Sidhansh looked up and studied the girl standing infront of him wearing a black nightshirt and shorts.She looked tired as him.Her eyes held questions,sadness and little anger.She gave an amused look as she saw him studying her.

After a minute Sidhansh broke the eye contact and replied her.

Sidhansh:yeah,kinda

Sidhansh lowered his head and fidgeted his fingers and ran a hand through his hairs which he does whenever he is confused or nervous or overwhelmed. He felt the right side of the material of the the couch dip and looked at her.

Samaira:shouldn't you be sleeping at this time?

Sidhansh:same goes to you

Samaira gave him an amused look.She didn't expected this answer. He is really grown up,she thought.

Samaira:bro,I am not a kid.....I am gonna be an adult

Sidhansh lips curved up in a sweet smile on hearing bro.Did she just call me bro,he thought.The thought itself caused a lot of feelings inside him especially feelings of joy.But soon his smile was replaced by an invisible smirk.

Sidhansh:so don't adults sleep at night?

Sidhansh asked innocently looking at Samaira.If it was any other person ,he/she shouldn't have known the actual meaning of it but it was Samaira.She could see the sarcasm and smirk behind his question .

Samaira:sassy much ,aren't we?......but I like you

Samaira gave a genuine smile to him and leaned on the couch.Sidhansh also smiled at her and observed her face which was now a bit relaxed.

I didn't thought my first meet with my sister would be like this.

Samaira:what's your name?

Doesn't she know my name?

A feeling of hurt washed over Sidhansh's face on hearing her question and his thought.Sidhansh quickly tired to hide it but Samaira saw it before he could hide it.

Samaira:hey,hey,bro I didn't wanted to hurt you.....I just wanted to start with a little intro of ourselves, ofcourse I know your name,Sidhansh

Sidhansh:really,you remember me?......I mean I so small so I don't remember much,I am sorry....I know I have hur-

Samaira:woah,young man calm down.....it's okay if you don't remember me ,you were a small baby at that time so I understand and yeah,I remember my cute brother

Sidhansh gave a very warm and genuine smile to which Samaira returned grinning .Gosh,my lips gonna hurt today from so much smiling.

Shut up,bitch as if you don't like it.

Her mind mocked her to which Samaira rolled her eyes but innerly smiled knowing that she was really happy and liking it.

Samaira:so let's start ,my name is Samaira......I am 17 years old,my hobbies are skateboarding, drawing and doing poetry......kinda introvert and extrovert both

Sidhansh:Shukla.....hi,I am Sidhansh Shukla ,10 years old.....my hobbies are playing football, singing and sketching......introvert but yeah extrovert in somethings

Samira frowned on hearing his first word ,she understood what he meant.She didn't mentioned her surname so Sidhansh corrected her.But he doesn't know that she intentionally didn't mentioned it.

Calm down,Samaira .

Her mind spoke knowing the building anger inside her.She looked away trying to calming herself. Sidhansh looked at her confused but stayed silent.

Both sat in silence for sometime but it was an awkward but at the same time comfortable silence.Both were indulged in their own thoughts.

Did I hurt her?

Is she not feeling well?

What should I do?

On the other hand,Samaira was also busy with her thoughts like Sidhansh.

Did I hurt him?

Ahh,why do I always do this....fuck,Samaira can't you control your anger

Why isn't he saying something?

Did he slept?

Sidhansh:can I ask you something?

Samaira:shoot

Sidhansh:where were you in all these years?

Samaira turned towards him who was already looked at her with a confused look.She gave him a sad smile replied ignoring the flashbacks of that day were currently coming into her mind.

Samaira:Hostel,it was initially our parents' decision but eventually it became mine after a few years of living there......I felt a sukoon there and accepted it as my home

Sidhansh observed her all the time while she was saying .He thought that she was lying.How can someone be happy living in a hostel?

But to his bad luck, he didn't find any lie.She was saying the truth .

Sidhansh:were you happy there?

Samaira:yeah

Samaira smiled remembering the beautiful people she met while staying there.Maria,Max,Uncle Ben and him.How can she forgot these people who actually turned that hell cum hostel,a freaking heaven.

Sidhansh:why are your eyes so dark?....like don't take it in a bad way,it's just that your eyes have a depth....a depth of something that I don't know till now,they actually say a lot about you.....you are really a badass ,you know

Samaira smirked but frowned at the same time frowned hearing his words.His words had depth and told exactly how she was.Nobody had understood her so nicely except him.Only he had understood her and the real girl behind all those fake smiles .

But then again it was her brother,her Sidhansh. She was happy that he understood her but at the same time thought that.

How the hell he is so understanding and mature?....and read me like I am an open open which I am really not.

Samaira:yes,my eyes have a depth of something which you get to know soon.....and yeah,about my eyes being dark,it's just the way I am,if you look inside me you will understand that not only my eyes but I am also dark person who has many dark secrets and stories

Sidhansh:what secrets?

Samaira:the crorepati is over except nobody earned a single penny.......sleep Ansh and don't stress your mind so much.....we have enough time and we will spend time together (smiling)

Sidhansh chuckled hearing her first line.He was not sad that she didn't to replied his question because he knew that she needed time to open up.You can't just expect a person you met for the first time to open up so quickly, he thought.

Sidhansh:okay,can I call you di or sis?

Sidhansh asked cutely looking at her .Samaira smiled seeing his cuteness and so wanted to pull his cheeks but stopped herself.

Aww,I want to pull his cheeks.

No,you will hurt him

Her mind said to which she just huffed and said a small " shut up" to her mind.

Samaira:ofcourse Ansh

Sidhansh:no wait,I will call you Sam

Samaira:whatever you like sweetheart.....goodnight Ansh

Samaira smiled for the last time and stood up from the couch.She started moving towards her room but paused hearing him.

Sidhansh:Goodnight Sam

Samaira smiled and shook her head before walking again.She reached her room and found the door open to which she frowned.I had locked it before going out,she thought.

She peeped inside her room and saw the woman she had saw earlier looking confusingly at her room .

And here,I thought only I have insomnia.

Her mind said to which she could just chuckle and thought for once her mind was right.

Shehnaaz heard her chuckle and turned around.Her expressions were like a deer caught in headlights.She had just came to her room to just check if everything was alright and if she needed anything.

Although this was new and unexpected for her but then she thought from Samaira's point of view and understood that it was also new for her too.

Sana:I just came here to check if you needed anything, sorry I entered before asking you....I just -

Samaira looked at her blabbering, she really did find it cute.But she interrupted Shehnaaz and asked.

Samaira:who are you?
