BOYNEXTDOOR fans can rejoice! We have finally recieved a crack in the mysterious case of the group's secret seventh member, in the form of an unlikely ally.
Ichiro Watanabe is LA-Based Singer, songwriter, and performer, known for being the lead singer of the YG entertainment boy band "Febuary." but soon left the group two years after debut after alleged records of Homophobia and assault against Ichiro by the members re-surfaced, leading to the disastrous downfall and the entertainment company attenmpting to scrub the group from History. After rigorous reflection and therepy, Ichiro returned to music in 2020 with his debut album "hi its me, ur all in danger", alongside his recently established "blond 3spress0 media" as his centralised record label, after joining hands with its parent company, DIRTY HIT RECORDS, an indie label group based in London, hosting artists like Rina Sawayama, Beabadoobee, and The 1975.

Zico, the current head of KOZ entertainment, currently responsible for managing and producing all things related to BOYNEXTDOOR, had always kept close connections with Ichiro, dating back to his time promoting with "Febuary." the two have been seen in public, and Zico on multiple occasions has stated that BOYNEXTDOOR's concepts are a collaboration project between the two. "I look up to him a lot." Ichiro stated in an interview. "We're not just friends, we inspire eachother too."

So what does all this have to do with the seventh member?

In a recent live stream, Ichiro was bombared with questions pertaining to the identity of the newest member. Though he did not give any direct answers, he has provided us with enough hints to make a educated guess on the identity of the soon-to-be idol. When asked the question "Have you met BOYNEXTDOOR's new member?", Ichiro chuckled before replying. "I've known him long before he has. You guys have met him too before, just dig a little deeper."

Through the hints provided, out team of internet detectives (aka:stan twt) have come to one probable conculsion: Jung Tae-min.

Now, who is Jung Tae-min? Here's a quick run down of all the public information available to us pertaining to Taemin.
Born in 2005, Jung Taemin is Ichiro Watanabe's godson, Ichiro being old friends with Taemin's dad. In previous interviews (despite not choosing to name-drop him) Ichiro has described him as "A young music prodigy." and "electric genius". And we can confirm this! Taemin, under the pseudonym "MIN" (Which is also predicted to be his stage name) has songwriting and composition credits on 80% of Ichiro's songs, including 3 albums, 2 EP's, and 4 singles. We can expect to see him joining JAEHYUN, TAESAN, and WOOHAK as the songwriting quintet to expand BOYNEXTDOOR's discography.

Though Ichiro has preffered to keep Taemin away from the publlic spotlight as much as possible, it hasn't kept him from making music and writing about the boy. On his debut album's closing track "Willow", Ichiro talks to someone who "looks like you're still getting used to being fully grown". Fans suspect this song is written about Taemin, as this is the only song on the entire album without Taemin on the songwriter credits, hinting that Ichiro wrote this final song in secret.
