#138 "I don't like you anymore" (part3)
Inside the cafeteria, Jun is like a flower at the center and bees are buzzing around. Students are whispering and laughing at each other as if there’s something to feast than their foods.
‘Is there a new celebrity scandal?’ Junhui guessed while eating his foods.
“We have a problem.” A girl sat across him. He lifted his eyes towards you. “Why are you here? I believe I don’t have any business with you,” he said after putting his spoon down. Just seeing you loosed his appetite that he couldn’t gulp the food he is chewing.
Traveling your eyes left to right, you leaned closer. “We have talked inside the radio studio right?” You proceed with a sigh. “The microphone inside the studio was on air.”
Jun almost spit out his foods. He coughed hysterically as he searched for his water. “T-Then could it be…” he asked and continued his question using his eyes.
You nodded. Now he realized why students are laughing. Their whispers became so clear, like he can hear it from headphones.
“I wonder who’s that guy.” “He said his armpit is as clean as his future, lmao.” “Tha man’s voice is familiar.” “They were arguing about underarm’s odor.” “Who might it be?”
Junhui raised his hands to cover each sides of his face. ‘This is too embarrassing!’ he shouted inside his mind.
“It is really fortunate that we didn’t drop our names during our conversation,” you reassured.
It’s true that for now, they didn’t know who’s voices are those behind the speakers but…
“There was a student inside the bus!” he shouted in very low voice.
If there was a student who witnessed everything happened inside the bus, then that student probably knows their identities!
“Hello~” A guy sat beside Jun and put the tray of his food at the side of his tray. They looked at this cute man who is grinning ear to ear. “Pffft hahahahahahahahahah!” Hoshi burst in laughing. “I’m sorry, I can’t…Wahahahahahahahahahaha!”
You are jumbled why he is laughing like that. On the other side, Junhui finally grasped why.
He brought the aloe vera gel for Hoshi so of course, he knows that they are those crazy peeps who talked inside the radio studio.
“You two are so funny,” he commented while laughing.
“Does he knows ?” you mouthed to Jun.
As his answer, Jun massaged his temple. “Shut up, will you?” He showed his fist to Hoshi.
Hoshi tried to stop but giggle escape from his soft pinkish lips time to time.
“If that student starts to spread our names out, I’m doomed,” Junhui marked. “Hey, this is your fault.” He pointed his index finger to you. “You should talk to that student and tell him everything.”
“But I couldn’t remember him. I actually didn’t know there’s a student inside the bus,” you said.
The moment you used an excuse, a familiar guy sat at the good distance. When he caught Junhui’s eyes, it feels like an answer came just right in time. Junhui used Hoshi as shield to hid his face.
“Why why why?” Hoshi chuckled by his friend’s weird but cute reactions.
“Crap. I saw that student who heard us inside the bus,” he panicked.
Hoshi and you looked around. “Who?” you asked.
Junhui took a peek and pointed him using his lips. You followed his direction towards that guy. He is wearing checkered violet polo sleeves. His hair is as black as charcoal. His eyes are somehow has resemblance of a nine tailed fox. His aura is as cold as winter in north pole.
“Isn’t that guy famous?” Hoshi noticed.
“He is?” Jun asked.
“You don’t care about people around you so you won’t know,” Hoshi smashed his head using his spoon.
“Ahh!” Jun winced.
“I don’t know such an awesome guy exists in our school,” you commented as you couldn’t take off your eyes from him.
Junhui was your only crush for three years. During those time, he was the only one you could see, no matter how many handsome guys appeared in your life.
“What is his name?” You asked Hoshi with blushing cheeks.
“Jeon Wonwoo,” Hoshi, a cupid-like person, answered. “He is famous among girls. But just like this idiot friend of mine, he isn’t a friendly type.”
“Really? He looks so cool. I think I fell in love.”
“Wait a minute,” Junhui who became invisible for a moment butted in. “You said that I was your crush for three years.” He pointed himself.
“Ohhhh, I didn’t know about this side story,” Hoshi murmured and continued listening in excitement.
“You really were,” You agreed with a nod. “But I ended my crush yesterday.”
“That’s when you thought that I smell bad.”
“I know. It was my mistake. But that doesn’t mean you’ll be my crush again. Once I ended a one sided crush, I can’t bring it back. Besides, I already confessed. There’s no excitement anymore.”
‘I couldn’t really understand how her brain works,’ Junhui complained inside his head.
“I thought you didn’t care whether I like you or not?” you added.
He doesn’t really care. But you replaced him in a speed of light. Worst, you choose another guy in front of his face. It was like stepping on his pride.
“Ahhh whatever,” he murmured. “You… need to talk to him. Understand?” Then he stood up and walked out.
“Ahh that coward. Leaving you alone. He’s really a jerk, isn’t he?” Hoshi said to you. You wanted to agree but because you feel apologetic, you just smiled awkwardly. “Anyway, that guy almost finish his meal,” Hoshi pointed Wonwoo. “Aren’t you going to talk to him?”
“I really want to. But I’m scared.” You bite your nails.
“You can do it. I’ll cheer for you. Fighting!” Hoshi smiled sweetly. He was too cute that it calmed your trembling heart.
Right. If you won’t talk to him, things could be more chaotic. So you stood up and dragged your feet closer to him. But two meters away, another girl reached him out, halting your pace.
“Ahmm, hi Wonwoo,” the cute girl greeted as she tucks her hair behind her ears. Wonwoo looked up, though in his eyes, you could notice that he isn’t interested at all. “There’s something I wanted to say to you. Do you have some time?”
As an answer, Wonwoo pointed his meal.
“Ahhh y-yeah,” the girl stuttered. “You are eating right now. I am so s-sorry. Then, after class, can we talk after class?”
“If you are going to confess, then don’t. I won’t waste my time over this bullsh*t.”
He rejected her without blinking his eyes!
This is enough for you to tremble at his presence. How could a cold guy like him really exists?
“Get lost,” He shooed her away and continued his meal.
The cute girl who is on the verge of her tears, ran away. Is there’s a possibility that you’ll have the same fate as her? Well, it’s not like you’re going to confess.
You looked back at Hoshi to gain strength. “Fighting!” he cheered at the back. Hands are icy cold, it is your turn to face him.
“Ahmmm,” you called in quivering voice. The instant he saw you, Wonwoo suddenly laughed. “Pfftttttttt!”
“Oho. This is the first time I saw him laugh,” Hoshi commented. He is this kind of a person: enjoying to watch other people’s story at the side.
When Wonwoo laughs, the wall in between seems to breaks down. “I’m sorry,” Wonwoo forged a cough. “Ahmm yes? What do you want?” the way he responded to your approach is different than before. His baritone voice that is as deep as the sea is so soft.
“I k-know you’re a busy person,” you mumbled. “I am sorry for disturbing your meal. Ahmmm, there’s something I wanted to talk with you. But it isn’t a confession. Believe me.” You even raised your right hand as a pledge.
Wonwoo drinks his water before answering. “Ah yeah. What’s your name?” His eyes traced your I.D. “(y/n). You’re from management department. I am from engineering department. My department is close to yours. Let’s meet outside your department room. 3pm.” He stood up with his bag and walked away.
What was that?
You went back to Hoshi while being so puzzled.
“What happened?” Hoshi asked.
You slowly met his gaze. “He said we’ll meet at 3pm. Outside my department.”
“Woah. That’s great. High five?” Hoshi offered his hand. You two aren’t close but he really can make you comfortable.
“Hehe, yeah.” You did a high five with him.
What kind of person Wonwoo is? It’s quite hard to understand. He seems bad but generous at the same time. He sounds unsympathetic but sweet. You’ve been thinking about this until the afternoon class ended.
There is one person you expected to see as soon as you walked out from your room. But instead of Wonwoo, you saw Junhui leaning on the white painted wall. From head to toe, he is dazzling. It’s only a wall he is leaning at but he looks like a model in a magazine.
When his eyes turned to you, it feels like a lightning struck on your heart. You already said that he isn’t your crush anymore. However… he is too gorgeous to ignore.
“Hey,” he raised his hand while his other hand is in his pocket. He walked toward and stood in front. The wind from the students passing by blew and shook your hair. “It is true? Hoshi said that you’ll talk to him after class,” he asked while fixing his bangs.
10 seconds had passed after he dropped his question. “Ahmm yeah,” you finally answered.
“Okay. Do a good job,” he threatened while showing his fists.
He was your three years crush so you know this savage side of him. But experiencing it is a different thing. It’s pushing you to hate him more.
“He is coming,” Junhui stated when he saw Wonwoo coming towards. He then ran and hid somewhere.
“Psst,” Wonwoo called you in a very informal manner.
“Ahmmm hello,” you bowed at him. Facing the ground, you glanced at Junhui who is hiding behind a banner.
“Do it,” Junhui mouthed.
You rolled your eyes as you stand straight.
“You said you’ll say something to me,” Wonwoo inquired.
“Y-Yeah. Actually, ahmmm…” You scratched your nape. “You were the student at the bus, r-right?”
Wonwoo leaned closer, “and you are the one inside the radio studio, right?”
Your eyes widened. He said it without a changing his poker face expression.
“Ahuh. It’s me.” You bit your lower lip. Face as pale as snow, you continued, “The thing that happened inside the bus was a misunderstanding. And about the radio studio, it was an accident. I am here to ask you if you could keep this as a secret. You know, doing good will.”
“Why should I?”
“Huh?”
“I didn’t have the intention to expose it. It wasn’t my business.”
“Really?” You sighed in relief.
“But begging me for this, I think it is a big deal for the two of you,” he smirked. “ Should I spread it? It could be fun.” He teased.
Clasping your two hands, you gave him a pitiful look from your eyes. “Can you please don’t? Someone will kill me if you do.”
“Who? That guy who looks like an eagle?”
“Eagle?” Junhui murmured at the side. “I am an eagle?” he pointed himself.
“Oh? Now you that you said it, he really looks like an eagle,” you agree while holding your chin.
Junhui glared at the two of you.
“Anyway, please do me a favor? Hmmm?” you keep on begging.
This time, Wonwoo nodded. He shrugged his right shoulder to lift his bag. “Okay. Let’s go?”
“Huh? To where?”
“I did you a favor. Pay me back.” Wonwoo holds your wrist, and pulled you.
“Where are they going?” Junhui asked.
“This is getting more interesting,” a man commented on his side.
“Waaaaaah!” Junhui shouted in surprised. “Hey! I almost had a heart attack!” he holds his chest.
“From my point of view, there’s a love that will soon to bloom between that girl and that guy,” Hoshi said.
“What are you saying?” Junhui frowned.
“Aren’t you jealous? He took your girl,” Hoshi teased.
“Eh? Let me clear this: it was her who had a feelings for me. What bullsh*t are you talking about?”
Hoshi sticks out his tongue. “Blehhhh.” The walked out while hopping.
Junhui is sure; that he feels mad not because he is jealous but because you messed with his pride. It is indeed the fact. You embarrassed him in the crowd. You threw a 3 years crush just because of an aloe vera and now you are head over heels with another guy.
Love starts when a person couldn’t stop thinking about someone.
You maybe entered his head in a bad way.
But… doesn’t novel starts when the leading man and woman hates each other?
In this moment, another page will begin.
