Death of a Bachelor

Jack looked out the window and watched as the rain poured down. He sat on the windowsill and leaned his head against the cold glass. The Irishman sighed in content as he felt the cold on his face. He closed his eyes and thought about the past five years. So much had happened these past years. He was in an abusive relationship, about five year ago, with a guy named Felix. When he first met the Swedish man he was so nice, but when they started going out, Felix started getting violent and started drinking.

Do I look lonely? I see the shadows on my face. People have told me I don't look the same

He treated Jack like shit and sometimes kept Jack locked up in a closet for days, but Jack was to scared to tell anyone so he just lied to everyone and said he was "Fine". He thought he had caught the Jackpot when he started dating Felix. He thought that they were gonna love each other forever.

Maybe I lost weight. I'm playing hooky, with the best of the best
Put my heart on my chest, so that you can see it too

Felix started cheating on Jack with Marzia, Felix always bragged about her, and flaunted about how much he loved her. One day Felix had brought her over for dinner and when Marzia saw Jack, Felix had said that he was just a roommate. Felix was so nice to Marzia. He opened her car door when she arrived, took and hung up her coat, pulled out her chair for dinner, and even walked her to her car and held an umbrella over her head when it started raining. He saw them kiss and make out in the rain like it was some scene from a sappy movie.

I'm walking the long road, watching the sky fall
The lace in your dress tingles my neck, how do I live?

Jack fell into depression, Felix ended up leaving him and him and Marzia started living together. Even though Felix had abused Jack, Jack still loved Felix. It hurt his heart when Felix left. He is happy that him and Marzia are happy though.

But then the most amazing person entered Jack's life. His name was Mark Fischbach. Jack smiled at the thought. He had met him at a park one day when Jack was lying in the grass. Mark had come up to him and complemented his Bloodborne shirt. They started chatting up a storm about video games and what not. Mark ended up telling Jack about his boyfriend dying in a car accident, and Jack told him about Felix.

The death of a bachelor, Oh
Letting the water fall                                                                                                                                                           The death of a bachelor, Oh

They ended up swapping phone numbers and hanging out. They played video games together, watched animes, and Netflix. They just had fun whenever they were with each other. They became closer and closer. They had known each other for about five months when Mark ended up asking Jack out. Jack had said yes. Yes, Jack was nervous to start dating again because of his past relation ships but he trusted Mark.

Happily ever after
How could I ask for more?

They acted the same dating as they did when they were just friends, except there was more cuddling and kisses. They loved every second they got to spend with each other.  Each day was an adventure and they enjoyed the travel, they didn't care about the destination. They majority of the relationship was spent laughing and smiling.

 A lifetime of laughter

Oh but the most magical part of the relationship was their first kiss. It was a calm afternoon when Mark bursted into the room smiling like an idiot, he had told Jack that he made reservations at a restaurant, you know the very fancy ones that everyone goes to for dates. The Irishman started smiling and crying because he had felt so loved. Jack remember Mark running up to him and picked him up from the couch, and spun him around laughing. When they stopped spinning they were in fits of giggles. They stared into each others eyes and Mark brought his hands up to Jacks face to wipe the tears away. The wavered there and Jack pushed his lips against Marks. It was like fireworks went off. Jacks heart was pounding and he could feel the butterflies in his stomach.

I'm cutting my mind off
It feels like my heart is going to burst

When Jack had arrived at the restaurant he didn't see Mark so he decided to take his seat and wait. He had read over the menu about 5 times waiting for him, he checked his phone for the time a bunch of times, he made sure the silverware was organised and made sure everything looked neat. He had thought he was being stood up, but he couldn't bring himself to thing Mark would have done such a thing. A waitress had come up to him and asked if was waiting for someone and Jack smiled and nodded.

Alone at a table for two and I just wanna be served
And when you think of me am I the best you've ever had?
Share one more drink with me, smile even though you're sad

When Jack was just about to leave he saw Mark walk in and he rushed over to Jack, he and Jack both had their hair slicked back and were wearing tuxes. Mark had sat down and explained to Jack that he had to pick his Tux up at the dry cleaners and had to rush home to get ready. He said he lost track of time daydreaming about the perfect date when he realized how late it was. Mark said that in all of the rushing around he had forgot his phone. Mark apologized multiple times and Jack forgave him and they had an amazing date. Mark did something unexpected, he had gotten on his knee and asked Jack his hand in marriage. Jack had cried and nodded and Mark cried too. They hugged and people around them cheered.

They went outside of the restaurant, hand in hand, and just walked and talked. Then it had begun to rain, it reminded Jack of when Felix had left him for Marzia. He pushed the thoughts away and stared up lovingly at Mark. Mark looked back with the same amount of love and they had kiss. The sky was falling and now it was his turn to look like he was in a sappy romantic movie and he and Mark kissed as the rain poured around them.

I'm walking the long road, watching the sky fall

The next big moment in Jack life was the day of the wedding. He ended up being the one walking down the aisle. Marks family and his family was there and they all had tears in their eyes, they were happy for the lovers. Mark had helped Jack in so many ways that Jack wasn't so broken. They loved each other no denying that. They had an outside wedding because of how beautiful it would be. Who would have guessed that Mark coming up to Jack and complimenting him and them talking about their pasts, Marks boyfriend dying and Felix hurting Jack, would lead to this.

The death of a bachelor, Oh
Letting the water fall
The death of a bachelor, Oh

The vows were said and there were tears, and smiles. Then all of a sudden it started raining. The rain no longer reminded Jack of the day Felix had left him, it reminds him of the night when Jack was asked to marry Mark, the love of his life. The person who helped him through a lot and had never given up on him. Jack remembered them dancing in the rain, not caring if their suits were getting ruined. Not caring about there hair sticking up every which way.

Life was great for the newly weds and as time went on it still was. Jack didn't have to worry about Mark hurting him or leaving him. Jack was always happy, never depressed. Mark was the one that cooked, since Jack would burn down the house if he tried to. And Jack was the one who vacuumed and mopped, he did the casual easy chores. They both did the more difficult chores. They had a great system and they still do. Jack remember every moment of the moment they spent together, the more he remembered about Mark and his relationship, the more Felix would erase.

The death of a bachelor, Oh

"Jackaboy?" Jack heard Mark call. He broke out of his memories and opened his eyes. He took his head off the glass and replied, "Yes Markimoo?" He heard Mark laugh from where ever he was in the house, presumably downstairs, "It is Raining Jack!" Mark yelled excitedly up the stairs. Jack grinned and looked out the window and sure enough it was still raining. He jumped up from where he was sitting and threw a random pair of shoes on and a jacket. He bolted down the stairs and saw Mark opening the front door. Jack ran up to him, and grabbed his hand in his own. The green haired man smiled up his loving husband. The black haired man smiled back and pulled him outside and into the rain. They ran around in the streets and danced in the rain. Whenever it rained, it was there tradition to go out and just have fun in it because it reminds them of the night Jack said yes to Mark.

Letting the water fall
The death of a bachelor
Oh

Mark looks over to see Jack standing in one spot, looking up at the sky and sticking his tongue out trying to catch raindrops in his mouth. Mark laughs at Jack and walks up to him and wraps his arms around Jacks slim frame. Jack sticks his tongue back into his mouth and wiggles around so he is facing Mark. Mark keeps his arms around Jack waist and Jack wraps his arms around Marks shoulder, and nuzzles his face into Marks shoulder. They stand there swaying while the rain around them sounds like music. Their hearts beats are the rhythm the dance too. No cars come down the road, most likely because everyone wants to stay inside. Jack takes his face out of Marks shoulder put keeps his arms around his neck. They stare at each other, love swimming in their eyes, then Mark leans in and Jack follows they kiss. Nothing could ruin this moment.

Their mouths move in sync and fit together like two puzzle pieces that were always suppose to go together. The sound and world around them disappear as they melt in to each others hold. They never want this to end, but sadly all good things must. They break apart and lean their foreheads against each other. "I love you." Mark whispers. Jack stares into Marks eyes and then closes them and whisper back, "I love you too."
