SDS2 14: NOT NORMAL

"SO, AM I STILL scary and intimidating?" Suho asked, pulling Lay by his waist. Lay draped his arms around Suho's neck and looked straight at the demon's eyes, "Not scary. But sometimes, very...very...intimidating."

Suho moved his head closer to Lay as he answered in a whisper, "You trying to seduce me Zhang Yixing?"

Lay blushed as he said, "Maybe I am-" Without any hesitation, Suho quickly kissed Lay again, but this time, without the tongue. They wanted to do it longer, but both stopped when Lay heard Suho's stomach growling.

     The two laughed.

     "Sorry for ruining the mood."

"No worries. I was hungry too," Lay assured him. Then the two of them went back to Park Dong Min's penthouse.

At the dining room, the four gate angels were already waiting.

"Dinner is served our princes," the four said with a bow.

The two sat down, but before eating, Lay said, "What are you guys doing there? You need to come and sit here, you're not expecting us to eat this all are you? And you're angels, we're practically family."

The four smiled on how adorable and kind Lay was. No wonder he was a prince of the Heavens. Even Suho couldn't help but smile. The four looked at each other and nodded, then they all sat down. The girls beside Suho, and the boys beside Lay.

"Let's pray?" Suho asked, shocking the four gate angels. It was rare for the Demon to say that. Especially a prince of Hell.

"O-Of course prince Suho," one of the butlers stated as all of them held hands, then started praying. And as always, Suho felt something burn inside him every time anyone was praying. Demon blood was still flowing through his veins.

"Amen," everyone finally said when they were done with the prayer.

"Let's eat!" Suho happily stated as he grabbed his chopsticks and started eating.

While eating, Suho asked, "is it always quiet here?"

One of the maids drank some water as she answered, "There's a town just a few blocks away from here, and there's going to be a festival tomorrow too. The two of you should go."

"That's a great idea! Suho we should go, it would be fun, no doubt about it," Lay says.

Suho smiled and nodded his head, "Who are we to miss out all the fun right? We'll definitely go there!"

Lay was about to jump off his seat, excited for tomorrow. After a few more talks, dinner was over, and Lay and Suho were back in their room. The two were at the balcony, enjoying the wonderful view.

"What do you think our brothers are doing?" Lay asked, not looking at Suho.

Suho, without looking at Lay as well, answered, "I don't know...fooling around maybe? Still planning for our final battle with the King? Why? You already miss them?"

"Not really. I'm just wondering what they're doing. I think everyone deserves a vacation like us," Lay answered.

Suho finally looked at Lay as he suggested, "Well, Christmas is coming soon. Do you think we could ask your guardian if we could get out of town? Or maybe out of the country? That would be fun!"

"Yes, I think so too," Lay answered, still not looking at Suho. The two didn't talk much afterward, but the silence was already keeping them company. After a few minutes, Lay called Suho out, "Joon..."

     Suho didn't answer.

Lay thought Suho didn't hear it so he repeated, "Joon Myeon," but still, he didn't answer. Lay finally looked at Suho and said, "Ya! Kim Joon Myeon, I'm calling-" then Lay stopped when he saw Suho's reaction. Suho's eyes were wide open; shocked by what he just heard.

"Did I do or say something that might have offended you?" Lay asked, his anger turning into sadness just in seconds. But Suho quickly assured him as he stated, "N-no, you didn't, don't worry. I was just really surprised. You called me by my real name."

Lay was surprised that THAT was what Suho was reacting about, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you. I'll never call you that again." But of course, he said that in a nicer manner.

"No! Don't!" Suho shouted, making Lay shocked at his sudden action. He faced Lay and held his shoulder as he said; "No one calls me by that name, just my mom. My brothers don't even call me that.

"So..." Lay asked, not sure what Suho is implying.

Suho smiled and finally answered, "I like it."

Lay quickly sighed, laughing at what Suho just said, "Oh my gosh. I thought I hurt your feelings or something."

"Of course not," Suho stated, then he thought of a great idea and continued, "But there's a condition to that."

Lay raised an eyebrow as he asked what it was, so Suho answered in excitement, "Well, I'll allow you to call me Joon, but you need to allow me to call you Yixing, just me okay? Your brothers can't call you that either."

     Lay laughed at the request.

"No problem. But you need to promise me you're not gonna let anyone call you Joon too. Well, maybe except your mom," Lay says with a grin and both laughed.

"By the way, don't you miss your mom? You haven't been back at your homes for months now. Aren't you scared that someone from the underworld might hurt them?" Lay asked.

Suho held Lay's cheeks softly as he answered, "Not really since we still call them from time to time. But we left our pets at their care, so we don't have to worry about a thing. If you could remember, our pets-"Lay cuts Suho off and continues for him, "transform into naked humans who have really cool powers. Yes, I am aware of that."

Suho chuckled, "Good. So, should we go to sleep?"

Lay nodded, and then both of them went inside.

The two were hugging each other in bed without anything sexual; just comfort. Both drifted to sleep, hands intertwined like they were afraid that the other would leave them.

SECOND DAY

It was the second day of Suho and Lay's trial. Everyones expecting them to fail, but Suho was very determined to go back to Seoul, holding hands with his hope to be official lover Lay.

"Good mor-" Suho stopped when he realized Lay isn't beside him anymore.

"Yixing?" Suho called out as he stood up from the bed. But before he could panic completely, he saw a figure outside the balcony. Suho smiled upon seeing him, glad Lay didn't ditch him. He quickly went to where Lay was and hugged him from behind, softly kissing his cheeks.

"Good morning," Suho stated, resting his head on Lay's shoulder. Lay moved his head a little so he could lean on Suho. Then he said sweetly, "Did you have a good sleep?"

"Best sleep I've ever had in years," Suho answered, making Lay smile. Then Lay gently pushed Suho's hand off his waist. He looked at him and placed his arm around Suho's neck as he said, "Joon, did it ever occur to you that I was a possible candidate in your relationship list?"

Suho's stare softened as he answered, "Well, first of all, I didn't really have a list of possible candidates. And second, it doesn't matter if it did or didn't occur to me. What's important is that now, I want someone to be with to make me happy, and I'm ready to give that person all of me to make him happy too. And right now, I want that to be you..."

Lay was surprised at Suho's answer, but before he could even say anything, Suho continued, "I know that love isn't involved in this yet. I clearly know that you don't have that really deep feeling towards me. But I can wait for the moment where we can exchange I love yous. To me, what's important is the future because we can still improve our present."

Lay smiled, planting a soft kiss on Suho's lips. It wasn't intense and passionate, but it was sweet and gentle. It was better than any kiss they've done so far.

"Then I'll patiently wait for that too," Lay stated as they parted from the kiss.

The two went to eat breakfast afterward. After that, the two got ready for the festival. Using Park Dong Min's super cool motorbike, they went to the town. Lay wore a white and navy blue striped polo shirt, plane light brown shorts that are only a few inches above the knee, and a fedora. For Suho, he decided to wear a white polo, three buttons opened, revealing his hard and sexy chest, black knee-length shorts as well, and black shades.

The two looked so good that they started to grab everyone's attention. They looked like models for a summer photo shoot. But of course, they were already used to it in HAU. This was nothing.

"Man I missed the stares," Suho honestly stated with a smirk.

Lay smiled. Even though he didn't say it, he missed the attention too. It somehow felt good.

"I wouldn't be surprised if someone went to us to get a picture," said Suho, making Lay laugh on how ridiculous that would be.

The two were walking side by side, checking out some stores, eating street food, and playing some games at a fair just nearby. When they decided to rest, the two went to a café.

"Hey, I'll buy us some coffee, stay here," Suho instructed as he stood up from his seat, and gently kissing Lay's forehead before heading to the counter.

Lay quickly blushed then looked at the area if someone saw it. When no one did, Lay sighed, lowering his fedora so it could cover his face more.

When he thought no one was looking at him, he was actually very wrong because there was a girl who was just right in front of him, pretending to read a book. But actually, she was already stealing glances of this handsome angel.

When Lay felt her stare, he stared back, catching her in the act. She quickly laughed, and Lay chuckled. The girl saw that Lay wasn't that unapproachable, but rather cute and charming, so she bravely went to where he was and sat on the chair on where Suho was supposed to sit on.

"You must be new here," the girl said with a smile, and then she showed him her hand and continued, "I'm Gina by the way."

Lay awkwardly shook it and answered, "I'm Lay."

"Where you from Lay?" the girl asked, her accent very obvious.

Lay couldn't help but smile as he answered, "I'm from Seoul. Born and raised there."

"Then what are you doing here on our small island?" Gina asked, smiling.

"Just relaxing. You can call it an unexpected vacation," Lay answered, still smiling sweetly at the girl who's captivated by him. The girl couldn't even stare back at him straight in the eye.

"Would you...like to hang out later?" Gina shyly asked, but before Lay could answer, Suho arrived with their coffee. The girl quickly blushes even more the moment she sees Suho's face.

"Oh! Hello! You must be?" Gina asked, Suho staring back at her intensively. When Lay realized Suho wasn't answering, which he thought was very rude, he answered for him instead, "That's Suho, and he's my...f-friend."

Gina smiled, happy to see another handsome face.

"It's nice to meet you Suho," she greeted, but Suho still didn't budge.

"Well if you want, you and your friend can hang out with us tonight at the bar just in front of this café. I have really pretty friends and-" Suho quickly grabbed Lay's arm, forcing him to stand up. He glared at the girl and said, "We're not interested."

Like lightning, he and Lay left the café' leaving their untouched coffee on the table. Lay pushed Suho off him when they arrived outside. Suho's grip was too tight that it was actually hurting Lay's wrist.

"What the hell Joon, that was rude! The girl was so nice to you! To US!" Lay shouted.

"She was flirting with you Yixing! You need to be stupid to not be able to figure that out," Suho answered back, but Lay found his statement very offending.

"What the fuck did you say?" Lay stated, his anger starting to show.

Suho just aggressively scratched his head and said, "It doesn't matter what the fuck I said. What you said earlier-" Lay's anger finally faded when he saw the hurt on Suho's face. Suho didn't even have to finish his sentence for Lay to know what he was talking about.

     "Friend huh?" Suho asked.

Feeling ashamed, Lay looked away. So Suho continued, "I was so ready to scream to the world that you were my lover...and you just label me as a friend?"

"Look, I'm sorry if I said it like that. But come on, we still don't have a label remember? That's why we're here in the first place," Lay explained, so Suho looked at him seriously and told him, "I don't mind being called a friend. But the way you said it...was like you were ashamed of me."

"Joon, give me some slack. This...this isn't even normal to begin with," Lay continued, disappointing Suho even more. Lay didn't mean to say it that way, but his head was all over the place that he couldn't say the right words at the moment.

"Why? Is it because I'm a fucking guy? Because both of us are guys? Because we can't walk down the streets holding hands without people staring at us? Is that what you're trying to tell me?" Suho asked, and Lay was finally lost for words.

"Well, I guess you're right Lay. Both of us aren't even normal individually. I'm a Demon, you're an Angel, what's normal about that right?"

"Joon..." Lay tried to grab Suho, Suho quickly moved away from him, "Go back to your girl. I'm heading back to the penthouse," Suho stated, leaving Lay on the middle of the streets.

Lay felt really guilty, so he didn't follow Suho. He knew Suho needed the space after hearing such things from him. Lay just decided to walk around for a few minutes before going back to eat dinner. When he got back to the penthouse, everyone was at the table, already eating.

"Good evening," Lay softly stated as he sat down on the available seat, which was actually in front of Suho.

Suho didn't look at him like he didn't even see him. He just continued eating his food. The maids and the butlers knew something was up, so they decided to lighten the mood.

"Did you enjoy the festival prince Lay?" one of the maids asked. Lay just smiled back at him and nodded. Then the butler added, "Well, I heard there's going to be a fireworks display tonight. You and prince Suho should go back after dinner."

Before Lay could answer back, Suho added himself to the conversation and said, "I'm tired. I'm going to bed after this."

The maids and the butlers looked at each other, and then the head maid nodded and said, "But you must! It only happens once a year! If you don't see it...then what's the point of your stay here in Jeju?"

The two didn't answer, but as the kind-hearted one, Lay sighed and answered, "Okay then."

Suho glared at him, but Lay ignored his reaction and continued, "But the four of you must come with us."

The four angels quickly nodded, and the butler who hasn't talked yet stated, "Of course! We'll go there together!"

"Then it's settled. After dinner, we'll head there and watch the fireworks."

The four looked at each other once again and smiled. Happy that their plan was a success. When dinner was over, Lay was true to his words. They all went back to town to see the fireworks, and Suho was forced to come with them. Before the fireworks would start, the four had one last plan.

"Prince Lay, we're just going to buy something there okay? Bye!" Before Lay could even agree to their request, the four ran off. Leaving Suho and Lay alone together.

The two didn't talk. Suho was looking from afar, his hands inside his pockets. Lay couldn't handle it anymore; he knows that he was wrong on this argument, so he tapped Suho's shoulder.

"What?" Suho asked, still not looking at Lay.

Lay sighed, nervous, and sad at the same time. But he gathered all his strengths and said, "I'm sorry...Joon Myeon."

Suho finally relaxed his muscles. He looked at Lay with ease as he answered, "It's okay. I understand what you mean actually. I know it's embarrassing that-" Before Suho could finish, Lay grabbed Suho's collar and pulled him towards him so they could kiss. People were looking at them, judging them on what they were doing, but this time, Lay didn't mind.

Suho accepted the kiss after a few seconds. He quickly pulled Lay closer, and a gentle kiss eventually became an intense one. Suho was kissing Lay passionately, his lips opening and closing, devouring Lay's soft lips.

After a few seconds, they finally parted from the kiss.

Suho's hand was still on Lay's waist, and Lay's arms were still on Suho's neck. They were touching foreheads, smiling on what happened.

T"If you can scream it to the world...then I'll scream with you Joon. I promise."

Suho laughed, kissing Lay again, but it was more of a quick peck than a kiss. With their hands intertwined with each other, the two lovers enjoyed the fireworks.

One more day and their relationship was going to be officially labeled.
