SDS1 21: NEW MEMBER

THE SEVEN DEADLY SONS, including the angel Mark, arrived at Jiyong's famous mansion. Jiyong's parents left for Italy for a business trip, so Jiyong had the mansion all for himself. They were all in the living room while Mark was on the sofa, still unconscious because of the teleportation since teleporting through fire wasn't something that he was used to.

"So, what's the next plan? Now that we have Mark, what's next?" asked Taeil, still confused about what they were planning.

"Don't worry Taeil. Now that Junhyung's human, and we have Mark by our side, the Arcs will start falling one by one. And you clearly know what happens to an Angel when he betrays his clan," Sunggyu stated as he took a sip of the wine Jiyong's maid offered.

Taeil's eyes widened when he heard what their leader just said, "Don't tell me-"

Sunggyu just smiled as Suho went to where Taeil was and explained, "The longer he betrays his god, he'll slowly become a black angel, and eventually...die"

     "Exactly," Minhyuk stated in agreement.

"Well brothers, we need to sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a busy day, so we need the strength for the upcoming war," Sunggyu instructed.

"Yes brother," everyone said in unison as the brothers went to their respective rooms.

Jiyong's residence has 3 guestrooms so that means Suho sleeps at Jiyong's room. Hyunseung and Minhyuk at the first guestroom, Sunggyu (as the leader) sleeps alone at the second guestroom, and Taeil and Jackson at the third guestroom.

Everyone was already at there designated rooms except for one son, Jackson. Jackson stayed in the living room with Mark. He just sat on the floor in silence, staring at the unconscious angel. He didn't know why, but there's something about Mark that made Jackson go soft. Maybe it's because he's one of the main reasons why Mark is betraying his whole "family" in the first place.

You could say he felt guilty.

"I don't know what I'm going to do with you," he told him. Then Jackson gently held Mark's hand and whispered, "I'm sorry."

He was slowly caressing Mark's hand as he continued, "You shouldn't have been involved in this. The moment I saw you when you tried to steal the ring I knew that you didn't want to do it. Someone like you doesn't deserve such pain like ours and your brothers."

Every time Jackson closed his eyes, the image of Mark being tortured was the first thing that he saw, and that was something he wasn't proud of.

Looks like Mark isn't the only one programmed.

"Jackson! Wake up!"

Jackson slowly opened his eyes and saw his closest brother, Taeil, standing in front of him. He looked at his hand and realized that he was still holding Mark's hand the whole time that he was asleep. So Jackson quickly lets go of Mark and stood up to fix himself.

Jackson fell asleep in the living room with Mark. It's a good thing it wasn't Sunggyu who caught him.

"What's the meaning of this Jackson? Come on, Mark ain't running away you know," said Taeil in between chuckles. Taeil knew what was going on with Jackson, especially since they've been together for years. He knew that deep down that Jackson has always been soft and caring, especially since his mother raised him that way.

"I know what's up man, but please remember that you can't repeat history. JS was enough," Taeil reminded him as he patted Jackson's back and proceeded to the dining room.

It was still six in the morning. Mark was still asleep, and so was the rest of the Demons. Taeil was expected to wake up early, now that he's the "hyper" one, and Jackson wasn't used to waking up at this time of the day.

A few more minutes of dozing off, it was already seven, and everyone started to wake up except for Mark. No one bothered to wake him up since no one cared about him in the first place.

The Demons were eating in the dining room. Jackson couldn't sit properly since he kept on stealing glances on Mark while thinking, "What if he gets hungry or never wakes up at all?" Those were the thought's inside Jackson's head. He looked so worried that Sunggyu was starting to notice it.

"What's making you look like that big guy?" Sunggyu finally asked without even looking back at Jackson.

Jackson drank his coffee and answered like how he usually does, "Nothing."

Sunggyu chuckled and took a bite of his bacon, "It better be nothing," he said, now looking back at Jackson with a serious expression. The dining room became tense. You could clearly see the dark aura surrounding the room. A fight was bound to happen again.

"Okay everyone, let's all be happy that our plan worked. No need to be so tense," Minhyuk stated, quickly breaking the dark atmosphere. No one talked after that. Everyone just continued eating their breakfast in silence. And as they continued eating their food, they suddenly heard a noise coming from the living room.

"Looks like our little angel's awake," Jiyong stated. He was about to stand up from his seat, but Jackson quickly grabbed his hand and made him sit back down.

"I'll handle it," Jackson stated, standing up from his seat and heading to the living room. Sunggyu was about to stand up too, but Hyunseung, who was sitting beside the leader, held his thighs to stop him. All Sunggyu could do was take a deep breath and let their envious brother be.

When Jackson arrived in the living room, he saw Mark swaying back and forth like some kind of drunkard since his head still hurts because of what happened yesterday. He was about to stumble back, but good thing Jackson caught him on time before he could fall.

"Are you okay?" Jackson asked, but Mark just quickly pushed him away.

"W-Where am I?"He asked, making Jackson scratch the back of his head as he answered, "Hey, you chose us remember? So don't act as if we kidnapped you."

Mark ignored Jackson's comment and started looking around. He was taking a good look at where he was just in case these sons try anything again.

When the other sons were finished eating, they proceeded to the living room where Mark and Jackson were. Mark stopped looking around and tensed up when he saw the demons' leader approach him.

Sunggyu went towards him and help his chin before lifting it so he could level his eyes.

"Hey little angel...welcome to hell," Sunggyu said with a smirk on his face, making Mark flinch. He lets go of Mark and faced his brothers right after, "Okay, every one of you get ready. We're going to HAU since we have an important announcement to make. And Jackson, I bet you'll gladly want to assist our new member here."

Jackson didn't reply but the rest of the Demons left Jackson and Mark in the living room again.

Jackson was about to come closer, but Mark instantly moved away. No matter how guilty Jackson would feel, Mark will fear him after what happened.

"I can get ready on my own, I'm not a kid. Just tell me where the bathroom is," Mark quickly stated without even looking at Jackson.

Jackson took a deep breath and nodded his head in understanding, "The second door on the left, that's the bathroom. Your clothes are already inside, just hurry it up so we could all leave," Jackson stated with a low voice.

Mark gulped and ran off without saying anything else.

The seven demons, plus their 'new member' Mark, used Jiyong's forever-awesome limo as a form of transportation.  When they arrived at HAU, they decided to park right in front of the campus' main lobby, causing everyone to surround the said vehicle.

The Seven Deadly Sons went out one by one. It even looked like they were famous kpop artists who are about to walk down the red carpet of an award show.

When they got out, the seven stood in a horizontal line, and then Suho took out a megaphone and turned it on.

"What's up HAU!" Suho shouted in excitement.

The students shouted back, almost making the other sons laugh. Apparently the students were still too scared not to react to what these Demons were saying.

Suho smiled at the fake reaction and continued, "Well, we're here for an important announcement. The Demons has finally found a new official member!"

The students started to look confused. Some even brought their phones out so they could film the epic moment. Everyone thought it was some kind of new student who's just as bad as them, but they weren't prepared to see who the Demons were actually referring to.

"Let us gladly introduce you, our new member! Mark!" Suho finally announced.

Everyone gasped when tey saw Mark pop out of the limo. Flashes were everywhere, and people were going nuts (Yup, just like kpop artists). How can an Arc be a Demon out of the blue?!

"Now, whoever tries to hurt this guy...will be facing us." Suho wanred with a sadistic grin, causing everyone's skin to stand.

"Okay bye!" Suho finished. Then he threw the megaphone away, and the Demons (plus Mark), walked away and entered the lobby like they owned the whole place.

HAU's NEWSPAPER HEADLINE: Mark of Arcs, now a Demon?!

The Demons decided to cut classes and stay at their building's rooftop. The announcement that they made earlier was pretty much useless because the Arcs didn't show up. But regardless of their enemies' absence, the Demons enjoyed their moment earlier, so it's not a complete lose.

"Why the fuck didn't your brothers show up?" Minhyuk angrily asked, but Mark kept his mouth shut.

"So Mark? Why choose Demons?" Hyunseung then asked, even though he knew what the reason was.

Mark was sitting on the floor, just in front of the metal fences. He still didn't answer but stared at the huge buildings in front of him instead. His expression was blank, so Hyunseung looked back at Minhyuk and shrugged his shoulders.

"Anyway, you're one of us now. Who cares about those angels. Demons are way better. You can do whatever you want and don't get punished by it, and the best part is... there are no rules," Taeil happily explained.

Jiyong was lying on the floor with his headset on while using his bag as a pillow. When he closed his eyes, he thought, "How long do we have to put up with this? Why don't you just die already you fucking useless Angel."

"Hey, let's treat our new boy here. How about we go to the bar, get drunk, and fuck some bitches," Suho suggested, quickly making Sunggyu glare at him.

"This isn't the time to "fuck some bitches" Suho. Think about what's going to happen to us because of that," Sunggyu scolded, so Suho sighed in defeat and said back, "Fine, whatever you say Kim Sunggyu."

While everyone was minding their own business, Jiyong quickly stood up and removed his headset. He looked at his brothers with an annoyed expression and told them, "Hey, let's go play at the arcade! Let's leave this crappy place! I'm so bored I could freakin' die!"

Everyone looked at Jiyong confusingly, but Sunggyu sighed and stood up from the bench. "You heard him. Let's head out before he explodes like a bomb."

The sons didn't complain and stood up except for Mark.

"Hey newbie, you don't wanna join your big bro's here?" Taeil playfully asked, but Mark just shook his head and declined.

"Well, we can't leave this guy alone," Sunggyu stated while looking at his brothers. When his eyes reached Jackson, he quickly pointed at him and continued, "Jackson, you take care of this little angel while we play outside. We'll come back before lunch break."

Yup, make the guy who tortured Mark "take care" of him.

     "Okay." Jackson simply answered.

Hyunseung looked at Jackson and told him, "Go easy on him this time," then he winked, making the rest of the Demons laugh.

The Demons pretty much didn't care if Jackson falls in love with Mark or not. Mark would die anyway, and they all know Jackson's not the type of guy who would go crazy because of his mere feelings. He's no Junhyung.

"See you later prince of envy!" Jiyong shouted as he and the rest of the Demons left the two at the rooftop.

when they left, Jackson looked at Mark, but Mark completely ignored him. So Jackson just went to the bench to lie down. He was about to close his eyes when suddenly...

     "I will never forgive you."

"What?" Jackson asked, sitting back up to face the angel.

"I will never forgive the wrongdoings you Demons had done to me. I don't know why but...even though I know that you've done all those things to me, every time I remember the pain that I felt that time, I always end up getting mad at my brothers. It would always look like my brothers caused me much pain rather than you. I just couldn't handle it anymore. So, now do you know why I chose the Demons?" Mark suddenly explained, shocking Jackson.

Jackson didn't know what to say so he just nodded his head as an answer. He didn't need to hear what Mark just told him, especially when he's the one who programmed Mark in the first place.

"How about your Fathers? Are you okay with leaving them behind and joining us?" Jackson surprisingly asked, not wasting the moment that Mark's finally talking to him.

"I'm already done with being a mindless soldier of God," Mark answered, shocking Jackson on what he just said. He didn't know why, but he felt pity when he saw Mark's sad expression. His sadness completely contradicted to what he said, which only made Jackson realize how good their manipulation was.

"Hey Wang, I-" Before Mark could finish, Mark suddenly felt dizzy. Jackson quickly stood up and supported him. The demon stared deeply at Mark's eyes and unknowingly brushed Mark's red hair back. But then he stopped when he saw the color black underneath Mark's red hair.

Mark was really turning into a black angel.

"Hey, do you want me to bring you to the clinic or..."

Mark stood up properly and pushed Jackson away from him as he answered, "I'm fine."

Jackson continued to stare at him in silence.

Mark looked so weak. Anyone who would see him would think he's sick. He also had a blank expression on his face. But for some reason. For some fucking reason, Jackson saw pain and hurt instead. Mark knew what the Demons did to him, and the fact that he despised his brothers instead pained him. His heart and mind was fogged, and Jackson couldn't help but feel guilty every time he saw him.

"I'm sorry," Jackson suddenly stated, making Mark look at him with confusion.

     "What do you-"

Mark wasn't able to finish because Jackson kissed him without even warning him. While he was kissing him, Mark's eyes widened from shock, but he couldn't seem to push Jackson away. A few seconds later, Jackson finally parted from the kiss. Both men were panting heavily. Mark was flustered. No one had kissed him on the lips before.

"What the hell are you-" Mark stopped when out of nowhere, it started to rain. It seems like a demon kissing a son of the Angel of Justice isn't a good sign.

"Ah, shit! I'm wet! We need to go you idiot!" Mark shouted as he was about to leave the rooftop, but Jackson quickly grabbed him by the arm, stopping him. He then pulled Mark closer and looked at his hair again.

     The black strands were gone.

Jackson started to smile when he saw that Mark was looking a lot better.

"Wang, are you okay?" Mark confusingly asked.

Jackson ignored Mark's question. Instead, he held Mark's shoulder tightly and told him, "Mark...fall in love with me."

The rain grew stronger. Mark froze in place as if he paralyzed himself. "Fall in love with me" was a dangerous request coming from a demon. Especially when he knew that Junhyung did the same trick with Hyunseung.

"What are you even saying?" Mark asked, even more confused on the situation.

Jackson looked at Mark again and said instead, "Please. Fall in love with me."

"Falling in love with a demon...will lessen your death. At least this is the only thing I could do for you Mark," Jackson thought as he looked at Mark who was still shocked on Jackson's sudden request.

"Wang, are you high right now?" Mark asked instead.

Jackson squeezed Mark's shoulders tighter and told him with a serious tone, "This is the only way that I could think of."

"I don't want to betray my brothers, but the guilt I feel is slowly consuming me. And the only way to kill it is by making sure I make things right with you."
