Sky's pov

I sat on the thrown awaiting to greet whoever my new servant was. It's been 3 years since that war. I'm now 20. I wasn't the happiest person though. For today is Ty's birthday, he would have been 19, but he'll never be able to hear happy birthday from anyone. "Send the new servant to my room. I'm going to be laying down." I said and one of my guards, Mitch, nodded. I got up and walked to my room, slamming the door behind me. I lay down on my bed and sobbed into my pillow. Just the thought of poor Ty made me want to ball my eyes out. I heard a knock on the door. "Come in." I said wiping my eyes and hiding the sorrow in my voice. They opened the door and I gasped, then I let the tears fall. But these tears weren't tears of sadness but tears of joy. I rushed up and hugged him tightly.

Ty's pov

I walked into the castle, it was my birthday today, probably going to be the best one of my life. One of the guards saw me and smiled. "You must be the king's new servant. I'm Mitch, the king is in his room, which is just that way." Mitch said pointing towards a hallway that lead to one huge door.

"Thanks you sir." I said and began to walk towards his room. I got to the door and stopped. Is he crying? I thought hearing the muffled sobs. I knocked on the door.

"Come in." I heard him say. I walked in and when he saw me he gasped and began to cry once again. He rushed up and hugged me tightly. "I thought you were dead." Sky said.

"No, I'm fine. And now we can be together, without separation." I said smiling at him. We separated from the hug and I realized I had his amulet on. I took it off and held it out to him.

"No, you keep it." He said taking it and hang it around my neck. He smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Then you can keep my headphones." I said. He nodded an ok, and then sat on his bed and sighed.

"Come sit down next to me." He said patting the bed. I sat next to him and his smile grew wider as he wrapped his arm around my waist. I snuggled up to him and smiled. "Where have you been these past 3 years?" He asked suddenly.

"I was living with another relative of mine, I had to stay there cause they thought it was too dangerous to go back to the town." I said.

"I see. Happy 19th birthday Ty." He said. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Thank you Sky, you're the first one who has said that to me." I said. Sky nodded and got up, walking to the window and looking out of it. I looked at him. He had dark brown hair, it matched my hair color, and his eyes were hidden behind his sunglasses so I couldn't see the color of them. "Sky. Can I see your eyes?" I asked. He looked at me and nodded, taking the sunglasses off. His eyes were a bright golden color, the gold color matched my amulet. "They're beautiful." I said and he blushed a little bit.

"My parents always wanted me to hide them, thinking that it would be better if the kingdom not find out." He said. I looked at him for a second.

"I'll be right back." I said, walking into the bathroom. I then took my contacts out. I wore them because they made my eyes look like a natural green when they really were red. I threw the contacts away and walked out. He looked at my eyes and smiles.

"Why were you hiding yours?" He asked.

"I hid them because it would just make the townspeople make more fun of me." I said, frowning. He walked up to me and gave me a quick hug.

"I'll make sure that never happens again." He said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said and he nodded.
