Silence.Only silence could be heard in the store ,everyone's head  snapped in their direction.Sidharth couldn't help but curse himself for pressing the speaker button.

While Samaira's eyes went wide on hearing his voice.She quickly zipped up her dress and exited the changing room.

Samaira:this idiot.....I am so close to kill him(murmurs)

Samaira looked at Sidharth and gestured him to pass her phone but Sidharth shook his head.Inspite of knowing that he might be ruining things more but his daughter's safety was more important to him.

Samaira looked at the people who were looking towards them and not having an option left.She dragged him towards a corner and answered the call.

Samaira:yes,I am dead.....and currently you are talking to Samaira's ghost

Caller:so ghosts talk by using phone ,woah,I didn't knew......anyways how are you?

Samaira:for now angry with you

Caller:what-why? Did I called at a wrong time sammy?

Samaira:yes,at a wrong time and at a wrong place grumpy pants (sarcastically)

Mohit:hey,don't use that name......and what do you-

Before Mohit could say anything, Samaira interrupted and spoke in a irritated tone.

Samaira:Mohit you are on speaker and currently you have scared half of the mall

Mohit:what,really? But I am not so scary........WHAT ,YOU ARE ON SPEAKER AND WITH WHOM?

Samaira:Geez,my ears( in her mind)

Samaira felt to say aww hearing his first line but the next line or rather you should say shout made her regret it .Then she looked at Sidharth who had also closed his one ear due to the loud voice.

Samaira:stop shouting and with dad

Mohit:WHAT ,NO,holy-shit,I mean sorry uncle........hi uncle ,sorry for my stupid behavior, just wanted to say Samaira to come soon and he is asking a lot about you......argh,he is actually irritating me a lot,atleast talk to him once......bye uncle,bye sammy,miss me

The call got disconnected after  all his ranting making Samaira sigh in relief. She looked at Sidharth who was already staring at her with a questionable expression .Samaira grinned and then sarcastically replied.

Samaira:well,that's my bestfriend cum big bro to you

Sid:who is he?.....that is looking for you

Samaira:umm......his small cousin brother,we three used to have a lot of fun together....that's why he is missing me and want to play with me

Baal baal bachi Samaira

Samaira lied as she couldn't tell who this he is.She sighed in relief when she saw Sidharth nodding and accepting her excuse.

Sid:it was your bestfriend?where did you guys meet?

Samaira:well that's a long story ,we can talk about it while walking......first let me change

Sid:wait

Samaira stopped in her tracks and looked at him confusingly. Sidharth examined her from top to bottom and a smile formed on his lips.

Indeed it was looking good at her and she looked gorgeous, he thought.

Sid:you look beautiful in this dress

Samaira:thanks

Samaira said shyly not knowing what else to say .

Sid:you go change........do you want any other dress or tops ?

Samaira:no,no I don't need anything......I guess this dress is enough for me

Sid:Samaira one dress is not enough and we will not come everyday for shopping

Samaira:I know but seriously it's fine dad

Samaira said emphasizing on the word dad.She was really not feeling well to do more shopping. Actually she was thinking what's the use of buying so many clothes as she has to go back after 2 or 3 weeks and in her hostel room she already has so many clothes.

Sid:fine but if you need anything you will tell me straight away without thinking anything, okay?

Samaira:crystal clear

After changing her dress ,Sidharth payed the bill and both moved out of the store.Sidharth wanted to ask her about the call but also wasn't sure if she wanted to share it with him or not.As if knowing what he was thinking, Samaira broke the ice.

Samaira:Mohit,is Maria's son........he is my best friend but more a big brother to me ,we had met for the first time when I had went to Maria's house vacations

She never thought she will be the one to start a conversation with him but guess destiny had some other plans .So keeping aside all the anger,she tried to start the conversation.

I can do this much as a payback for the dress she bought.

Sid:I had met Maria but didn't knew she had a son?

Samaira:actually he stays in London because of his studies and just comes in vacations

Sid:so,you know Maria's family well?

Samaira:yeah,I used to live with them in my vacations, they all are very sweet and loving especially Mohit,he used to irritate me a lot but at the end he also loved me and bought me chocolate and soft toys even he was the one who bought me my first skate-

Samaira suddenly stopped and realized how deep she went .I was going to say about my passion to him,shit.She might have started to open up to him but still was keeping in mind not to forgave him and not crossing the line she had set up before coming here.

Sidharth was keenly observing her and felt happy to see her smile genuinely not the fake one that she does when she is with him.Sidharth knew from the  beginning whenever she faked a smile.He was sad to know that he was not the reason of her smile but also was grateful and happy knowing that she got the happiness that he was unable to give.

His trance also broke when Samaira suddenly stopped. He looked at her with furrowed eyebrows.Last word he heard was Skate.

Sid:what happened Maira?

Samaira:nothing.......can we go to Ansh and naazu now?

Samaira asked in a stern voice and putting her emotionless mask again.

Sid:but- okay, sure

He didn't want to force her so agreed to her.Innerly ,he was happy that atleast she opened a bit to him.He had the hope that with these baby steps,he will win her back.But one word caught his attention willingly or unwillingly.

Skate? What skate?

Sana:common Sidhansh, you can do it

Shehnaaz shouted from behind of Sidhansh where she was sitting.Sidhansh held the ball and focused on his target,the bowling pins

So ,currently they were in the bowling center .Shehnaaz had her turn and she hit six bowling pins.They were going to another gaming center but Sidhansh requested Shehnaaz that he will also do this.

Shehnaaz instantly disagreed because the ball was heavy and Sidhansh will not be able to hold it.But can anyone win against her kiddo and especially her? Nah

Sidhansh bowled and the ball hit 5 pins.Sidhansh wished he could hit all the pins but thinking that atleast he hit five pins.He smiled and patted his back.

Sana:wow,he really did kiddo.......I'm impressed

Shehnaaz said while ruffling his hairs while Sidhansh made an annoyed yet cute face.

Sana:so let's go,I think it's a bit late now.......I will message Sidharth and ask him to meet in the food court

Shehnaaz turned and was going to message Sidharth but she heard Sidhansh's voice .

Sidhansh:naazu

Sana:yes

Sidhansh:why did you gestured me to say no to Sam?

Shehnaaz was taken off guard by his sudden question.She looked at him to know if he was hurt by her cuz she has seen how close he has become to Samaira. But only found his questioning eyes looking at her.

Sana:kiddo I am sorry if it hurt you,I  just wanted -

Sidhansh:Sam and dad to spend time together

Sidhansh said completing her sentence making Shehnaaz eyes went wide.Sidhansh chuckled looking at her and pulled her cheeks.

Sidhansh:aww,how cute

Shehnaaz slapped his hand away and gave him a angry look.

Sana:not funny

Sidhansh:actually it is,how cute you looked with your eyes wide and mouth in open in a  O shape (laughing)

Sana:Sidhansh.....stop being Sherlock Holmes

Sidhansh:okay,okay sorry.......and on a serious note,I have also noticed the tension between them but don't know what happened between them

Sana:me too......that's why I wanted both of them to spend time alone so that they could sort out their problems

Sidhansh:ohh

Shehnaaz prayed in her mind that everything went the way she had wished. She didn't wanted any more trouble now and just wanted this family to be together.

Sidhansh:by the way naazu,are you sad or angry with me?

Sana:no......why would I be?

Sidhansh:I didn't spent time with you in these days ,that's why

Sidhansh said nervously while scratching his nape.Shehnaaz looked at him surprisingly at first and then held his hand softly.

Sana:no kiddo,I am neither angry nor sad.......and I know you have got your sister after so many years so you want to spend all your time with her and trust me it's okay with me because your happiness matters the most to me.......and about spending time together, we are doing now and will surely do again also,so don't worry

Sidhansh smiled warmly at her and then both started walking towards the food court .

Sidhansh:you know she is not bad(whisper)

Sana:I know

Though it was a whisper Shehnaaz heard it and knew whom he was talking about.She knew Samaira was not bad ,just was angry and hurt with somethings and hoped that she would be fine soon.

Sana:so how was the shopping?

Shehnaaz asked on reaching the table where Sidharth and Samaira was sitting.

Samaira:actually it was a trouble shopping

Samaira said chuckling remembering the call and all the embarrassment they had to face.

Sana:why? What happened?

Samaira told them the whole story making all of them laugh once again.While laughing, Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth who was looking at her with a sweet smile and mumbled a thank you.Shehnaaz smiled back and mumbled " welcome ".

Sidhansh:it was really a trouble shopping

Didn't expected this from Asim😤......I never used a bad word for him except when he was in the game......he doesn't know anything and he is commenting such things for her.....it's a shame😠😠
