How do YOU cope with grief?

I do my best to remember the good times and let go of the ache. It's better to treasure what was than miss what could have been. My mum always said that about my dad.

If you could change anything about your life up to seventh year, what would you change???

Obviously, I wish my parents hadn't both died so young. Other than that, nothing really. So many of my best memories were happy accidents. Maybe keep Remus and Kriss together, because they were CUTE!

How do you see your future with Eva?

I haven't gotten that far exactly. When I think of our future, I don't think of concrete images. It's more of the feeling I get when I'm with her. Maybe a house someday, maybe kids. Maybe we'll just take care of Francis until we're old.

Slow down, I'm eighteen! In any other climate, I'd actually take Eva's last name when we get married. Then if Reg never lands a wife, the Blacks would die with us. Smart, huh? Right now, though, it's safer for both of us to have a Pureblood surname and I don't plan on waiting long enough for anything else. Does that answer your question?

Would you rather Regulus be sorted into Gryffindor or would you rather him sorted into Slytherin?

As much as I wish my brother shared my house, being a Gryffindor would make him miserable. We're too obnoxious for our own good.

I actually planned on telling James and Peter, but they spoiled the surprise for themselves. I just wanted to wait until the night before so no one accidentally spilled the secret.

I was really too shocked to be offended. I think the right word is flabbergasted.

Considering how close you are with Eva and the other Marauders, what's your advice for finding the best friends, as in the people who lift you up the most and let you empower them too?

Sooner or later, you'll meet people who just get you. I met most of my friends by accident and I had the common sense to hold onto them.

Um, actually, let's just say a snog may have almost happened after a Quidditch match and too many firewhiskies during our fifth year. Sirius didn't talk to either of us for over a week.

Why can't you see you are worthy of all the love and affection your friends (and Kriss) give to you?

To most of the world, I'm seen as a monster. I do my best to keep my being a werewolf a secret, but when people find out, they can barely stand to be in the same room as me! The fact that I have friends who see past it still astonishes me. And as for Kriss, so much of our relationship was based on my deception, so it feels like she might have fallen for someone who isn't me. She deserves someone who isn't broken and dangerous. I have no place in the world.

Yeah, actually. Back when Sirius was too busy snogging Marlene in every spare broom closet they could find, I had a small crush on her. We were thirteen, I think. Maybe fourteen.

You people all really like Kriss, don't you? No, I do not. She deserves so much better than I could ever give her. She'll find someone else, I'm sure. Someone better than me.

I don't know. She's been so bitter to me since I got my letter. Maybe we would have stayed close, but she never liked any of the friends I brought home, either. I don't think she would be a Gryffindor.

If James and I have kids, I don't want to name them after my friends. That might make the others feel left out. Maybe a middle name, though. I don't think Kriss would put up a fight, but Marlene and Eva might go at it. Who would win? Kriss, just to bother the other two.

Would you say this book has changed you as a writer (I feel that it has, in a good way ofc :))?

Thanks and yes! I think my writing style has improved immensely while writing Serendipity. I love all of the aspects I was able to tie in: romance, friendship, loss, family, angst, and comedy. It helped me become more well-rounded as an author.

Why did you break up Kriss and Remus whyy

I considered letting him stay and reconcile with her, but that wouldn't be true to Remus' character. In the books, he's so hesitant to be with Tonks. It takes her so long to convince him that she doesn't care about his lycanthropy, she cares about him. When he finally marries her, even though he's happy and in love, he regrets it. He even tries to run when he finds out that she's pregnant. Remus' knee-jerk reaction to save others from himself is always to leave, but the important thing to remember is that he always comes back.

Who was your favorite ship in this story?

Can I answer all of them? I think they all have really cool yet different dynamics.

How did you make the photographs for Lily's photo album? They're so amazing and I am incredibly impressed and curious as to how you made them so perfect for the story.

I found photos online that remind me of the Marauders. Then, I use an app that puts a vintage camera filter on them, and I use another to put the photo into a Polaroid.

HOW DO YOU WRITE SO NICELY??

YOU'RE ALL SO NICE! I've been writing for years now. It's my absolute favorite thing to do, so I think it's a mix of practice and talent given to me by God.

If you could remove any of the characters, which one would it be?

I hate Bellatrix Lestrange with a burning passion.

If you had to kill off one of the main characters during their time at Hogwarts (with only the knowledge of them at Hogwarts. Don't say Peter just because he's evil in the end) which one would you choose and why?

I actually debated killing Kriss in the chapter with the full moon, but decided against it, especially because it would be Remus who killed her. I thought it was more interesting to have her survive and let her story continue. There was also a subplot where he bit her and she became a werewolf, but I ditched that one too. Take that, Krissmus shippers. SHE COULD HAVE DIED! Deal with the breakup.

Is the sequel during the war or the wedding?

Both. Epoch begins two months after graduation, so that would be July of 1978.

Will Eva and Sirius have a kid?

No spoilers.

And the most important one: Will Kriss and Remus get back together?

No spoilers, but all off my Krissmus shippers will definitely appreciate and hate Epoch simultaneously. That's all I'm going to say.
