WARNING - Mention of abuse ⚠️

As soon as she entered the dark room ,she shivered in fear knowing she will not be spared now.She quietly moved towards her bed thinking that the devil will not haunt her and maybe is somewhere else.But the next second she was proved wrong.

Girl:Samaira baby

Samaira:I am sorry ,I am sorry.........I was bringing it but the teacher caught me so I couldn't do anything, I am sorry

Samaira said while sobbing and at the sametime controlling her breathing. Aurora glared at her with hate only hate making Samaira shake uncontrollably. She looked at her with fear as she smirked evilly.

Aurora:well you didn't get my stuff but I will let it pass since you have been such a good girl.......oh,yeah I am also willing to share my favourite thing with you also

Aurora clapped and took out a cigarette stick from the pack making Samaira's eyes grow wide.She shook her head frantically but one look from Aurora she had to agree.

Aurora:here,take it

Aurora said after lightening up the cigarette and taking a long drag.Samaira took it with her shaking hand and put it in her mouth.As the smoke filled her lungs,it started to burn.Her mouth and lungs both felt like it was on fire.She started coughing hysterically making Aurora laugh.

Samaira:Noooooo,I can't......please

Aurora:I said take it ,NOW

Aurora shouted at her again making Samaira taste the bitter taste of it and feeling her lungs burn.Her coughing continued as the tears also rolled down her cheeks. She was helpless and also felt completely weak .The burning of her lungs only increased making her more weak.

Aurora:oh this is your family, right?

Samaira looked at her holding her family picture from her red eyes.She tried snatching it but couldn't move her hand.

Aurora:well,I pity you Samaira......just look at the photo only,you are standing in the corner as if you are not a part of the family but still someone insisted you to stand there.......I don't think your family also considers you as their own

Now the burning of the heart overpowered the physical pain.Samaira seemed to actually believe Aurora's words.Yes she was standing at the corner because she reached there last so the photographer insisted her to stand there only as they were already late.But now she forgot those things only Aurora's words replayed in her mind.She took a long drag of the smoke but this time not with pain but in a way to reduce her heart pain.

Aurora:oh,you are enjoying the cigarette.......I know ,the first time,the thrill ,the excitement but not anymore kyunki it's time for punishment

Samaira's eyes grew wide while she dropped the cigarette stick in fear.She saw Aurora coming towards her with something in her mind but in the darkness she couldn't see it.The more close she came,the more visible she could see her and also the thing.

A knife.

Samaira:No please......No,I am sorry

Aurora didn't listen to her and sliced her thigh with the knife making a long ,thick scratch on her thigh.Samaira let out a deep ear piercing shout feeling the immense pain on her thigh.Blood spurted out from her wound and also some of it fell on the ground.

Samaira:PLEASE STOP,PLEASE.......NOOOO

Sana:Samaira get up,it's a dream

Shehnaaz shouted trying to wake up Samaira. She was very scared when she heard Samaira's shout and immediately came to her.It was not five minutes also when Sidharth reached there.They were terrified seeing her twisting and shaking badly in the bed while shouting .True,her room was soundproof but today she forgot to lock it.

Sid:Samaira please get up

Samaira:No leave,please leave me.......No

Shehnaaz didn't said anything after that she just kept looking at Samaira. She was in shock seeing the girl smiling,teasing and doing fun with her was so much in pain and didn't say anything to anyone, not even her.She also didn't know it was the first time or it had happened earlier also.

Sid:bacha please......get up........baby, please

Sidharth's voice choked as tears flowed out of his eyes seeing her screaming in pain. His heart broke and once again he felt like a loser.He couldn't do anything just see his daughter crying in pain.He quickly pulled her head on his lap and hugged her trying to comfort her.

Sid:bacha I am here,nobody will harm you.........I will protect you

Sidharth whispered things in her ears and in some way it worked,she didn't make any sound for a small time.He caressed her hairs and wiped her tears but again she let out a loud shout.This time Shehnaaz also jolted from her shock state.

Sana:Sidharth we have to take her to the hospital, we can't wait anymore

Shehnaaz said and wiped her tears.She carefully moved out of the bed while Sidharth held Samaira in his arms.They both quickly moved towards their car and drove towards the hospital. Shehnaaz sat with Samaira in the passenger seat.

Sana:Samaira

Shehnaaz said softly yet with a broken voice while she caressed Samaira's hairs.She was not shouting now but her tears and shaking didn't stop.Shehnaaz kept a hand on her mouth to control her sobbing as this was not the time for her to break.Then something important striked her and she took out her phone.

Sana:Shefali paunch gayi tu?

Shehnaaz asked Shefali as she knew that Shefali's flight was gonna land today and till now she would have reached the apartment. She didn't wanted to trouble Shefali as she knew would be tired but had no option .

Shefali:ha par tu ese kyu baat kar rahi hai?.......kuch hua hai Sana?

Shefali asked as she could sense the sadness in Shehnaaz's voice.

Sana:Shefali main tujhe sab badh mein bata dungi but please abhi tu Sidharth ke ghar ja sakti hai,Sidhansh akela hai........door khula hai hum jaldbaazi mein bandh karna bhul gaye

Shefali:thik hai main ja rahi hu

Shefali didn't waited anymore second and picked up her luggage and started walking towards Sidharth's apartment. She could sense the seriousness in her voice and knew it was a very serious matter so didn't asked further.

Sana:thanks Shefu ,I know tu bhi abhi aayi hai aur maine tujhe aate sath kaa-

Shefali:chittar khaegi Sana tu.........bestfriend ko koyi thank you bolta hai, acha main paunch gayi......khyaal rakh apna

Shehnaaz nodded and cut the call .Sidharth looked at her from the rear view mirror and gave a thankful nod to which Shehnaaz nodded with a smile.In all this,he had completely forgot that Sidhansh was alone in the home in the night and he was going to repeat the same mistake but Shehnaaz prevented it.He looked at Samaira who wasn't calm till now and was still shaking making him more worry.

Please bacha be strong,I can't lose you

Strange ,right?How life changes in a second? One second you are happy and the next second you are unhappy,one second you are shouting in joy while the other second you are crying .True,whoever have said this that Life is unpredictable. Anything can happen in a fraction of seconds.The lines in Kal ho na ho are sad yet so true " Har ghadi badal rahi hai dhup zindagi ,chao hai kahi ,kahi hai dhup zindagi.......har pal yaha jee bhar jeo, jo hai sama kal ho na ho ". But you know what helps us to live in this unpredictable life? Hope.Hope of seeing the morning sun,hope of seeing our loved ones,hope of accomplishing our goals.

Sid:doctor, how is she?

Sidharth asked the doctor as soon as he saw him coming out of the room where Samaira was laid down. Shehnaaz also looked at the doctor and waited for him to say something .

Doctor:she is fine now ,I have given her the injection which will help her to sleep........she was having a nightmare, a memory to be exact and it was so strong and intense that she was not able to get out from it.......I also can say that it was not the first time she was having such nightmare because she was fighting to get out from it but due to lack of sleep, her body was weak and couldn't overpower it.......I think she is having insomnia but until the blood test report comes,I can't surely say and also the reason behind it

(Idk if it's medically right or not.....I am just writing according to my imagination)

The doctor said and moved out from there leaving a devastating Sidharth and Shehnaaz behind.Shehnaaz couldn't handle the pressure of such heavy words and stumbled when Sidharth caught her.He was also in a bad state but knew that Shehnaaz was in worse.

In this few months ,she has really become close to Samaira

Sana:Sidharth, unhone kya bola........nightmare, memory aur insomnia......how?

Sidharth hugged her as she broke down in his arms.She couldn't just believe that Samaira was suffering from so many things but hadn't said a word to her.She felt useless and utterly irresponsible that how she also couldn't discover out about her problems .

Sidharth carefully held her and made her sit on the hospital bench.He tried removing his arms but Shehnaaz held it more tightly and cried in his chest.Sidharth sighed but let her do whatever she wanted.He was also breaking, his baccha whom he just wanted to treat like a princess was fighting her problems alone.Indeed she was strong,a warrior and it made him proud but he would have been more happy if she had shared her problems with for once.

Sana:Sidharth this is all my fault.........I couldn't see her pain

Sid:no,Shehnaaz it's not........I could have also seen her pain but I also didn't

Shehnaaz was not sobbing now but the pain in her heart was still there.Sidharth tried to calm her but somewhere in her mind she was blaming herself. How careless of her not to sense her pain? Little did she know that it was just written on their destinies and she was not at fault. Not even Sidharth.

Sid:Shehnaaz do you need water?

Sana:No......you?

Sid:no

Sana:I am sorry,you are holding me from so long.......your hand must be paining,let me-

Sid:shhh,stay like this only.........my pain will not reduce but atleast I feel that I am not alone,you are here with me aur tumne hi toh kaha tha jab hum sath hote hai toh har problem choti ho jati hai

Sidharth said and kissed her forehead while her arms tightened around her.Shehnaaz looked at him surprisingly as he remembered her words and also kept it in his mind.She also hugged his chest finally feeling a bit of her pressure going away.The pain won't reduce until she sees Samaira,fully perfect and healthy but being with Sidharth, her sukoon atleast she will get her strength back.

Sid:wo thik toh ho jayegi?

Sidharth asked with a fear evident in his voice .He wanted to be strong and believe in his daughter but couldn't stop the fear building up in his heart afterall he is a father.He was scared thinking of the negative outcomes.

Sana:ofcourse she is a fighter,bohot strong hai

Nurse:Sir,doctor aapko bula rahe hai

Their moment was interrupted by a nurse and unwillingly they both separated.Sidharth looked at her as if sensing her discomfort and anxiety and cupped her face.

Sid:I am coming in a few minutes,take care of yourself and Samaira

Sana:come soon

Sidharth nodded and stood up from his seat.He didn't wanted to leave her alone but meeting the doctor was also important. He knew now he had to take care of Samaira properly and at the same time can't let Shehnaaz be weak.He loved the strong and positive Shehnaaz who would never lose hope so now he was determined to not lose that Shehnaaz. He knew he can't say his feelings to her now as Samaira was their first priority now but ofcourse he can show his love by his actions.

Sana:Samaira

Shehnaaz slowly opened the door of Samaira's room and entered inside.She looked at Samaira who was lying on the bed looking pale with her tear stained face.All Shehnaaz wanted was to hug her and cry her heart out but she controlled herself. She moved towards Samaira and sat beside her.She moved her hand towards her face and caressed it.

Sana:I am sorry,Samaira........apne pyaar ko pane ke liye itni selfish ho gayi thi ki I didn't took care of you, I failed aunty

Sidhansh:who is there?

Sidhansh asked as soon as he saw the lights of the living room on.He entered the room and was shocked to see Shefali standing there drinking water.Shefali quickly kept the glass on the table and turned towards Sidhansh.

Shefali:hey Sid

Sidhansh:shefu di what are you doing here?

Shefali:right,what I am doing here?

Shefali whispered and started thinking about some excuse.

Shefali:I came to meet Sana?

Sidhansh:at 2 a.m. and with bags?

Sidhansh said suspiciously looking at the bags kept on the chair.Shefali gulped in anticipation and started thinking something else .

Soch Shefali soch

Shefali:wo yeah,you see itne dino infact mahino se nahi mili so bas aa gayi aur waise bhi I had called Sana to inform her......aur ye bag mein gifts hai sabke liye

Sidhansh still couldn't believe her.Why would she come in our house at such early hours ? But then his mind reminded him that the distance between them also was so long .He was still convinced but nodded at Shefali.

Sidhansh:ohh okay

Shefali:and why are you awake at this time? Go to sleep Sid,you have school in the morning

Sidhansh:yeah

Something is wrong

Sidhansh thought in his mind but still agreed to Shefali.He thought to find out about everything in the morning as he felt that she was hiding something. Shefali sighed in relief seeing him going back and just prayed one thing.
