Under the Blue Moon

The night of the Blue Moon had finally arrived. The entire kingdom of Neodaris was abuzz with excitement, from scientists to commoners, as they awaited the once-in-a-millennium event. The Blue Moon was not only a rare celestial occurrence but also one filled with deep significance, especially for the Seven.

The grand hall, where Phoenix Mink's crowning ceremony would take place, was vast enough to hold the entire population of Neodaris. The people gathered, faces lit with anticipation, as they waited for the ceremony to begin. The air was thick with excitement, and a strange, almost mystical energy seemed to swirl around the hall.

As if the Fates themselves were getting ready for this Blue Moon....

Something that wasn't visible to the eye but something significant nevertheless.....

Among the guests was Aurora, a mysterious young woman known for her paintings and charitable deeds. She was a commoner, yet her presence here was a mystery even to her. She had never imagined she’d be invited to such an event, let alone feel such a strong pull to be here.

As if the whole Cosmos was inviting her to here...

As if she was here not just for being a guest but to be a part of this.....

As the ceremony began, the Seven stood together, their eyes occasionally flickering towards the sky. Mira, clutching the ancient book she had been deciphering, felt a strange unease. She had uncovered riddles—puzzles that she thought would lead the Seven to discover something deeper about their past.

Mira's ancient riddle book

Opal, ever the jokester, couldn’t resist lightening the tension. “Do you think the Blue Moon’s going to spill all our ancient secrets, or is it just here to give us a glow-up?”

Mira rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. “Maybe both,” she replied, her voice betraying the nervousness she felt inside.

Meilin stood quietly, her usual uncertainty mixed with a strong, unexplainable connection to the Blue Moon. It was as if something inside her was guiding her, reassuring her that everything was exactly as it should be, even if she didn’t fully understand it.

As the ceremony continued, Phoenix stepped forward, his regal demeanor slightly at odds with the thoughts swirling in his mind. He felt the weight of the crown that would soon be placed on his head, but also the strange pull towards something—or someone—unknown.

Covet and Akira stood on either side of him, their expressions serious, yet their reactions clashed subtly. Covet’s gaze was sharp, ever vigilant, while Akira’s was more introspective, as if trying to piece together a puzzle that only he could see.

Reina, ever playful, leaned towards Meilin and whispered, “So, do you think Phoenix is nervous, or is that just his ‘I’m about to be crowned’ face?”

Meilin chuckled softly, but her eyes never left the Blue Moon, which seemed to shine down on them with a purpose. “I don’t know,” she said, her voice barely audible. “But there’s something about tonight… I just feel like everything is going to change.”

As the ceremony reached its climax, the crown was placed on Phoenix’s head, and the hall erupted in applause. But just as the crown touched his brow, something extraordinary happened. The missing eighth star of the Krittikas constellation, which had been absent for centuries, suddenly blazed to life in the night sky.

The crowd gasped, their attention drawn upwards as the star shone brightly, standing out even against the glow of the Blue Moon.

Phoenix felt a jolt in his chest, as if the star was speaking directly to him. His hand instinctively reached for the crown, but his eyes remained locked on the sky.

As if the star was saying that it has kept its promise and returned back to Him....

“What… What is that?” Akira muttered, his usual calm shaken by the unexpected sight.

Covet’s eyes narrowed, scanning the sky as if trying to make sense of it. “That’s… impossible. That star hasn’t been there for ages.”

Opal, ever the one to break the tension, let out a low whistle. “Looks like someone forgot to switch off the ‘no stars allowed’ sign.”

Mira’s heart pounded as she gazed up at the star, her mind racing with possibilities. “Could it be… the missing star? The one from the riddles?”

Meilin felt a surge of emotion she couldn’t quite name. It was as if the star was connected to her very soul. “I knew it,” she whispered, more to herself than anyone else. “I just knew something would happen tonight.”

Reina, her playful nature momentarily subdued, reached out to touch Meilin’s arm. “This has to mean something, right? Something big?”

The star’s sudden appearance filled the Seven with a mix of awe and apprehension. It was as if they were standing on the brink of discovering something long hidden, something that could change everything.

As the ceremony concluded and the crowd began to disperse, the Seven lingered, their eyes still fixed on the sky. But just as they began to come to terms with the star’s reappearance, something even stranger happened. As Aurora quietly left the gathering and made her way home, the star began to fade.

Phoenix was the first to notice, his gaze darkening as the star’s light dimmed. “It’s… disappearing,” he said, his voice barely audible.

Covet’s eyes widened in disbelief. “What? How can that be?”

Akira clenched his fists, frustration bubbling up inside him. “We just saw it. How can it vanish like that?”

Reina bit her lip, a mix of confusion and concern etched on her face. “Does this mean… it was never really there?”

Opal, for once, didn’t have a joke ready. His usual humor was replaced by a sense of loss, as if something precious had slipped through his fingers.

Back at her modest home, Aurora looked up at the night sky, searching for the star she had seen earlier. But it was gone, leaving only the familiar constellations and the glow of the Blue Moon.

A strange sadness settled in her heart as she whispered to herself, “Where did it go? Was it just a dream?”

Unknowingly, tears rolled down her cheeks as if she had broken a promise that shouldn't have  been broken....

As if she had hurt someone very dear to her.....

The Seven felt it—the lingering presence of the eighth star, a sense that it was still out there, somewhere, waiting to be found. The urge to see all eight stars shining together under the Blue Moon was stronger than ever, a mystery that pulled them closer together, even as it seemed to drift further from their grasp.

The night ended with more questions than answers, but one thing was clear: the Blue Moon had marked the beginning of something far greater than any of them could have imagined.
