I was just on Discord, chatting with a friend.

"Have you played My Singing Monsters?"

"Isn't that game for little kids?"

"You take that back!"

"Take deez nuts back, lol."

"Stop with the nut jokes, you're making me gargle!"

"Gargle on deez nuts."

"We need to talk..."

"Talk with deez nuts, lol."

"STOP!"

"Aight, Imma head out."

Well, that was funny. I think I should try the game after all. I downloaded My Singing Monsters on my phone and played for several hours straight. I already had all of the single element Ethereals on Ethereal Island, when I decided to breed Ghazt and Grumpyre, I got a monster called "Whisp". I didn't know what it looked like, so I put it in the nursery and waited for it to hatch. When it hatched, I instantly fell in love with its design and its sound was absolutely beautiful. I fed it to max, placed it at the center of my island, and even simped hard for Whisp. I stopped playing after a while and plugged my phone up to charge before going to bed, not knowing that Whisp was watching over me.

The next day, I decided to finish my Ethereal Island as much as I could. I bred the other hybrid Ethereals and bought the Dipsters. That's when I noticed, there was something strange about my Whisp. Every time she looked at me (Yes, I referred to Whisp by She/Her.), a small blush appeared on her face. She would even give a soft smile rather than an open-mouthed one. But I brushed it off and continued playing. My mom eventually called me down for dinner, I closed my game and headed downstairs. I eventually finished eating my food and went back upstairs to my room. When my phone powered on, I got a strange notification. It said, "Whisp wants to see you again..." That's weird and creepy at the same time. I tapped on the notification and I was immediately brought to Ethereal Island, no loading screen or anything. On the island was Whisp, just staring at me with lovesick eyes. I then heard a feminine voice through the speaker.

"Hello, Martin."

That's odd, how did she know my name?

"I've watched you play this game."

"You, Martin, who gave me the most attention."

"You, Martin, the one who loved me so."

"You, Martin, the one who made me obsessive over you."

I froze at that last part, she indeed had an obsession with me.

"And now, I can touch you, talk to you, and do so much more because, you're joining this world, Martin."

Wait, did she say "joining this world"? Ghostly tendrils suddenly started coming out of my phone screen and wrapped around my body, I screamed as I was pulled in. I was cowering with my eyes closed when I felt a ghostly tendril touch my shoulder.

"You can open your eyes, you know."

I opened my eyes and turned around to see Whisp, I was on Ethereal Island.

"You are mine now."

She closed her eyes before kissing me deeply, this is what she wanted after all that time I spent playing.

"I can finally feel your warmth."
