And spotted Minghao just gaping at her.
"Minghao." Her cheeks flared with a light blush. "Did you see that?" The boy wordlessly nodded. Xinyi stiffened. "Oh... uhhh."
"Play it again!" He said cheerfully. Xinyi blinked once before hesitantly starting to play the song again.
Minghao started dancing in the small room and Xinyi's lips twitched into a smile. Minghao may have found her secret, but seeing the smile on his face it was worth it.
