#164 "Romance" (one shot story)
The author opened her laptop and starts writing a creepy story about a psychopath living on the female lead next door.
Her story goes like this:
Not all romance stories are good, especially when it is too much.
(Y/n) is a normal girl who only experiences life and death situation when paying her tuition fees. Turning 18, she decided to lives on her own while reviewing for her upcoming college entrance exam. Fortunately, she got a cozy small apartment near her review center.
Eat, study, sleep; her usual days were these. However, the treadmill of her life paused and suddenly goes to the opposite direction after meeting a guy from next door- Dino.
"(Y/n)! Hey, it's been a long time."
Looking back, she saw a very familiar man approaching behind. He stood straight with a blissful smile on his lips. Memories she had with him weren't good that she couldn't hide her stern reactions. If only her apartment room is near, she would dash right in.
"O-Oh D-Dino. H-Hi." She greeted him as she folded her trembling cold hands.
Although Dino grew up to be this handsome - thick brows, charismatic small eyes, tiny face and great build; she can't find him attractive. How could she? When their last meeting traumatized her from time to time.
"You look so cute right now," he chuckled, showing the kindest expression as if killing ants would be impossible. "After your family moved out, we have lost in contact. Did you change your phone number? You don't have social media accounts too."
What are her reasons for hiding?
"I just don't like socializing that m-much," she stuttered this with pounding chest. She looked from side to side, hoping someone passes them.
But no one, except them, is present.
"You don't like socializing?" Dino's smile gradually faded. (Y/n) glanced back and in a few seconds, that pirate grin of his is on her face. He then followed it with remarks that shudder her muscles. "Or you are just escaping from me?"
Years ago, (Y/n) told her family about a boy who keeps on following her. He was a great friend at first but later on, he gave her a stalker vibes around him. He checked her phone without her consent, looking at her bags and even taking a picture in secret.
One day, Dino confessed his feelings though it was very obvious and it creep her out. Of course she rejected him in. But Dino didn't bend down. He forced her to date him by barging inside her room and her family didn't have other choice but to report him to the police.
Do you know what Dino have said before they parted?
"You can't leave me alone! I love you (y/n)! I love you so much! If you can't be mine, then no one could! No one!"
How traumatic his words were that she always had nightmare about it!
When (Y/n) found out that Dino is actually living next door of her apartment, she called her family and noticed that she will find another place to live in. But the next morning, Dino move out.
That's when she thought that maybe, Dino already changed. He doesn't want her to feel uncomfortable so he left.
Is that really the truth?
Is it okay to stay low?
To be continued...
The author sighed and leaned on her chair. Diverting her eyes back to the screen, she clicked the mouse and published her story on her Wattpad app.
Night is deep and the silence carry off the space inside her cold dark room.
She was used to be alone, to sit in a dim light and on front of her laptop.
Writing for her compose of three sounds; typing sounds from the keyboard, her breaths and the creaking of her chair.
Yet, why is she hearing steps coming from behind?
Why is there a faint breaths mingled with her?
Why does she feels goosebumps all over her body?
And why does her cold sweats running down on her skin?
Those questions was answered by a mere voice.
"I told you (Y/n). If I can't have you, then no one could. No one."
The author whose name is (Y/n), looked back. She saw the villain she was writing a moment ago - scenarios which based in her real life.
"D-Dino," she uttered.
If only she could write more, if only she can add few more words on her story, maybe she will write it like this:
"Romantic stories are not always good, especially when it is too much. Why? Because too much love can KILL."
THE End
