Two
The last round of the first stage of the tournament went by with such speed that it was hard to believe that it ended with a win from me and Walkyia. He was sitting on the bench watching me battle and I would admit that I felt like a king with his eyes on me as the bey burst without much hesitation. Out of everyone who watched me including my family his eyes were the only ones who cut into my soul like a knife would do to cake. I gave a small smile as the crowd cheered and rose a hand to wave but stopped as I turned my head slightly as I heard footsteps to see Walkyia leaning against the railing. His hands played with his hair as his elbows rested on the metal railing so he could look up at me with a small smirk, but that didn't compare at all with his flushed cheeks and excited eyes. I bit my lip as I looked over at the DJ who announced that it was the last round of the tournament for the day which brought an aggravated sigh from those who were scheduled for tomorrow.
"Aww man! I thought that I was going to battle today to!," I looked away from Walkyia to see Valt making a scene which wasn't unusual so no one said anything as they walked past him and Rantaro. Rantaro acted like he was way more mature than Volt but that wasn't exactly true because they both had their moments where they both got a little over bearing. The only thing that Rantaro had going for him was he wasn't at all bad looking but his personality was something that not many people could overcome and conquer. I looked over back at Walkyia to see him staring at Rantaro from the corner of his eye but he didn't seem to be interested in anything else as his eyes slowly drifted down him then back. I bit my lip as I walked over to him and he looked up at me with a small smile as he slowly straightened himself up so he could look up into my eyes.
"You had a good match today," he said with a small smile but crossed his arms before motioning his hand to himself while his other rested on his hip with a gleam in his eyes. "But what else would you expect when you learned from none other than the best," I gave a small smile as I walked towards the stairs. Every win that I have ever brought in Walkyia counted as a win for himself but I didn't really have a problem with it because in a way he was right. He was the one who taught me everything that I have ever known about Beyblade so I guess in a way I owed him for the little reputation I had made for myself. That being the case I did take my own share of pride when I won a match because Walkyia may have taught me but I was the reason why I was getting any better. Well, at least that is how I liked to think about it so I didn't feel completely at Walkyia's disposal.
"Yeah I guess I did," I said as I slowly walked down the stairs so I could join him by his side and his eyes were soon once again over his shoulder when he heard Volt make a whiney yell. His eyes were narrow and he looked like he was about to kill someone, I sighed because sometimes I felt like I was more of a babysitter to him sometimes. I knew very well that if I didn't pull him away from the situation he would do whatever came by instinct and sadly that happened to be pushing down people's buttons in the wrong way. "He is so annoying. They should just disqualify him because he is such a nuisance. It is probably a fluke that he is even here in the first place because there is no way he will win against me and Wyveron," he said as he looked over at me with a grim facial expression but I didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing because he usually looked like that when people were around.
I looked around at the few groups that were still around. I had to assume that they were all waiting for DJ to leave so they could continue practice for the matches tomorrow. The people who competed today would have left already which meant that the locker rooms would be open and would be empty. I gave a small smile as I looked around to see if anyone was watching before lightly brushing the top of his hands with my fingertips. His breath caught in his throat as his cheeks heated up, I had to admit that when he was caught off guard he was adorable but I didn't dare say that out loud in fear of being slapped or worse. "You want to come to the locker room to get my stuff?," I asked in a small voice as he slowly held his hand as he looked around at the people in the groups around us before giving a small sigh. His eyes shone against the sun as he slowly looked back up at me in a shy way that he liked to act out whenever me and him got into this.
"I have nothing else better to do," he answered after a moment of thinking and I gave a sharp nod as I headed for the hall, and the funny thing was my bag actually was in the locker room. He followed close behind with his lips for once sealed as I slowly opened the door at the end of the hall and held it open so he could walk in ahead of me. One of the walls were covered in old white lockers that contrasted horribly with the orangish walls that were hard to look at because of the ugly color. Circular black cushion chairs were in the rooms in a neat little row in front of the mirrors that ranged from full body to a small hand held mirror that somebody had to have left behind. The floors were made of brown carpet that had been freshly vacuumed for the tournament that was in town and smelled like old air freshener. I slowly walked in so I could close the door and smiled as I looked at a few of the windows that were in the room that allowed sunshine to shine through to provide natural light.
I heard the floor creak and looked up to see Walkyia walking towards me slowly with his eyes looking up at me with such determination that for a moment I was caught off guard. I slowly brought my hands up to his cheeks, he was always so soft and it amazed me how he always seemed to smell freshly showered no matter the time of day. His eyes slowly closed as I slowly placed my lips on his, his lips were soft and moist against mine. I ran my hands down from his cheeks so I could rest them on his shoulders the best I could anyway without cutting myself on his fashion statement. He put his hands on my chest before kissing back a little harder to try and show me who was dominate when it came to stuff like this. I slowly ran my hands down his slender waist before pulling him closer to my body so I could hear him squeak a little from surprise which made me pull back for air.
He panted hard against my face as his cheeks flushed red and his eyes glossed over with newly found excitement that would drive him mad. Saliva ran down his lips softly but I rose my hand to brush it away with my thumb and he blushed redder when I brought my lips to his nose to kiss it softly. He was such a baby when it came to stuff like this and I would admit that I did find slight pleasure in teasing him with small kisses and snuggles. "H-Hoji I thought that we both agreed that you wouldn't tease me anymore," he whined a little and I chuckled as I placed my forehead on his, he was my world and I knew that more than anything when holding him in my arms like this. No one would be able to take him from me while he laid in my arms with his lips firmly on mine- and for once sealed- and his hands were busy with me. I would keep him out of trouble and I didn't need to win a tournament to prove to myself that I was good enough for him.
I frowned as I remembered the lineup for me and him to battle, I wouldn't be able to stand it if he won the match without so much as trying. More or less I feared the inevitable, Walkyia wasn't only beautiful but rich which meant that millions of people would be lining up at his door to try and get his hand in marriage. His personality wasn't the best when he was putting up the wall but people would put up with just about anything for money. I wanted more than anything to prove to Walkyia that I was good enough for him and I know what you are all thinking. Why not use your family? Or what about your job? Problem was my family was on the line of being poor and I worked an after school job that Walkyia thought was stupid to have, but then again he never worked a day in his life. I needed to win this match in order to keep things interesting between us or he would leave me for someone else... someone like Rantaro. With better looks, more money, and just so happened to be a decent blader on the side of it.
"Hoji," I jumped a little as I was greeted by a pair of annoyed eyes and his nose touched mine lightly. "What are you doing? You're supposed to be paying attention to me," he said in a stern tone and open his mouth to say something else but I pushed my lips onto his so I could brush my tongue softly against his. He moaned lightly as he wrapped his arms around my neck softly and I held his hips in my hands as his eyes slowly fluttered closed. He was so warm and smelled so nice as I pulled back and kissed his jawline softly as his heart pounded against my chest. "I have been neglecting you haven't I?," I said as I slowly kissed his neck before pulling back so I could look into his eyes to see that color of blue that only was allowed to shine when me and him were alone. There were parts of Walkyia that I needed to still unlock but for now those eyes and his sweet lips were enough to satisfy me for now.
"Is that even a question?," he said in between small kisses but soon lightly pushed me away but not enough for me to fall back, but it was enough to make me stop for a moment. He crossed his arms before looking away, I gave a small sigh because I watched the light drain from his face which meant that he was about to start a fight. Here I thought it was going so well to, but then again I was starting to think that picking fights was Walkyia's way of saying that he cared. "You haven't been coming over as often...," he said with a sheepish blush and avoided my gaze but didn't turn away like he usually did to hide it. I stood there dumbfounded because we had gotten a ride from his house to the tournaments and I was there almost every day for training. "I mean that you always have to bring those two morons too. We barely spend any time together any more to the point that we have to hide behind closed locker room doors...," he mumbled something under his breath but he looked away to not face me and I slowly rose a hand so I could brush the hair out of his eyes.
"Walkyia I-," he turned to look over his shoulder with tears glossed over his eyes but he shook his head to shake them away so they wouldn't fall. I stood there in shock as I slowly rose a hand to place it on his cheek, a felt the cold liquid touch my fingertips as he looked up into my eyes. I needed for him to feel safe, I would never hurt him, I loved him for who he was and I would never leave him, all I had to do was to say that with my eyes and he would understand. We have put everything on the line for us to be together, we have fought a war that was going to end with both of our sacrifices no matter what we do. "Who else is there Hoji?," he asked in a small voice, my heart stopped as I pulled my hands off of his face as his glare cut me deep with suspicion.
"No one Walkyia. It is just me and you and you know that, but don't let that stop you from inviting Rantaro," I snapped back and he rose a hand as if he were going to slap me but bit his lip before allowing it to fall to his side. Tears slowly dripped down his chin as he turned away before running past me and out of the door so he wouldn't have to talk to me anymore about this. I stood there in shock as I listened to the door close behind me but I didn't dare move because I felt like I had been frozen in place and his tears were the glue. His bright eyes drenched as he looked up at me, it bugged me so much to watch him cry because it was such a rare event that I wasn't mentally prepared for it. I didn't mean to hurt him but he bit me first, I closed my eyes before slowly walking out of the locker room to see if I could see him anywhere in the hall. He was gone again.
"That could've gone better...," I whispered to myself as I slowly walked down the hall with only the thought of Walkyia on my mind and I had completely forgotten my backpack in the process.
