A/N; Since its the 20th one, Here's an extra long One shot that may be a Two Shot!
Mark was a player at his finest. He had many girlfriends and boyfriends, his luxurious life style and handsome looks catching their eye. He was like an owl, trapping it's prey. He sat in his usual bar, Drinking whiskey that burned his throat. Sat a few bar seats down from him was a green haired man who caught his eye, Mark hadn't seen him before and was curious. He looked rather out of place so Mark ordered a beer for the man who he never knew the name of. When his drink reached him, his head looked up, searching for the person who bought his drink. Mark winked at him, the man approach him, falling right into his trap. Only, he was returning the drink. The man pushed it along the wooden counter back at Mark. "I don't accept drinks from strangers." The Irish accent surprised Mark but made him smile. "I was just trying to be nice." Mark at least wanted to get the Irish mans name and number. The man in question rolled his eyes. "I know what you are, you don't do nice." To this, Mark chuckled. "You're pretty nice, I could do you." Suddenly, the drink was over Mark. "Nice try." The man chuckled. Mark shook it off, standing. "Feisty. I don't even know your name." As the green haired man turned on his heels, be stopped in his tracks and faced Mark. "It's Jack. Remember it." He then walked off. Mark simple mumbled "I will."

Mark just so happened to remember Jacks name. He was intrigued by this Irish man in an American city. He wanted to know more about him, he liked a challenge. He knew it'd take some time and persistence to get Jack remotely close to his bedroom. Although he was a player, he'd never force anyone into anything. So he sat in the same bar, casually searching for Jack. After an hour or so, before Mark was leaving, the bell on the door rung and in came Jack. He sat down, scolding at Mark. Confidently, Mark waltzed over to Jack. "Y'know. you owe me a drink or a date, whatever you want." Jack rolled in his, mumbling "I owe you nothing." Mark sat beside Jack, him a little surprised. "Welp, I'm not going anywhere til you do. I must admit I'm curious of you, Jack." Jack sighed calling to the bar maid "Ill have a beer and whatever this dingus is having." "My name's Mark." "Dingus is more fitting." Slowly, Mark got more conversation out of Jack. He was the same age as Mark, 24. He had moved bere for larger opportunities. Jack kept quiet and private about most things. "I know what your game is, Mark." "What's that, Jack?" "Playing all caring and smooth, trying to get me into bed." "I'd be lying if I said that wasn't the case yet I cannot lie, you're fascinating." By the end of the night Mark finally got Jacks number. "Fine, if you're so curious message me or don't. I couldn't care less and don't get to excited, I'm not getting into bed with you ever."

Mark texted Jack frequently, his mind often wondering to Jack. He still hadn't given away too much and Mark was still curious. They met in the same bar as usual when they did, Marks heart sped up a little. It was probably the drink. It had been a month or two since he'd met Jack, Mark hadn't been with anyone since then. He was just busy, that's what it was. Jack was particularly flirtous that night not that Mark would complain. After a round of drinks, Mark had to take Jack to a hotel because he never knew where he stayed. Jack spoke his accent thick. "My partner broke up with me and I just needed to be careless." he hiccuped, Mark nodded a little drunk. "Im booking you into a hotel so you can rest." "Take me to yours." "You're drunk Jack." "I know but I'm curious of you too." He shouldn't of gave in. But he did. The night went by in a blur, Jack ending up in Marks bed, but not the way he wanted. He never wanted a drunk one night stand with Jack, He wanted a relationship for once. When he woke up from his slumber, His head pounding there and was no Jack beside him but a note. "I was too careless. I saved you the hassle, I took my clothes and left." Mark sighed, A pain in his chest Mark thought Jack knew him better than that, He thought he noticed the spark in his eyes when he saw him of course he didn't. He wanted Jack but not like this.
He never answered his calls or texted Mark back.Mark visited the regular bar in which they met but He never saw Jack again. Unfortunately, Jack was the one that got away.
