Apologetic Cookbooks

Orochimaru continued to sit outside and simply waited for Kabul to wake up. He couldn't fall asleep. He was wide awake and his brain was running wild. Kabuto woke up despite not wanting to and rubbed his eyes before staring blankly at the ceiling. He didn't want to get up or see Orochimaru. Meanwhile, the other man was trying to figure out something nice he could do. He had thought of something finally but doubted it would make things any better. He quickly ran off to the kitchen and began looking through some of Kabuto's recipe books. He found a breakfast one that Kabuto seemed fond of and began following the instructions carefully. He wanted to make sure the dish was perfect; he was thankful for the step by step guide, seeing as he had little experience with cooking and never really did well at it.
Kabuto was still laying in bed, staring at the ceiling. He rolled under the covers again and covered his head.
When the dish was finally done, Orochimaru took a tiny bite to check the taste before plating it. It was pretty tasty, if he did say so himself. He then plated it and knocked on the silver haired man's door excitedly. He was nervous but he had forgotten his sadness, it was replaced with giddy anticipation.
Kabuto, however, had not forgotten his previous feelings and grumbled a loud "Go away!" And buried himself even deeper under his covers. Orochimaru frowned and his stomach knotted. He still entered the room though and did so gently. "Kabuto... I-I... I made you breakfast..." He told him with furrowed brows and a small smile. His voice was quiet and somewhat sheepish.
It was a long time before Kabuto finally uncovered his head and sat up. He looked at Orochimaru who still had the same smile on his face from before. He laughed and raised an eyebrow. "You made food... are you sure it's even edible?"
Orochimaru nodded quickly. "I tasted it first. I... think it's tasty....at least." He dropped off a bit at the end and looked down at his feet. What was the use? He couldn't make Kabuto stop hating him. Oh well, at least he was good for laughing at. Kabuto still took the food and smelled it, raised an eyebrow again before taking a bite. He smiled and blinked wildly. "Wow, well done, I'm impressed." He grinned. Orochimaru' seres brightened and he smiled back. "Th-Thank you... m-may I hug you?" Kabuto thought for a moment before sighing. "Okay, I guess so." He replied quietly. Orochimaru gently hugged him and whispered quietly. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." His tears began to swell up again before he was now sobbing. "I am so, so, sorry...I really never meant to hurt you... I... I... I love you... please... forgive me.... I understand if you can't now but.... please. Someday...." He trailed off and just continued to cry. Kabuto wasn't sure how to feel. It was sweet of him but he wasn't ready to just forgive him and move on just yet.
