Another chapter for you guys :) I'm going away for a couple of days so I won't be uploading until Thursday or maybe even Friday. So here's another chapter to keep you going until then :)

"What just happened?"
Alyssa broke off from Aaron to find out what was going on, although it was now impossible to see anything in the pitch black room. She could not even make out Aaron’s face just inches away from hers, although his presence was confirmed by the feel of his breath on her face. Had someone spilled a drink on the power mains or something? The music was off and she could’ve sworn she’d heard a high-pitched scream coming from downstairs.
"Baby, come here." Alyssa could not see Aaron but she could feel his touch on her arm, trying to draw her in closer. But she was no longer in the mood. She pushed him away, trying to feel around on the floor for her dress which she had slipped out of only moments ago.
"Aaron, I’m serious. I’m going out there to find out what the hell’s going on, and I am not going out half naked, okay?"
After a few seconds, she felt the soft material of her dress on the floor and, with some difficulty, managed to slip it back on. As she was still tugging at the zipper, she stepped out onto the adjoining balcony on the far side of the room, in an attempt to get a better view of the deck below. However, there was not much to see and it was difficult to make out any familiar faces in the crowd.
"Come on, gorgeous."
Aaron was outside on the balcony now, his shirt off revealing his tanned, toned abs. He approached her from behind, wrapping his strong arms around her waist and gently kissing her cheek. He felt warm, comforting and she felt protected in his grasp, although what she really needed to do was go find Brooke downstairs to find out what was going on.
She smiled and turned her head slightly, letting Aaron’s lips find her own. Their kiss only lasted a few seconds, though, as out of the corner of her eye she noticed something – someone looking straight at her from the ground below.
"Oh, crap…" she said, suddenly breaking free from Aaron’s embrace and fleeing back indoors.
"What, beautiful?" Aaron asked, following her. "Is something wrong?"
"Don’t worry. I just… saw someone I didn’t really want to see," she said, snatching up her purse from the bed, and making her way over to the door quickly, leaving Aaron standing in the bedroom on his own.
How could she have been so stupid? Now Olivia had seen the evidence, she now had potential blackmailing material. If she was smart enough to realise that.
Outside in the hallway, it was pitch black and it was hard to make out where anything was. She almost tripped over a couple making out at the top of the stairs, and she was thankful that she managed to grab the banister before she toppled down to her death. She managed to fumble her way into the open-plan lounge, where there was a bit more light due to the large patio windows, but it was still difficult to navigate in a crowd of panicked teenagers.
"Where’s Brooke?" she said loudly, to no one in particular.
She sighed when she received no answer, pushing her way past various people until she reached the kitchen, which was a little less crowded. Most people inside were looking worried, clutching onto one another tightly as if this would provide them with some protection.
Then, from the corner of her eye, she spotted Brooke. She was holding a tiny tea light in her hands that was giving off so little light it was barely worth bothering with, whilst talking worriedly to two other girls.
"Brooke," she called, as she approached the usually bubbly redhead, who was now biting her lip as she listened to what the other girl was saying.
"Alyssa!" she said suddenly, when she noticed her coming towards her. "I’m so so sorry about this, babe, I swear. I don’t know what’s happened. The power’s just gone. I did try and call my dad, but he’s away in Paris so there’s not much he can do. The party’s ruined, I know!"
"You sure someone didn’t mess with the power supply?"
"Yeah, I checked it and everything. It should be working perfectly okay."
"And did I hear someone screaming?"
"I don’t know. It’s probably just someone who’s drunk, having a laugh. But seriously, what are we going to do?"
"We’ve got an even bigger problem," someone said, as they entered the kitchen. Alyssa spun round to confirm the owner of the familiar voice. Sure enough, Kayla was standing there, a scared expression upon her face. "Courtney’s gone missing!"
