Setting The Wolf Free - Ch 7
So, I felt like writing a bit today....
Not sure how WELL it turned out, but I'm sure you'll all soon tell me if it sucks or not.
Hope you enjoy guys :)
Pic of Keiji the Annoying Butterfly ^-^ --->
Ashley’s POV
I look up at the small building with the brown tiled roof, my head tilted and my hand on my hip.
“It doesn’t look any different at all” I say out loud, smiling slightly as Keiji flits past me and lands on the small flowering bush beside the door.
Looking down, I focus on a small amount of earth beside my ‘Don’t kid yourself, you’re not welcome’ door mat.
Yes. I got it when I first moved here, and I still like it.
Thanks to my Katsuryoku, the ground opens up, creating a small hole.
Bending down, I reach inside the hole and grin, as my fingers touch something cold and metal.
“And it’s still here!” I cry, standing up straight and throwing the small key up and down in my hand. “Awesome!”
Shoving the dirty key into the key hole and turning it, I push my door open, scrunching my nose up at the creaking sound it makes.
I step into the house, waiting for Keiji to enter before I reclose the door and gaze around silently.
To my immediate right is my small, yet cosy, lounge area. I smile at my large dark purple couch, still as covered in Wolf hair as it used to be.
My pack found the couch just as comfortable as I did, and when you’re constantly surrounded by Wolves, you soon get used to finding mountains of hair everywhere.
Taking a run up, I dive onto my couch and roll onto my back, giggling as Keiji dumps himself on top of me.
“Ahhh!” I breathe, folding my hands behind my head. “Just as comfy as I remember!”
I suddenly sneeze, my landing on the couch having blown Wolf hair and huge clouds of dust into the air.
“Ewww!” I complain, leaping to my feet and creating another dust cloud.
I sweat drop, covering my nose and mouth with my hands.
‘Well, it has been awhile’ I think dryly, carefully stepping into my kitchen, not wanting to inhale anymore dust than I have so far, ‘A little dust is to be expected…..’
Keiji follows behind me, looking a little bit dizzy from being caught in all the dust.
It can’t be good for the few brain cells he does possess……
Glancing around my kitchen, I can’t help but pull a face.
With the sun streaming in through the window, I can really see just how much dust has accumulated on my belongings.
It’s quite disgusting actually. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of having my stuff covered with a thick blanket of dust and who knows what else……
Making my way down the small hallway, I gingerly push the door to my old bedroom open.
Peeking inside, I grin. I love my bedroom!
There’s a window that begins about a metre up from the floor, and it takes up nearly the whole wall. I love big windows…
Since it’s such a nice day, the sun is pouring in, making me feel warm………….and highlighting the dust slowly swirling around my room.
Still keeping my hands over my mouth, I run over to the window, kicking up more dust as I wrench the stiff glass up.
I stick my head out of the window, gasping for air and sweat dropping as some random person walks past, giving me a very strange look.
I wave at him sheepishly, before ducking back inside and sighing.
“Cleaning is definitely not how I wanted to spend my first day back” I mutter, crossing my arms and looking around my room thoughtfully. “But it looks like I don’t really have a choice……”
With yet another sigh, I slide my bag down from my shoulders and drop it on the end of my bed.
Glancing up, I see Keiji flying beside my wall, doing something weird.
Raising an eyebrow, I walk over to the strange insect, wanting to know what he’s doing.
“What’s up Keiji?” I ask wryly, pausing as he turns to look at me, hovering beside the words he’d just written in the dust.
‘It’s nice to be home again’ he’d written, making me laugh, shaking my head.
He never ceases to both amuse and surprise me.
“It is nice to be home you crazy butterfly” I agree with a chuckle, pulling my blonde hair back into a ponytail. “But we’ve got work to do!”
Hurrying back into my kitchen, I tie on a frilly yellow apron that I have for some reason………Hmmmm, I don’t even remember owning this thing……..Oh well!
Pulling out a bucket and mop, I hold them up determinedly.
“Dust!” I challenge, fire burning in my eyes. “Cower at the wrath of my mop!........As soon as I fill this bucket, you’ll meet your hot soapy doom!”
I see Keiji sweat drop, as I whirl around and begin filling the mop bucket with hot water.
As soon as the bucket is almost full, I turn off the tap and whirl back around.
“Bedroom first” I decide, since I’ll have to ‘sleep’ there and all.
Keiji follows me back to my room, resting on the bedside table as I dip my mop into the bucket, sloshing water over the side.
“Let’s do this” I growl, before whipping the mop out and furiously swirling it around my floor, collecting all the dust determined to stick there.
For the next hour, I work my way through my whole house, making sure to mop every possible speck of floor.
Seeing my now sparkling floor, I pause, leaning my elbow on the mop handle and releasing a breath.
“Well” I say, wiping an arm across my forehead. “At least the mopping’s do- Whoa!”
I cut myself off, as a powerful gust of air blasts against my back, blowing my hair around my face.
The wind stops after three seconds, allowing me to turn around, blinking in surprise.
“What was that?” I ask myself, before spotting Keiji bobbing up and down in front of the small dusty table I eat at.
Before I can say anything, he begins flapping his wings furiously, blowing all the dust away from the table top with a powerful whirlwind.
“Huh?!” I exclaim, watching Keiji with wide eyes as his short burst of chakra powered wind ceases. “Since when could you do that?!”
Keiji looks over at me innocently, as silent as ever.
I throw my hands on my hips, giving him a suspicious look.
“Oh come on” I scoff. “You can fly faster than I can run, you can cast Genjutsu, you can write and you can create a gale force wind for a few seconds. Yet, for some strange reason, you can’t talk? I think you’re keeping that a secret from me too Keiji! Now speak!”
Keiji flits over to me, before landing on my forehead and making me growl.
“Acting cute isn’t gonna do anyth-”
“I’m not trying to be cute at all” a deep, sinister voice says, making me freeze.
I glance around the room, frantically looking for the owner of the voice.
‘How did I not sense someone sneaking into my house?’ I wonder, feeling slightly panicked.
“Alright!” I call, clenching my fists. “Who’s there?! Who said that?!”
“I did Ashley” the sinister voice sighs. “I’m on your forehead stupid.”
I pause, blinking my eyes a few times.
“K…..Keiji?” I ask hesitantly.
“That’s the name you gave me” the voice chuckles softly, still managing to sound kind of creepy.
“Keiji?!” I exclaim incredulously, my eyes growing wide. “Is that really you?!”
“Yup!” he confirms, his cheerful attitude not matching his sinister voice at all. “Surprised?”
“Hell yeah!” I cry, my shoulders drooping. “You really can talk. Why do you keep secrets from me Keiji?”
“I’m not really talking Ashley” the insect tells me. “I’m using a Genjutsu on you. You’re hearing my voice in your head. If anyone else was here, they wouldn’t be able to hear me.”
I mull this over for a moment, before chuckling softly.
My laughing slowly grows louder, until I’m laughing so hard that I have to hold my stomach.
“What’s so funny?” Keiji questions me, sounding confused.
I wipe my eyes with the back of my hand, still laughing.
“Your voice” I manage to choke out. “It’s hilarious!”
“You don’t like it?” he asks, sounding offended.
I immediately stop laughing, waving my hands back and forth.
“No, no!” I assure him, sweat dropping. “It’s hella sexy Keiji, I swear.”
I just about feel Keiji blanch at that.
“You’re mocking me, aren’t you” he says dryly, making it more of a statement than a question.
I shrug.
“Kind of” I laugh. “But seriously, you’re so cheery and weird, I just don’t think your sinister voice suits you.”
“Sinister?” my small, yellow companion asks wryly.
“It’s the only word I can think of” I explain sheepishly. “You sound more like a stalker watching me from the shadows than a crazy, energetic Ninja butterfly. I’m sure I’ll get used to it though.”
“Nope” Keiji says decisively. “I’m never speaking to you again.”
With that, Keiji darts away from my head and lands on the arm of my couch.
I drop down beside it, giving Keiji my puppy dog eyes.
“No! Please talk to me Keiji” I request pitifully. “I like being able to talk to you! I won’t make fun of you again, I swear!”
Keiji jumps onto my forehead, giving me a fright.
“Don’t worry chika” he says cheerfully in his creepy voice. “I was just messing with ya.”
I sigh, before grinning to myself.
“Cool, I’m glad you’re not gonna ign-”
I freeze, something having just occurred to me.
“What?” Keiji asks. “What’s wrong Ashley?”
“You’ve seen me getting changed before” I growl. “You little perv.”
“You didn’t care about that when you thought I couldn’t talk” Keiji reasons. “Why does it make a difference if I can?”
I pause, his argument making sense to me, but I’m too stubborn to admit it.
“Well……Now I know you’re capable of judging me!” I argue, crossing my arms and glaring at the wall. “You’ve seen me naked, you sick little bastard!”
“Please Ashley” Keiji sighs, and I can practically hear an eye roll. “I’m a butterfly. I couldn’t care any less what you look like without clothes on. I only check out blue, green or purple butterflies. Not human girls.”
I chuckle at that.
“So you admit to perving on girl butterflies?” I ask cheekily.
“Not like they know it” Keiji says smugly. “Their brains don’t work like mine.”
I shake my head, rising to my feet.
“You dog Keiji” I mutter in amusement, taking off my apron. “I’ll never have you figured out at all.”
“Good” Keiji laughs, flapping his wings. “I like surprising you. You react funny.”
“So all this time, you’ve understood every word I’ve said” I muse, crossing my arms again. “Why did you stick with me in the first place?”
“The Land of Waves was getting boring” Keiji explains loftily. “At first I was just flying around you guys, and since I’d never seen you before, I wanted to inspect. I thought the irritated way you reacted to me was funny, so I followed you around for entertainment. I came to like you though, since you seemed okay with talking about your feelings with me. And when I saw how distraught you were when you thought Naruto killed me, I came looking for you. You’d grown on me. And here we are today, still the best of buddies.”
I blink, a smile slowly appearing on my face.
“Best buddies with a butterfly” I sigh jokingly. “How sad.”
“I could say the same” Keiji retorts. “Best friends with a human.”
“Well, I’m glad you stuck around anyway” I say seriously. “I love you little guy…………As much as a girl can love a Ninja butterfly anyway……”
“And I love you, as much a Ninja butterfly can love a weird, Wolf obsessed girl like you” Keiji chuckles.
I suddenly swat my hands at him.
“Okay, okay!” I cry, poking my tongue out at Keiji as he easily avoids my hands. “Enough of this! Let’s go and find Naruto, I’m sick of cleaning and he provides me with entertainment.”
I run over to my bag and rummage around inside it for a few moments, before finding what I’m looking for.
Keiji zooms around in a circle, before darting past me and turning the corner, heading for the door.
I roll my eyes, tying my black Leaf headband around my neck and following after the weird insect.
Honestly. What would he do next?
Third Person’s POV
“Whoa!” Naruto cries, looking past the brown haired boy, eyes landing on the large white creature behind him. “That’s not…..That can’t be…..”
Kiba looks back over his shoulder, cheeky grin plastered on his face.
“What’re you talkin about Naruto?” he laughs, turning back to face the stunned blonde boy. “That’s Akamaru. Who else would it be?”
Naruto blinks, staring at the huge white Dog, remembering how tiny he used to be.
Kiba leans forwards, measuring Naruto’s height against his own.
“Geez Naruto!” he says brightly. “You really grew huh? You’ve almost caught up to me!”
Naruto shakes his head, still staring at Akamaru as his fluffy tail wags happily.
He was happy to see Naruto back too of course.
“That’s nothin” Naruto sighs, sweat dropping. “Compared to Akamaru, I hardly grew at all…..”
Kiba pauses, tilting his head and gazing at Akamaru thoughtfully.
“Really?” he finally asks, before shrugging his shoulders. “I guess I just don’t notice it coz we’re always together. He doesn’t look any different to me.”
“Ruff!” Akamaru barks in a deep voice, shaking himself.
“Well trust me” Naruto argues. “He’s a lot bigger. I mean, he used to ride around on your head! You remember, right Shino?”
Naruto leans back to peer at the Aburame, sweat dropping when he sees a dark cloud hanging over the boy’s head.
“I see you recognised Kiba right away…….” Shino drawls dejectedly. “Didn’t you Naruto?”
Naruto hadn’t immediately recognised Shino as he walked past him, due to his mouth being covered by the high collar of his green jacket, dark sunglasses obscuring his eyes, and the dark green hood covering his head.
Naruto blanches.
‘Great’ he thinks sarcastically. ‘Now he’s mad at me……’
Kiba rolls his eyes, knowing how good Shino is at holding a grudge. The guy still got upset about being left behind during the mission to retrieve Sasuke. And that was almost three years ago now!
Naruto suddenly whirls around, having heard a soft gasp behind him.
Narrowing his eyes, he jogs a few metres down the road, before turning to his left.
“Hinata!” he cries, spotting the pretty Hyuga girl standing with her back against a tall fence.
Her eyes shoot wide open, a deep blush colouring her cheeks.
Hinata had no idea what to say to Naruto. It had been so long, and she didn’t feel ready to try and start a conversation with him yet!
“I thought that was you” Naruto continues obliviously. “What’s up? Why are ya hiding back here?”
Hinata stares at Naruto for a moment longer, before abruptly passing out and falling to the ground.
“H-Hinata?!” Naruto cries, not sure what to do.
“What’s wrong?!” Kiba exclaims, running over and skidding to a halt beside Naruto.
Peering down, Kiba sees his only female teammate lying on the ground and lets out a sigh.
“Aw man” he complains. “Why does she always do stuff like that around you?”
Ashley’s POV
I have to force myself to not skip down the road, as I walk through familiar streets, seeing all the old shops and other buildings I’d grown used to back before I left.
“As much as I love the Land of Ambience” I say to Keiji, as he flits along beside me. Upside down. “I think I’ll always be more at home here. It’s so cosy and inviting.”
Keiji spins in a circle, no doubt recognising the street we’re walking down.
He was getting a bit excited by the looks of things.
He suddenly flips around the right way and darts away from me, zooming towards his favourite place in the Village.
Giggling, I take off after him, being careful not to bump into any of the Villagers as I go.
Sure enough, I find him hovering out the front of the Yamanaka Flower Shop, not sure which of the many flowers he should land on first.
“Keiji?” I address the yellow insect, making him turn around.
“There’s Lavender over there” I inform him, pointing to a small stall sitting at the very front of the shop.
Whirling around, Keiji spots the irresistible plant and dashes inside, diving straight into the small forest of purple flowers.
I roll my eyes, before sticking my head in the door and glancing around.
I see an unfamiliar lady standing at the counter, busy designing some flower display.
I sigh softly and exit the building.
‘Looks like Ino’s not working today’ I think, deciding to leave Keiji behind to have some fun in the flower shop.
Not like they could kick him out after all. He’s just a butterfly.
As far as they know anyway……
“Heyyy…..” a low voice says on my right, making me pause. “That looks just like-”
I look up, my eyes widening as I spot the owner of the voice.
“It is!” the guy cries, a smile lighting up his face. “Ashley!”
“Shika-kun!” I cry, grinning broadly and rushing over to him.
I end up tackle hugging Shikamaru, as he chuckles and manages to stay on his feet. My tackle hugs have been known to result in ending up on the floor, so good on him!
“It’s good to see you again Shika-kun!” I chirp brightly, releasing the Nara and taking a step back.
“And it’s good to see you too” he says with a small smile. “What are you doing back?”
I raise an eyebrow and cross my arms.
“Didn’t want me to huh?” I ask blandly, a teasing look on my face.
Shikamaru blinks, before shaking his head and rubbing the back of his neck.
“Nah, that’s not what I meant” he corrects himself, not freaking out like I’d hoped he would.
Well. That’s no fun now is it?
“I just meant how come you’re back?” Shikamaru continues, looking down at me evenly. “Have you finished with your training or whatever?”
I nod, smiling brightly.
“Yep!” I confirm. “I had enough of training, so I decided to come back home. I gotta say though, it’s weird being back again.”
“Really?” he asks, tilting his head and shoving his hands in his pockets. “How so?”
“Well, the Land of Ambience is pretty different to the Leaf Village” I chuckle, not wanting to tell Shikamaru that I haven’t even been in my homeland for just over a year.
Shikamaru shrugs, grinning down at me.
“I guess” he agrees, before yawning. “Look, I’d love to stay and chat with you, since we haven’t seen each other for ages, but I’ve gotta go. Lady Tsunade’s put me in charge of this year’s Chunin Exams. There’s a lot to do, and it’s a complete drag, but I can’t really say no to her. She’s a scary woman. Even more so than my Mother……”
I can’t help laughing at that.
It seems that Shikamaru’s outlook on both women and life, hadn’t changed at all.
“I understand” I say, shaking my head. “Good luck Shika-kun, see ya later.”
Shikamaru saunters off, waving over his shoulder.
I smile after him, before suddenly face palming.
‘I should have asked him if he’d seen Naruto anywhere!’ I yell at myself internally.
With an over dramatic sigh, I turn on my heel and begin stalking in a random direction, determined to find my stupid, blonde teammate.
“I’ll find him if it’s the last thing I do” I growl under my breath, a few passers by giving me strange looks.
What is it with the people in this village?
I’ve only been back for a few hours, and I’ve now had four people give me weird looks.
Who cares if I talk to myself? I’m a good conversationalist.
With a sigh, I jump easily over a tall wooden fence and land on the ground in a crouched position.
I suddenly pause, hearing a familiar, slightly obnoxious voice.
My face brightens.
Naruto!
I jump to my feet and stroll down the road, before turning around a corner.
Sure enough, there he is.
“Come on! Please?” Naruto asks the person in front of him pleadingly. “Our team’s down a member, so we need somebody!”
I tilt my head, studying the back of the other person.
He’s wearing a black fitted leather jacket, that I honestly wouldn’t mind stealing, with black Capri pants.
He has messy brown hair, and there’s a huge white animal lying on the ground next to him. I can’t tell if it’s a Dog or a Wolf……or maybe it’s a Puma? I’m not sure yet……
“I’m afraid you caught us at a bad time” the brown haired boy says apologetically, his voice making me freeze. “We’ve already been assigned a new mission.”
I stare at the back of the boy’s head, my heart slowly starting to beat faster.
His presence feels kind of familiar to me…..
I glance down at the animal, watching as it licks its large white paw casually, tail wagging.
That couldn’t be………
“As soon as Kurenai Sensei gets here” the boy continues. “We’re outta here!”
“Awww come on!” Naruto whines. “You’ve got Akamaru here! That’s like having an extra teammate! You can spare someone can’t you?!”
I suck in a breath.
‘If that is Akamaru’ I think nervously, eyes flicking back up to the brown haired guy. ‘Then that must mean that he’s……’
“You crazy or somethin?” the brown haired boy asks, shaking his head. “I can’t go you idiot! Akamaru and I have to stick together to use our combo attacks!”
Naruto’s shoulders droop.
“I guess you’re right Kiba” he sighs in defeat, as I somehow manage to hold in a gasp. “Well then, how about….about…….Hey! Ashley-chan!”
I freeze as Naruto spots me and begins waving wildly. I almost feel like a child that’s been caught doing something bad, or a hiding baby deer that has suddenly been flooded in light.
“Hey, hey!” Naruto laughs, gesturing to me crazily. “Guess who Kiba?! Turn around man! Turn around!”
‘Shut up Naruto’ I growl internally, wondering whether I should make a run for it or not.
I take a step back, not sure how Kiba’s going to react to me.
Would he be angry that I’d been gone for so long? Would he cry? Would he act totally nonchalant?
Maybe he’d gotten another girlfriend while I was gone. It would be fair enough I guess, I was gone for quite awhile…..
It’d kill me if he did have a new girlfriend though……
I take another step back, as Kiba slowly turns around.
I can feel his heart beating just as hard as mine. Is he nervous too? Or maybe it’s because he’s angry, or disgusted, or annoyed, or-
My thoughts immediately cease, as he fully turns around, staring at me with wide eyes.
I suck in a breath.
I didn’t think it was possible, but he’d gotten even more attractive than when I left.
Even through his jacket, I could see he’d bulked up a little bit and even gotten a little bit tanner.
The most obvious thing about him though, was the fact that he’d definitely grown taller. He was still taller than Naruto, even though the blonde had done a fair bit of growing himself.
Was I supposed to hug him when he turned around? Would it be okay to hug him? I mean, I hugged Shikamaru, but we were never anything more than friends.
Maybe I should give him a handshake? Or a head nod? Or one of those handshake hug things that a lot of guys do?
Aargh! I don’t know!
Swallowing the uncomfortable lump in my throat, I drag my eyes up to his face.
I feel my face heating up under his incredulous gaze.
His eyes, still as animal like as ever, are frozen on me, almost like Kiba physically can’t tear them away.
Is he really that appalled to see me?
Maybe I should just play it cool, like I haven’t totally missed him and thought about him every day since I left.
“Ashley?” Kiba asks softly, his voice deeper than it used to be.
I feel a shiver run down my spine, as I hesitantly look back into his eyes.
Third Person’s POV
Kiba slowly turns around, not sure if Naruto was just playing a cruel joke on him or not.
If he was, Kiba as definitely going to make the crazy blonde pay for it later.
Kiba feels his heart beating at what feels like a million miles an hour, as he turns all the way around, not really expecting the sight that meets him.
His eyes shoot wide open, seeing the blonde girl standing not twenty metres in front of him.
He recognised her instantly of course. He’d recognise someone as beautiful as her anywhere.
She looked older, which as to be expected, but she was still quite short. Around five foot three if Kiba was guessing correctly.
Though her hair was quite obviously a lot shorter than it used to be, Kiba found that it still looked as soft and shiny as it used to, making him want to run his fingers through it.
Being a teenage boy, Kiba couldn’t help noticing how sexy her new outfit looked on her.
He couldn’t think of any other word for it.
Damn her!
Even with that look of unsureness and panic on her face, she still managed to look both beautiful and hot as hell.
Kiba briefly wonders how she manages to do it, before shaking the thought from his head.
Now was definitely not the time.
‘Why does she look so scared?’ Kiba asks himself, unable to tear his eyes away from the blonde girl. ‘Maybe she’s not scared. Maybe she doesn’t want to see me…..Maybe she’s moved on since back then…..’
“Ashley?” Kiba asks softly, unable to refrain from saying her name.
Kiba sees the girl twitch slightly, an uncomfortable look settling on her face.
He sees her cheeks turn a light shade of red, as she stares back at him, seemingly unable to look away.
She suddenly closes her eyes for a moment, before taking a deep breath and looking back up at Kiba again.
“Hi…….Kiba” she says cautiously.
Ashley’s POV
I mentally face palm.
I was meant to sound casual. Not like I’m afraid he’s going to go off his nut any moment now……
I take another breath, calming myself down before I completely stress myself out.
‘It’s okay’ I tell myself calmly. ‘Try again. You can do this.’
“H-How are you?” I ask in a friendly manner, making Naruto tilt his head and Kiba give me a questioning look.
“How am I?” Kiba repeats, sounding almost amused as he takes a step towards me.
My smile drops, as he takes another step towards me.
“U-Uh….Yes” I say awkwardly, subconsciously taking a step back. “It’s been awhile. How have you been?”
Kiba’s brows furrow as he suddenly strides towards me, making me scamper backwards.
I let out a small squeak, as I feel myself bump into Akamaru, making me look down.
“Ruff!” he greets me cheekily, his voice having gotten a lot deeper and rougher.
“How have I been?” Kiba asks, his warm breath blowing against my cheek.
My head snaps up, my face heating up when I see how close he’s gotten.
He’s leaning down and frowning at me, his head tilted to the side.
Dammit he’s adorable!.........
“Is that not a good question to ask?” I inquire smartly, my voice shaking slightly.
Kiba shakes his head.
“No” he says firmly, before suddenly wrapping his arms around me and lifting me up into a tight hug.
I suck in a breath, surprised by Kiba’s actions.
“I’m sorry if this is inappropriate……” Kiba says softly, closing his eyes and burying his face in my hair. “But I just want one hug. Just one……”
I feel tears slowly filling up my eyes, the feeling of being back in Kiba’s comforting arms like a wave of relief washing over me.
It had been so long, I’d forgotten how warm and safe it felt to be held by him……
“I’ve missed you so much Angel” Kiba whispers, making my tears spill over.
Despite having hated his nickname for me in the beginning, I realise that I’d really missed hearing him call me that…..
Kiba suddenly leans back, looking down at me in alarm.
“I-I’m sorry Ashley!” he apologises hastily, moving to place me back on the ground. “I-It just came out! I didn’t mean to make you cry! I understand if you’ve moved on or whatever. Here, I’ll put you back down and I won’t-”
“D-Don’t you dare put me back down” I growl, interrupting Kiba and making him pause.
“Huh?” he asks, sounding confused.
I look up at Kiba from under my eyelashes, feeling uncharacteristically shy.
Well, he’s super handsome and his face is about seven centimetres away from mine. Who wouldn’t feel shy?
“Please don’t let me go” I request softly. “I didn’t even get to hug you back yet……”
Kiba’s face slowly softens into an affectionate smile.
“Whatever floats your boat” he says casually, pulling me back into a tight hug, chuckling as I throw my arms around his neck and squeeze the hell out of him.
“I’ve missed you too Mutt” I whisper, making him chuckle again, the sound reverberating in his chest.
“And I most certainly have not moved on or whatever” I growl softly, using the same words he had.
“Good to hear” Kiba says happily, leaning back and winking at me. “Neither did I.”
I smirk at Kiba dangerously and flip my hair over my shoulder.
“Good” I say darkly. “Cos I’d have to kill her if you had moved on. Assuming it was a girl of course.”
Kiba’s eyes grow wide, as Naruto bursts out laughing.
“Why would you even suggest otherwise?!” Kiba demands to know, releasing me and crossing his arms.
I shrug one shoulder, and look him up and down suggestively.
“Well, normally it’s the good looking ones who swing the other way” I say cheekily. “Bat for the other team, if you get what I’m saying. Get the girls’ hopes up and then dash them to pieces.”
“Yeah, yeah” Kiba sighs, sweat dropping. “I get it…..”
“I don’t!” Naruto exclaims, looking thoroughly confused.
Kiba and I both blanch.
“Never mind Naruto” I say teasingly. “No one would ever mistake you for batting for the other team anyway.”
Kiba turns his head away, trying to hold his laugh in.
Naruto tilts his head.
“Huh?” he asks, making me sigh.
“Don’t worry your pretty little blonde head about it kay?” I smile pleasantly, patting his arm.
Kiba suddenly elbows me, making me look up.
“Don’t be so sure Angel” he sneers, pointing at Naruto with his thumb. “The squirt’s first kiss was with Sasuke.”
My eyes fly wide open, and Naruto begins shouting abuse at Kiba, obviously not wanting to talk about it.
“I’ve got to hear about that!” I cry, latching on to Kiba’s arm. “Naruto and Sasuke? I never would have guessed it…..”
“He’s lying!” Naruto shouts, tearing at his hair as anime tears run down his face.
“Uh ah” I laugh, shaking my head. “I can sense when people are lying Naruto, and right now, it feels like you are.”
“Ashley-chan…..” Naruto cries, crumpling to the floor as a little rain cloud suddenly appears over his head.
Sorry if that ended too abruptly, but I really don't feel like writing anymore for now. Still pretty down in the dumps lol......
Oh, and by the way, I have a question to ask!
What is it that you think makes Twi and Stwf so popular?????
People keep asking me how to make a successful Fan Fiction, and I never have an answer for them! I honestly DON'T KNOW why my Fan Fics are popular! Please tell me what you think it is, because my theory was 'meh.....just luck I guess....'
Heheh, Keiji is the weirdest thing ever xP But I love him <3
Thanks for reading :)
