Time to step up to the plate. Pathetic. You're Pathetic! "boys, not today." Yes today! Argo. Kindly shut the fuck up. Oh? Even big bro Sans is ganging up on me? "enough! i need to focus!" I growled as the others went silent. Between Drift and I, we appeared to like Sans' style the most. I always kept the zipper undone like Sans and slipped on Genesis' boots. Aside from the lab, they were also great in combat situations. 'We won't be doing any of that.. will we?' "never know. always good to be prepared for the worst." 'Good point.' I headed down the stairs, noticing that Frisk, Alphys, and Undyne was here. "did paps have a hang out scheduled or something?"
"Anime marathon. You in?" Undyne asked. "tempting, but i'll pass. i've got work."
"W-work? I tho-thought Genesis was the workaholic?" Alphys tilted her head. 'True, but still rude.' "genesis, shut up. al, i'm the judge. it's a 24/7 job. i'll be back after my rounds."
"THEN THAT MAKES YOU JUDGE, SANS' JUSTICE." Paps said from the kitchen door. "at your service." I gave a bow. 'That was.. formal.' I'm a formal man, Sans. 'Still a little weird.' "if that'll be all, i'm off. the streets won't protect themselves you know." I did a quick check on everyone as I said that. Stats good. Health good. "CAN WE COME WITH?! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU JUDGE!"
"YEAH! TAKE US WITH!"
"I-I mean.. I guess.. w-will it be dangerous?"
"i don't see why not. there typically is not much danger on patrols, but if there is, i'll make sure no harm come to you.. to any of you. you have my word."
"I THOUGHT YOU DIDN'T LIKE PROMISES?"
"we don't like promises that we can't keep. i can keep this one." I assured.

Started in Snowdin, for obvious reasons. I checked the residents, made sure they were all healthy and overall ok. I knew I really didn't have to, but I helped out where I could too. "What're you doing?" Undyne asked, obviously expecting more action. "what's it look like i'm doing? i'm helping put this star on this christmas tree."
"Well yeah.. but why?"
"being a good citizen is all. there's more to my job than.. well.. you know. i like to help around when i can."
"THAT'S SO NICE OF YOU, JUDGE!"
"sans in public please."
"RIGHT! I'M SORRY.."
"it's fine. just reminding you." I finished up with the star. "let's go." Soon enough we were at the Ruins doors. All had checked out. Seemed that Frisk was doing a pacifist route. Not neutral. Still, it was always good to double check. I knocked on the doors. "Goat mom?" They asked. "tori and i are good friends. like to check up on her." Right on time she answered. "Who's there?"
"dishes."
"Dishes who?"
"dishes a bad joke." She snorted into laughter while Paps groaned. "JUDGE WHY?!"
"Oh? You have others with you, my friend?"
"Hi goat mom!" Frisk called. "Oh! My child! How is it out there?"
"Sans- Judge is keeping me safe. He's keeping everyone safe."
"Judge..? Oh right! I'd nearly forgotten. I'm sorry."
"it's alright tori. should probably get going though. nice talking to you."
"And you as well."

Next up was Waterfall. No doubt this is where any action would be. MK was a clumsy kid and I'd saved him from drowning more than once. I was once more checking everyone. There was one pretty shady character who looked like MK, but was a deathly grey color. There was nothing right about them and it made my skull buzz with static. 'Goner kid..' MG.. "a friend, i'm assuming." Once upon a time ago.. "i apologize lollie, i did not intend to bring up bad memories." We all reluctantly kept moving after seeing them and eventually I did find the real MK. "Yo! Hey Sa- AHH!"
"not again!" I kicked my boots off, diving in after the armless monster before Undyne could even react. I'm sure they were all still thrown off by Goner. Soon enough I had him back on the shore, coughing. "Thanks Sans.."
"you really need to stop doing that."
"No promises!" He ran off, tripping on his tail as he did, and nearly fell in again. That brat will be the death of us. Luckily he didn't and disappeared into the lush grass. "He.. does that often?"
"if you mean i save him at least once every couple of weeks, then yes." I grabbed my boots and kept walking.

Hotland was next, with nothing to exciting going on. When we got to the CORE.. that was another story all together. Every stop it seemed had a lost one. Haru, Sigmi, Jack.. "jack.. he was your first babysitter.. right? the one you were closest to?" Uh-huh.. he was so soft and a little skittish, but he was great! Now he doesn't even have a face.. "J-Judge.. w-what ARE th-they.." Alphys asked. I noted that the group had hudled together. "lost ones.. anomalies.. they were once monsters that no longer exist. they'd once been scientists working under the doc.. all but goner kid who was haru's child." Sans explained for me. "it means gaster will be appearing soon. our window for the machine just got smaller. let's finish this."

New Home took the longest. It had the most people to check up on. Finally we were at the castle and the only person I needed to check on was the king himself. As soon as I entered the throne room, I slipped into my best bow. "i've come to check up on you, my king."
"Holy shit, I don't even know what to think about this."
"I've never seen you so formal, Judge."
"I-its interesting.. s-seeing how he reacts t-to others. S-same goes for the other personalities."
"IT'S ODD. MIND BOGGLING EVEN."
"Sans-" He paused a moment. "I apologize. I cannot seem to remember your name mr.."
"judge. simply call me judge."
"Well you don't need to be so formal, Judge. We're friends."
"i wanted to. it seems your well so.. what do you all want to do next?"
