SDS2 38: NO MORE MOURNERS

"YOU'RE DEAD. YOU'RE ALL dead!" Sunggyu shouted as he looked straight at Junhyung's eyes. Junhyung was struggling to get away from the Demon, but Sunggyu's grip was too strong. Sunggyu then starts using his demonic power called Memory Manipulation on the Arcs leader.

The angel was continuously trying to struggle, but his vision slowly became blurry, then everything around him turned black. Seconds later blood started coming out from his nose and ears. Then his body started shaking.

"Junhyung! Please, Sunggyu! Please stop it!" Seunghyun shouted as he quickly ran to his brother. The rest of the Arcs ran towards him as well, but Jackson quickly stood up and threw a powerful force towards the Arcs, making them all be thrown back.

"Sunggyu stop!" Finally, it was Kharon who did it. He quickly went to Sunggyu and covered his eyes, making Sunggyu stop the manipulation.

Finally, Sunggyu lets go of Junhyung who fell on the ground and quickly started catching his breath.

"I-I'm sorry...we had no...o-other...c-choice." Junhyung tried to say, still panting heavily because of what Sunggyu just did to him.

Sunggyu quickly pushed their guardian away from him and looked back at Junhyung angrily.

"No other choice?! Our brother is fucking dead! We were the ones who had no other choice because of you!" Sunggyu shouted even louder, then the place started to crumble. Sunggyu and the rest of the Demons were emitting so much power that the whole place couldn't even take it.

"We need to get Junhyung. We need to get out of here," Seunghyun quickly stated as he noticed the rocks falling from the ceiling. He then looked at his brothers and said, "Carry Woohyun out of here, I'll take Junhyung."

"But Seunhyung..." Mark tried to say.

"No more buts. If you don't move we'll be stuck here, now go!" Seunghyun shouted, and without wasting any second, the Arcs ran away where they saw a portal suddenly forming on the wall.

"That's our way out! Hurry!" Jihoon shouted as he pointed at the portal that was being cast by Park Dong Min on the other side.

"I'll fucking kill you Yong Junhyung! I'll fucking kill you!" Sunggyu shouted as he quickly summoned his weapon. He was about to attack Junhyung again, but Kharon pushed him away for the second time.

"I said stop!" Kharon shouted. When Sunggyu looked at him, he realized that there were trails of blood on Kharon's cheeks as well. Their guardian was crying. Kharon knew about the occurrence, but like the Arcs, he didn't know who it was going to be. He even thought that maybe something would change and no one from the Demons would die. So when Jiyong's life was literally taken right before their eyes, he just lost it.

"This is not the time to fight. All of you will die if you stay here longer...you need to go, now!" Kharon quickly shouted as he saw hundreds of ghouls approaching them again.

"Hyung..." Sunggyu sadly called out to his guardian as tears continued to fall from his eyes. Kharon wanted to push Sunggyu away, but he just couldn't take it. He quickly grabbed his prince and hugged him tightly.

"It hurts, I know, so please calm down my prince. Jiyong's death will be all for nothing if you don't leave here immediately." Kharon stated as he gently pushed Sunggyu away. "I'll hold the ghouls off as much as I can, you take Jiyong and bring him out of here," Kharon instructed.

Sunggyu was hesitant, but he nodded and did what they were told.

"Carry Jiyong. Let's go!" Sunggyu quickly commanded.

Jackson takes Jiyong's body and carries him. Then the rest of the Demons ran off. Seunghyun finally arrived at where his brother was. He quickly grabbed Junhyung's arm and placed it around his shoulder to support their leader.

"C-Come on...let's go." Seunghyun stated as he and Junhyung were slowly escaping.

"Just leave me...you c-can't run away if you c-continue to carry me like this." Junhyung struggled to say, still panting since what Sunggyu did to him almost killed him.

"This isn't the time to act like a hero goddamn it!" Seunghyun shouted as he continued to drag Junhyung's weak body towards the portal.

     "Arcs!" Kharon suddenly shouted.

Seunghyun quickly turned around and saw Kharon bowing in front of them.

"Thank you." The guardian says before transforming into a deadly phoenix and flying towards the hoard of ghouls who were meters away from them.

"S-Shit...hang in there Junhyung, we're getting closer!" Seunghyun shouted as he sees the portal. But the portal was slowly getting smaller. Dongmin was losing his strength. Junhyung and Seunghyun had to hurry it up.

"What's taking them so long!?" Lay shouted, now at the mountaintop with the rest of the Arcs and their guardian Dongmin.

"I-I...can't hold much longer!" Dongmin shouted as he was trying his best to keep the portal open. He was an angel, and opening a portal of hell wasn't as easy as opening a portal of heaven. And the sudden thunder and storm weren't helping him concentrate at all.

"I'm going after them," Mark suddenly says, but Jihoon quickly grabbed his arm and said, "Are you an idiot?!"

"But-" Before Mark could even finish, Seunghyun literally throws Junhyung through the portal, then Seunghyun quickly jumps in next, making him fall right on top of their guardian.

The portal closes just in time, making the ghouls who were chasing after the two, hit a solid wall instead.

The two were panting heavily, but they were glad that all of them made it out alive. But a few seconds later, the thought of the Demons quickly appeared, and everyone's head was down. Seunghyun stood up and helped Junhyung and Dongmin stand up as well. Then Dongmin looked at his kids and asked, "Who was it?"

No one answered for a couple of seconds. Then Junhyung looked at his guardian, pain visible in his eyes, "It was Kwon Jiyong," he answered.

Dongmin sighed heavily. He didn't want to admit it, but deep down he half knew that the King was going to kill the strongest amongst the seven sons.

     "And the Demons?" Dongmin asked.

Seunghyun looked at their guardian and answered, "We don't know, but I'm pretty sure they were able to escape as well. But as expected...not everyone made it out alive."

*****

The Demons exited from the same place that they entered earlier. They quickly closed the door, making the door vanish in front of them.

The sons stood there, all silent. They didn't talk nor look at each other. The only thing you could hear from the abandoned building was their heavy breathing and the thunderstorm outside.

Without saying anything, the Demons went out of the building and walked through the rain. Suddenly, a car arrived. The car door opened, revealing Kai and Tamo.

"Guys! What are you doing?! It's pouring out here!" Kai shouted while following Tamo with his umbrella. The two quickly ran towards the Demons who were covered in blood and sweat.

"How did it-" Tamo quickly stops when he sees Jiyong's lifeless body being carried by Jackson. He quickly covered his mouth from shock, "N-no..."

Kai sees it as well and quickly took a step back.

"D-don't tell me...is he...he can't be..." Kai struggled to say. So Taeil clenched his fist and looked at Kai, "He's fucking dead," he answered. The moment the two heard the news; Tamo started sobbing. Kai didn't know what to do so he just stood there, dumbfounded.

"This is the Arcs fault!" Sunggyu suddenly shouted, making everyone look at their brother.

Sunggyu looked back at them and continued, "They knew, those bastards knew but they didn't even tell us. They just waited for it to happen, and they expected that an apology could fucking make up for the life of our lost brother. Now Jiyong's fucking dead! He's fucking dead!"

Sunggyu started crying again. He slowly fell on his knees and bowed his head on the wet soil.

"I will do anything God! I know we're Demons, but please, listen to this sinner's request and give us our brother back. Please!" Sunggyu shouted as he looked at the sky. But the only thing that answered him was thunder.

"PLEASE! Give me my Jiyong back! I beg you!" Sunggyu shouted even louder. Suho chocked back the tears and ran towards his brother. He kneeled beside their leader and quickly hugged Sunggyu to calm him down.

"Sunggyu that's enough..." Suho tried to say, but Sunggyu quickly pushed Suho away and shouted, "No!" He then stood up and took Jiyong from Jackson's hold. He quickly looked at Kai & Tamo and commanded, "T-Take us to the hospital. There m-might still be a chance. They might still save him."

Tamo didn't know what to say. He just looked at Sunggyu while his tears continued to pour. They saw Jiyong's state. There was literally a hole on Jiyong's chest. No doctor could revive him; even an angel couldn't revive him.

"Sunggyu, you need to calm down..." Kai tried to say.

"No! Why aren't you listening to me!?" Sunggyu shouted when he realized Tamo & Kai wasn't even moving.

"I said bring us to the hospital!" Sunggyu shouted again.

The demons couldn't say anything, but then Hyunseung quickly went in front of Sunggyu and slapped him, finally making Sunggyu calm down. While blood tears poured out of Hyunseung's eyes, he gently holds Sunggyu's cheeks and says, "Sunggyu...there is nothing we can do now."

"N-No...there must be a way. Hyunseung...you need to help me. We can bring him to someone, I'll pay for everything, let's just...let's just..." Sunggyu tried to say, his body still trembling.

"There's nothing we could do!" This time, it was Taeil who shouted it. Taeil was in much more pain than his brothers. He lost Jiho once, and now he lost his brother who faced the same death as the man he loved. He was tired of witnessing it all over again.

"S-so please stop Sunggyu," Taeil stated softly, now crying as well.

Sunggyu slowly fell on his knees again. He gently placed Jiyong's body on the ground and started crying even more. Everyone was silent for a second, all looking at Jiyong's lifeless body.

"I can't do this anymore." Sunggyu suddenly stated as his trembling hand held onto Jiyong.

Hyunseung was about to say something but Sunggyu cuts him off, "Let's stop Hyunseung. I can't do this anymore," Sunggyu repeated, but instead of looking at Hyunseung, Sunggyu continued to look at Jiyong.

"Sunggyu...look at me," Hyunseung commanded, but Sunggyu kept his head low.

"I said look at me," this time, Hyunseung kneeled as well and held Sunggyu's chin so Sunggyu could forcefully look at him back. Sunggyu looked at Hyunseung, his eyes covered in blood because of too much crying. Then Hyunseung slowly leans his forehead on Sunggyu's and said, "I love you Sunggyu. I love each and every one of you."

Then Hyunseung took a deep breath and continued, "But you're right..."

The rest of the Demons quickly looked at Hyunseung with shock. Hyunseung kissed Sunggyu's forehead and told him, "I too...can't do this anymore..." He hugged Sunggyu for one last time before finishing, "Let's bring Jiyong back home, okay?"

BACK AT SOUTH KOREA

The Demons didn't waste any time. The seven sons went to Raven's private plane and flew right back to South Korea with Tamo and Kai. Once they arrived, they landed at the back of Jiyong's mansion that was big enough for the small plane.

"We're here," Suho stated as he stood up from his seat, and the rest did the same. Minhyuk looked out the window and saw Charles and Mrs. Kwon running towards the plane with wide smiles. The sight made Minhyuk break down.

"I-I can't...I fucking can't!" Minhyuk suddenly shouted, now trembling. Tamo went to him and held his shoulder tightly, "We'll go down first. If you like we'll tell them about..."

"No," Sunggyu quickly says as he looks at Tamo. He looked back at Jiyong's coffin and slowly approached it. With his trembling hand, he held the coffin and said, "Welcome home Jiyong."

Sunggyu tried to push back the tears as he finally goes out of the plane. Hyunseung, Taeil, and Suho right behind him.

"My boys!" Mrs. Kwon happily says as she runs towards the four to give them a warm embrace.

"We're glad to see you all safe," Charles stated as he squeezed Suho's shoulder.

     "We're sorry!" Someone suddenly shouts.

Charles and Jiyong's mother quickly looked at Sunggyu with confusion.

"Sunggyu, what's wrong?" Charles asked as Sunggyu started crying blood, shocking the two parents. Then, Sunggyu went down on his knees while sobbing, the three sons behind him quickly did the same and bowed down on their knees as well.

     "We're so sorry!" Taeil repeated.

"W-What's going on?" Mrs. Kwon asked, now trembling and teary. Charles quickly wrapped his arms around his wife, feeling nervous as well.

"Sunggyu, what's going on?" Charles asked seriously, but Sunggyu just shakes his head and continued to cry.

"Sunggyu...w-where's Jiyong?" Mrs. Kwon finally asks.

Sunggyu looked up at the two and gulped.

"Where's my son!?" she now shouts at them.

Finally, a coffin was being lowered down from the plane, Jackson, and Minhyuk holding onto it with their eyes filled with tears. Charles and Mrs. Kwon's eyes widened as they saw what was being brought to them.

"N-No...no...no," Mrs. Kwon continuously stated while shaking his head in denial. Then Jackson and Minhyuk placed the coffin on top of a stand. Jackson gulped and opened the coffin, finally showing them who it was.

Jiyong's mother quickly pushed Charles away and ran to where the coffin was. And the moment she saw the person inside, her legs weakened.

"N-No! T-that's not my son...that's not my son inside that thing...please bring him out, where is he?" Mrs. Kwon asked, trembling, and crying. Jackson and Minhyuk quickly went down on their knees as well and said in unison, "We're so sorry!"

"No! That's impossible...my son's a strong boy, he can't be...he can't be..." Charles, who was trying to push back the tears, didn't want to move from his spot. But he took a deep breath and slowly walked towards the coffin to take a peak.

Finally, he saw his son inside the coffin. The last place he wanted to see him in.  He was trying his best not to break down, but when he couldn't take it anymore, he clenched on his fist and finally let the tears fall from his eyes.

"Jiyong!" Charles now shouted as he ran towards the coffin to hold onto it. "Sorry..." he suddenly says as his tears drip on the glass.

"S-sorry...Jiyong I'm sorry...papa hasn't bought you the watch you wanted," Charles stated as he wiped his tears, then he chuckled and continued, "You haven't even called me father yet."

Mrs. Kwon finally stands beside his husband and holds onto him.

"You promised during Christmas that we'd go to France with your brothers remember? You were going to surprise them remember?" Jiyong's mother says as she slowly walked towards the coffin to hold the glass.

"Son...you can't leave me too...Jiyong you can't! Oh dear God...please don't do this to me..." She slowly slides the glass to hold Jiyong's cold body. The moment she felt his son's hand, Mrs. Kwon started crying even harder.

"Take me instead! Please!" she shouted at the top of her lungs. Charles went to his wife and hugged her tightly. He was trying to pull her away from Jiyong's body but Mrs. Kwon didn't want to let go.

"No! Let me go! Jiyong! My son! Don't do this to mama! Please!"

The sons looked at Jiyong's parents, their heart aching for them as well. And like in Japan, it started raining again. But everyone stood there and let the rain wash away the painful tears.
