Sid:mom,you can't do this........Samaira is my responsibility and always will be mine

Sidharth said sternly and with a determination in his voice.Yes,Shehnaaz has become close to his daughter and son and very nicely taken care of them also but that doesn't mean he will give up his responsibilities and burden Shehnaaz with them.Most importantly who knows till how much time she will be there with them.One day she had to go, said his mind as it remembered Samaira's words.

Starting life with someone else

Smitha:Sidharth,I am not snatching your right nor your responsibility......I am just trying to help you and Samaira

Sid:how?

Smitha:Samaira still isn't willing to talk to you ,sharing her problems is a far away thing.......do you know if she really is comfortable or not? Did she tell you if she is really happy here or not? Did she share with you about her friends?........no,she didn't because she is still hasn't forgiven you, she isn't fully comfortable with you till now.....and most importantly,Did she ask you anything about Ruhi's death? Do you know if she is bottling up her emotions or not?

Blank.

Sidharth's and Shehnaaz's both minds were blank.Sidharth didn't had any answers to his mom's questions because Samaira didn't actually had a proper conversation about them and today when she was having he pushed her away.Shehnaaz's mind was blank ,she didn't knew how she should react.All the things Smitha said were right but still was she ready for such a big responsibility?

Smitha:By giving Shehnaaz Samaira's responsibility I am helping both of you........Samaira will be able to share her problems, emotions with someone and Shehnaaz would help her with them........you will also be assured that Samaira is atleast sharing her things with someone if not you,this way it will be helpful for you as well

Sid:mom but when will she share her problem,feelings with me?......when will she be comfortable......with me?

Sidharth's voice choked as he said those words .He couldn't help but feel helpless ,having his daughter infront of his eyes but still he can't say that she truly is with him.How complicated. But he has only done this.He and Ruhi is the cause of this .

Sana:Sidharth

Shehnaaz kept a comforting hand on his shoulder and gave a assuring smile but from inside she was also crying seeing his state.She knew he was trying his best to mend things but the damage was too big.Her heart pained seeing both father-daughter state.

God,how much more pain will you cause them?

Smitha:Give her time,bacha......she will understand and forgive you soon but at the same time don't stop making efforts........I am sure she will be comfortable with you soon,and now Shehnaaz......will you take her responsibility?

Shehnaaz nervously gulped hearing her and at the same time Sidharth looked at her.He didn't wanted to burden her but at the sametime knew that if there's someone with whom Samaira cam open up.It's Shehnaaz. He kept his hands on hers making Shehnaaz instantly look at him.His eyes also shone with hope just like his mother's .

Shehnaaz gave a small smile to him and nodded. She took a deep breath and replied.

Sana:I will aunty,I will take her responsibility

Sid:you are sure,right?I am very grateful to you that you agreed to mom but at the same time don't want to burden you........I don't want you to be caged in my family problems and ruin your life and career

Shehnaaz immediately put a hand on his mouth and glared at him.She was angry at him.One time, he says that she is family and the other time he says that he is burdening her with his family.

God,this man will surely make me mad !!

Sana:shut up,just shut up.......first of all ,it's OUR family and secondly you are not burdening me......didn't you hear when I said that I consider Samaira as my own,she is similar to what Sidhansh is to me and I will do anything to make her happy and reunite her fully with OUR family ,got it?

Shehnaaz said while looking into his eyes making him instantly nod at his sherawali mata . She was going to remove her hand when her eyes started observing his facial features. From eyes to nose,to cheeks ,to how his eyebrows scrunched when he was confused.She just felt to keep staring at him all day.

Maybe I won't be with him in future but atleast I am here with him in his present and that matters !!

Sid:umghy

Sidharth tried speaking telling her to remove her hand to which Shehnaaz apologized and quickly removed it.He saw the hurt look in her eyes but he was also helpless. He didn't wanted her to develop any feelings for him and also at the sametime he was stopping his heart from feeling those weird feelings and also making him feel.But he failed to realize that the more he will try to go away from her ,the more he will get close to her.Such was their connection.

Sana:acha,Sidharth main soch rahi thi ki?

Sid:kya?

Sidharth said while still not looking at her and looking at the walls.Shehnaaz thought that something was wrong but soon shrugged it off thinking it was just her misunderstanding.

Sana:tu na mujhse shaadi karle?

Sidharth snapped his head towards her and looked at her with shock,complete shock.This was the second time,he was shocked.Soon he started remembering Samaira's words making him angry.He controlled his anger and asked her through gritted teeth.

Sid:aur wo kyu?

Sana:aree dekh jaise aunty ne mujhe Samaira ki responsibility di aur Sidhansh ki toh already mujh pe thi chahe tu maane ya na maane isliye agar tu mujhse shaadi karega tu waise main humesha yaha reh jaungi aur aunty ki bhi wish ache se puri ho jayegi,what say?

Shehnaaz said grinning and teasing him making Sidharth more angry.He was not angry on her nor Samaira, he was angry of the fact that everyone so hell bend  to make him marry.He had already gone through that phase and what the outcome was everybody knew.Still they wanted this?He was angry on the fact that he wasn't enough for his children .He was angry on himself that how much he tried he won't be able to take that step any soon.

Sid:SHEHNAAZ SHUT UP

Sana:Sidharth, I was jok-

Shehnaaz frowned and immediately started apologizing on hearing his shout.It was a genuine joke which she said ignoring her heart's saying not to do it.She just wanted to make him laugh and also expected a sarcastic answer in return not a yelling.Sidharth didn't listened to her and moved out of the room.

It was seriously a joke

Sana:Samaira

Shehnaaz entered Samaira's room to talk with her but stopped as soon as she saw her sleeping on her bed.She sighed and moved towards her and caressed her hairs.Just the way a mother would do. She never looked at herself in that way but anyone who would see her,would recognize  her as their mom.She didn't knew when that motherly side and instinct developed in her but she was happy and happily accepted her this side also.She kissed her forehead lovingly and gazed at her.

Sana:I promise I will help you overcome  your every problem,pain and fear......I love you Samaira

She looked at her for the last time and left her room coming face to face with Sidharth. Their chests were pressed together making them realize their close proximity to each other. Shehnaaz huffed and moved towards the left side but Sidharth blocked her way.She again tried going towards the right side but he again blocked her way.

Sana:what?

Shehnaaz asked angrily .She hadn't forgotten his yelling . Sidharth gulped hearing her angry tone but knew it was his fault.So,he took a deep breath and looked at her.

Sid:I am sorry

Sana:Seriously, Sidharth sorry?.........you know I was just kidding that time ,I didn't wanted to make you angry but you got angry and most importantly left without hearing me out

Sid:I know ,I know.......I am sorry I was just stressed thinking about today and whatever happened,I felt I was not enough for my children

Sana:Sidharth

Shehnaaz softly called and cupped his face making him look at her intently .She saw how tired and stressed out his face was and immediately softened and cursed herself for not understanding his situation.

Gadhi,tujhe toh samajna chahiye tha uski situation par nahi tune bhi gussa kar diya uspe

Sana:it's okay Sidharth, I am sorry I didn't understand your situation.......I shouldn't have joked and secondly you are enough okay........just there are few things right now that are not possible to be handled by you alone,hmm?

Sid:hmm

Sana:I am going to check up on Sidhansh.....you can check up on Samaira, she is sleeping but still you can go and see her

Sid:hmm

Shehnaaz nodded at him and made her way towards Sidhansh's room.As she got closer to his room,she only got nervous thinking about him and the guilt also started rising.The guilt of ignoring him for the two days.But was it her fault? Partially yes

She felt betrayed as Sidhansh didn't told her about Samaira's plan but it wasn't his fault completely also because Samaira had made him promise to not tell.But in her anger ,she forgot it and somewhere blamed Sidhansh.Now,the guilt was finally engulfing her.

How heartless of me do that......it wasn't his fault,dammit Sana

Sana:so how's GOM doing?

Shehnaaz entered his room with her chirpy voice trying to lighten the atmosphere. She saw Sidhansh who was sitting on his bed and idly looking at the window and now he turned hearing her voice.

Sidhansh:GOM?

Sana:Grumpy old man cuz nowadays you literally don't seem like a kid

Shehnaaz said while sitting beside him and making a cringe face while saying it.Sidhansh chuckled hearing her words for sometime and then looked at her properly.

Sidhansh:I am sorry for shouting at you and Samaira.....I didn't mean it

Sana:I know so now tell me what's going in your heart?

Shehnaaz said pointing towards his heart and cutely raising her eyebrows. Sidhansh surprisingly looked towards thinking how always she gets to know what's going on inside him.

Sidhansh:Will you leave me?

Sidhansh finally her the one question which was roaming in his mind since the time he heard Samaira say those words.Shehnaaz looked shocked hearing his question but slowly understood from where it was coming from.

Silly boy,he really scared me!!

Sana:no ,my kiddo I won't leave you.......it was the thing that was troubling you?you scared me......I was thinking what happened to you all of a sudden

Sidhansh:are you sure you won't leave me?

Shehnaaz took a deep breath and looked at him intensely knowing that she has to make him understand that nothing is forever in this life.By seeing him ,she remembered the time when she asked her grandfather the same question after hearing about his bad health from her mother.Her grandfather assured her that he wouldn't leave her but after ten days when he died,she was broken and accused him for lying to her.It was then and also with time,she understood that no person is permanent in your life.She can't keep Sidhansh in that false hope and break him afterwards.

Sana:Sidhansh, nothing is forever in our lives whether it's the luxury,the love,the comfort or even the people.......the person who has come to this world, one day he has to leave this world......maybe I can't promise you to be forever with you ,but I can promise you that I will always there for you.........whenever you need me ,I will be there for you ,whenever you will miss me,I will be there with you ,beside you.........maybe not always physically but always as a memory,I will always love you and will not leave you not until I take my last-

Sidhansh:stop it,stop it naazu

Sidhansh said loudly and hugged her immediately knowing where this talk was going .Shehnaaz wrapped her hands around him and softly rubbed his back as he cried.She didn't wanted to see him cry but knew this was important for him.She whispered soft things in his ears calming him.She also let out a few tears thinking about leaving him,her kiddo.The same kid who captured her heart in their first meet.For his sake,she was even ready to stay unmarried her whole life and just stay with him for his and her happiness. There was no comparison of her love for him.

But was love ever compared or measured? NO

For Sidhansh, he has already lost his mother and now didn't wanted to lose naazu.In his wildest dream also he couldn't imagine Shehnaaz going away from his life like his mother.She has become an important part of his life and always will be.In this he also failed to realize that death was inevitable irrespective of the fact how close that person was to someone.

Such a cruel yet important part of life!!

Remembered someone reading this part? I too remembered actually two persons.......Sidharth,I still can't forget you and will never forget you also,you stay in my heart and always will.......but don't know why I always cry remembering you? You are so close yet so far.......miss you Sidharth and dadu(Though the part which I wrote in this story was nothing similar in my grandfather's case but yeah,it was unexpected and I was broken and still am)
