"Okay wait, why are you rushing me to go home?" Rosie whispers to me in the parking lot.

"Because I need to talk to Kari badly."

"Well can't your talk wait?" She says to me with pleading eyes. "Look the new hot guys are standing out here with our group, and I don't even know them." I glare at her. Of course she wants to talk to Gavin and Seth.

"They are nothing special, now please can we go?" I ask her.

"Ev, you never think anyone is special. Not even Jason and he's been in love with you his whole life." I look at her shocked. Wait what? Jason has not been in love with me his whole life. He is going to find his mate, why would he ever want to be with me? Plus we are just best friends.

"Rosie, Jason has never been in love with me. And I refuse to fall in love with a werewolf unless they are my true mate." I say. she sighs and shakes her head... She still doesn't know that I can't change. Only Jason, Kari, Brent and a few others know about it. It's too embarrassing to tell anyone.

"Fine, fine." She glances over at Gavin and Seth sadly. "I guess I can just meet them some other time."

Relief floods through me. Yes, thank god she isn't being stubborn right now. "Don't worry, you will be able to. I can introduce you at some point."

She flashes me a bright smile. "Maybe you can introduce me after your practice tonight?" I roll my eyes.

"Don't get your hopes up."

"Fine, lets go."

We walk over to José and I throw my backpack into the back seat. I run up to shot gun and plop myself down. Rosie brings the engine to life and blasts country music in my ear.

The song 'Life is a Highway' comes on and I let out a laugh. This song is my jam! Both Rosie and I sing all the way to the pack house. She parks in the long drive way and I immediate get out. Without even grabbing my backpack I run inside, holding my wrist to make sure it doesn't move.

The office, even if Kari isn't in there then Bryce will still know where she is. I hurry off in that direction.

"Evelyn?" A voice says to me. Ugh, I need to find Kari my wrist is killing me!

"Yes?" I stop and turn around. Laine approaches me with her long blonde hair swaying as she walks.

"Have you seen Kari?" I let out a laugh.

"I'm actually trying to find her right now. I'm heading to the office to see if she's there."

"I was just there, and not only was she not there but Bryce said he has no idea where she is." She says sadly.

Just lovely! The one person who always knows where she is... Where could she possibly be...?

"I wanted to talk to Kari about her baby shower. It's coming up soon and I don't know what kind of cookies or decorations she wants!" She throws her hands up in the air frustratedly. I laugh at her.

"I forgot that you're stuck with planning all this stuff because Ashley is busy with Kyle." She frowns.

"I know. It's so much work Evie, I barely have any time to hang out with Dan..." I feel bad for her, Kari can't ever concentrate fully on one thing at a time so Laine is in this by herself. Even though it is Kari's babies. Wait! Kari's babies!

"Laine you're a genius!" She gives me a weird look.

"I don't know where you're going with this but I like the sound of it... What idea just popped into your head?"

"Kari is probably hanging out with Dr. Silver, just to have her check out the babies. She paranoid for some reason about the little guys." Laine smiles brightly.

"You're so right! Let's go check that out because I have been all over this pack house and I couldn't find her anywhere, so if she's not there then she literally disappeared." she huffs.

Quickly we make our way out of the house and head to the Pack doctor's house. It's not a huge walk, it's just a straight way there and back but there is a lot of land in between the pack house and the pack doctor's house. I mean realistically we could have taken a car but it is kind of nice out.

We approach the hospital like building and walk in. The waiting room has people littered around it. Wow what happened in here? People look seriously sick. Well I mean I am inside a doctors house, what did I expect to see... We walk up to the counter and the girl working the front desk smiles up at us.

"Hi are you here for an appointment?" She asks us nicely. I shake my head.

"No we are actually looking for Luna Kari. Has she been here?"

"Actually yes, she's with Dr. Silver right now."

"Oh so she has an appointment?" Laine asks her. The woman gives her a strange look.

"No she's here to aid the doctor in healing people. She comes here every Tuesday to help out." I slap my face with my right hand. Of course she is! Right when I need her healing powers she is using them to help others. Although I guess their problems are probably worse than mine.

"Thank you. What room is she in? I need to talk to her immediately."

"Oh I can't allow you to walk into another patients room..." she says worriedly.

"Don't worry I won't, I will wait outside the door for her, I just really need to talk to her." I see her hesitate. "Please." I add quickly.

She sighs, "Fine, they are in room 56."

"Thank you!" I walk through the doors that lead to the patients rooms. I hear Laine shuffling behind me quickly.

We reach room 56 and I lean against the wall. Lanie leans on the wall across from me.

"You know, you never told me why you wanted to talk to Kari."

I let out a sigh and hold my stinging wrist to my body. "I um, broke my wrist..." I say. She lets out a gasp.

"How! Jesus Evelyn I had no idea you were even hurt! What the hell, you should have told me!" She says worriedly. I shake my head and let out a weak laugh.

"Well I mean it's not that bad, it just hurts sometimes that's all..."

"How did it happen." I ignore her and look to the side. As much as I don't like Fiona right now, she doesn't deserve to get in trouble for this. She had no idea how weak I am compared to her. "Evelyn answer me. Don't make me get Bryce involved." she says sternly.

Ugh, freaking Bryce. Stupid Alpha and stupid Alpha tone.

"Fine, Fiona accidentally broke it..."

"Accidentally? How do you accidentally break someone's wrist?" she shouts.

Before I can answer the door next to me flies open. Dr. Silver exits with Kari right behind her. Kari is holding her big belly when she notices me.

"Oh hi." She says shocked to see me. I smile.

"Hi." I say brightly. "Um think you could do me a huge favor?" I ask politely.

She laughs and stand next to me in the hallway. She tucks a strand of her brown hair behind her ear and gazes at me with her violet eyes.

"Of course Evie. What's wrong?" She asks.

I hold my left wrist out to her. Gently she grabs it an gives me a questioning look. "I kinda broke my wrist..." Her eyes go wide.

"Oh Evie! Here let me help." She brings her other hand up to my wrist and closes her eyes. Slowly a green light begins to admit from her hands. I feel a strong pulse of energy flow through me and slowly the pain begins to disperse and leave my body.

After a few moments the light begins to die down and Kari opens her purple eyes. I lift my wrist and move my hand around. No pain at all! Awesome it's as good as new. I smile happily.

"Thanks so much Kari!" I give her a huge hug and she gently squeezes me back.

"How did that happen anyway?" she ask me.

"Uh, I fell. But Laine here needs to talk to you about your baby shower. So on that note I'm out of here. Thanks again Kari!" Laine and Kari both shoot me dirty looks. I laugh at them and walk away. "Bye Dr. Silver!" I shout.

"Bye Evelyn!" She answers.

After that I walk out through the waiting room and now I'm on my way to the pack house. I pull out my phone and look at the time. Crap! It's 3:40! My practice starts at 4!

I sprint as fast as I can to the pack house. I run to my room and throw on a pair of workout shorts, a sorts bra, a t-shirt, shin guards, long socks, and my cleats. I throw my hair up into a messy pony tail and sprint out to the car. Rosie is waiting for me and she gives me a frantic look when she sees me.

"Jesus Ev, it's 3:50, I can't get to the school in ten minutes, what the hell took you so long?" she shouts and hops into her seat. I rip the door open and sit down in the passenger seat. Once I shut the door and buckle, Rosie starts her car and drives to the school.

"Sorry, I had a dilemma..." I say through quick breathes. Damn I'm tired already...

"Well I don't think I can get you to practice on time but I can sure try." she says. "You are going to introduce me to Gavin and Seth after practice if I manage to get you there on time."

I roll my eyes. "Fine, but only if you get me there on time. If not then no." She sticks her tongue at me.

"I can do it."

In the next eight minutes Rosie barely slows her car down, we practically run a red light. We pull into the school and she drives straight to the soccer field. I open the door.

"Wow Rosie you did it... A deal is a deal... I will see you after practice!" I shout and run to where my team is stretching on the field. I throw my bag down and jog next to Tori. She turns to me and lets out a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank god! I thought you weren't going to show up!" she says.

"Yeah I accidentally took too long at my house. I should have left earlier."

"Well you're lucky coach isn't here yet. So you're off the hook." I smile. Thank god, coach Shelly would have kicked my ass for not being here early enough.

A whistle sounds from a distance and we all turn to see Coach Shelly walking toward us with her big sack of soccer balls.

"Speaking of the devil." Tori whispers to me. I laugh at her joke. She hasn't even seen the worst of coach Shelly yet.

Coach gets practice started by having us run four laps around the field. Then we do drills non stop for an hour and a half. In the last thirty minutes she decides that we can scrimmage.

Tori and I get placed on the same team. When we get out there we dominate. We managed to score over three goals each, that's pretty impressive for soccer. Coach ends the scrimmage and gives us one last speech like usual and just like that practice is over.

"So what are you doing after this?" Tori asks me. I turn to answer her when a sharp pain zips through my head. Shit.

The familiar feeling of having an unknown image clouding my vision appears. I take a deep breath and look around me. Im in the woods. Quickly I look behind me and see the school in the distance. So I'm in the woods behind the school?

I take a few steps forward and begin to wander around. Why the hell am I back here? I don't see anything?

Just then I see four figures in the distance. Well I suppose I should go check that out... I walk up to a tree that lies near the four boys. When I get a closer look I see that it's Jason, Ralf, Gavin and Seth. They are all in their football workout clothes. Why are they out here?

I see Jason shout something at Gavin and Seth. Gavin steps up and yells something back at Jason. Damn why can't I hear anything! Suddenly Jason jumps at Gavin and shifts mid air into his dirty blonde wolf. Jason no! What the hell you can't shift in front of humans!

I'm about to yell when Gavin jumps at Jason and shifts into a dark brown wolf. Wait... what? They collide and roll around trying to bite one another. Why isn't Ralf or Seth trying to stop this?

Just then I'm dragged back into reality. My eyes shoot open and I see Tori kneeling on the ground next to me. She's looking at me with a worried expression.

"What the hell just happened?" she says. "Are you okay?" She asks and reaches to feel my forehead. I grab her wrist before it touches my head and I look her in the eyes.

"You're one too." I say to her. She looks around us quickly but everyone has already left and she looks back down at me.

"I'm one what?" she asks me.

"Don't play dumb." I start to stand. I stumble a little but catch my balance.

"I'm not playing dumb, I don't know what you're talking about." she says.

I start to walk toward the woods. "You're a freaking werewolf and I never knew..." Her eyes go wide.

I turn and run as fast as I can to the woods. God I hope I make it in time.
