SDS1 09: PLAN B

THE DEADLY SONS, WITH their seven guardians, were all unconscious on the ground, while the holy sons were just staring at them with a satisfied and victorious look.

"We did it!" Woohyun shouted while jumping up and down, but Junhyung – their leader – didn't look satisfied at all. In fact, he looked disappointed at how the battle went down. The seven sons might be unconscious now, but that wasn't because of them, and that shouldn't be something that the Arcs should celebrate about.

"Without our Father's help, we would have been killed in our first fight!" Junhyung shouted, making everyone stop celebrating.

"Junhyung, it's not our fault. None of us knew that these demons had already found out about their abilities," Seunghyun explained, but Junhyung shook his head in disagreement.

"Junhyung, they were strong but we still defeated them! That's what matters," Lay reminded him, but then Junhyung clenched his fist and quickly said back, "I will not feel proud about this mistake, especially after what happened with you, Mark."

Mark quickly looked down on his feet so he couldn't see their leader's killer glare. Then Junhyung continued, "Jihoon, bring everything back to normal. Lay, you heal Sungjae. Those demons didn't get any serious injuries because of their guardians so they'd wake up eventually."

Lay nodded his head and went to the unconscious Sungjae. He gently placed his hands on Sungjae's chest so he could heal him. Then Jihoon looked around the motionless area. He was about to snap his fingers to turn back time when Woohyun suddenly pulled his polo, "Stop..."

"What's the problem?" Jihoon confusingly asked, so Woohyun pointed at the sky where they saw a phoenix flying towards them.

Lay quickly released Sungjae and stood up.

"Junhyung, we need to go," Seunghuyn stated as he looked at their leader.

"Okay, carry Sungjae. We'll give our absence slip tomorrow. Right now we need to move before that bird gets to us," Junhyung instructed, and the Arcs quickly ran away from the scene and escaped to their holy home where they saw their forever drunkard guardian, Dongmin.

"Wow, you all look great!" Dongmin sarcastically stated the moment he saw the Arcs enter the living room.

Junhyung angrily threw his bag at Dongmin and shouted, "I don't need your fucki...freakin' dick attitude right now!"

Junhyung avoided saying any curse words especially when they're inside their "Holy Home". Their fathers would scold him again for sure, and he doesn't need any scolding right now.

"Just because you lost a fight doesn't mean you could throw your anger at me Yong Junhyung," Dongmin stated as he stood up and pushed the bag Junhyung threw at him just a few seconds ago.

"We didn't lose," Junhyung pointed out as he was staring at the crucifix hanging on the wall of their living room.

"But you didn't win either. So it still makes you a loser," said Dongmin as he was now standing in front of Junhyung. Junhyung tried his very best not to flinch on what their guardian had said, but he was unsuccessful, and the expression made Dongmin smirk.

"Now listen, all of you. I'm still your guardian so I still need to correct your wrongdoings. Now go to the mirror and report to your Fathers about what happened today," Dongmin instructed to them, shocking everyone.

"No! We can't!" Lay answered back with a worried expression.

"Please Dongmin, please don't let us do this", Mark pleaded as he was carrying Sungjae on his back.

"Mark, I already gave you a chance, I won't give all of you another. Now go upstairs and heal Sungjae. Afterward, you report this to your Fathers," Dongmin told them once again but with a lower voice this time.

Jihoon went to Dongmin and practically pleaded at him, "Our Fathers doesn't have to know."

"As our Fathers, it is their right to know Jihoon," Dongmin quickly answered back.

Jihoon was about to disagree once again, but Junhyung held his shoulder this time. He looked at Jihoon, then he looked at the rest of the Arcs and stated in defeat, "He's right. Our Fathers need to know about this mistake. Now let's go."

Junhyung picked his bag up and went upstairs, making the Arcs all shocked. Junhyung never listened to their idiotic guardian, and this was the first time he didn't even back his brothers up. But Junhyung felt disappointed about what happened today. It only made him realize that their chance of defeating them would be harder to achieve.

When all the Arcs went upstairs, Dongmin was left alone in the living room. He was a useless guardian and he clearly knew that, but it was still his duty to correct their mistakes, even if he hated it.

*****

"What happened earlier was a huge mistake sons," said Phanuel. Then everyone answered in unison, "We're sorry Father."

The sons were standing in front of the mirror, talking to Sungjae's Father, Phanuel

Junhyung, as the leader of the group, was standing right in front of the mirror while his brothers were standing behind him. On the other hand, Sungjae was still unconscious on the sofa.

"And look at my son, Sungjae. Lay's healing ability will not be enough. What happened to him was not just simple draining. A demon drained him, and demon powers are just as strong as angel powers. While Sungjae is drained, Beelzebub's son is still absorbing his energy. Lee Minhyuk will only absorb your power. You're only healing that demon, not Sungjae, do you understand?" Phanuel explained.

"Yes Father," Lay answered in understanding.

"Now, why are you born on earth my sons?" their father suddenly asked them.

"To defeat the demons," everyone answered without any hesitation.

Phanuel looked at the six Arcs one by one and said, "Then why do you keep on failing? At first the ring. I told you that before you make your plan you must think. We warned you about their guardians but you still insisted. What are you showing?" Phanuel asked, but no one answered, so he had no choice but to answer it himself, "You are showing stubbornness! You think you're ready, you think you're strong, but you are not. The demons can act like animals all day long, but that is something you are forbidden to do. You are products of Angels. You are the face, the body, and the soul of God."

Everyone kept quiet. They started feeling bad about what they did the other day.

"And I didn't just warn you, I told you that your plan will never work. Stealing the rings? Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's house, wife, and possessions. That was stated in the 10 commandments. You are sons of angels. You should be the one who is following it," Phanuel explained further. But upon hearing the commandments, Junhyung snapped. His head that was looking down on his feet slowly looked straight into Sungjae's Father, "If you want us to follow those rules then why are you asking us to kill those sons? Thou shall not kill, isn't that part of those commandments as well?"

The Holy sons were shocked as they looked at their brother who was effortlessly talking back to an Archangel. But Phanuel was not fazed. He looked back at Junhyung and finally answered, "They are demons, Junhyung."

"So killing them is okay, but stealing from them is a crime because they're demons? But there's one thing that you might have missed; they are still humans father, have you forgotten?" Junhyung quickly replied.

"Humans? They are not humans! Demonic blood runs through their veins! Our Father did not make such a creature. They are created by a demon they call king, they are not even close to being a human," Phanuel defended.

Junhyung clenched his fist and bravely stated, "But their mothers, aren't they human? They did not know that their lovers were demons, they did not know that..."

Junhyung was suddenly cut off as Phanuel shouted, "Silence!"

Junhyung stopped. His brothers looked confused, and so did he. Why is he even defending those demons all of a sudden?

"You will follow what our Father had ordered. You are here on earth not to make friends, but to defeat the demons that will destroy what God has created for the innocent", Phanuel stated.

"There are no more innocent people on earth Father..." Junhyung whispered, but it was still loud enough for Phanuel to hear.

Phanuel looked at Junhyung seriously and told him, "You might be right my son. Because even a son of an angel...can be as demonic as 'them', am I right?" Then his image in the mirror was gone, and their reflection was the only thing that they could see.

Everyone was silent. But the silence was disrupted when Junhyung suddenly grabbed the vase on the center table and threw it at the wall, startling everyone.

"Junhyung, stop!" shouted Seunghyun as he tried to calm his brother down.

Seunghyun was Junhyung's closest brother. The reason is that they're the first ones to meet when Mark and the others were still in their mother's care. Junhyung and Seunghyun were the first ones to experience intense training at a very young age.

"What else is left Seunghyun?! Everything we do, we end up failing. I'm tired of failing! I'm tired of being scolded all the time!" Junhyung shouted angrily.

"Do you think you're the only one who's tired Junhyung?!" Seunghyun shouted back.

"I know because I'm the leader. Whenever there's trouble, I'm always the one who should back you up and fix your mess. So you wouldn't know how I'd feel because you guys only keep on messing up!" Junhyung replied, and the Arcs couldn't help but be shocked by their leader's cruel words.

"Yong Junhyung! What did you just say?!" Jihoon asked with a threatening voice.

"Junhyung, we've been doing our best," said Woohyun, but it only made Junhyung even more furious.

"Best? But that best isn't doing anything good to us. They're stronger than us and we know it, our God knows it. What's the point of..." Before Junhyung could finish his sentence, Seunghyun punched his dear brother on the face, making Junhyung fall to the ground.

"Junhyung!" the rest shouted from shock.

Junhyung's nose was now bleeding, but he only wiped it off with the back of his hand. Lay was about to run towards Junhyung, but Seunghyun stopped him and commanded, "Don't you dare cure him. Do you understand me Yixing?"

Lay slowly nodded his head, then Woohyun held Lay's shoulder and they continue to watch the two Arcs fight.

Seunghyun went back to Junhyung. He placed his feet between Junhyung's body and pulled his collar towards him as he said, "What the hell's wrong with you? What happened to the old Junhyung that we all know? We lose one fight and you act as if we can never win. Is this what a leader should do? Are you seriously telling me you're not the son of Father Michael?"

Junhyung didn't answer. So Seunghyun pulled him even closer and shouted, "Answer me Junhyung!"

"No! I am the son of Michael and I am like God!" Junhyung shouted, and everything fell silent once again.

Seunghyun sighed and hugged his brother tightly. After a few seconds, he stated, "I'm sorry," and then he stood up and helped Junhyung up. Junhyung looked at his brothers and suddenly bowed, "I'm sorry for being a jerk, and I'm sorry if I failed you once again my brothers."

Mark went to where Junhyung was and told him, "No, I should be the one who should be apologizing. I was too excited about our first plan that I forgot about the consequences."

"Okay guys, let's face it, this was all our faults," said Jihoon, and everyone agreed to that decision.

When everything was now back to normal, everyone sat on the sofa where Sungjae was. To make things up with their Fathers, Junhyung told them that they should think of a new plan. A plan that will take them a step closer to defeating the deadly sons.

     But the question was...what plan?

"I know!" Junhyung shouted, quickly making everyone look at him.

"What is it Junhyung?" Woohyun curiously asked.

Junhyung was staring at his reflection on the mirror as he stated, "PLAN B, we need to..."

*****

On the other hand, the demons were lying in bed. Minhyuk was the first one to wake up. I guess Lay's healing powers paid off after all.

"Ah...fuck, my head hurts," Minhyuk complained while he was touching his aching head. Then he realized he was in a room that he wasn't familiar with. He was sure this wasn't any of his brother's rooms.

"Where am I?" Minhyuk asked, and then someone answered him, "You're at my house."

     "Kharon!?"

It was Kharon the Third, standing beside the window. He looked back at Minhyuk and slowly went to where he was. He placed a finger on his head, then the throbbing feeling Minhyuk had earlier was now gone.

"How did you...wait, where's Gula? He appeared earlier, right? He was in a human form right?!"Minhyuk quickly asked, panic present in his tone.

"Calm down Minhyuk, your pet hamster is fine," Kharon assured him, making Minhyuk sigh in relief.

"Good. I'd die if something bad happens to him", Minhyuk honestly stated.

Kharon ignored Minhyuk's last comment and went to the rest of the unconscious sons, "I think it's about time your brothers wake up," Kharon stated as he gave out a soft whistle. One-by-one, the sons slowly opened their eyes.

It made Minhyuk realize that Kharon was truly a powerful demon.

"Where are we?" Sunggyu asked as he sat up from the bed where he saw Taeil lying beside him. Then every one of them sat up as well and looked at their priest slash guardian, Kharon.

"Like what I said earlier, you're at my house. And if you're asking, your guardians are now fine and were sent back to your homes. You should thank them later because you might have died if they didn't cover you," Kharon explained.

"The Arcs, where are they? Did they escape? We can catch up and beat them once and for all," Hyunseung asked, a little angry about what happened to him earlier since he was practically helpless and Junhyung just HAD to strike him with lightning.

"Catch them? Do you know how long you've been sleeping?" Kharon asked them, and everyone looked at him blankly.

"You've been asleep for 14 hours. I had to absorb the lightning that struck you. And believe me, it hurt me more than you know. If I didn't do just that then all of you would have been paralyzed," Kharon explained, then everyone realized their mentor did look tired.

"It's already 8 in the morning. Now skedaddle and head back to your homes. Your mothers are worried and you're already late for class," Kharon surprisingly told them. They didn't expect him to care about their mothers AND their class attendance at all.

"Are you serious right now? We just woke up from...I don't know, a coma?! And you're asking us to go to class?!" Jiyong asked, and Kharon crossed his arms and answered him, "School is still important. Imagine how hard your mothers have to work just to send you to such a prestigious university."

The sons looked at Kharon with disbelief. They couldn't believe he was a demon.

"Wait, aren't you going to scold us or something? We practically lost from a fight with the Arcs earlier", Taeil stated before Jiyong could say anything else to Kharon.

"Well, I already expected that something like that would happen. And besides, the Arcs didn't technically win, so you didn't technically lose either," Kharon stated with a charming wink, and the sons looked at each other and smiled.

"Well, you heard our school's priest. We need to head back to our homes," Sunggyu instructed as he stood up from the bed.

"But there wouldn't be enough time for us if we split up. I think it's better if we just go to Minhyuk's house. We have extra clothes there and it's the nearest house to the university", Jackson suggested.

"Yeah, but why don't we just teleport ourselves?" Jiyong asked with his right eyebrow raised.

"Definitely not! You need to regain your strengths first, so no using of powers, understand?" Kharon commanded, and everyone agreed since they do feel weaker than normal.

"And Jackson, you need to hand the rings back to your brothers," Kharon then added, making Jackson nod as an answer.

"Okay then, let's go, brothers," Sunggyu commanded, and all of them stood up from the beds. But before they could leave the room, Suho looked at Kharon and asked, "Oh yeah Kharon, where are we exactly?"

"Don't worry. Minhyuk's house is just a few blocks away from here," Kharon explained, shocking them. So Minhyuk ran to the window and saw the street sign outside. Kharon was right; Minhyuk knew this street even with his eyes closed.

"I know where we are guys, let's go," said Minhyuk with confidence. Then the sons thanked Kharon for taking care of them. After bowing in front of their mentor, the seven went out of the house when suddenly...

"Guys...look," Hyunseung pointed at Kharon's supposed house. When they turned around, they saw that the fancy house they were in a few seconds ago was actually an abandoned house that Kharon just used to help hide them while they were asleep.

"So Kharon lied to us after all," Suho stated.

"Where does that guy live though?" Taeil asked, but no one answered him since they didn't have a clue either. Now the seven sons were walking the streets, all tired from what happened to them yesterday. They couldn't believe that they were struck by a lightning too. If they were pure humans, they would have died for sure.

"Guys?" Hyunseung asked while they continued walking.

     "What?" they answered in unison.

"Is it just me or is everyone staring at us?" Hyunseung confusingly asked them.

The seven sons stopped walking because they only realized just now that everyone was staring at them. Could it be that Hyunseung's erotic aura became too strong that even the other members are being affected by it? Or are they just really that handsome?

"Is it because of my pink hair?" Jiyong suddenly blurted out.

"Are you seriously bringing this up now Jiyong?" Jackson asked him. But as the seven sons were awkwardly standing in the middle of the streets, a running girl suddenly bumped into the seven's scary leader, Sunggyu.

"Whoa, are you okay?" Sunggyu asked as he quickly held the girl's shoulder before she could fall any further. The girl moved away from him and said, "I'm fine, thank-" she stopped when she lifted her head and saw Sunggyu's face.

"Oh my god! It's bad boy Kim Sunggyu!" the girl shouted.

"Bad boy Kim Sunggyu?" the demons asked in unison.

Sunggyu suddenly blushed in embarrassment and said, "Hey! Who you calling bad-" But before Sunggyu could react to what the female student said, two more girls ran to where she was and joined her.

"Shin Young, why did you run all of a sudden?!" the second girl asked while trying to catch his breath. The girl who was called 'Shin Young' slowly raised her hand and pointed at Sunggyu, making the three shriek, and causing the sons to cover their ears because of it.

"Ah! It's the famous trio of HAU!" they shouted in unison.

"The famous trio?" Hyunseung asked, and then Jackson continued, "Of Holy Angels University?"

Well, it was no doubt that Suho, Sunggyu, and Jiyong were famous. Even before they met their brothers, these three were already in the top chart of the popularity list. But it all changed when the demons arrived because the seven of them were now ALL on the popular list.

"Suho! I didn't know you were this handsome up close! Do you know that we've been idolizing you ever since you were in High school? That's why it was really sad when we heard you moved into an all-boy university," the girl on the middle stated, and all Suho could do was look back at her with a confused expression.

"By the way, we're freshmen students at Lindt University. It's just a few streets away from HAU," said the girl who bumped on Sunggyu earlier.

The seven blankly stared at the three enthusiastic students. Then Jiyong broke the silence as he said, "Hey, you know what? We don't care!" Jiyong was about to leave when one of the girls approached him, "Jiyong! Can you take a selca with me?!"

"Not a chance kid," Jiyong replied as he turned around to face her. The six saw her look disappointed, so Hyunseung went to where she was and said, "I'll take a picture with you," Hyunseung said, moving his face so close to her that they thought he'd kiss her.

The girl's face turned red. Then the three of them realized that the other boys behind Sunggyu and Suho were no doubt just as handsome as their idols.

"H-Handsome..." Shin Young said while stuttering. Then Taeil happily went to the three of them and said, "Nice to meet the three of you, I'm Taeil and we're the Demons, along with Sunggyu, Jiyong, and Suho."

"So, how about that picture?" Hyunseung asked once again, but the girl was too shocked to even reply.

While everyone was enjoying the girl's attention, Jiyong finally shouted, "Enough of this shit!" They all looked at Jiyong who was obviously impatient and pissed off. They were already late for class. They didn't have to put up with this.

"Stop fooling around and let's go before that Kharon-"

"Before I what?" A low voice suddenly asked.

Everyone quickly turned around and saw their mentor, Kharon.

     "Kharon!" Minhyuk shouted in surprise.

"What are you still doing here? Shouldn't you be at Minhyuk's house by now?" Kharon asked, irritated that he saw the seven still a few steps away from his fake house.

Minhyuk practically pushed their leader closer to Kharon. So Sunggyu just gulped and answered, "W-well, we were..."

"Hi!" One of the girls greeted, surprising Kharon. Kharon – with both of his hands inside his pockets – lowered his head a little so he could be face to face with her. I guess this was a disadvantage for being a little too tall.

The girl blushed since Kharon just kept on staring at her. Then without any warning, Kharon gently placed one of his hands on her cheeks and whispered close to her ear, "Be gone...my lovely rose."

The girl's eyes turned red, making the seven sons shocked. Then the rest of the girls' eyes turned red soon after. Without anything to say, they turned around and left the scene without any struggle.

"What did you just do?!" Suho asked. Then Taeil added, "Wait, don't tell me that's what you did to Yol too?!"

"I just saved you from those fangirls. Aren't you even going to thank me?" Kharon replied instead. Then Jiyong went to where his brother was and told them, "I don't think that's something we should be thankful about."

"Here we go again," Taeil thought to himself, but good thing Kharon didn't try to answer back.

"Didn't I tell you to head home already?" Kharon asked them instead.

"Like I was trying to say, those girls suddenly talked to us and-"

While the sons were explaining the situation to their guardian, a man suddenly shouted, "Jang Hyunseung!"

Everyone turned around. At first, they thought it was more fangirls, but everyone was surprised to see who it was because the person who shouted Hyunseung's name was the Arcs' leader, Yong Junhyung.

The sons looked at Junhyung with shock and anger.

"How dare you show your face to us!?" Jiyong shouted as he was about to run to where Junhyung was, but Kharon stopped him from doing so. Like what he said, they were still too weak. Even though Junhyung's alone, they'd still be too weak to fight him.

"I'm not here to fight," said Junhyung as he went to where Hyunseung was.

Sunggyu wanted to push him away from his brother. After all, he struck lightning on him yesterday. But even though Sunggyu was burning inside, and he felt like his weapon would appear any minute, Kharon was trying his best to stop him. So he didn't make any move and just looked at Junhyung who was standing in front of their 'lusty brother'.

"Hey, Hyunseung..." said Junhyung as a bouquet of roses suddenly appeared on his hands. Then he handed it over to Hyunseung and continued, "Go out with me."

     "What!?"

With those four words, the six were suddenly burning in anger.

     Like literally...

EARLIER...

"I know!" Junhyung shouted, quickly making everyone look at him.

"What is it Junhyung?" Woohyun curiously asked.

Junhyung was staring at his reflection on the mirror as he stated, "PLAN B, we need to make them fall in love with us."
