After 8 years

"Argh,why is it so tough......this chapter is really so fucking boring"

The room was dark except a lamp shining on the table and illuminating half of the room.Faint whispers and flipping of pages was the only sound that was heard in the whole room.He leaned on his chair a bit and ran his hands through his hair as he again tried to concentrate.

Hence proved,this chapter is not made for me!!

Knock.Knock.

He shook his head as he knew the only person who would be awake at this time all because of him.He stood up and moved towards the door to open it.

Boy:I told you to sleep and take no tension of me

Voice:How could I sleep when my kiddo is not sleeping and taking so much tension just because of one chapter

Boy:naazu I am fine and I am not a kiddo anymore

Yes,the voice belonged to none other than Shehnaaz.She looked at her kiddo infront of her before pushing him and entering his room.She glanced at his room and huffed seeing the books lying on his study table as well as his bed.

Sana:you will always be my kiddo but Sidhansh, what is this?.........I told you to sleep,it's freaking 12 o'clock

Sidhansh:it's not like I have a bedtime

Sana:Ikr but you are over-stressing yourself,baba

Shehnaaz said caressing his face lovingly making Sidhansh also relax at her touch.She briefly looked at the boy infront of her,a boy who was going to be a man soon.The same boy with whom she used to play,with whom she used to dance funnily and for whom she used to bake cookies.Don't get me wrong,she still bakes cookies but now Sidhansh helps her everytime in baking.Strange,how time passes away so soon.Though she tries to deny it but it is true that he is not a kid anymore,he is almost an adult who is going to pass out within 1 month and then maybe go abroad for his further studies.Just the thought of that feared Shehnaaz.

Sidhansh:naazu,naazu where are you?

Sana:huh?

Sidhansh:did you hear what I said before the previous sentence?

Sana:no and I will not hear also,you first lay down on the bed

Sidhansh:nazuuuu

Sidhansh whined seeing Shehnaaz picking up all the books from the bed while mumbling incoherent words under her breath. He huffed knowing there's nothing he can do infront of the boss.

Sana:Kiddo.in the bed.now

Shehnaaz said stressing each word while controlling her giggles.She tries to be a strict parent but often fails in it.

Sidhansh:yes mam

Sidhansh switched off the table lamp and sneakily took his book.He jumped on his bed and saw Shehnaaz sitting there.

Sidhansh:what? Are you not going?.......naazu,sleep is important for you also

Shehnaaz glared at him and then took the book from his hands making him curse.

Shit

Sana:my dear kiddo,did you really thought you could trick your mu- naazu..........sleep is important for you also(mimicking him)

Shehnaaz stopped herself from saying that word remembering how Sidhansh is still sensitive to that word.

Sidhansh:not fair,you always know it

Sidhansh whined but nonetheless laid his head on her lap.Shehnaaz chuckled thinking how his head took all the place now while few years back half of his upper body would fit in her lap.

Why he had to grow up so quickly?!!

Sana:love you kiddo

Sidhansh:love you naazu and

Shehnaaz hands stopped caressing and patting his head feeling his eyes on her even in the dark room.

Sidhansh:happy birthday

A smile broke out on her face and she dropped a kiss on his forehead before letting the darkness consume them.

Sana:Happy birthday kiddo

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIDHANSH/SHEHNAAZ"

Two voices shouted at the same time after entering the room.They couldn't hold their joy anymore today.Their plan was to surprise them but to their dismay they only got surprised.

Samaira:dad,did they seriously slept like this?

Sid:I think so

Samaira:here we thought we are going to surprise them

Sid:but we only got surprised

Sidharth said as they both gave their attention to them only.Sidharth shook his head in disbelief seeing their sleeping position.Shehnaaz's head was leaning against the bedrest while she was sleeping in her sitting position with Sidhansh's head on her lap.He wanted to scold her again for being so careless about herself and  wanting to make her realize that Sidhansh was no more a kid.He was sure that when she would wake up,her legs and back would be aching.

But will this women understand?
Hell no

Samaira:her back would be aching?

Sid:I know but does she ever listen to me?

The 24 year old Samaira also understood Sidharth's point of view.She was concerned but at the same time could not stop the feeling of jealousy that crossed her heart.She was close to Shehnaaz but knew that the bond Sidhansh shared with Shehnaaz was totally different and beautiful. Love can't be compared.True but sometimes we just can't stop that comparison crossing our hearts and mind.But Samaira was mature enough to understand that every relation is different and unique in their own way.Love and care may vary a bit but what mattered was the love and care not its amount.

Sid:should we wake them up?

Samaira:I don't know, they look so cute......maybe let them sleep

But it was too late as the other two persons eyes slowly opened.The sound of their continuous talks woke them up.Shehnaaz woke up first and looked around a bit.She was going to stretch her hands when she noticed her left hand that was held tightly by Sidhansh.

Sana:kiddo, wake up

Sid:finally you woke up......just see the way you slept last night

Sidharth said keeping his hands on his waist and with a stern look.

Sana:geez,why are you so loud early morning?........calm down

Sidhansh:what happened?

Sidhansh also opened his fully now hearing the commotion. He immediately got up seeing him still sleeping on Shehnaaz's lap.That's when things started registering in his mind making him curse in his mind.

Sidhansh:Naazu,I slept on your lap the whole night and you slept in an uncomfortable sitting position?

Samaira:yes dumbo

Sidhansh:I am so sorry naazu,I didn't realize when I slept or I would have surely not made you sleep in such an uncomfortable position......I am sorry

Guilt filled his eyes as he looked at Shehnaaz with his apologetic and guilty face.

Sana:I know kiddo and you don't have to apologize, it's okay........I am fine

Sid:you are fine,like seriously Shehnaaz?.......then why don't you stand up and show us

Samaira:dad,why are you scolding naazu,Ansh ko bhi danto

Sid:because if Ansh had slept then Shehnaaz could have moved his head from her lap but no,she definitely would have thought not to wake up her kiddo and sleep like that only......God Shehnaaz how can you be so careless

Sidharth was solely angry at her,he just didn't like her seeing in pain.To be honest,he was angry at her careless behavior.

Sana/Sidhansh:YOU DON'T SCOLD THE BIRTHDAY BOY/GIRL ON THEIR BIRTHDAY

All the quarreling stopped at once hearing their shout.Sidharth and Samaira zipped their mouths knowing they can't argue any further after this.They just sighed and nodded making Shehnaaz and Sidhansh hi-fi each other and grin.

Sidharth:happy birthday champ

First Sidharth moved forward and kissed Sidhansh on his forehead after wishing him.Sidhansh groaned at the forehead kiss and whined infront of his dad about it.

Sidhansh:Dad,I am an adult now

Samaira:not yet,stupid......20 minutes are still left

Sidhansh:argh,we don't go in so much detail,Sis

Sid:but you are still a child to me and I will keep kissing your forehead on each birthday........I really don't know how time passed so soon,it still feels like you are still my ten year old Ansh.......may you succeed in every field of life and achieve your goals champ

Sidhansh:thank you dad

Till now everybody's eyes had filled with tears.But happy tears.

Samaira:okay enough of emotional talks,dad I also want to wish them......hurry up

Sidharth chuckled and moved towards the next person who was eagerly waiting for him.As soon as his eyes clashed with hers,a warm smile appeared on her lips.She still couldn't believe it was 8 years with this man who was standing infront of her.Sidharth hesitantly looked at her not finding the correct words to say to which Samaira smirked.

Samaira:dad,maybe you should wish naazu later.......I and Ansh don't want to disturb you,right Ansh?

Sid/Sana:Yeah,you are right Samaira/SHUT UP

Shehnaaz turned immediately towards Sidharth in surprise but soon realized that he was also teasing her along with Samaira. She huffed and threw the blanket before standing up.

Sana:this only you do in the last,gang up against me

Sidhansh:naazu wait,I am not included in this

He said but unfortunately Shehnaaz was already out of his sight.He glared at them who were standing with "I didn't do anything" expression.

Sidhansh:not fair,it's her birthday and you all are troubling her

Sid:fine fine,I am sorry.......I am going to check upon her and Sidhansh if you have any plans in the evening tell me please actually me and Samaira are planning a party

Sidhansh smiled at his father's words. This thing he liked about his dad that he always asked him before and was always concerned about him.Sidhansh knew that somewhere his dad blamed himself that Sidhansh couldn't get along with most of his batchmates.

Sidhansh:no dad but I want-

Samaira:a party with a few people only,just family and few friends

Samaira completed his sentence having heard it on his every birthday.She rolled her eyes unaware of the death glares she was getting.Sidharth just laughed and went out of the room after mumbling a ok.

Sidhansh:Come on Sam,stop irritating me

Samaira:what I just said what was right

Sidhansh:fine my highness,now will you leave my room so I can freshen up

Samaira:first let me wish my baby bro

Samaira start moving forward with an evil face making Sidhansh take few steps back.He knew what was coming up and immediately started running.

Sidhansh:Sam no,you know I hate this.......SAMAIRA SHUKLA STOP,Nooooo

Like this their session went on for am hour.Time has changed,their ages have changed,years have came and gone but somethings still haven't changed.

Their moments, their laughter and love are still the same!!

Sid:Shehnaaz,hurry up......Jay and Mahi have already came,you are late in your birthday party only

Sidharth shouted standing outside of the room.He was waiting from half an hour and it was true,Jay and Mahi had already came.That was also the reason why he was standing outside of the door because Mahi had already asked five times for her.

Sana:aayi

The next moment, Sidharth heard the twisting of the doorknob.He sighed in relief and quickly straightened up his outfit.Just as his eyes clashed with hers,he looked at her solely leaving everything. Slowly,his eyes moved from up to down.The surprise look already could be seen on his face as his mouth opened a bit and his eyes got stuck on her only.While Shehnaaz not really understanding his expression twirled around showing her dress clearly.

The black colour of her outfit making her more hot and breathtaking.The net fabric of the saree wasn't helping much also only adding more pressure on Sidharth.His eyes didn't left her for a second.

Sana:how am I looking?

Sid:breathtakingly beautiful I am already loosing my control,Mrs. Shukla

Sidharth said after pulling her more close to him by her waist.The sweet fragrance of her invaded his senses as he dipped his head in the crook of her neck.She blushed because of his actions but also by the endearment. He sometimes call her that but everytime he calls her by that name,she swear she could feel butterflies in her stomach and a flattering feeling crawling on her heart.Her breathing getting heavy as she felt him kissing her neck and nibbling it also.She was sure that if she won't stop him,he would definitely leave a mark.

I don't have time to redo my makeup but how do I stop him?!!

Sana:Sidharth we would be getting late

Sid:who cares?

Sana:I care Mr. Shukla, it's my birthday party

Shehnaaz whined and pushed his chest but she only heard a groan from his side.Sidharth lifted his head from her neck and pecked her lips,cheek and at last her forehead.Taking a bit more time on kissing her forehead.Shehnaaz smiled blissfully and couldn't stop but adore this man.

"Ahem,Ahem"

Samaira:I hope I am not disturbing anything or even if I am,I am forced to do it......can't help

Sid:actually you are disturbing

Shehnaaz elbowed him and walked towards Samaira and Aditya.She smiled at Aditya and then narrowed her eyes at Samaira who was now having a serious expression.

Sana:aab kya hua isse?

Aditya:Idk,she is having quite a lot mood swings nowadays

Aditya said shrugging and leaning against the wall.Sidharth also shook his head and moved towards them.

Samaira:why didn't you give this saree to me on my farewell day........I kept asking you for a black one

Samaira's serious voice turned into whining.Shehnaaz facepalmed and smacked Samaira's head lightly.

Sana:you scared me,girl

Aditya:I told you,right

Sid:was I drunk when I gave my permission to his proposal?

Sana:ofcourse not

Yes,Samaira and Aditya were in a relationship and got engaged one year ago.Eventually,Aditya had lost hope and decided to be just best friends with her but it was his sister who forced him to propose her rather than being a coward.Much to his surprise, Samaira said yes though she was also shocked for some days.Yes,days.She took four days to process this and say yes to his proposal.

Samaira:wait,I can hear music.......DID THAT BRAT STARTED MUSIC WIYHOUT ME!!

Samaira shouted and ran ready to chase her baby bro leaving the others to laugh at her.

Sana:can anybody tell she is a 24 year old adult and a CEO?

Sid/Aditya:absolutely not

Samaira:AND SHEHNAAZ YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS

And from somewhere,they heard Samaira's shout making Shehnaaz chuckle.

The hall was filled with lights,decorations,joyful people,music and ofcourse food.The place looked so lively and happy making Shehnaaz tear up.The best birthday she could ever ask for,just the people she loved and the peoplewho loved her.The place was decorated simply only just the way she and Sidhansh liked.Her eyes roamed around the whole place searching for the birthday boy.She needed to give him his birthday gift before anyone else gave him.

Sidhansh:missing me?

Sana:you scared me,kiddo

Shehnaaz shrieked and put her hand on her heart to which Sidhansh smiled sheepishly. He came infront of her and looked at her properly.

Sidhansh:you are looking pretty,naazu

Sana:thank you

Even a small compliment from his side brought a smile on her face.She gestured him to wait and moved towards the table.She quickly picked up a bag from its drawer and walked towards Sidhansh.The whole attention of the people was on them only now.

Samaira:naazu presents after the cake cutting

Sana:oh please, I know after cutting of cake,you will be rushing to give the gift to him first but this time,I want Sidhansh to get his first gift from me

Sidharth:fair enough.....this time let Shehnaaz give Sidhansh his first gift

Shehnaaz smiled and forwarded the bag towards Sidhansh. Sidhansh quickly took it from her and excitedly looked inside it.He took out the object and everyone was surprised seeing a book with Sidhansh written on it along with his few pictures.As most of them expected an expensive watch,phone or bike or car keys.

Sidhansh:what is it,naazu?

Sana:open it baba

Shehnaaz nervously looked at his reactions as he slowly opened it.The first page was written as "18 years of my kiddo". A broad smile came upon Sidhansh's lips as he understood it was memory book.

The next page contained pictures of his childhood when it was his first birthday.He smiled and chuckled reading the cute comments beside it.

Sana:well,I have not done it completely.........Sidharth also helped me in getting your baby pictures

Sid:thank you but the actual credit goes to sweetheart for coming up with such a beautiful idea

Samaira:it's amazing naazu

All praised her one by one but the person from whom she was expecting the most remained silent.She eagerly kept looking at him for his reaction while he just flipped the pages,noticing each and every picture.Tears formed in his eyes suddenly making Shehnaaz panic as she rushed towards him.She cupped his face and made him look at her.

Sana:Sidhansh-

But before she could say anything, she was trapped in a big,tight hug making her stiff.She slowly wrapped her hands around him and rubbed his back.She gestured Sidharth to give them some privacy to which Sidharth nodded and asked everyone to leave the hall for sometime.

Sidhansh:Naazu

Sana:ha mera baccha

Sidhansh:I am sorry for hurting you much in the past,You always cared for me but what did I do?........That day I-

Sana:Shh,itne shubh din pe bure dino ko yaad nahi karte hai baccha aur esa nahi hai,mera Sidhansh bhi mera bohot khyaal rakhta hai......whenever I am sick,mera hath pakar sota hai chahe jitna bhi mana karo,ye bhi bol do ki aab nahi utha toh chittar parenge.....tab bhi mera ziddi bacha nahi sunta hai ulta apna gaal aage kar deta hai

Sidhansh chuckled and hugged her more tightly squeezing Shehnaaz but she didn't complain.She understood him and his emotions and just patted his back with a smile.There are less moments where he initiates physical affection and when he does,she loves it.Unlike his father,he is a man of words than actions.

Sidhansh:I love you

Samaira:we love you both

They both got startled and looked to their left where Samaira and Sidharth were standing.They broke the hug but Sidhansh's hands were still wrapped around Shehnaaz's shoulders making her chuckle.

He is now of the same height as me,maybe taller also!!

Samaira:but this emotional moments please not on the birthday......guys,meri vidaai nahi hai

She said only to be smacked by Sidharth the next moment.She bit her tongue realizing how Sidharth hates whenever someone mentions her vidaai.

Samaira kuch bhi mat bola kar,pagal!!

Sana:fine,call the guests......let's cut the cake now

"How can you all forget us?"

All turned their heads towards the direction of the voice and saw Kabir and Trisha standing at the entrance.Samaira ran towards them and hugged them tightly.The two chuckled and ruffled her hair.Sidharth and Shehnaaz also moved towards them and hugged them.

Sana:and we didn't forgot you but what took you so long?

Shehnaaz couldn't help but smile at the two adults.Like Samaira, they had also grown up into responsible adults who were taking care of their parents' business.

Trisha:uffo mami main kya batau,phele toh this idiot took a lot time to get ready and then I was not able to choose a perfect gift for Ansh and you

Kabir:ha jaise kudh tyaar hone mein time hi nahi liya(murmurs)

Sid:where is mom and di?

Kabir:sorry mama but nani aur mumma nahi aa payenge,mumma ki important online meeting thi aur nani unke sath hi ruk gayi

Sidharth nodded his head half-heartedly. Though he understood that as Akash was in London so Prachi would have been alone if they all had left her,still a part of him wanted his di and mom to be there.

Sidhansh:dadi will not come

Who was standing at a distance, away from them also was shocked and a frown appeared on his face.Shehnaaz gave him a sad smile and sidehugged him.

It will be my first birthday without dadi!!

Trisha:but she has given her blessings to both of you and also these gifts

Trisha grinned showing the 5-6 bags she was holding. All of them chuckled seeing her excitement but Sidhansh eyes were focused on the door.As if waiting for someone to enter which didn't went unnoticed by Aditya.

Aditya:waiting for someone Ansh?

Sidhansh:huh

Sidhansh surprisingly looked at him not expecting someone to notice him.Kabir was also interested now and thought about it.Then,something strike his mind, who exactly Sidhansh was waiting for.He put his hand around Sidhansh's shoulder and smirked at him.

Kabir:Guys you all forgot someone, how could you?........that person is so important to Ansh, maybe more than us also(pouting)

Sidhansh:bhaiya,stop getting jealous from him

Trisha:but still after Ansh,Kabir will only have the second best bond with him

Kabir:Kabir bhaiya........and where is your jigdi yaar,Ansh?........har wakt toh ussi ke sath rehta hai tu

"Jaani,hum aab itne khaas hai ki log kar bhi kya sakte hai......jiss insaan ke sath Rishi ho,usse jhund ki zaroorat nahi parti"

A smile came on Sidhansh's and Samaira's face.A boy who almost looked about Sidhansh's age entered the place.Decked up in a simple black tshirt and black jeans,holding two bags in his right hand.He gave a goofy smile to all of them while his aura screamed badboy.Sidhansh looked at him with a smirk and moved towards him but before he could hug him,Rishi beat him and hugged him.

Rishi:happy birthday captain

Sidhansh:are you serious,even today also Rishi?

Rishi chuckled hearing Sidhansh's taunt and patted his back.They both separated after sometime feeling the  gaze  of all on them only.

Kabir:you guys are such cheaters........if you both had planned to do twinning, you could have informed me also?!!

Kabir let out an annoyed sigh.It was then everyone nicely looked at their outfits properly which matched quite a lot.

Sidhansh:we are actually twinning

Rishi:big bro like seriously I didn't knew I would be twinning with captain,di picked it up from me and I wore it(shrugs).........but I would definitely thanks di cuz I am twinning with my favourite person,nazuuuu

Rishi screamed and took Shehnaaz in a quick and sudden hug making her laugh.She held him in her arms and gently patted his hug.This boy had really brought lots of happiness in her and her family's life.She really thought Sidhansh would always feel the void of a true bestfriend until Rishi came in his life.The bond they both shared was like a bestfriend's bond which couldn't be expressed in words.It was such a bond that it brought tears to Shehnaaz's eyes and could just thank God for it.

Sidharth:aab cake katne chale?

Rishi:hum toh kabse tyaar hai uncle

Sid:acha but tu toh abhi aaya hai

Rishi:but pure raaste toh wahi sochke aaya huna

All laughed hearing Rishi's words while Sidhansh smacked his head a bit to which his grin only grew more.

Indeed, he was another ray of sunshine!!

Samaira:nahi phele main

Sid:Guys,don't you think phele mera haq banta hai dene ka?

Sidharth said in a intimidating tone but alas,it didn't affect them.They gave one look at him and then again continued their fight.Shehnaaz chuckled at his condition.

Sidhansh:main birthday boy huna,let me decide

Samaira/Rishi:fine

Sidhansh:Rishi,you give first

Rishi shouted in excitement and moved quickly towards Sidhansh and Shehnaaz to give his gifts.Their sitting arrangement was such that the birthday boy and girl was made to sit on the same sofa while others sat on the couch or chairs around them.

Samaira:you will be craving for my gift till the end of the day but you won't get it

Samaira said it as a curse making everyone believe that she was truly hurt but Aditya waved his hand gesturing it was nothing.He hugged her sideways ignoring Sidharth's glare like the same way a mother ignores her child's demands.

Aditya:Samaira calm down,your gift is not flying away nor Sidhansh and Sana..........and everyone, chill I am sure she will get normal after few minutes

Samaira:you are not my bestfriend anymore

Aditya:ofcourse,I am your fiance now(winking)

Rishi:okay before you start your PDA and uncle kills Aditya,let me give them their gifts........so here's my first gift for my jigdi,sabse pyaara,handsome and dashing yaar SIDHANSH

Rishi dramatically said as if a person is presenting a gift to his king.Sidhansh chuckled and received it from him.Then Rishi moved towards Shehnaaz and gave her his gift.

Rishi:naazu,I request you to open it right now only

Rishi said seeing her keeping the gift on the table without opening.

Sana:why Rishi?

Rishi:well,I am sure Sidhansh is gonna love my gift so he can open it later but yours gift is not bought by me.......it's bought by di so open it now and if you don't like it,you can blame di(shrugging)

Sana:badmash,aapni di ko koi bolta hai aese........and I trust her choice, okay

Rishi:still naazu open it pleaseee, she didn't even let me see it also

Sana:now that's the true reason

Shehnaaz laughed and picked the gift again ready to open it.She took it out from the paper bag and saw a box wrapped in blue paper.She slowly started unwrapping it testing everyone's patience. But as soon as the gift was opened,a "wow" and "beautiful" escaped from everyone's mouth.

Sana:I am speechless,kitna khoobsurat hai ye

(I don't know what's written here but imagine the same necklace design with Shahnaz written on it)

Samaira:Zoe really has a good taste of fashion

Sidhansh:Rishi what's written on it?

Rishi who was also flabbergasted seeing the beautiful and delicate piece,snapped out of his state of shock and read the words.Rishi and Zoe were the only ones who were fluent in Urdu and Arabic language. Though Rishi knew and recognized urdu letters easily,he was not so good at Arabic.

Rishi,tujhe batana toh parega.....izzat ka sawal hai

Rishi:Sha....naz,Shahnaz......oh,it's Shehnaaz's name written on it,In Arabic it's Shahnaz

Sana:it's such a beautiful and heartwarming idea

A smile formed on Shehnaaz's lips as she traced her name.The moon and star  enhancing the beauty of the chain.Her eyes just got stuck on that necklace which didn't went unnoticed by Sidharth. He smiled seeing her cute expressions and the way she held it so securely.Making a mental note in his mind to thank Zoe,he shook Shehnaaz bringing her back from her dreamland.

Sid:Shehnaaz, I know it's beautiful but others are also waiting to give you their gifts

Sana:sorry

Shehnaaz gave an apologetic smile to everyone and kept the necklace back.

Sana:so now it's Samaira's turn

Samaira:finally

Samaira stood up from her couch and forwarded her gift to Shehnaaz first.Sidhansh made an annoyed face while Samaira smirked and flipped her hair back.Shehnaaz shook her head in disbelief seeing the duo.

Samaira:this is for you,naazu from me and Aditya

Sana:thank you baccha

She held Samaira's face and kissed her forehead after keeping the gift on the table.After everyone had given both of them their respective gifts,Shehnaaz turned towards the birthday boy.She looked at him keenly as she hasn't received a gift from him yet but there was another thing also that troubled her.He was silent, too silent.Till now all the guests had left making it a good situation for Shehnaaz to ask him about it.

Sana:so kiddo,where is my gift?

Shehnaaz asked raising her eyebrows and forwarding her hand towards him.

Sidhansh:you won't like it,naazu.......leave it

Sana:hawww how can you say so?..........my kiddo is the best and I know his gift will also be the best

After a little more coaxing, Sidhansh hesitantly kept a small box on her hand.Now Shehnaaz and the whole family was also curious that why Sidhansh was behaving like that and what was his gift.As soon as Shehnaaz opened the gift,her eyes grew wide.

Sana:oh my God

Samaira:show me naazu

Shehnaaz turned the box so that everyone could see it.All gasped seeing the gift.It was a simple chain with Shehnaaz's name written on it.Both the chains looked same except for the way Shehnaaz's name was written on each,one was in Arabic and other was in English.

Seeing Shehnaaz's expressionless face,Sidhansh thought that she didn't liked his gift.He chuckled bitterly thinking he would have got something else.

Well,it's not naazu's fault also.......the  chain she received first is more beautiful than mine!!

Sidhansh:it's okay naazu, you can give it back to me......I will bring something else

Sidhansh extended his hand to take it back but Shehnaaz slapped his hand away.

Sana:no,nope I am not giving it back......it's so beautiful

Sidhansh:but it-

Sana:no buts,this is my birthday gift and I won't give it to anybody

Samaira:but how will you wear both the chains?

Sana:that's for me to think and I know exactly what to do

Shehnaaz smiled thinking about her perfect plan.She kept the two chains separately but there was one thing that got stuck on her mind.

How did they both came up with the same gift idea?!!

Samaira:I am missing Ariel and big bro

Aditya:so call them up

Samaira:right

Samaira picked up her phone ready to dial Ariel's number.Sidhansh got indulged in talking with Rishi and Sidharth. Shehnaaz smiled seeing her happy,united family.

Sana:you guys talk,I am bringing some snacks for all

Shehnaaz stood up from her place and moved towards the kitchen.Just as she left,they heard the clinking of heels.Sidhansh lifted his head to see the late guest only to get stunned.

"I am sorry,sorry guys there was so much traffic,I...............

The other words became inaudible to Sidhansh as he got so busy in staring at her.The white shiny material of the dress suited her beautifully, her hair open with slight curls in the end.The dupatta lazily lying on one of her shoulder.Her angelic face glowing as her lips moved and in between laughed.The face he was so familiar with yet everytime he saw her,it looked like it was the first time.

She looks beautiful in Indian outfits!!

Samaira:Idiot Zoe was calling you from so long where are you lost?

The night grew more dark,cold and cloudy.Tears flowed out from her eyes ,not able to control it anymore.She didn't wanted to cry infront of everyone so quietly came here and let her emotions take control.It was so difficult for her there.The overwhelming feeling inside her grew more,it was just something she couldn't explain in words.She was happy,ofcourse but she still didn't knew she could take this much happiness.Her past made her a little doubtful.She leaned on the glass door and kept her hand on it.

Sid:waha main soch raha tha madam snacks la rahi hogi sabke liye lekin nahi ,she is crying here

Her face lifted up hearing his voice and felt two hands encircling her waist.Shehnaaz swiftly turned around remembering the purpose of her leaving the place.

Sana:shit,main toh bhul gayi thi......sab wait kar rahe honge snacks ke liye, I-

Sid:bas bas biwi,calm down I have gave them their snacks......now tell me,kya hua?

Sidharth asked wiping her tears.He didn't wanted to see her teary face especially on her birthday,her happy day.Shehnaaz remained silent and didn't say anything just lowered her head.

Sid:okay let me guess,missing your parents?.........Shehnaaz, papa sachme aane wale the but he got an important meeting aur unhone toh subah video call bhi kiya tha.......wait,let me call him again?

Sana:no

Sid:then,missing maa?

By maa,he meant his mom whom Shehnaaz has also started calling maa after their marriage.

Sana:no

Sid:then,you are scaring me, Shehnaaz?

Sana:I am.......just overwhelmed,I don't know how to take in so much happiness

Sid:I thought you have learnt in these 8 years,Mrs. Shukla?

Sidharth teased her and chuckled a bit while keeping his hands on her waist completely. Shehnaaz looked up now and glared at him.

Sana:that's why I was not telling you

Sid:acha baba,I am sorry.......but was that the only reason you were sad?

Sana:no,I was thinking do I really deserve this?

Sid:you deserve everything baby, happiness,love ,care,this family,me,you deserve everything........it is me who don't deserve you,such a pure soul........I don't know if God will ever forgive me for hurting such a pure soul,first you didn't got a perfect proposal like every girl dreams and the circumstances in which we got married......I failed you,Shehnaaz.......I failed in fulfilling your dreams,I even ruined your relationship with your mom more,I am sorry........I didn't wanted our marriage to take in such circumstances, I-

Sana:but what in this do you know what matters to me the most? You........Sidhansh,Samaira, maa ,my happy family matters to me......I know in what circumstances I married you and I don't regret a bit because a marriage is a marriage and I am happy,very happy because of this marriage only,I can proudly say I am Mrs. Shehnaaz Sidharth Shukla.......I am legally yours and you and this family is legally mine

Shehnaaz said in one breath and touched her forehead with his.She slowly lifted her head and kissed his forehead,pouring all her love in that one kiss.Sidharth relaxed listening her words and his heart also calmed down seeing her happy again.

Shehnaaz was so lost in their little moment that she didn't realized when Sidharth made her wear the ring.On feeling a little sensation on her ring finger,she opened her eyes.

Sana:this?

Sid:a beautiful gift for my beautiful wife

Sana:I love you

Shehnaaz said and hugged him tightly.Sidharth chuckled and softly caressed her bare back.

Sid:I hate you ka opposite

Sidharth said knowing well how this sentence annoys her the most.

Sana:kutte,I love you too bol ache se......birthday ke din bhi tang karta hai

Sid:acha baba,I love you too meri jaan

Sidharth wrapped his hands around her and kissed her hair.He relaxed taking in her scent.Their moment would have been more long but how can the duo let this happen.

Samaira/Sidhansh:FAMILY HUG

Both of them shouted and before letting Sidnaaz process their words,the siblings hugged them tightly. Shehnaaz shook her head and chuckled after wrapping her hands around Samaira and Sidhansh.

Sid:har jagah tapak jate hai,romance bigarne(whisper)

Sidhansh:dad aapne kuch kaha?

Sid:ha actually Sidhansh your gift is waiting in the garage for you,go see it

First,Sidhansh gave him a confused look not understanding his words but slowly as the words registered on his mind.He shouted in joy and hugged Sidharth tightly.

Sidhansh:thank you dad,THANK YOU SO MUCH.......I love you

Sidharth thought that now Sidhansh and Samaira will leave but they didn't and continued hugging them.Sidharth whined and Shehnaaz laughed at his whining face.

Sana:nice try,Mr. Shukla

This was it.Their life which changed to get better and even more beautiful.The story of not just two people but a family who grew up from their sad phases of life,tackled their problems with the spirit of togetherness and strength. A family which was in fragments in different places,now stayed united in their home.Life was truly difficult for them but they faced it all giving us all a lesson.No matter how many bad days you are facing in your life right now wait for the good days.They will surely come with the right people,people who will love you selflessly.
