Sid:where are you Shehnaaz?

Sana:uffo baba,das minute ke liye hi bahar aayi hu aur tujhe itni tension ho rahi hai..........ghar mein kuch chize khatam ho gayi thi wahi lene aayi thi

Shehnaaz said on the call as she picked up a packet of flour and put it in her basket.She had checked that a few things in the kitchen have finished so thought to go to shopping on her own but what she hadn't expected was Sidharth calling her after 5 minutes of her leaving.

Sid:main toh leke aaya tha na sara saman kal ?

Sana:ha,laya tha but chize aaj hi khatam ho gayi

Sid:toh mujhe bhi bol deti main bhi chalta tere sath

Sidharth said rubbing his forehead .Since the time he found out that Shehnaaz was not in home ,he had started feeling anxious. The anxiety was because of his feelings or some other thing that he didn't knew but for now,he just wanted her home.

Sana:chill Sidharth main thi- AHHHH

Shehnaaz shouted on the other side making Sidharth more scared.But before he could ask her something the phone call got disconnected .

Sid:dammit.......par Shehnaaz chillayi kyu? Usse kuch-

Samaira:hi,dad have you seen naazu?

Samaira asked interrupting Sidharth. He turned towards her with the same scared face making her also feel that something was not good.She moved towards him and asked him in a worried tone.

Samaira:dad what happened? Everything is okay,right?

Sid:No Samaira, I was talking with Shehnaaz and suddenly she shouted........I was going to ask her what happened but the call got disconnected, I am scared what if-

Samaira:dad please, nothing has happened, okay?........maybe the call got disconnected because of bad network,naazu is okay

Samaira said trying to calm him but from inside she was also getting worried.She just prayed that everything was okay and nothing bad had happened with her naazu.She sat on the couch and also forced Sidharth to sit .

Samaira:dad try again calling her

Sid:okay

Sidharth nodded and again  started calling her but his call went unanswered stressing them both.Sidharth again tried calling her knowing he wouldn't be in peace until she picks up.The feeling which had developed inside him only intensified more at the thought of something bad happening to her.

Please be okay,Shehnaaz........I can't lose you

Samaira:where she had gone,btw?

Sid:I don't know........she just told me that she had gone for some shopping

Samaira nodded with an unsure and worried look . She looked at Sidharth who was pacing to and fro in the room .She wanted to smile seeing him so worried and say that it is love but the  situation was not right unfortunately. She was glad that Sidhansh was at school and was away from this situation .

Sid:I can't wait anymore.......I am going,Samaira

Sidharth said abruptly startling Samaira also.She stood up from the couch and looked at him shockingly.

Samaira:dad where you will find her?........we shouldn't act impulsively now,we have to act smartly,please dad

Samaira said and kept a comforting hand on his shoulder.She was also tensed as it was fifteen minutes now but they had to act calmly and with smartness.

Sid:I don't know Samaira but I can't loose her

Sidharth said and hugged her .Samaira also wrapped her hands around him and rubbed his back.She knew he was feeling low and she had to take care of him because Shehnaaz is not here now. She could sense that actually he was acknowledging his feelings now.Now,she just prayed Shehnaaz to come as soon as possible.

For Sidharth, he couldn't say what he was feeling now but indeed was scared,way too much scared. He was feeling like he was going to lose a part of him ,a very important part.His mind was occupied of all the possibilities that could happen. He hated to think about all those things but he was a practical person so his mind was also thinking practically.

Sid:I can't stay here and just wait

Sidharth sighed and broke the hug.Samaira looked at his expressions and nodded knowing she wouldn't be able to stop him anymore.Sidharth picked up his phone and car keys and was going towards the door when they heard the doorbell ring.

Samaira:naazu

Samaira quickly dashed towards the door and  opened it.She uttered only one word as her face horrified seeing Shehnaaz's condition. There was a small bandaid on her forehead while her hand was wrapped by a white bandage.Shehnaaz smiled as soon as she saw Samaira and waved at her.

Samaira:naazu,What the hell?

Samaira said and looked at Shehnaaz properly searching for anymore injuries but sighed in relief when found none.She looked at Sidharth who hadn't  uttered a word just was looking at her with his hands folded on his chest.

Is he in shock?

Sana:Sidharth

Shehnaaz said after noticing him .She gulped as she saw his eyebrows furrowed and his hands on his chest. Before she could say anything, Sidharth grabbed her uninjured arm and pulled her inside.He made her sit on the couch and kneeled infront of her.

Sid:kudh ko samajti kya ho? Mahanta ki devi matlab pure ghar ki parwah sirf tumhe hai......chalo maan liya bohot khyaal hai tumhe hum sabki but iska matlab ye nahi ki kudh ki care karna bhul jao......Shehnaaz how can you be so careless? Mujhe bol deti ,main chalta tumhare sath ya phir Samaira ko hi bol deti......I am sure wo bhi apni naazu ko maana nahi karti but nahi tumhe kudh jana tha bina bataye.......yaha jaan ja rahi thi meri,aab kuch bologi?

Samaira:aab aap bolne doge tab bolengi na

Samaira whispered but Sidharth heard her and glared at her.Samaira did the lip zip action and lowered her head not wanting to face the wrath of the angry lion.

Sana:wo....wo jab tumse baat kar rahi thi tab achanak se mere aage ek toy car aa gayi jiske wajah se I tripped and fell on the ground........forehead pe ek scratch lagi aur palm pe bhi scratch lag gayi aur khun nikalna shuru ho gaya.......infection ho jata isliye kudh clinic jake tetanus ka injection lagwa liya aur iske karan late bhi ho gayi........I am sorry

Shehnaaz said and cutely held her ears apologizetically. She knew she was at fault so without anymore talks quickly apologized.Though her heart pained hearing him shouting at her but she knew that he was also concerned.

Sid:gadhi,bilkul dyaan nahi rakh sakti apna

Sidharth said and lightly tapped her forehead.Shehnaaz frowned and glared at him while rubbing her forehead. Now, she was also getting annoyed because all the fault was not hers,half the fault was of the toy car also.

Wo kyu aaya mere samne?!!

Sana:itni care kyu kar raha hai meri......pyaar mein hai tu mere?

(Role reversed😉)

Shehnaaz asked curiously while Sidharth eyes grew wide.Samaira's head instantly looked up and she looked at Shehnaaz with an open mouth after hearing her blunt question. Sidharth composed himself and gave her a blank stare.

Sid:what?

Sana:pyaar karta hai mujhse?

Sid:pagal hai tu

Sidharth said and immediately stood up  while Shehnaaz looked at him with a bored look.She knew he was also feeling those emotions,then why isn't he accepting? His eyes which were honest where showing only one emotion,Love.

Kutta kab accept karega?

Sid:Samaira iski ache se patti kar de.......I guess girne ki wajah se dimaag chalna band ho gaya hai

Sidharth said and quickly left the room leaving the two behind.As soon as he left the room,both of them burst in laughter.Samaira somehow controlled her laughter and sat beside Shehnaaz who was still giggling .

Samaira:I had told we could help him naazu but uske liye apne aap ko nukshan pauchahne nahi bola tha

Sana:pagal hai tu.........tereko lagta hai maine ye janbhuj ke kiya? No,Samaira ye sachi galti se hua hai

Samaira:phir ye itni saari phatti?

Samaira asked looked at her palm which was wrapped in a white bandage.The way Shehnaaz said about the small accident, she was sure that the injures wouldn't have been so bad then why the long bandage?

Sana:doctor toh bandaid hi laga raha tha but maine bola bandage laga do thori sympathy milegi.......lekin yaha toh dant mil gayi

Samaira:pagal hai tu

Samaira said mimicking Shehnaaz while Shehnaaz pouted sadly.Samaira giggled and just prayed that their plan goes well and Sidharth realizes his feelings.

Sid:par sahi toh kaha usne mujhe itni kyu fikar hone lagi thi mujhe ?esa kyu lag raha tha ki meri jaan ja rahi thi?

Sidharth said as he sat on his bed and thought about the day's events.He couldn't think properly and most importantly he couldn't understand himself for the first time .It was then he remembered his father's words.

Flashback

Sid:mom aap yitni care kyu karte ho meri aab toh main baby bhi nahi hu?

A ten year old Sidharth innocently asked his mother.He was confused seeing his mother care for him so much like feeding him food,massaging his hair with oil and whenever he feels pain on getting hurt ,his mother would be the first coming to him.

Smitha:ye kaisa sawal hai Sidharth?.......I care for you because I love you bacha

Sidharth:main aapka bacha huna toh aap dad ki mere se zyada care kyu karte ho?

Smitha got surprised by hearing his question but she also giggled seeing her little boy's jealousy for his father. Sidharth made a face like he was offended by her giggling and turned the other side.

Armaan:kyunki main aapki mumma ka soul mate hu aur wo meri

Armaan Shukla,Sidharth's father and a strict yet loving teacher of a renowned school said .He wrapped his hands around his wife and kissed her forehead while she blushed and lightly smacked his arm.Sidharth looked fondly at his parents as he really adored them and considered them the best couple.

Sid:soul mate wo kya hota hai dad?

Sidharth curiously asked his father who laughed lightly and then replied him.

Armaan:soulmate is a person with whom you have an immediate connection the moment you meet,a connection so strong that you are drawn to them in such a way you have never experienced before.As this connection develops over time,you experience a love so deep,strong and complex that you begin to doubt that  you have ever truly loved anyone prior.............a soulmate whose face you want to see each and every moment of day and never get bored,he/she is the person that will truly understand you ,sometimes without even you speaking out your problem..........you want to grow old with them,you want to experience all shades of love with them and also want to bring a smile on their face everytime.......aur ek khaas baat batau Sidharth, agar hum dur chale bhi jate hai phir bhi ye soul ka connection rehta hi hai uss insaan ke sath

Armaan said lovingly while looking at his son and wife time to time.Smitha smiled and kept her head on his shoulder.Sidharth nodded finally processing the words though few words he didn't understood. But was sure that with time he will understand.

Sid:but how will I find that person?

Armaan:There's no hiding from your soulmate, they will find you......you will fall and they will stay

Flashback over

Thanks dad!!

Sidharth smiled and opened his eyes .He finally had the answer of his questions and understood his feelings.He knew who was his soulmate was and understood the connection fully now.Ruhi was his love but was not his soulmate. His soulmate was Shehnaaz because from day one he had felt the connection between them.He remembered the time he had questioned the connection which felt to him so old yet refreshing.

Sidharth:do I really love her?

He finally let out the one doubt and heard the response that his heart gave.His lips curved up in a beautiful way while his mind was also danced with joy.Her giggles,her smile,their happy moments and their kiss.The same kiss which he considered a mistake now meant so much to him.He placed a hand on his heart and looked at his phone screen.It was their family photo.He smiled looking at the smiling faces and especially looking at Shehnaaz.

I love you Shehnaaz

He wanted to shout it out loud but controlled himself and stood up from his bed.He looked at the sky which was clear,not too cloudy not too sunny.It was clear just like his mind.His mind which was  clouded with his confusion was clear now after he realized his feelings.But then a fear gripped him as his heart which was earlier rejoicing ,remembered his past making him also a bit scared.

But do I deserve this love?A second chance?
