SDS2 34: THEIR SELFISH SIDE
WOOHYUN WENT BACK TO the mountains where the rest of the Arcs were. The five were already resting inside their rooms after a day of extreme training, but Junhyung was still wide awake, patiently waiting for his brother to arrive. So when he saw Woohyun enter the house, Junhyung quickly stood up from the couch and said, "Where the hell did you go?"
Woohyun looked at his brother and hesitated, but he takes a deep breath and answered, "I went out for a jog."
"At this fucking hour?" Junhyung asked, obviously not believing the lie Woohyun just told him.
"You went to the Demons didn't you?" Junhyung asked, but Woohyun ignored him and answered, "Why the hell would I even want to see such species?"
Junhyung was about to say something again, but Woohyun quickly went upstairs and went inside his room before Junhyung could question him more. Woohyun quickly throws his body on the bed and looked at the ceiling.
"Kim Sunggyu...I gave you a hint...run away now while you still can." Woohyun said softly before falling asleep.

"The Demons have done it. They have already killed the Seven Sinners." Park Dong Min stated as he was eating breakfast with the rest of the Arcs. The Arcs didn't say anything, but they were obviously angry about the news.
Junhyung clenched his fist and said, "And after everything that happened to us, they still did it."
Mark kept quiet. He just didn't believe that his lover could kill a human in such a short time. But he didn't know that his lover never even harmed a single human. If only they knew.
"So what do we do now?" Jihoon asked as he looked at his guardian.
"We wait for them to execute their plan so we can get inside hell," Dongmin explained. Then Seunghyun added, "Then we stop the Demons from opening the King of Hell's door, right?"
Their guardian looked at Seunghyun and nodded.
"Who would have thought that in the end, we're still going to fight them." Sungjae stated, then suddenly, Mark stood up from his seat and said with a sad expression, "I can't do this."
"What?" the Arcs asked in unison, looking at Mark.
"You guys do the mission without me. I can't fucking do this stupid plan." Mark stated, and Junhyung looked at him angrily, "Watch your mouth Mark," Junhyung stated, looking at Mark with a serious expression.
Mark clenched his fist and looked back at Junhyung angrily as well, "Junhyung, aren't you even fazed about this fucked up mission?"
Junhyung ignored his brother's question and said instead, "Sit down so we could talk calmly."
"I asked you a fucking question!" Mark shouted instead.
"I told you to watch your mouth!" Junhyung shouted in full rage. But Mark wasn't fazed. He went closer to their leader and continued, "Aren't you fucking worried that you could kill Hyunseung through this mission? Aren't you fucking scared that you might kill the man you love?!"
"That's enough." Seunghyun tried to say, but the two ignored him.
Junhyung pulled Mark closer to him and answered, "Our father's and the rest of humanity is more important to me than those fucking Demons, do you understand me, Mark?"
Without any warning, Mark slapped his brother, shocking everyone.
"You know that's not true Junhyung...you know that," Mark said, tears already forming in his eyes. But Junhyung went closer to his brother and told him, "I know my priorities, Mark. You should do the same and forget about your lover. Your lover who's brothers tried to kill you."
"So you're bringing that up now Junhyung?" Jihoon asked as he now stood up as well.
Junhyung looked at Jihoon and chuckled, "Great, let the man who would definitely betray us for Lee Taeil do the talking."
"Why? Didn't you do the same?" Jihoon bravely asked, now walking towards Junhyung as well.
"I did that for our sake," Junhyung stated.
"You know, that's always your problem Junhyung. I'll choose Taeil whatever happens because I don't pretend, not like you who would fake everything just so he could look good in the eyes of God." Jihoon said with a smirk, and this made Junhyung grab Jihoon's collar aggressively.
"I would punch you right now if I wanted to," Junhyung stated with venom in his voice. But Jihoon just kept his face straight and said back, "Then do it. I've stopped seeing you as our leader anyway."
"Is that the reason why you're not listening to me anymore? Why you're sneaking out at night just to talk to Taeil? You'll lie to everyone just so you could hear your lover's own fucking lies?!"
Jihoon laughed this time, and then he looked straight at Junhyung and said, "Lies you say? Then hear this."
Junhyung was about to say something, but Jihoon quickly started talking.
"Taeil told me Hyunseung's been crying every night, praying that one day you would understand everything that they've been doing. Jang Hyunseung...did all his mission, and apologized to you every time he did it. Whenever he was hurt he would call out your name first. Whenever he felt sad he thought of you first. He's doing his best so he could stay alive long enough to tell you everything. How's that for a lie Junhyung?"
Junhyung held onto Jihoon's collar tighter, but suddenly, a tear falls from his eye. He finally lets go of Jihoon and said, "Then what the fuck do you want me to do? Huh, Jihoon? I want to save them, and I would kneel in front of all the saints if I have to, but you know the outcome. You know what would happen to them, to us, and to everyone else. Just let me be selfish. Throw all your hate and all your pain at me and I'll accept all of it with no question. But our plan will not be ignored, and you will all follow as instructed."
Finally, Junhyung leaves the dining room, leaving the Arcs dumbfounded.
"All of you sit down," Dongmin instructed calmly as he took a sip of his cup of coffee.
"What are you doing to us Park Dong Min? Why are you torturing us like this?" Mark asked as he tried not to cry in front of their guardian.
"Sit down," Dongmin said instead, but Mark didn't listen as he looked at his guardian one last time, "Please...there must be another way. Please don't let us do this."
Finally, Dongmin looked at Mark and answered, "It's either one or all, and your leader chose the first option that will benefit not only us but also the demons. We might not know who it would be, but we know it will happen, and we can't do anything about it. If you want to save the rest of them I suggest you listen to your selfish leader. Now sit down."
Mark didn't listen but ran off instead. For the others, they obliged and did what they were told.
"Follow your brother." Their guardian instructed without looking at Jihoon. Jihoon, who was already standing, nodded and did what he was told. He went outside and found Mark running away. Jihoon quickly chased after him and grabbed his hand, "Where the hell are you going?!"
"I'm going to Jackson...I'll tell him everything. Come with me Jihoon. Let's tell the Demons." Mark stated, now crying.
Jihoon took a deep breath and said, "Mark, you know we can't do that."
"We need to try!" he shouted, pushing Jihoon's hand away from him. But Jihoon quickly grabbed his arm again, "Stop this Mark. You know if we do this everything can be damaged."
"But Jihoon, you've been talking to Taeil right? You must have secretly told him-"
"I haven't Mark, and it pains me every time I do. I know such a thing and I can't even tell him because I know better Mark, and I know nothing would come out of it if we tell them." Jihoon tried to explain.
Finally, Mark calmed down. He went down on his knees and started sobbing.
"Jihoon...I can't do this anymore...I just can't."
Jihoon goes down on one knee and comforted his brother.
"The best we could do now is trust our guardian and our Fathers. Kharon even went to us and made sure we know the outcome. He told us instead of the Demons, don't you realize that?" Jihoon stated as Mark looked at him, "Of course I know. It just pains me to know everything, while the Demons have no idea about anything."

"Junhyung, open the door," Seunghyun demanded as he was aggressively knocking on Junhyung's door.
Junhyung finally opened the door and looked at his brother, "What?"
"What the hell was that about downstairs?" Seunghyun asked as he entered the room. Junhyung slammed the door shut and looked at his brother, "I knew it. You're here to scold me."
Seunghyun sighed and stated, "I'm not here to scold you and you know that."
Junhyung looked at his brother seriously and said, "Am I doing something wrong here Seunghyun? Tell me honestly. Did I choose the right thing?"
Seunghyun quickly nodded his head with no hesitation, "Yes, you chose the best decision. Our brothers might not realize it yet but when the time comes they'll know your reasons."
"Like the Demons?" Junhyung asked.
"The Demons have their reasons, and they're also following orders like us," Seunghyun explained.
Junhyung frustratingly messed up his hair and said, "Why can't they just all tell us everything and get this over with? We're playing mind games with our Fathers when in reality they already know everything. Why can't they just tell us?"
"If they tell us, everything will change. You should know better than anyone Junhyung," Seunghyun stated, and Junhyung just sighed because he knew that his brother was right about that.
"Do you know what Woohyun did last night?" Seunghyun asked him next.
Junhyung shrugged his shoulder, "I don't know exactly but he obviously went to the Demons. He could have talked to them in some way."
"He probably talked to Sunggyu since Sunggyu's the leader," Seunhyung added.
Junhyung chuckled just by the thought of it, "If he did then he's an idiot. Sunggyu might be fazed by it, but I'm pretty sure he'll throw the thought away after a few hours."
"Sunggyu is very stubborn," Seunghyun honestly said, and both angels chuckled.
"That's why he's the leader. He believes in the things that would be best for his brothers, and I'm pretty sure what Woohyun would have told him wouldn't bring any good to the Demons." Junhyung stated, and Seunghyun just nodded his head in agreement.
"Hey, Seunghyun..." Junhyung suddenly called out.
"What is it?" Seunghyun asked.
"Was Jihoon telling the truth? You know...about Hyunseung?" Junhyung suddenly asked, surprising Seunghyun. But Seunghyun looked at Junhyung and sincerely answered, "Why would Jihoon make up such a lie?"
"I love him you know," Junhyung said as he put his head down.
Seunghyun chuckled and smiled at his brother, "Oh I know. And I know why you're selfish-"
Junhyung quickly looked at Seunghyun and asked, "What do you mean?"
Seunghyun grinned and answered his brother's question, "You're doing this mission to save Hyunseung alone. You don't even care about the other outcome. What's important to you is that you save him, am I right?"
"You're wrong," Junhyung quickly answered.
"Oh you know I'm not Junhyung."
Junhyung removed his gaze from Seunghyun and suddenly laughed.
"Fine, maybe you're right...but you also know that whether I protect him or not, it's not going to be Hyunseung," Junhyung said confidently, and Seunghyun couldn't help but nod in agreement.
"You're cruel Junhyung," Seunghyun said as he stood up. Then he looked back at Junhyung and continued, "You could even be crueler than the king of hell himself."
Junhyung smirked and looked at the cross that was hanging on the wall, "Not cruel Seunghyun...just really, really...selfish."
