The One That Changed Everything

A/N: This one is a little supernaturally so if you don't like that stuff... Be on your way...

(Mark's P.O.V.)

It was three years ago today my entire life changed. And in those three years I've changed 38 other lives, of other people. Trust me, I wouldn't have if I had a choice. But I didn't. I never do. Every full moon, I know, it sounds stupid. Like a crappy vampire novel. But it's true. It's my life. And has been since that stupid girl got to me three years ago.

I was walking home, kind of tipsy, half asleep. I didn't really understand or comprehend my surroundings. I remember her though. I remember her like it was tomorrow. I never learned her name, which bothers me so much. But she was gorgeous. And that's saying something considering I am gay off the charts.

Her hair was a midnight black that shimmered in the moonlight. Her skin was pale, milky white. Her eyes were dark, and yet the stars that shone in them didn't compare to the ones in the sky. Her lips were a deep red, her cheeks dusted pink. She wore a cute little dress, nothing more then a casual sundress even though it was nearly midnight. She was a good three inches shorter than me, maybe more.

We talked for a bit after I ran into her, and after seeing my condition she offered to walk with me the rest of the way to my house. In my state, I agreed. We walked. We talked. And then she pushed me into the alleyway. Her eyes glowed red and she didn't hesitate to sink her teeth into my neck. I passed out immediately, and woke up a couple hours later to find that she was gone and I was different.

A vampire. A mythical being that doesn't exist. That's what I am. And I'm pretty sure I exist. So now every full moon I'm forced to choose a victim and change their lives forever. If I don't my craving for human blood gets to strong. Often times it's just a random person off the street, someone I won't care about after, as terrible as that sounds. This is my 39th full moon, and my 39th victim. Three years. Why not make it special?

(Seán's P.O.V.)

I sigh, putting the glass back down on the counter. The bar is loud with the sports game going on the TVs, and the chatter and cheers of people. I motion for the bartender to fill my glass once more. I'm not here to get drunk or anything. I'm just here to have a drink or two, then go home and go to sleep. The bartender comes over and fills my glass back up with beer, which I gladly take.

I take a sip, sighing as I put the glass back down. Life's okay, except for the fact that work sucks and I'm barely making enough to live. That's why I'm here. Just to... Distract myself. I don't have much, but I got a tab so I'll just put it on that. I hear a chuckle and I glance over at the person who sits next to me.

"Hey, how about a beer?" He asks, his voice deep, smooth and loud even over all the commotion. The bartender quickly gets him the drink and he takes a sip. I keep looking at him, studying him. His skin is tanned and his hair is a raven black with red dyed on top. His eyes are chocolate brown... And he looks sad.

He looks over and catches me looking at him. "Hey yourself." He says. I chuckle.

"You okay there?" I ask. "Couldn't help but notice you look a bit down." I say. His eyes widen and he chuckles.

"Whoa." He says. I raise an eyebrow. He shakes his head a bit, looking at me. "Your accent. I wasn't expecting that. I like it. Irish?" He asks and I nod, happy someone got it right for once.

"Yeah, but I've been in America for a while now." I say. He tilts his head to the side.

"How long is a while?"

"A while." He laughs at my answer and I can't help but laugh with him, it's contagious.

"Well, that's fair. My name's Mark." He says. I extend my hand, letting him shake it.

"Seán." I say. He smiles.

"I like that name." He says and I can't help the inevitable blush on my cheeks.

"T-thanks... I like your name too." I say. His smile widens.

"Thank you." He says. For hours we sit there, talking about each other, about games, about random crap. Getting to know one another. And I have to admit, it's nice. It's nice talking to someone. I haven't had a legitimate conversation with anyone outside of work in so long...

However the time flies by to quickly and soon I'm checking my watch. "Holy crap, it's almost five already." I say. Mark's eyes go wide in shock.

"Holy hell. Well, we should probably both get home then. Wanna walk with me?" He asks. I smile, nodding. After Mark pays and I tell them to put my drinks on my tab we head out the door, towards Mark's home I guess. We walk and talk, continuing our conversation from before I checked the time.

"You're really cool Mark. We should get together sometime, play video games or something." I smile. He nods and we quickly exchange numbers before it goes quiet, which I already know is weird for Mark. "You okay?"

He nods slowly. "Yeah... Here, I know a short cut." He says, turning and going through an alley. At first I hesitate, but then I just shrug and follow. However I soon think about regretting my decision when Mark turns sharply, slamming me against the wall of the building.

"M...Mark?" I ask quietly. What is doing? What is he going to do? Oh shit. Oh crap. Damn it...

However all he does is smiles. "You're really cool too." He says. And with that he slams his lips into mine. Now I know that for Mark it isn't the alcohol cause he had, like, nothing to drink. For me... I don't know. It may be the alcohol talking, but I kiss back. And I love it. I absolutely love this. We kiss and kiss, only breaking for air occasionally.

After a couple minutes Mark bites down on my lower lip. And he bites down hard. I mean, it draws blood. I chuckle, pulling back and looking at him, only to find he still has his eyes closed. "Whoa, Mark. A little to rough there." I say. He sighs, nodding a bit.

"I know." He says quietly. I frown. What does he mean by that? However before I have much more time to react his eyes open and my eyes widen. His eyes are bright red and he opens his mouth just a bit to reveal fangs. What the hell? He rushes forward, sinking his teeth into my neck. I gasp and before I can do anything else, I black out.

(Mark's P.O.V.)

I pull back, letting the two little holes bleed. Seán goes limp in my arms, falling. I catch him however, picking him up bridal style. I look at my watch. The sun's gonna rise soon. I gotta get both of us out of here. I run quickly to my house, which is close. I open the front door quickly, closing and locking it behind me. I don't have to worry about sunlight, all possible entries are blocked off.

I walk to my bedroom, putting the still passed out Seán on my bed. I grab a bandaid and put it on his neck, making sure he doesn't bleed more. I wipe my mouth of the blood I didn't bother getting rid of earlier and I sigh, standing and getting a small knife and a bowl. I go back to the bedroom, grabbing Seán's hand and cutting it fairly deep with the knife. Then I put his hand in the bowl, letting it bleed.

Then I just sit there, staring at his sleeping face. I chuckle a bit. People would have already thought he was a vampire, he's pale as snow. I bite my lip softly. I brought him here. I actually cared whether or not he was okay. I didn't just attack him, I kissed him. Why? Well, that's a stupid question. Obviously the reason why is because he's really cool and I really like him.

Yeah, we just met a few hours ago. But I attach to people quickly. And Seán's lovable. And awesome. And smart. And passionate. And everything else. I couldn't leave him for himself. He'd die. He won't be able to do this, not without help. Help I intend to give him. You know, when he decides to wake up. I turn, playing on my computer as he bleeds and sleeps.

Eventually I have to switch out for another bowl cause he bleeds to much in the first. I store it in the fridge for a later date. I swear, if anyone searched my house I'd look like a mass murderer. I continue playing, and playing, and waiting. Until he stops bleeding, then I take the second bowl, store it, and cover the cut with a band-aid. Then more waiting. And more. And more. But then...

His eyes shoot open and he sits straight up, snapping his head from place to place. His eyes are red right now, but slowly fade back to their normal ocean blue. He looks at me, shock clear on his face. Shock, and fear. I understand why.

"M-Mark... What the hell was that? What happened? Where am I?... What are you?" He asks. I smile slightly. Then I inhale and I hold my arms out.

"Welcome to the secret world of vampires." I say and with that, he passes out again. But this time, of shock. Which just makes me laugh. He comes too, and can't help but laugh with me. Man, a lot of explaining is gonna have to happen.

A/N: I like this. I'm really like this. I don't know why. Trust me, I don't. But I like this! Again, if this isn't your think then, that's awesome. You can move on and forget this was ever here. But if you liked it too... Then yay! I hope you did. Anyways, I guess I'll move on and go work on other stuff. Buh-bye! =) <3
