SDS2 13: KISSING ME AWKWARDLY
"GOOD NEWS EVERYONE. WE'RE together," Suho announced to the Arcs and Demons who were in the living room. Suho was standing beside Lay, holding his hands tightly. All the sons stopped what they were doing to look back at the two, making sure they didn't just hear something dumb come out of this greedy prince's mouth.
"Well?" Suho asked, waiting for a reaction.
The son looked at the two, then down to their intertwined hands, and then back to them. After a few more seconds of staring, everyone finally got the picture.
"What?!" everyone shouted in unison; shocked on the news announced to them. Even Park Dongmin was there, but he didn't look that shocked like the rest of the brothers.
"What did you say Suho? Can you repeat that one more time?" Sunggyu asked, not too thrilled to hear the news as well.
"Lay and I are together now!" Suho answered enthusiastically, but no one really felt the same excitement as Suho. Honestly, Lay's freaked out about it himself too. It looks like Suho was the only one enjoying this.
Junhyung, who is just as speechless as the rest, went in between them and said, "What the fuck is happening here? Yesterday we were just helping Kai and Tamo - who's both been connected with you guys. And suddenly this?! Out of nowhere, you announce that you're together?! Lay fucked Tamo for Pete's sake!"
Lay glared at Junhyung upon hearing his statement, "Really Junhyung? You still can't get over that part?"
"Look, we're just concerned about your decision. Aren't you guys being irrational about this? These things have steps you know," Mark explained, and basically, they agreed but still found it funny since Mark himself said it.
Suho suddenly felt bad. He didn't expect this reaction from his brothers. He honestly thought they'd be happy about it.
"Why can't you just be happy for us?" Suho asked with a hint of sadness in his voice.
Hyunseung saw how Suho felt, so he sighed and told him, "Well, we are happy for the both of you, but...are you guys sure? We don't even see you guys talk to each other that much. Are you sure you already want to be in a relationship? You can start as friends, then best friends, and when you guys are sure, what the heck, marry each other for all we care. Even though it sounded weird when Mark said it, he's still right. You should at least take your time to know each other first."
Suho looked like he was considering it, but he still insisted on them being together.
"But we can get to know each other and be together at the same time, what's wrong about that? Being friends would be a waste of time. If we're meant to be together, we're meant to be together." Suho defended.
Then finally, the Arcs' guardian spoke.
"Lay, you haven't given us your opinion about this yet. Are you sure about this or did Suho just force you to do it?" Dongmin asked seriously, making everyone look at Lay's way.
Lay gulped, pressured if he messes up his answer. When he thought of the right words, he said, "Well, I do want to be in a relationship with someone. And I think...Suho will be the perfect match."
Everyone wanted to facepalm. How could they agree to this without thinking about it properly?
"Are you sure?" Dongmin asked further. And both Suho and Lay nodded in agreement.
"Okay then," Dongmin surprisingly answered, shocking the brothers.
"Dongmin! Are you serious?!" Junhyung angrily asked. But Dongmin ignored him and faced Suho and Lay, "I'm giving you three days. You need to spend the whole three days together. Every second, every minute, and every hour, you'll be together. Let's see if you two can spend the whole day without fighting. If you realize that things don't work out, then stop this nonsense. But if you can handle it, we'll happily accept your relationship," Dongmin seriously explained.
"That's a deal!" Suho said as he lets go of Lay's hand to run to Dongmin so he could give him a hug. And of course, Dongmin was awkward about it.
Suho laughed it off and finally moved away from the guardian.
"This will be so fun! So, where are we going?" Suho asked as he looked at Lay, but Dongmin was the one who answered it.
"I have a penthouse in Jeju, that's the place you're going to stay in for three days. You're leaving today. I'll book you a ticket now so you could leave this afternoon. The first day starts now. If one of you couldn't handle it anymore, you must go back to Seoul. And if we see that any one of you goes back alone, then it means this relationship has no chance."
"What?!" Lay and Suho said in unison, now starting to doubt the decision.
*****
Suho was in his room, packing the things he'll need for their trip. All his brothers were there too, somehow 'trying' to give him advice.
Note: here are the roommates: Hyunseung & Junhyung, Mark & Jackson, Taeil & Jihoon, Minhyuk & Suho, and Sunggyu & Jiyong. Then the rest of the Arcs have a solo room since this is their house.
"Don't do anything nasty to him Suho. We might be Demons, but Lay is still an angel," Hyunseung advised, making everyone laugh.
"Said the guy who had sex with the enemy for the sake of a plan," Minhyuk stated, making Hyunseung remember that said incident once more.
"Well, that was months ago. Junhyung and I already talked about it," Hyunseung defended.
"Whatever you say JS," Minhyuk stated, still laughing. If everyone has forgotten, these two are still best of friends, so Minhyuk is very comfortable with joking around with him.
"But if you feel like doing it, go ahead. After all, Lay has experience," Jiyong stated with a wink, low-key making Suho blush in embarrassment. Then, out of nowhere, Jackson takes something out from his wallet and throws it to Suho. Everyone was shocked because it was actually a condom.
"Just in case. But if you ask me, Mark and I like it better...raw," Jackson answered with an expressionless face, making everyone laugh.
"Idiot," Suho simply said as he hid the condom inside his bag.
"So what are you, top or bottom?" Jackson then asked, still with an expressionless face, making everyone laugh their pants off. Suho blushed even more. Just thinking about it gave him chills on his whole body.
"Then what are you?" Suho asked back so he wouldn't have to answer Jackson's super personal and embarrassing question. Everyone already knew the answer since it was already obvious.
"Top of course," Jackson said with a proud smirk, making everyone laugh once more.
"That's my brother! No one bottoms in our group! All alphas and dominants!" Sunggyu stated, finally losing it up and involving himself in the conversation. Hyunseung quickly blushed and looked away on what Sunggyu just said. Everyone completely forgot that he's a bottom, so when everyone got the hint, they laughed even more.
"Oops, looks like I was wrong," Sunggyu stated while laughing, but Hyunseung defended and pointed at Taeil and said, "What about Taeil? Isn't he a bottom too!?"
Taeil blushed and defended back, "We haven't even done it yet!"
Everyone stopped laughing and looked at him seriously.
"That's clearly a lie," Minhyuk stated. And then Jiyong continued, "I'm pretty sure Jihoon wouldn't allow that?"
Taeil hesitated at first but finally answered, "Well, I did...b-blow him...just once."
"Whoa!" everyone shouted. Now the whole room was a mess. They didn't expect Taeil to tell them that small detail.
"Wow, our little Taeil is growing up," Suho joked around, making Taeil blush even more. When Suho finished packing, he stood up and looked at his brothers.
"Any last advice before I leave my perverted brothers?" Suho asked with a huge smile on his face.
Sunggyu, as the leader, decided to speak for everyone. "Just...be yourself. Don't do anything stupid, and be serious about this. If you like him, like him. If you don't, don't force yourself to like him. Even though we think your relationship will never go anywhere, we'll support your decision. Good luck, see you in three days."
With that, Suho grabbed Sunggyu and gave him a hug. And afterward, everyone was in a huge group hug. While in his brothers' embrace, Suho thought to himself, "I'm sure of this. I'm sure that Lay's the one. I can feel it."
FIRST DAY
AT JEJU ISLAND
"We have landed in Jeju Island. We hope you enjoy your stay here. Thank you for choosing Jeju airlines. Have a great day."
"Lay, we're here," Suho stated as he showed Lay his hand.
"Just three days right? I think we can handle that." Lay answered before grabbing Suho's hand and standing from his seat.
The two went out of the plane and went to get their luggage. And without wasting any time, they took a cab and went to where Park Dongmin's penthouse was. As expected, it was by far the most beautiful penthouse in the place compared to the others. And to top it all off, it was near the beach.
"Wow, what does your guardian do exactly?" Suho asked, mouth wide open.
"I have no idea," Lay answered honestly.
Suho went inside first and Lay followed. And to their surprise, there were two maids, and two butlers welcoming them at the lobby.
"Welcome masters," the four said in unison, followed by a bow.
"How rich is this guy?!" Suho asked again, still shocked by what he was seeing. Lay couldn't believe it either, "Really rich? After all, he met the CEO of the Ravens, right? There must be something about him."
"Maybe," Suho agreed.
One of the maids went in front of them. It was obvious she was the head among these three.
"Pleasant to meet you Master Lay and Master Suho. Master Park Dong Min had told us about your arrival so we have cleaned the master's bedroom for you, and have prepared wonderful dishes for your three days stay here," she said with a soft voice.
"Oh thank you. By the way, you know what your master does for a living?" Suho asked, hoping the maid would answer.
The maid and the rest of the help smiled widely as the head maid answered, "Master Park Dong Min is a guardian of the gates of Heaven." Then one of the butlers went in front of them as well, "And it is an honor to be in the same place with the Prince of Hell and Heaven. We've heard so much about the two of you from Father Peter," the butler stated with a deeper bow than the first one, then everyone followed.
Suho and Lay were both shocked by the news; they didn't know these people knew about them. Then Lay felt something, and with a smile, he said, "You're gatekeepers. An accomplice with our guardian Park Dong Min. It looks like you were called to guard us while we're away from our brothers."
One of the maids nodded her head and answered, "Yes, we've heard about your mission. And we are surprised and glad to hear that the Seven Deadly Sons themselves are working with the Arcs to defeat the King of Hell."
"Well, thank you," Suho stated with a smile.
Finally, the last butler at the back stated, "And we were personally called by Park Dong Min to guard you while you two rest. He also told us about your mission with sir Kai and sir Tamo, and master Dongmin gave this chance for you to take a break. But of course, you're still in danger so we'll be here to make sure no ghoul will hindrance your stay here."
Lay and Suho were touched. These angels were ready to fight for their comfort. That was more than what they asked for.
"Now please follow me to your room," this time, the head said it. When she started walking, the two lovebirds followed behind her. They ended up in a really nice room with a balcony that's facing the beach. It was very relaxing, and to top it off, it had a romantic feel to it.
"Just call us when you need anything", said the maid as she bowed and left the room.
Suho quickly threw his bag on the side and grabbed Lay on the waist so they could fall on top of the bed. Both laughed. Suho then went on top of Lay, staring at him deeply.
"We have three days, and in three days I'll prove to you that I can be a better lover than Junhyung," Suho stated with full determination.
Lay didn't answer, instead, he slowly placed his arms around Suho's neck and asked, "Can I?"
Suho looked confused.
"Can you what?" he asked, making Lay blush. He got so embarrassed that he tried to push Suho off him but Suho was too strong to be knocked out. The Demons training paid off after all.
"Say it Lay. Don't be shy. I really don't know what you mean," Suho said with a chuckle.
"You know what I'm trying to say...you're just teasing me," Lay shyly says.
Suho laughed once again as he said, "I'm serious, how will I know if you don't tell me?"
Lay awkwardly looked at Suho, but Suho's stare was so intense it made Lay blush even more.
"Forget about it," Lay stated, looking away.
"Aww, that's not fair," said Suho, trying to squeeze it out of him. Lay's heart started to beat faster. The longer he stared at Suho, the more he realized something.
"I didn't know you were so handsome Suho," Lay blurted out, and this time, it was Suho's turn blushed. He quickly lets go of Lay so he could grab a pillow and use it to cover his face.
"Why are you so cute Lay?" Suho stated, his face still under a pillow. This time, it was Lay's turn to laugh.
"What? This is the first time you've ever moved your face closer to mine. I've only realized at this point how handsome you were," Lay added.
"Please don't say that again."
Lay quickly grabbed Suho and hugged him from behind as he said, "Because of your reaction, I'll tell you what I was trying to say earlier." It quickly took Suho's attention. He turned around to face Lay, anticipating on what he was trying to say earlier.
"I was asking if I could kiss you," Lay finally says.
Suho's eyes suddenly widened.
"You serious right now?" he asked, confirming if Lay just said it wrong.
Lay rolled his eyes as he repeated, "Kiss, can I kiss you?"
Suho, without answering, grabbed the nape of Lay's neck and pushed his lips on him. When both of them relaxed, Suho pushed his tongue inside Lay's lips so he can enter his mouth. Lay welcomed it whole-heartedly. When they parted, both were panting, their foreheads and noses touching each other.
"How was that?" Suho asked innocently. The question was really important to him that it made Lay laugh again. So Lay smiled and nodded his head, and that alone made the Demon smile from ear to ear.
Suho stood up from the bed and reached out his hand for Lay when Lay took it, Suho pulled Lay towards him, helping Lay to stand up.
"Want to walk on the beach before it gets late?" Suho asked, and Lay nodded in agreement.
The two not-so-sure-yet lovers went to the beach, hand in hand.
"I think this could actually work," Lay stated with a smile, and Suho agreed.
"And I think we're the weirdest and the most awkward couple on earth. We do live in one roof but we don't talk too much. We're not even close. If you ask me, we're not even friends, our label is just like...co-workers?"
Suho laughed at Lay's super honest statement.
"Strangers becoming lovers overnight because of a sudden incident? Sounds like it happens all the time," Suho joked.
"Of course it does," Lay sarcastically answered. Then both laughed.
When they stopped laughing, Suho stopped and looked at Lay with a serious expression, "Our label will be defined after three days. If things work out, we'll be lovers. If things don't work out then we're back to...co-workers. So let's try our best." He stated. Then he gently held on Lay's cheeks and planted a kiss on his forehead.
"I never knew you were like this," Lay honestly said, confusing Suho once again.
"Like what? Cheesy? I pretty am actually, it's a surprise if you haven't realized that yet," Suho innocently said, making Lay laugh.
"No, I mean...sweet, gentle...and I feel safe around you. When we were enemies before, you were really scary and really intimidating. Cheesy, yes, I could see that, but you were unapproachable. And when we were at school a lot of the students are scared of you, especially Jiyong. That's why I'm really shocked about your actions now."
Suho chuckled before answering, "I've always been like this to my brothers, and come on, you expect me to be sweet and gentle with my enemies? I don't think so. I'm really approachable, but because of Sunggyu and Jiyong, people generalize the three of us, so they think I'm scary and mean too. For Pete's sake, I helped Kai! And he was trying to steal from me!"
Lay laughed again, understanding what Suho was trying to tell him.
"So, am I still scary and intimidating?" Suho asked, pulling Lay by his waist.
Lay draped his arms around Suho's neck and looked straight at the demon's eyes, "Not scary. But sometimes, very...very...intimidating."
