Their mothers were pregnant at the same time, they were born within a few weeks of each other, and both of their houses are littered with pictures of playdates and graduations and everything in between. And then one day, they just weren't. It's been 8 years since then. 8 years, 2920 days, and 70,080 hours since the two unstuck from one another and, seemingly, never looked back.
