random lines i thought up of while in the shower

So there's this thing called a 'sudden burst of inspiration to write a oneshot as lines pop up in your head while taking a shower but then losing that motivation as you slink back into the comfort of your bed', and I swear, it always happens, followed by 'losing all your ideas and wallowing in the feeling of lamentation that it brings you'.

And yeah, that's why I'm here to write 2 'WHAT IF, AT SOME POINT' scenarios.

Yaaay. And keep in mind i ain't gunna try to be literate at all.

----

1. Something about bridges and lawless and licht and ophelia

"Come on, you shit rat. There's nothing you could have done to prevent that phenomenon. Get over it!" Licht exclaimed in irritation, swinging his leg to the right side where his Servamp stood.

Lawless dodged the kick, barely avoiding the fearful impact of the half-Austrian kid's attack.

"I-I know that. It's just. . . Why did Ophelia have to die like that?"

He slumped back on the wall, pulling his scarf up to cover half his face. Licht glared at him for several seconds before sighing and leaning on the other wall, facing Hyde.

"Well, she did try to serve as a bridge for peace between two nations. It was--"
"But it was useless! It didn't help salvage anything in the end! Don't you understand that by now, Lich-tan?" Hyde shouted, his face growing redder with frustration.

In turn, his Eve simply whacked him on the face, then grabbed his collar without giving him a chance to retaliate. His domineering aura loomed over the vampire, silencing him as he saw something other than annoyance sparking in the back of Licht's gaze.

"It did help, dumbass! Do you think Puck's grandchildren would have known peace without her sacrifice?"

Puck. . . Oh, right. The boy who played with Ophelia, along with another little girl.

"Try using that rotten mind of yours before you jump into conclusions. It was, indeed, a temporary key to relief, but atleast there was comfort that it brought in the first place.

"Bridges are useful. They do what they're meant to do. It's just that. . ." His grip on Hyde's clothing loosened, and he hung his head, as if looking for the strength to pull his next words out. "They're the first to break as age weathers them down."

The blonde vampire froze, absorbing Licht's words slowly like a stubborn piece of woollen clothing.

"Don't you understand that by now, shit rat?" Licht tossed his Servamp's line back to him. "And don't you realize why you refuse to do so?

"It's because you were once a bridge, too. You tried, Hyde."

Never in his life did Lawless think he cried as much, ever since he lost it all.

"You did."

( ok the end kill me now i cringe at this pls remake it, some good writer out there i beg of u and sorry for forgetting the name of the little girl )

2. Something about being alive and kuro and mahiru

The steady rhythm of the heart monitor ( lmao how cliché omfg ) drilled itself into Kuro's eardrums as he rose from his napping position, feeling the sheets stir as the patient moved.

The sight of his once-energetic and bright Eve waiting for his death in an obtrusive pallid manner made him feel the imaginary silver stakes puncturing his lungs even more.

Mahiru smiled at the wrong spot, not even able to see where his Servamp was anymore.

"Say, Kuro. . ."

The aforementioned vampire felt his breath hitch, hearing his name from the human's dry voice.

"Where will you go. . . After this?"
"After what--" Kuro choked on his own words, knowing full well what his Eve meant. "What in the world do you mean?"

Mahiru let out a breathy laugh, his cracked lips breaking into a wider smile.

"After they bury me and all that."
". . . This is too troublesome I could die. . ." The final word left a bad taste in Kuro's mouth. " You're not going to meet your coffin, you're not going to leave this hospital bed without scolding me for failing to keep the apartment clean before you even see it, you're not going to die, you're not going to die this soon."

"But everybody dies, someday, Kuro." The brunette sighed, closing his eyes. Somehow, the sight of his eyelids shut made the vampire uneasy, as if it was an omen of what was about to take place.

"Not everybody."
"Whatever do you. . . Mean?"
"I don't. I never die. I never would die. I'm immortal. Along with my other siblings. We're forced to live eternally, just like this, watching everyone go before us. And now I'm going to witness your death, too, Mahiru." He tugged on his hair, casting his eyes toward the floor. "I don't want that."

Silence lingered between the two of them, and Kuro was afraid his Eve might have left at that moment, but the monitor assured him Mahiru was still with him.

"It hurt me too, Kuro." Mahiru stated, not opening his eyes. "Because the first time we met. . . You were already dead."
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
"You know what I mean. In your current state, do you. . . Consider yourself  as actually alive?"

Even on the brink of death, his Eve never failed to find something about him he didn't even realize was actually a fact.

( um ok gaddeym i hate my cringe worthy pieces that can't even )
