        THERE ARE NO SAINTS AT SEA. Pray, cry, beg for a miracle that will never come to pass. Land and ocean are two separate worlds, and while Saints may answer to the faithful on land, the deep waters are a whole different story. There, you are at the mercy of the waves, of the winds, of the storms and beasts that lurk underneath.

        There are no Saints at sea. At least, not the type that look down benevolently within church walls.

        Believe it or not, Marya is a devoted follower of the faith. As she traveled with her family within the confines of their caravans, sleeping underneath the stars, the Saints were always a welcome presence during particularly long days. And even when money was short, they always made space for small trinkets of remembrance. A linen rose for Sankta Lizabeta. A golden string anklet for Sankt Ilya. A rusted iron dagger for Sankt Juris.

        Nowadays, far off into the True Sea, the Repentance is said to be a myth; as unreal as the stories within the Istorii Sankt'ya. And yet, rumors seem to spread like wildfire over the coasts. Whispers of a crew of blessed ones; Saints that rescue those taken from their lands. Saints that punish those who enslave those unable to defend themselves. Saints that grant safe passage to those lost at sea.

For the legendary Captain Marya, life at sea is a gift. A gift she was given and intends to make the most out of. For Marya, home is not a country. Home is her crew. Home is the deck of the Repentance. Home is singing songs at the top of her lungs with her deckhands and friends.

Until everything goes to hell.

        And now... now the balance has been overturned. A change in the tides, a shift in the winds. Marya's chest is hollow with a wound that never stops bleeding. Because someone close to her heart has been taken— no, not taken, stolen. And Saints be damned, she is ready to tear the world in half to find him.

Even if it means going up against a certain clever-fox Privateer.
