Yes I drew it, and yes, I'm sorry if it's terrible >.<

The sun shines brightly, as a cool ocean breeze gently blows, bringing the salty tang of the surrounding sea with it.

Birds chirp and sing merrily in the trees, while the Ambience Villagers bustle around busily, going about their daily routines. A small group of women giggle as they sweep through the early morning market, arms heavy with grocery filled bags, as some young children dodge around their legs. A few small Wolf pups chase after the children, tongues lolling and tails wagging excitedly.

Men with shovels, and other tools slung across their shoulders, nod in greeting to the women, heading in the opposite direction, to the latest construction site in town.

“Morning Eran” one of the men greets, raising his hand in a wave, before disappearing behind some wooden beams.

“Morning!” the black haired man responds, rising from his bent position and releasing a breath, leaning against his shovel and wiping an arm across his sweaty forehead.

His fuchsia eyes scan the area, observing as a few of the late comers set down their tools and begin working. They were currently building some new housing for the Villagers, as it was beginning to get a bit cramped.

The Minami Clan was prospering, with their good land, perfect weather and loyal camaraderie. Life was good in the Land of Ambience, and Eran Minami couldn’t help but smile as his faithful Guardian, Delilah, trotted through the construction site towards him.

“Sorry Eran” the young, pale red Wolf sighs, her one white ear flopping cutely. “One of the guys caught me as I was making my way back over here. Needed a wooden beam lifted up to the second story of a house.”

Eran chuckles, leaning over and ruffling the fur on his Guardian’s head. She snorts and backs away, shaking her head and scrunching up her nose indignantly.

“It’s okay Delilah” Eran smiles, winking at the young Wolf and picking his shovel back up. “Your powers are handy, and I guess everyone knows it.”

Delilah sighs again and sits down, watching as her partner begins shovelling heavy loads of dirt out of the way. A house was going to be built in this spot, and the ground was uneven.

“Yes, but I’d really rather stay here and help you Eran” she mutters, looking over at a free shovel, her emerald eyes beginning to glow. “It’s not fair that you have to move dirt, when there are perfectly good Earth users that could.”

Eran rolls his eyes, looking down at the ground as the shovel suddenly floats up into the air and begins shovelling dirt beside him, as if an invisible man were using it.

“Lilah” Eran reasons, “You know that the Chief has asked the Earth users to help with rebuilding the old stone buildings in the Village. I don’t mind doing this anyway. It’s a good workout!”

Delilah scoffs quietly, contemplating dumping a shovelful of dirt on her partner, abruptly deciding against it when he sends her a knowing look, as if he was expecting her to do so.

Delilah and Eran work side by side for the next few hours, occasionally being interrupted by a few of the other Minami’s and their Guardians also working on the building site.

Eran drops his shovel on the ground and stretches his arms up high, while Delilah flops onto her back, feet kicking in the air.

“It’s so hot” the red Wolf complains, earning a grunt of agreement from the tall man beside her.

“It’s because we’ve been working so hard Lilah” Eran says, taking a drink from his water bottle and wiping some sweat from his eyes. Physical labour was hard, but he quite enjoyed it anyway.

Seeing the pleading look on his Guardian’s face, Eran laughs and pours out some of his water. It swirls up into his hand, forming a small, floating pool just above his palm. As he bends down, Eran holds out his hand, allowing a delighted Delilah to lap up the water thirstily.

She leans back and sighs dreamily, as a cool breeze suddenly blows, billowing through her thick fur and immediately making her feel a lot cooler.

Eran blinks and turns around in confusion, only for a broad grin to break out on his face at the sight of the person standing behind him.

“I thought you could both use a bit of a cool breeze” the person laughs kindly, her long, green hair flowing down her back in graceful waves.

“Mila” Eran greets happily, stepping forwards to give the woman a hug, before suddenly pausing, a thoughtful look on his face.

“What’s wrong?” the young woman asks, making Eran give her a sheepish grin.

“I was going to hug you” he chuckles, rubbing the back on his neck. “But I’m uh, kinda sweaty from working.”

Mila’s nose scrunches up slightly, as a large, shaggy Wolf appears beside her.

“Good call” she sniffs teasingly, absently reaching down and patting the large animal’s head. It shakes the fur from its eyes, looking up and staring at the sky intently.

“Raku!” Delilah barks, bouncing to her feet and gazing at the shaggy brown and white Wolf excitedly.

Raku’s ear flicks in Delilah’s direction, as his chocolate eyes stay focused up on the sky.

“Hello Delilah” he greets in a gravelly voice. “Working hard are you?”

“Always” Delilah chuckles, tilting her head and gazing at her childhood friend with a thoughtful look. “Whatcha starin at?”

“I sense something….strange….” he answers lowly, frowning slightly.

Mila looks away from Eran and pokes Raku in the back of the head, trying to get his attention.

“Something strange?” Eran repeats, picking up his shovel and leaning his arms on it, resting his chin on his hands.

“When you say strange” Mila begins, folding her arms and leaning her back against a tree, “What do you mean?”

Raku slowly shakes his head and sighs.

“I don’t know what it is” he admits lowly. “It’s a very strange source of chakra……But I have no idea what’s causing it. It’s very faint anyway, so it must be quite far away.”

Delilah rolls her eyes and bounds over to Raku, pouncing on him and knocking him to the ground.

“If it’s far away Doofus” she barks playfully, looking down at Raku’s confused face, “Don’t worry about it! You’re so dramatic sometimes! Loosen up!”

“Sorry Delilah” Raku scoffs, smirking up at his friend. “I’m no good at being immature like you.”

What?!” Delilah screeches, feigning being appalled. “Me? Immature?!”

Eran and Mila laughs, as Raku pushes Delilah away and takes off into the trees, the small, red Wolf metres behind him.

“So….” Eran begins awkwardly, bringing Mila’s large fuchsia eyes back to his face. “Are our plans for tonight still a go?”

Mila smiles shyly, nodding her head.

“Of course, I’ll see you at six?” the Wind user questions, tilting her head.

“Sure!” Eran agrees eagerly, looking forward to having dinner with Mila. She was an amazing cook, and after a long day of hard work, he was looking forward to eating as much of her cooking as possible.

“I can’t wait” Mila smiles again, before she sends Eran a cheeky look. “Just make sure you have a shirt on when you get there.”

Eran looks down at his shirtless chest and grins, his head snapping back up to Mila to give her a wink.

“If you’re lucky” he teases, moving to resume his shovelling. “I won’t be wearing a shirt tonight.”

Mila begins laughing as she turns away, a light blush dusting her cheeks. Her boyfriend could be so arrogant sometimes, but she couldn’t help finding it strangely endearing.

“Oh, and if you find Raku and Delilah” Eran calls after Mila. “Can you please send her back here? She’s not getting out of work that easily!”

“That’s much better Eran” Delilah grins, wagging her tail. “You don’t reek anymore!”

Eran rolls his eyes, adjusting the collar of his black shirt and running a hand through his thick hair.

“I can’t help sweating when I work all day in the sun you rat” he replies, swatting at Delilah, who merely laughs and bounds out of the way. “You wouldn’t know what that’s like.”

“I try my best to get out of work” the young Wolf informs her partner, looking quite smug. “And it usually works too.”

“If you weren’t so damn cute, it wouldn’t work” Eran mutters, ushering Delilah out of the door and locking it behind him.

“The burdens we all must bear” Delilah sighs dramatically, trotting beside Eran as they begin the short journey to Mila and Raku’s house.

Delilah sucks in a deep breath, enjoying the evening smells of the salty ocean, the fragrance of flowers and scents of many different dinners cooking. She was starving!

Eran glances up, the sky having been painted into a rainbow of many different oranges, purples and reds. A typical, beautiful evening in the Summer of the Land of Ambience.

Having reached Mila’s house, Eran knocks lightly on the door, as Delilah drools over the delicious smell pouring from the window beside her.

Eran and Delilah almost jump, as the door is ripped open, revealing an unimpressed looking Raku.

“I knew it was the both of you” he mumbles ominously, as Delilah jumps forwards and pushes past him.

“Yeah, coz we organised to be here at six idiot!” she smirks, wagging her tail as she disappears into the kitchen. “Mila! You’re in my favourite spot!”

“Oh?” comes the faint reply. “And where’s that Delilah?”

“In the kitchen!” the young Wolf barks excitedly, making Mila laugh, and Raku and Eran sigh.

“Stop being annoying Delilah!” Eran calls, shutting the door behind him. “Or Mila won’t let you have any of her………whatever she’s cooking!”

Delilah’s head pokes around the side of the door, a horrified look on her face.

“What?!” she whines. “No! I’ll be good! Please don’t make Mila starve me!”

Mila appears in the doorway, laughing and bending down to stroke Delilah’s head reassuringly.

“I wouldn’t do that Lilah” she assures the Wolf, making her sigh with relief. “Eran’s just being unnecessarily nasty again.”

Eran smirks, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow at Mila.

“Funny, but I don’t hear you complaining about it when we-”

“Okay!” Mila cries, blushing bright red and throwing her hands in the air, as Raku and Delilah exchange amused looks. They knew exactly where Eran was going with that one, and so did Mila.

“I think dinner’s ready….” she sighs, glancing back at Eran and pursing her lips. “Although, I’m seriously debating whether to serve you any.”

“You know me baby” he replies teasingly. “The more you starve me, the nastier I’ll get.”

Mila rolls her eyes and disappears back into the kitchen, commanding everyone to “Sit”.

Eran chuckles to himself as he sits down at Mila’s wooden dining table, Delilah leaping into the chair beside him and resting her front paws up on the smooth surface.

“Food!” she barks happily, a closed eye smile on her face. She suddenly glances over her shoulder, looking for Raku.

She spots him sitting beside a window, gazing up into the sky, a hard look on his face.

“Hey Raku?” Delilah asks, tilting her head, wondering why he’s still wanting to stare at the sky.

Raku hears Delilah, but chooses to ignore her. This source of chakra was greatly confusing to him, and it was of growing concern in his mind.

The chakra seemed stronger now, a lot stronger than before, which could only mean that the source was coming closer. It had a strange quality to it as well, and Raku, being able to sense chakra, found it quite disturbing.

If possible, the young Wolf found it quite…….ominous. Something not quite right about it…..

“Raku!” Delilah barks again, annoyed that her friend is so blatantly ignoring her. “Get over here and stop being so weird!”

Eran glances over at Raku, confused by the Wolf’s actions, or lack of. Though rather quiet, Raku wasn’t one to completely ignore Delilah. They were the best of friends, and something was obviously distracting the shaggy Wolf if he was ignoring Delilah. Whatever it was, Eran assumed it was quite important to Raku.

“Dinner time!” Mila announces merrily, walking towards the table with a large dish in her hands. Delilah immediately swivels around in her chair, tongue hanging out at the sight of the dish.

“YAY!” she howls, before pausing. “What is it Mila?”

The green haired woman sets the dish down on the table and slides into her seat across from Eran, before smiling at the red Wolf.

“It’s called a Red Wine Casserole Delilah” she explains, before glancing around for her Guardian. “Her, where’s Ra-”

Mila pauses, sighing softly when she spots her brown and white Guardian staring out of the window again.

“Raku, please just forget about it for now and eat something” she asks pleadingly, causing Eran to give her a suspicious look.

“What’s up with him anyway?” the black haired man asks, making Mila run a hand through her hair and shake her head.

“I don’t know” she mutters, picking up her fork. “He’s been just sitting there staring at the sky all day. He’s obsessed with figuring out what this mysterious chakra he’s sensing is.”

Raku internally rolls his eyes, hearing the tone Mila uses as she explains his behaviour to Eran.

She didn’t think much of this strange chakra, and obviously neither did Eran or Delilah, but Raku knew. He just knew there was something strange, if not scary about this source of chakra. It didn’t feel like anything he’d ever sensed before, and he was beginning to panic a little on the inside, his feeling of panic growing every time he realised the source of chakra was closer than before.

What could it be? And was it of any danger to the Village and his Mila?

“Ah, just forget him” Delilah snorts, licking her lips. “More for us!”

Mila sighs, dragging her concerned gaze away from Raku when Eran reaches across the table and gently grabs her hand.

He sends her an affectionate smile, making her blush and smile down into her bowl. Though they’d been together for almost a year now, Eran was still somehow able to make the young woman feel shy.

Eran releases Mila’s hand and digs into his own food, eyes brightening when he tastes how amazing Mila’s Casserole is.

“This is great!” he compliments, pleasing Mila immensely. She loved cooking for Eran, and whenever he praised her cooking, she’d feel as if it was a job well done.

Everyone pauses, as Raku suddenly begins growling, teeth bared up at the sky.

It was coming closer, and at a much faster pace now. Raku didn’t like the feeling he was getting from this ominous chakra, and he couldn’t stop himself from growling at it.

“Raku…..” Mila says softly, putting her fork down and giving her Guardian a concerned look. She’d never seen him act so agitated before, and it was beginning to make her heart flutter with nervousness. His natural ability to sense chakra had never been wrong before, so he had to be onto something now as well……

Eran frowns as Raku climbs to his feet, his growling picking up in volume. As he opens his mouth to say something, a piercing howl echoes faintly through the air, sounding quite far away from Mila’s house.

Delilah’s ears prick up, as Mila and Eran exchange confused look with each other.

“That was Uncle Doltan……” Delilah says quietly, referring to Raku’s Father, who had the ability to sense chakra as well as his son.

Raku’s eyes widen at his Father’s howl, before he sees a black speck appear in the sky, bringing with it the ominous chakra. Raku fidgets uncomfortably, the feeling of this strange chakra beginning to make him feel quite suffocated.

Mila jumps as Raku suddenly begins barking viciously at the window, snarling and baring his teeth at the sky.

“Raku!” Eran shouts over the barking. “Calm down!”

Doltan’s warning howl rings out through the evening sky again, this time followed by a few shouts from outside.

Delilah leaps down from her chair and dashes over to the window to see what all the fuss is about. Her eyes widen at the sight of the large meteor hurtling towards the Village, a loud gasp escaping her mouth.

“M-M-Meteor!” she shrieks, making Eran and Mila’s eyes widen. They scramble over to another window, Eran grabbing Mila in his arms as she gasps in fright as well.

Through the window, they watch as people pour into the streets, staring at the flaming rock with awe. They’d never seen such a thing before, the sky turning an ominous black colour as the bright red and orange flames flicker and flash, trailing behind the huge chunk of rock as it shoots through the sky.

“Come on!” Eran instructs, dragging Mila to the door and wrenching it open, Raku and Delilah quickly following behind as they dash outside.

They stick close together, not wanting to get separated in the rapidly thickening crowd of curious and awestruck onlookers.

“Hey!” Eran calls, addressing a tall, brown haired man as he jogs by. “Has anyone asked the Chief what to do about the meteor?”

The man briefly pauses, before nodding his head, a grim look on his face.

“Yeah” he confirms, starting to slowly edge backwards, not liking the look of the meteor. “The Chief has summoned a whole group of Earth and Wind users to try and slow the thing down. Dunno if it’s actually gonna work though!”

With that, the man turns around and hurriedly strides away, heading to his house and his family.

“Can they really stop something of that size?” Mila asks, clinging to Eran fearfully, as a whimpering Delilah drapes herself around Eran’s legs.

Raku continues barking up at the Meteor, narrowing his chocolate eyes angrily. He knew that it was no ordinary meteor. Though never having seen one before, he had no doubt that they didn’t usually carry chakra inside of them. Especially not chakra that powerful.

People begin screaming and running in all directions, not sure where to run so they’ll be safe from the flaming meteor. It was heading straight for them, and they could now hear the burning flames, sizzling and roaring in the blackened sky above.

Eran narrows his eyes at the meteor and hugs Mila tightly, as it passes swiftly overhead, the heat from the fire above burning his back. It roars ferociously as it soars above the Village, the thunderous sound pounding against the Villagers’ eardrums, and making a few people throw their hands over their ears.

Delilah covers her ears with her paws, whining softly and scrunching her eyes closed, as Raku suddenly turns on his heels and takes off running after the meteor.

“R-RAKU!” Mila cries helplessly, having seen her precious Guardian run away from her. “Eran! We have to go after Raku!”

Eran inwardly curses the Wolf, before he releases Mila and grabs her hand. Tugging her forwards, they run after Raku and the meteor, with a hesitant Delilah not too far behind.

A small crowd of Minami’s and their Guardians also run after them, wanting to see the meteor and where it will land.

Everyone screams, as the ground suddenly begins violently shaking, causing majority of people, including Eran and Mila, to fall down. A thunderous boom is heard as the meteor touches down, scraping and sliding to a slow stop on top of the very construction sight Eran had earlier been working on.

A few buildings begin crumbling from the violent shaking, sending bits of debris tumbling to the ground below.

Delilah leaps to her feet as a few ceramic tiles slide free from a roof and hurtle down towards Eran and Mila. Her eyes begin glowing, before the tiles suddenly come to a stop, floating in mid air above her partner’s head.

Tossing them aside, Delilah runs up to Eran and pokes him with her nose.

“Come on Eran” she whimpers. “We’ve gotta find Raku!”

Nodding his head determinedly, Eran hauls himself to his feet, before gently helping Mila up as well. The green haired woman wipes her teary eyes, worried for her Guardian’s safety, and feeling afraid of what she’ll find when they reach the meteor.

Running forwards with the rest of the crowd, Mila and Eran quickly reach the construction site, before three large Wolves leap in front of the crowd, blocking them from getting any closer.

“Please Villagers” one of them addresses in a deep voice. “Chief Shiran has requested that you stay back from the meteor until the flames have been doused, and the Earth users have investigated and deemed the site safe.”

Mila’s grip on Eran’s hand tightens, her eyes frantically searching the destroyed construction site for any sign of her beloved Guardian.

Eran on the other hand, stares ahead of him with wide, unbelieving eyes. The meteor, at least thirty metres high, has created a deep crater in the earth, having completely obliterated all of the hard work he and his fellow workers had done. The work site, which used to be completely flat ground, is now a good fifteen metres down below Eran, resembling a sort of valley.

Glancing around, Eran can see tiny bits of debris scattered around, a few pieces of splintered wood burning and smouldering.

Delilah stares at the huge, blackened meteor with wide, fear filled eyes. She watches as a group of about twelve Water and ten Earth specialists slide down into the newly created valley, approaching the still burning meteor cautiously.

As the ten Earth specialists use their Katsuryoku’s to determine if the ground is stable, the Water users wave their arms gracefully, pulling water from the nearby ocean into the air, and skilfully pouring it over the large, burning rock.

A loud sizzling fills the air, a huge cloud of steam swiftly rising as the burning meteor cools and rapidly drops in temperature.

“I still can’t see Raku…..” Mila whispers tearfully, watching the scene before her through blurry eyes. She was fearing for her Wolf, as she knew he’d run after the meteor, no doubt hoping to finally figure out what was causing the strange chakra source.

“Mila” Eran whispers, suddenly stiffening. “People live down there.”

Mila’s eyes widen, as she wrenches around and glances up at a frozen Eran.

“What?” she asks softly, not wanting to believe what he’s trying to tell her. Eran slowly shakes his head, eyes dropping to his feet.

“People live down near the construction site” he explains lowly, running a hand through his hair. “At least two hundred people lived around it……”

“They’ll have been wiped out” Delilah cries, dropping to the ground and resting her head on her shaking paws. Some of her Guardian friends had lived down in the newly created valley.

“The Chief’s granddaughter lived down there” Eran sighs, shaking his head slowly, as other members of the crowd begin whispering, mirroring Eran’s worry for the inhabitants living in the meteor’s destructive wake. “With her family……”

“Oh no….” Mila breathes, a tear running down her cheek.

With the flames finally doused, the Water users quickly retreat from the area, only for a man and two Wolves to slide down towards the meteor, making Mila’s eyes widen again.

“Raku!” she cries, leaping forwards, only to be stopped by one of the three large Wolves.

“Please Miss” he asks softly, his red eyes narrowing at her. “You need to stay back here, where it’s safe.”

“But that’s my Guardian down there!” Mila informs the Wolf hysterically, tears leaking from her eyes, both from fear and relief at seeing her Guardian alive.

Raku, having heard Mila’s voice, casts a quick glance up at her, before sighing and continuing towards the meteor.

He pulls a face at the huge rock, not at all liking the strange aura radiating from it. It almost didn’t feel natural to him. Now that he was up so close to it, Raku felt like he was suffocating, like it was pushing hard against his chest.

“You can sense it too Son?” Doltan asks in his deep voice, casting his chocolate eyes down from the meteor and focusing on the young Wolf beside him. “The anger and malevolence?”

Raku nods, wrinkling his nose and glaring at the meteor suspiciously.

“Yes Father” he replies lowly. “I’ve been sensing it all day, but it’s much worse up close…”

“Doltan, Raku” Chief Shiran addressed, walking beside the two Wolves. “What is this thing?”

Both animals shake there heads, unable to give the tall man an answer.

“I’m not sure Shiran” Doltan sighs, flicking his heavy brown fringe from his eyes. “I’ve never sensed anything like it before.”

“Me either Sir” Raku admits with a soft growl of annoyance. Chief Shiran sighs softly, running a hand through his dark tresses and casting a look up to the worried onlookers on the small cliff above.

He had no doubt many of them had been related to the people that lived down in this part of the Village, and he knew that there were going to be a lot of broken hearts, once the shock had faded a  little bit. His own heart was already breaking, at the inevitable loss of his daughter, but for now, the Chief had a job to do.

“Anything?” Chief Shiran asks, addressing the perplexed looking Earth users as they focus their Katsuryoku’s onto the meteor, trying to determine what could possibly be inside it to be giving off such a powerful chakra.

“No, I’m sorry Chief” one of the women sighs, closing her eyes momentarily. “None of us can sense anything inside the rock, and since we don’t hone the use of our chakra, we wouldn’t have a hope of sensing the chakra if we tried. These two Wolves are the only two who can sense it I’m afraid…..”

“And they have no clue what it could be……” the Chief sighs, holding the bridge of his nose and releasing a low breath.

Raku looks down at the ground, frustrated that he can be of no real help, when his Father speaks up.

“Shiran” the older Wolf begins, making his partner glance up. “Since we are now Allies with the Village Hidden in the Leaves, why not send them a request for aid? Perhaps they, with their Shinobi skills, will be able to aid us in determining what this could be?”

Chief Shiran’s eyes light up slightly at the idea, happy that his Guardian had come up with a way of figuring the mystery out.

If there was indeed something dark inside of the meteor, Chief Shiran had no doubt, that with the aid of some Shinobi, they’d be able to take care of the problem easily. And if it really was just an average meteor, the men and women that had specialised their Katsuryoku’s in Earth control would be able to move it into the ocean and out of the way.

“That is a wonderful idea Doltan” Shiran smiles tightly, glancing up as a distressed Mila shoves past the large Wolves and slides down the steep wall towards her Guardian.

Raku turns and runs towards her, the two crashing into each other in a fierce hug, with Eran and Delilah trailing behind them.

“Don’t Eran!” Delilah admonishes, smacking his outstretched hand away with her paw. He gives her a childish glare, pouting as he rubs his hand.

“She’s right Eran” Raku sighs, sniffing the meteor and wrinkling his nose in distaste. “You don’t know what could be in there.”

Eran rolls his eyes and shakes his head at their unnecessary caution. The meteor had been sitting there for the past six days now, and Eran was absolutely fascinated by it. It was supposed to be a restricted area, but Eran had finally managed to sneak down into ‘Meteor Valley’ as it had been appropriately nicknamed for the time being. It seemed that the people in charge of securing the area had gone for lunch, or merely trusted the still fear filled Villagers enough to not come near the meteor.

Eran smirks to himself. How wrong they were if they thought like that. Not that Eran was a trouble maker, but he just wanted a close up look at the blackened space rock. Delilah hadn’t needed much convincing, happy to stick by her partner, while Raku pretty much had to be dragged along.

Mila was asleep at home, and Delilah had wanted her best friend to come with her, so against his better judgement, Raku had begrudgingly decided to tag along, for Delilah’s sake.

“What’s touching a rock gonna do?” Eran asks smartly, crossing his arms and gazing at the huge rock with a raised eyebrow. “It’s a rock. I’ve touched rocks before.”

Delilah pulls a face at Eran, her white ear flopping cutely as she shakes her head.

“You’ve never touched a space rock before though Eran” she says wisely. “And you’ve definitely never touched a rock that has weird chakra coming from it. Speaking of which, can you still sense it Raku?”

“Of course” the shaggy Wolf snorts, sitting back on his haunches. “It’s hideous. Why do you think I’m sitting all the way over here?”

Eran tilts his head, fuchsia eyes flicking back to the wall of black rock beside him.

“I kinda get what you mean Raku” he says slowly, turning to face the rock and staring at it intently. If he really focused, Eran could swear he heard a voice. A very faint, very deep voice……Talking to him maybe?

“I can sort of feel this weird…….power emanating from it” the dark haired man continues, leaning into the rock and narrowing his eyes.

Release……Me………………Free…………Freedom………

Eran blinks and shakes his head. Was he hearing things?

“It’s……really strong” Eran continues, his hand slowly reaching out for the rock. “It doesn’t feel normal.”

Raku nods, shaking some fur from his chocolate eyes.

“Exactly, so don’t touch it, just in case” Raku growls, eyes flicking up to the Minami man. His eyes widen, at the same time as Delilah barks at Eran scoldingly.

Eran ignores her, transfixed on the rock, as his fingers brush against the rough surface of the meteor.

It was strange, despite having been sitting here for almost a week, the rock still felt quite warm, as if it were alive.

“ERAN!” Delilah screeches, bounding over to her partner and glaring at him. “We said don’t touch it!”

Eran chuckles at the angry look on her face, resting his palm against the black rock and winking at her.

“It’s okay Delilah” he assures the pale red Wolf. “I’m touching it, and nothing has hap-”

Eran suddenly cuts himself off, feeling the heat inside the meteor rapidly increases in temperature. Steam begins rising from Eran’s hand, making Delilah suck in a breath.

“Eran?” she asks unsurely, watching as Eran stares at his hand with wide eyes. Raku’s eyes widen as well, as he senses a huge surge in the meteor’s chakra, sending out powerful waves of an ominous, terrifying chakra.

Delilah leaps backwards, as tendrils of black aura begin sprouting from the meteor, whipping around in the air wildly.

“Eran!” she barks, eyes filling with tears as her partner merely stands frozen in place, tilting his head back to look at the tendrils.

“Get back Delilah!” Raku suddenly shouts, just as the tendrils swiftly reach down to Eran and wrap themselves around his wrist and neck, a slight choking sound escaping his mouth.

“No!” Delilah shrieks, lips pulling back into a snarl. “Get away from my Eran!”

Delilah’s eyes begin glowing, as she tries to telekinetically rip the tendrils away from her partner.

Raku leaps to his feet and races towards Delilah, as he feels the weird chakra shift, feeling angry and dangerous now.

As Raku calls out Delilah’s name, numerous shadowy tendrils shoot out towards her, catching the small Wolf by the neck and ankles.

She yelps in pain, before she is suddenly jerked into the air and swung around vigorously.

“D-Delilah!” Raku howls in a panic, turning to look at Eran, who has fallen to his knees, hand still flat against the rock.

He groans in pain, as a powerful shadow envelopes his arm, the huge surge of chakra forcing its way into his body.

Eran?!” Raku exclaims, watching the chakra flow like water, a dark shadow spreading over Eran’s whole body.

A high pitched yip catches Raku’s attention, making him look up, just in time to see one of Delilah’s legs get snapped in half, before she is furiously tossed at the ground.

Raku runs after her as she slides along the ground, eventually coming to a stop, eyes tightly closed as she breathes heavily, having almost been choked to death.

Raku looks up from his friend, a scream of pain erupting from Eran’s mouth as he winds his fingers into his hair, pulling it roughly. Raku watches through wide eyes as the shadow encasing Eran’s body begins to bubble, a shape he can only describe as a tail forming behind the young man.

“Eran?” Raku asks softly, wanting nothing more than to run and get the Chief. He wouldn’t though, if only to keep Delilah safe from whatever it was that Eran was becoming.

Eran slams his hands down onto the ground, large claws sprouting from his finger tips, his already sharp Minami teeth growing into vicious looking fans.

“Eran!” Raku calls desperately, catching the man’s attention. His head snaps up, just as two more tail-like shapes form behind him.

A low, spine tingling growl escapes from his lips, as Raku freezes at the sight of Eran’s glowing, blood red eyes.

Free…..” Eran mutters in a low, gravelly voice, a dark smirk crawling onto his face. “Finally free…….”

Delilah whines softly, before slowly lifting her head, her emerald eyes fluttering open, only for the young Wolf to suck in a breath at the sight of her partner.

“Eran?” she whispers, flinching when a deep, booming laugh escapes from his lips. Eran glances around, the tails behind him flickering around lazily.

How long I’ve waited to be free from my lunar prison……” Eran murmurs, more speaking to himself than anyone. “How would you feel Sage? Knowing that the Beast you thought you’d taken care of by sending him to the Moon, is back on Earth……This…….This will be fun……

“Wh-what are you saying Eran?” Delilah asks softly, rising painfully to her feet and leaning against Raku for support.

Eran’s neck wrenches around, red eyes landing on Delilah. His smirk widens, making Delilah shiver. Even without the ability to sense chakra, Delilah could feel the dark, evil energy radiating from her partner.

Eran isn’t here right now little pup” Eran chuckles nastily. “I have taken over his body, and there’s nothing you can do about it! Hahahahaha!

Raku and Delilah watch, as two more tails bubble and form behind Eran, the chakra coating his body concentrating itself into a more solid form. Eran’s face disappears behind the thick coating of black chakra, his features no longer visible as the chakra takes on a more animalistic form.

“H-He looks like….some s-sort of Wolf” Delilah whispers fearfully, watching as Eran tilts his head back, mouth opening wide.

“A Demon” Raku suddenly says, eyes narrowing at Eran. “It was a Demon inside of the meteor.”

“A Demon?!” Delilah cries, ears falling back fearfully. “You mean…..E-Eran’s possessed by a….by a D-Demon?”

Raku nods solemnly, watching as a dark ball begins forming above Eran’s open mouth, a heavy concentration of chakra pouring into the small sphere.

“I’ve heard stories from the older Guardians” Raku murmurs, sitting back and accepting that he can’t do anything to defeat the possessed Eran. “A man, known as the Sage of Six Paths, defeated a powerful Demon and split its chakra into nine parts, creating nine powerful Demons. I don’t know the whole story, or all of the specific details, but this could be one of those Demons.”

Delilah blinks, before turning and gazing at her partner through sad eyes.

“Eran” she whispers, tears forming in her eyes as the Demon snaps its jaws shut over the tiny ball of chakra, swallowing it. “I’m sorry that we couldn’t save you from this creature……I should have been a better Guardian……”

The Demon’s head snaps down, glaring at Delilah and Raku through glowing, pupil-less eyes, before opening its gaping jaws.

Raku rests his head on top of Delilah’s as a powerful ball of crackling, super concentrated chakra is shot from the Demon’s mouth, shooting towards the two Wolves at an incredible speed.

“We have received word from Hashirama Senju Chief” a man with long, blonde hair informs Shiran, bowing his head. “He has informed us that he dispatched a four man squad of some of the Leaf’s best Shinobi six days ago.”

“Wonderful” the Chief sighs, folding his hands in front of his mouth and leaning his elbows on his desk. He just wanted that wretched meteor gone, so they could begin to rebuild and recover any bodies. They would be holding a Village wide funeral as soon as all the bodies were found.

“Chief, we also just received word from the dispatched team of Leaf Shinobi via Messenger Hawk” the blonde man continues, lifting his head. “It would seem that fate has been kind to them, and the weather on their journey has been ideal. They should be arriving earlier than expected, in three or four days at the most.”

Chief Shiran cracks a tiny smile, happy that at least one positive thing was happening.

“Excellent” Shiran replies, leaning back in his chair. “We must begin making preparations for our Allies’ arriva-”

Chief Shiran is interrupted by a resounding boom, the blast managing to send a powerful shockwave through the air, making the Chief’s Tower tremble violently.

“What on earth was that?!” the blonde man cries, running for a window. He sucks in a sharp breath, making the Chief’s brow crease with worry.

“Shiran!” Doltan barks, bursting into the Chief’s office, eyes wide. “Shiran, there was a huge explosion down in the Meteor Valley!”

Chief Shiran flies out of his seat, throwing himself at a window and gasping in disbelief when he sees smoke rising from the valley, small flames flickering faintly in the distance.

“We must get down there now!” the Chief orders, turning to face the men in his office. “Send out some men to keep the Villagers back! We don’t know what has happened, but we don’t need anyone else getting hurt! Go!”

“Yes sir!” the small crowd of men chorus, before marching out of the room to fulfil their orders.

“Doltan” the Chief addresses, his eyes filled with concern. “We’ll go as well.”

“Of course” the large Wolf agrees, pausing to glance out of the window. “I don’t have a good feeling about this……”
