Sidhansh:so you are staying na?

Sana:ofcourse kiddo,how can I deny the request of my cute kiddo...by the way,how was the pratice?

Sidhansh:it was good and pretty tiring

Sid:Sidhansh freshen up and then we will have lunch

Sidhansh:okay dad

Sidhansh gave a sweet smile to both of them ,picking up his backpack he left towards his room.

Sid:Shehnaaz how will I tell him,I can't

Shehnaaz moved towards him and rubbed his arm to relax him.Sidharth who had lowered his head, looked at her now.

Sana:you can do this Sidharth and remember you are not alone in this,I'm with you

Sidharth sighed and went to kitchen to arrange the food .Shehnaaz looked at his retreating figure and thought.Shehnaaz are you sure yourself?

Though she had assured Sidharth that everything will be fine but she knew what was going inside her.A havoc was going inside her with many thoughts and the main question being,What will be Sidhansh's reaction?

She was not sure but was ready to take the risk for Sidhansh.He has the right to know about his mom's death.

Sidhansh:hey

Sana:huh?

Shehnaaz turned around and noticed Sidhansh standing behind her.She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realized when Sidhansh came out of his room.

Sidhansh:where were you lost?

Sana:nowhere,let's go Sidharth would be waiting for us

Shehnaaz took a deep breath and both moved towards the dining table.Sidhansh sat beside Shehnaaz and started to eat his food.

Sid:did your coach scolded you Ansh?

Sidhansh:yeah a bit,he was angry that I missed my practices

Sana:but there was a strong reason behind it also, he should have understood

Sidhansh:I know but coach is coach

Sid:hmm

After the little chit chat it was a complete silence.Noboby said a word,it felt like they were in some graveyard. Shehnaaz squeezed Sidharth's hand asking him to speak but Sidharth stayed silent as if absorbing all his will power and strength.

Sidhansh:Dad you want to say something?

Sidhansh said looking at both Sidharth and Shehnaaz. He noticed them exchanging their gazes and also his dad's expressions as if he wanted to say something but don't know how to say it.This made Sidhansh more tense because it definitely indicated something bad and intense.

Sidharth looked at him shocked but later calmed himself and took a deep breath.

Sid:fine but let's go to the living room,are you finished with the lunch Ansh?

Sidhansh:yes dad

The trio stood up from their chairs and moved towards the living room.Sidhansh sat on the couch while Shehnaaz sat beside him.Sidharth kneeled infront of him and held his hands.

Sid:you remember I went to hospital after leaving you at Prachi's house?

Sidhansh:yes dad

Sid:firstly I am really sorry Ansh,I didn't knew that no one was there in the house and like a careless person I left you alone in the house.....I am sorry

Sidhansh:dad please you were already stressed and was in a hurry,I understand it and it was not your fault, okay.......If the situations would have been different, you would never leave me like that so don't apologize

Sidharth looked at him with proudly and with adoration.He was happy to have such a sweet and understanding son.But at the same time his maturity feared him.Was it good for him according to his age?

Sid:so after I went to the hospital, mom had woken up and she was out of danger but she still looked weak....I felt so vulnerable and weak that after meeting her for sometime,I left the ward.....and then when I was passing through a corridor of the hospital I heard that....t-h-a-t....R

He didn't spoke about whatever happened between Prachi and him because it was their fight.And he also didn't wanted Sidhansh to hate her.

Sidharth started shuttering as his mind started recalling the hospital memories. His worst memories till now. He looked the other side not able to make an eye contact with Ansh

Sidhansh gave an confused and worried look seeing his dad this way.He also started feeling anxious and just wanted to know everything. He started fidgeting with his free hand to control his anxiousness. Suddenly,he felt a hand hold his hand and stopping him.He looked up and saw Shehnaaz looking at him.

Shehnaaz looked at him with a smile but her eyes were filled with tear.She only knew how she was controlling herself from crying her eyes out and staying strong for Sidhansh.It was more difficult than I thought it would be,She thought.

Sana:Sidharth

Shehnaaz called him telling him to continue.Her one hand held Sidhansh's hand while another squeezed Sidharth's shoulder giving him the support he needed.

Sid:I heard a.....doctor talking about his patient.....who died a weak ago.....and the name of the.....patient w-a-s R-u-h-i

Sidhansh looked at him blankly while words started sinking in his mind.The patient name was Ruhi.

Sid:Sidhansh

Sidhansh looked at him with a emotionless face .He didn't said a word,no expressions,no tears,no yelling,nothing.He had put a toxic emotionless face making Shehnaaz and Sidharth fear.Though his face didn't showed anything but his eyes showed everything.

Sorrow.

regret .

Loneliness .

Sidhansh:how did mom die?(whisper)

Sidharth looked at him with a shocked reaction.It was the first time he said that word infront of him after Ruhi left.Sidhansh never said that word neither talked about her .Sidharth also didn't spoke because he thought it was a sensitive topic for him.

It came as an emotionless whisper from Sidhansh.Shehnaaz's heart already broke looking at the boy.She knew it would affect him badly but so badly she never thought.She did expected a reaction from him not a blank reaction.

Sid:In her reports it was written...that she was......suffering from leukemia.....from seven years,Sidhansh please say something you are scaring me

Hearing all this ,Sidhansh stood up immediately from the couch making Sidharth and Shehnaaz more tense.

Sidhansh:excuse me

Sidhansh just uttered one word and then dashed towards his room.Shehnaaz just kept looking at him ,not able to understand anything.Neither him nor his reaction.

Sid:Ansh

She came back after hearing Sidharth yelling and looked at the direction where Sidhansh left.But before they could do anything, Sidhansh closed the door and locked it.

Sana:kiddo listen ,open the door

Sid:Ansh open the door ,ANSH

Not a sound reached his ears.He sat on the bed with a blank face.The patient name was Ruhi.She died one week ago.

These were the words roaming in his mind.He pulled his hair and looked up dejectedly. That's the reason why he looked up and felt his mom's presence because she was there up,up in the heaven.

Soon tears started rolling down his cheeks but he remained unfazed and didn't bother to wipe them.He looked at outside the window and noticed the raindrops.It was raining.It all looked like the sky was also crying with him.

He moved towards the window and kept a hand on the glass.He didn't know how he was feeling.Was he sad?Was he angry?Was he broken?

Definitely.

A voice replied from inside him.He looked around the room as if finding something. And then his gaze stopped on a picture that was hid behind the table lamp.

He took it from there and looked at it.It was a picture of a lady trying to hold her laughter and at the same time showing her tongue .It was her picture,his mom's picture.

Sidhansh chuckled and keenly looked at it.He hid it because he didn't wanted to look at it all the time but at the same time he wanted to keep her close.So he had kept it there.

Sidhansh:so finally you left me forever?

Indeed there arised a hope when Sidhansh heard his dad saying her name but now it all came crushing down.He didn't had any hope left now,no hope of seeing her again.

She suffered seven years from leukemia.

Again his mind made him remember those words breaking the little boy's heart.She suffered from so long and he didn't knew.He didn't knew a fucking thing.

Instead what he did in all these years,he blamed her.He blamed her for abandoning him,for leaving his dad in such a miserable state,for snatching all the love from his childhood that he deserved .For snatching a mother and father both from him.

But now he felt the exact opposite. He didn't blamed her,he regretted all this.He regretted thinking about her like this ,for blaming her.

His tears hadn't stopped but he was not bothered about them.Some people find tears are someone's weakness but for him it was a way of releasing all the pain.Maybe he didn't acknowledge this fact but his body did and believed it so he didn't hide it but he did hide his feelings.Because for him:

Your feelings are your weakness.

If only he knew that emotions doesn't make you weak,it makes you a human.

His mind was now just clouded with Ruhi's thoughts.Did she really die?or is dad joking with me.

Sidhansh:no no he can't joke about such a sensitive topic

Really he could never meet her now?he could never sing infront of her or see her smiling?His mind was blank,he was blank ,not knowing what to do ,how to react.

Suddenly he stood up and his legs started walking towards the door. He opened it and gave a look to both of them and then looked in the other direction.

Sidharth and Shehnaaz finally took a sigh of relief when they heard the door opening.But what they saw next was enough to break their hearts into pieces.

There stood Sidhansh with his eyes red while tears still flowed out of his eyes .They both looked at him with so many emotions.Sad,guilt,sorrow,worry .

But Sidhansh didn't looked at them and tried to control himself so that he wouldn't chock with his words.

Sidhansh:is it true?
