Mark's P.O.V

"God damn it, Matt!" I shout as Matt runs off with my dagger. My dagger. He know fucking well that no one touches my dagger. I swear I'm gonna kill him...

"Awwww come on, Mark. Stop being so possessive and move it. We have an assignment, remember?" He says as he tosses the weapon to Ryan, who was waiting by exit, urging me to move faster.

I took a moment to look back on my life, just like I do before any big assignment...

"Now, focus on the target. Look at their armor and seek their weak-points," Rass, our instructor, said as we all faced the wooden dummies. Jordan, Rass's son, seemed to wreck the dummy in seconds. She gave an approving nod to Jordan, who gleamed with pride. He then when to go help Tom, who acts like he can't do it, but, knowing him, he could kill Jordan then and there if he really wanted to. I located the dummies weak point easily: there was a small tear right by the stomach. I swiftly stabbed the dummy, and the armor practically slipped off and so the dummy was left exposed. As Rass gave her nod of approval, she directed me to go sit down with a few other kids who finished. I guess that we all need this so we can keep our families alive......

A couple weeks later...

"Come on, Mark. This damn group pays so little. We can live off of others.... YA know, kill, steal, bribe. It would work so much better.... So, you in?"

The shadowed boy held out his hand..... and I deiced to shake it.

"Welcome to the yagalleh."

"Uh, Mark? You coming?" Ryan asked as Matt waved my dagger in my face, snapping me out of my daze. I snatched the dagger back and nodded.

"Okay, then let's go."

I know it's short, but I'm in a bit of a scramble still. I'm working on multiple books- But the days I can get on the most is Fridays and Saturdays, so I'll probably post all of the book updates on that day. But yeah! This has been long in the making and I apologize for the lack of books, but I'm back, people! Yay!
