Sitting around the table the group stared at the ball.

" maybe you need to get your eyes checked out, get close" Mahuri instructs " don't you see little Kuro rolling around inside"

The guys lean in close " there's nothing in there" misono mutters, Tetsu poking at it.

"Hey. Stop tapping hot springs guy. I'm a delicate ball. You should be Handling me with care! " Kuro murmured " plus it's annoying..."

"Listen! He's talking now!!" Mahuri exclaimed

"I don't hear anything" Tetsu replied, while mahuri looked at them confused

"You may be able to see him, but to us this is a solid black ball, at least you can still talk to him "Misono says

Tetsu stands outside while holding a saw with the ball in front of him

" here's an idea, we just break the weird ball so mr sloth lie around and complain in full size again" Tetsu says pulling up his sleeves.

"Tetsu we have to be super careful about it, we don't know what this thing is!!"

Mahuri says, applying caution to the situation . "Sure thing" he muttered before resting the blade on the ball.

Kuro's eyes widened " Kuro tell us if it hurts!" Mahuri says " the vampire he began freaking out. "We haven't done anything yet!" He exclaimed.

"Alright get ready!" Tetsu exclaimed.

"No! Tetsu wait!" Mahiru exclaimed.

"This isn't the right, it's not how we should be going about getting Kuro back" he stated

" aww are you sure?..."

"This is my responsibility, I'll get him out!" Mahiru says while holding the saw " just sit back and watch Kuro!"

" wow, I can't believe you couldn't even break the damn thing" Tetsu huffed while looking at the ball with the scattered tools over the table, the dani thing was impenetrable

" yeah..." mahuri sighs with toto on his shoulder and phoe phoe in tetsu" do you think we're going about this the wrong way?" He asked while rubbing his head

"Tetsu, You have some visitors waiting for you in the lobby!" One of tetsu's relative called from inside

Kranz, minene and moon with Gill were with Misono, lily, and Hugh. "It's about Licht, he's gone missing...." he says upset.

Mahuri bowed as kranz fainted but was caught by gil and nuzzled by moon who whined

"I'm so sorry! I tried to save him.... But Couldnt stop them from kidnapping him...Yuno got taken too...fact they actually protected me..."

Minene clenched her fist

"They have lawless too... This Tsubaki must be one immensely strong vampire..I'm glad to see that your still safe a least" Kranz smiled " but I should have done more!" Mahuri bowed again

"You know maybe this is a good thing, being held captive may calm those two down a little bit, they've been getting far too out of hand lately!" Kranz tried to lighten the mood

" don't be ridiculous!!" Mahiru exclaimed

" kranz!!!" Minene yelled only to have Kranz laugh

"First things first, we need to hide lilac from tsubaki, I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to pull one over on us. And make off with our hostage" Misono began to plan.

"Hey, Misano. We well let Lila go once we get lawless, licht and Yuno back right?" Mahiru turned to the purple haired boy, while the vampire looked surprised " that's the deal"

"In a perfect world, we can rescue them without giving Up our own hostage, that way we can use lilac as bait, or in future negotiations..." Misono stated

"That's really underhanded, We're getting our friends back, we should hold up our end of the bardgain, otherwise, we're the bad guys" Mahiru stated " plus Yuno would put a spell on you if you said that to her face"

"Fine! Fine! Fine! Your such a stubborn bastard sometimes!" Misono sighed

"Uhm.. m-Mahiru?"

"Huh?"

he turned to Lila and saw him looking at him thankfully. "Thank you. But why are you doing all of this for me? Why are you being so nice?" He muttered

"Because Yuno talked about it, and I feel the same way, it's not like I also want to fight tsubaki, I'd weather solve things peacefully if we can"

"What about you kranz?" Mahiru looked over at the braided man sitting beside me. " are you gonna be okay fighting against vampires With us??"

" oh yes, I have the perfect weapon "Kranz smiled holding up a red and yellow water gun " count me in"

"Uhm.. it's a water gun..." toto sweat dropped.

He turned to Hugh and grabbed his hand "May I see your hand?"

"I guess so" Hugh says curiously as Kranz brought the water gun to his hand.

" see it's not just plain water in here, this is harmless to humans, but against vampires...it's quite toxic "Kranz placed a drop on Hugh's hand and suddenly he fell back in pain

"Hugh!" Mahiru exclaimed

"Oh dear! I had no idea he was a vampire!" Kranz exclaimed shocked

"Seriously?! He's dressed up like a mini Dracula!" Mahiru exclaimed

" it's just holy water, I can use it to knock out any vampires who might attack me" Kranz explained sheepishly

Suddenly Hugh jumped up from Tetsu's lap. "Wah! What the hell were you thinking! I won't forget about this!" Hugh cried throwing a tantrum and kicking his tiny legs

" oh I do apologise, I keep this around for times when lawless gets unreasonable" Kranz explained holding the gun up and then taking out a small bottle of holy water

. "I didn't know stuff like this existed where do you even find it?" Mahiru muttered examining the small clear bottle

. "There's an travelling antique dealer who sells this kind of thing" Kranz shrugged

Mahiru's eyes widened "Antique dealer?"

"Yes, he's a peculiar little fellow.."

The group look on the computer of the website, and what was the digest thing that the boy identified was definitely Him?

The doll he always carried was pictured on the screen " you know this guy?" Tetsu asked " it's got to be him" mahuri murmured

"I guess I'll stop by his shop and see what he has" he gets up, misono had a flash back moment, as mahuri stood up, of someone he knew when he left the mansion " that man is bad news" he stated

" why do you-?" Mahuri asked

" he just is alright?! Don't trust him!"
Misono yelled

" but-"

" now now misono, it's not like we have much of a choice a time like this" Lily says trying to calm him down

' plus...I might be able to get him and the SerVamp of envy to help us out if I'm lucky...

Mahiru puts on his jacket " misono, tetsu you guys be careful okay?" He says with toto on his shoulder and teto in his pocket

" again, I'm really sorry about licht..." mahiru says to kranz and minene " I wish I could have helped, I was really impressed by how talented he is at being the Eve of greed" he frowned

"Licht would hate to hear you say that" kranz chuckled " he doesn't believe in talent" minene chuckled while Mahiru looked confused

" let me tell you about him, licht grew up in the countryside of Vienna, a pretty normal child who liked climbing trees. He was a curious boy, he chose to play the piano completely on his own. Day after day, he sat at the bench practicing, imagining the a grand audience weeping in response to his music. He says to the boy, who sweat dropped " that's what you like about him right minene?" He turned to the girl who went red and turned away " shut up!"

On the train

' hope this place is easy to find' Mahiru thinks he sat there bored and impatiently, and toto was sleeping

" I...I feel...weaker...." he pants " it's Yuno...."

Suddenly to his side caught the glance of a black fox sitting next to him

" A fox! What the hell?!" Mahiru yelled.

"What a tease, I was hoping to catch my subclass alone with you~?" The fox spoke and Mahiru instantly knew it "I know that voice!"

He turns into a weird black blob before exploding "Kuro toto hide!" Mahuri shielded them, the explosion would have hurt them, but it was like something protected them

Mahiru skids to a halt, lying on the ground, He looked around confused as saw the train was now filled with people, while he was on the ground outside the train

"Huh....there wasn't an explosion....it wasn't real...but that was tsubaki right....?" He muttered in absolute confusion " and I'm fine?..." he noticed a tiny bracket with a charm " a bracelet, I don't remember wearing this..." his eyes widened ' Yuno did this...before she was captured...'

"What's going on? That was a really bouncy wake-up call..." Kuro muttered.

"Kuro, your okay?" He let out another yawn

"Yeah, Of course I am. I'm a vampire. I'm immortal. You should worry about yourself more " he muttered tiredly " your way to killable"

" it's hard to take you seriously when your so tiny, but I'm glad your okay, and you still have your sense of humour despite everything..." Mahiru sighed

"Tsubaki's already on the move...so we should be too!" He runs off while carrying the familiar

"Mahiru the eve of sloth doesn't have the hostage" tsubaki sighs "What a pity, I was hoping the explosion would cause a little damage, but my dear seemed to have place a protective charming him, oh well~Time to move on, Now who is next?~" He laughs maniacally

Meanwhile

Mahiru stands in front of a strange looking green door, he went to open the door when suddenly it opened itself. "Huh?"

"Welcome back,Miku-Miku! ~" a strange voice cooed, Mahuri stood back a little

"I'm afraid I have some bad news to report to you.... I accidentally broke something you treasure today... I'm so sorry" The voice continued on as the door kept slowly opening. " but honestly it's your fault for putting such value within my reaching knowing me like you do, really it couldn't be helped, it's not that bad....just missing a face"

Mahiru squeaked scared as a headless doll was held out of the crack of the door.

"But don't worry! I melted the head down and made it into a special potion just for you!" Suddenly the door opened completely and hit Mahiru sending him flying on to the hard pavement

He looked to see a cray white haired guy with glasses and wild eyes, a straw hanging out of his moth as a long lab coat flowed down to his knees, He was also wearing what looked like yellow and purple striped leggings with a matching green v-neck shirt

"Just think this doll you love. So much for ever will be a part of you, doesn't that sound wonderful? the two of you as one and you have me to thank for it!!" Wack job exclaimed

"Cheers!... Hm?" he laughs at first but then leaned down to inspect the boy who hides the bird. "Who are you?" The guy and Mahiru asked at the same time.

Time skip

Mahiru slowly followed the man in to the shop, he saw a doll that looked exactly like the antique dealers, next to a bunch of other stuff

' this place looks more like an convenient store than an antique shop....' he observes

"So the reason I'm here...-"

"Mikuni isn't here right now" the guy stated messing around with more chemicals and stuff

"Mikuni? Um, right so what are you doing here? are you one of mikuni's employees or just a friend?"

"Friend? Of that guy?! I'd rather" he spun his head around with a 'urg' look on his face

Mahiru sweat dropped slightly. "What about you huh? Are you one of Mikuni's servants?" He asked

"I'm no servant!" Mahiru exclaimed, he went back to calm "I'm just an acquaintance of his named Mahuri Shirota" Mahiru introduced

"Hmm, haruka Satou, that's a nice name"

"What?! How did you manage to get every
syllable wrong!!" Mahiru yelled angrily

"Huh...Mahiru shirota...." he mutters, then turned to his desk and began whipping through paper like a mad man " alright..."

Suddenly he grabbed a piece of paper and stood still for a moment before spinning around and lunging at mahuri with a huge creepy smile

. "Welcome to...my research laboratory!!" Suddenly he grabbed Mahiru and forced him down in a chair

"Now, have a seat, Kakeru Yamada!" He grinned struggling a bit with Mahiru to sit
"Mahiru shirota!!! He screamed still struggling

" why don't you let the hood doctor examine you while you wait, have some Uh...tea!!" He cooed pouring a strange obviously not tea liquid in to strange measuring cup

"Wait what is this?" Mahiru sweat dropped

" just a welcome drink, For the eve of sloth! Cheers mitsuru Hanaoka!" He shoved the glass and clinked his against it.m

"Who the hell is that?" Mahiru questioned

"Hmm, i guess I should admit I'm not very good at catching people's names. There are more important things to remember" he sighed pulling out a black sharpie.

he attacked Mahiru with the pen. " just hold still" he muttered writing in all caps on his forehead

. "H-Hey, what are you doing to me?!" Mahiru exclaimed angrily " there that should help"

After he finished Mahiru glared at the reelection Of the name on his forehead

" welcome mahuri shirota!~" he laughs

" so, who are you again?" Mahiru turned to the man

. "I'm part scholar. And part researcher. vampires are My specialty " the man stated with a grin.

Kuro gaped at bit along with Mahiru

. "Johannes Mimir Faustus. Here. That's technically My name. The letters that denote my under individuality. But you can call me doctor, or Hans, Johannes, Faust, or Mimir. What ever you like really. But more importantly-"

"Johann!!" Their eyes shoot up and saw the blonde Mahiru and Kuro were looking for sitting patiently of the railing of the second floor, with envy around his neck while carrying the green snake familiar

"Welcome back Miku-Miku" Johann waved.

Suddenly Mikuni jumped down and kicked Johann in the back before getting all up in his face and beginning to scream angrily at him

"I told you not to come here without asking!! And where did my dear Violetas head go huh?!" He screamed angrily holding up the headless doll in a purple dress

. "Uhm, hi?" Mahiru interrupted softly

" oh hi Mahiru, Do you have some business at my store?" His attitude changed as he turned to him, walking over

"Um, well maybe... miku is it?" Mahiru asked, as if testing out his name to see if it "Oh that's right I never told you my name. I'm Mikuni Alicein. Nice to meet you" he grinned, Mahuri's eyes widened

" and Thanks so much for looking out of my little brother!" He smiled

"Your....Misano's big brother?! That can't be right!" Mahiru exclaimed

The memory of what misono came back to him, dont trust him

"But why didn't Misano say a thing...? Is there bad blood between you two..?" He muttered, until he was jumped by the doc

" enough chit chat! I want to touch this vampire of yours! He's a cat right?! The SerVamp of sloth! So where is he? Where are you hiding him? This powerful beast? Don't be shy, bring him on out~" He smiled crazily shaking Mahiru like a rag doll

Mahuri takes Kuro out of the pocket bag and holding the ball out in his palm. "No way!!!" Johann freaked out jumping back at pointing at it like it was some sort of disease

"Hmm?" Mikuni leaned closer in and examined the ball carefully

"I'm trying to find a way to get him back to normal" Mahiru explained " and that's not all" he pulls out toto from his hiding place in his bag " toto's not doing good either" he shows the familiar getting weaker

Suddenly Johann clashed a cup in to the side of the ball as if he was making a toast causing Kuro to flinch

"A problems in need of examination! Cheers to the unexpected! Ah! If only time would freeze in this moment.... it's just so beautiful I think that I might cry!" Johann begins to sob " and a witches familiar!...."

While mahuri looked at him weirded out " thank you for bringing these Auditys, now into my laboratory!" He screamed before grabbing Mahiru's forehead and throwing him into a mirror that flipped opening revealing a revolving door.

" ow..." be groaned, he looked around the secret room behind the mirror " I didn't break the glass or anything, must be some kind of revolving door, man that's weird"

The door opens and reveals Johann smirking " it's Time for some fun experiments worth the hood doctor are you excited?~"while Mahuri looked terrified

Meanwhile with the guys

"I had dodo examine this photo We found on higans phone" Misono says, while the group looks down at the picture " he thinks he's traced it's origin"

"There no doubt about it, it's definitely the Tokyo opera in the backgrounds got it? There only one place that could have been taken, considering the angle on the picture" he remembered what dodo said

They looked down at the map of the location " there in one of the top floors of the Tokyo world tree hotel, that's their base" he states

" nice" tetsu comments

"The hotel has forty five floors, plus five more underground, taking advantage of that of that much height, an eve and SerVamp could be separated beyond their distance limit"

" I see..." tetsu observed

"Okay, so licht and lawless should be on the top and bottom floors of the hotel" kranz says

" tsubaki's guarding them, and he has help, higan, his strongest subclass is also probably keeping an eye on those two, he's dangerous" misono stats

" you shouldn't be so impressed by common sense, after analysing the facts, this seems like the most likely set up" misono glared

" alright" tetsu got up with high on his shoulder " I'm gonna get some rest then"

" me too" minene gets up and follows, moon following her

" Wha-your leaving it to us?"

" just tell me what you want me to do once you figure it out, don't worry, I'm good at this kinda thing" tetsu said

" and all I care about is saving the three, even if lawless is a pain in the butt" minene says

" yea it's a smart idea to recover as much stamina as possible before we begin" high agrees

" like I wouldn't do that to begin with" misono grumbled turning his head the other way

They go back to looking at the photo " the first thing we need to do is scout the hotel from the inside, but that could be a problem, the subclasses definitely know our faces now"

" your right, we need someone who can slip past them unrecognised" Lily states, Suddenly they look to kranz who points at himself in confusion

Back at mikuni's store

Johann measuring how tall my mahiru was, but he was actually glad Yuno wasn't there....

"What do you plan to do after getting Sloth back to normal? Are you going to go after Tsubaki?" Mikuni asked peering down at him " do you have some sort of plan to stop him?"

" huh?" Mahuri asks as he puts his jacket back on

" you are aware that Vampires are immortal. And witches and warlocks are powerful. Do you know how to break them?" He added

"Break them...what are you talking about..?" Mahiru questioned, before his mind went back to the guy from C3.

" I get it, are you know a way to kill vampires and magic users?" He asked " your horribly uninformed" mikuni says closing the book and looking directly at him " as an eve you should really know how these things work" he starts explaining " vampires are potentially immortal true, but subclasses can be broken of a SerVamp drinks their blood, you can call it a form of cannibalism"

Mahiru's eye widen in disbelief and horror " there's also a way to break a servamp, using their name and their item, the two things that connect an eve and a SerVamp together, you gave sloth a object and a name to make a contract and that's his weakness" mikuni stated

"Huh... no I didn't give him anything...." mahiru said until he remembered the bell he wrapped around kuro's neck when he was a cat " crap! Yeah i did! His little cat bell! I didn't think anything of it!" Mahiru exclaimed.

"SerVamp's are sins and eves their salvation. In order to break their connection. You must destroy the item the eve gave to his SerVamp, do that and the SerVamp...well " Mikuni explained " and as for magic users...if they loose in a fight, gives the assaulter enough time to drain them of their power, but their life is also drained in the process"

Mahiru stated at him in shock ' then Yuno....will' he image of that terrified him ' I thought tsubaki cared about her!....unless...he doesn't know....'

I longer linked to her and follow their new master" he said stroking the green snake " this familiar used to be a statue, which she created, and if Yuno dies, he turn back into a statue..."

" this is good to know, but all I want to do right now is turn Kuro back to normal so I can save her before it's to late!" Mahiru said

Which is death...I want to know see and feel, to experience and understand, to learn everything" he explains while looking at the ball " this monster is amazing, but we know next to nothing about him, he has such incredible strength, he's won every battle he's ever fought, the ultimate soldier! And now there's a war between vampires, perhaps I should thank the SerVamp of melancholy fo allowing me to see something so fascinating, I want to also meet the white witch face to face"

" the white witch?" Mahiru Questioned confused

" yes, she'd known as the most powerful witch of them all, one that keeps your world from falling into darkness, and see i wish to see white witch appear" he finishes his long speech " in every era, wars has forced us to its progress, I want sloth to revert back so he can use his powers to do just that" he pat's mahiru's shoulder walking past

" sure but...it's not that I want his power..." he mutters

" huh?"

" I want to learn Kuro and become the kind of person who can face him as an equal"

Johann sighs and turns away " I have no interest in such sentimental motivations" he said

"Here have some tea" he put down a measuring cup with the same liquid inside

"Thank you" Mahrui took it and started drinking

" I don't know foolproof way of getting him out of there, but there is a radical solution that I thinks worth trying"

" huh?.." mahuri suddenly dropped the beaker and yelled when he started falling to the floor

" of course what I'm proposing is a human eve entering the mind of a SerVamp and interacting with him directly" he said

"Taking your necessary risk as usual i see " Mikuni's voice spoke

'What...did I just drink?!...'

"Luckily I've already concocted a way to get into a servamps mind!!" Johann laughed crazily " I can't believe I'm getting to test on the eldest brother sloth!"

"Good luck, to you Mahiru shirota, how about a poem as you depart" he heard Mikuni's voice

"They've hidden my poor subclass" tsubaki says, licking the blood of his finger

Through a par of binoculars " he's out side!"

At the SerVamp base " I've got a visual" one of hugh's subclasses inform" that's excellent news" he said " he left the roof and heading west, I'm sending a photo now"
