(11) "Yes."

  3rd Person POV~

Mark had been deaf his whole life. He'd never heard his mother's voice, her cries when she found out he was deaf. Nor had he heard her most likely joyous laugh but he saw the tears, the smiles. He was rather lonely, because no one made the effort to talk to him because they'd either have to write everything down or know sign language. It made Mark sad not being able to hear little things, like the teacher dropping her pen or the laughs of his classmates. He didn't talk to anyone either. When People saw Mark in the hall ways they'd usually put there heads down or look away from him but there was this one boy whom Mark didn't know the name of who no matter when he saw Mark, he'd always smile at him. Mark never saw this boy smile often he was usually at the back of the classroom with ear phones in, ignoring everyone around him. The boy was the same age as Mark, With green hair and piercings. Mark thought the boy was drop dead gorgeous, the rebellious type. He'd never expected that the same boy would approach him at lunch. He sat beside Mark, wearing the signature smile he always gave Mark and signed; "Can I sit here?" Mark was shocked, and quickly nodded; "You know sign language?" "Yeah, My father was deaf." Mark fell in love with Jack right there and then. They talked through the whole of lunch, the boys barely eating anything. They exchanged numbers, which made Marks heart flutter. Mark would never forget that day and the years that followed. After months of talking he finally built up the courage to ask Jack on a date. Jack nodded.

"Can I go on a date with you?" Yes.
"Can I kiss you?" Yes.
"Is this okay?" Yes!
Jack asked Mark in sign language, with everything.
Mark had gone in for surgery, and upon waking up the first thing he heard was his mother's joyous tears and Jacks Irish accent, asking; "Will you marry me?" This time however, he spoke and Mark heard him. "Yes" this time, Mark spoke. He heard his own deep voice, His mothers precious caring voice, and Jacks wonderful Irish accent. He'd hear people cheer at there wedding, He'd hear the church bells ringing, he'd hear everything for the first time in his life.
