Natsu's POV

"Natsu?" A sweet voice said.

I sat up but my vision was still blurry.

"Who's there?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

"You don't even recognize my voice, how tragic." Her voice was faint.

"Luce?" I asked as my sight started to clear.

"Natsu, is it not impossible for you to hurt me so many times?" She smiled as she turned around.

"L-Lucy I--" I stuttered. She just looked so beautiful.

"It's time for you to wake up now, Natsu." She smiled sweetly.

I tried to reach her but everything vanished.

This was the first dream didn't cause me to wake up in the middle of the night.

The first time I didn't see Lucy crying in my dreams, she was calm and mature.

"Sir Natsu, your father has been calling you." A maid said.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I wiped a tear from the corner of my left eye and took my phone.

"Dad?" I asked

"Natsu, are you ready to inherit the company? I'm retiring in maybe three to four months but I'm leaving you some of my tasks so you can adjust slowly." He stated.

"Who's going to tend to our main branch in Japan?" I said excitedly.

"Well, that's up to you. Dragneel Corp. in Europe is doing great, is it not?" He chuckled.

"It's doing great Dad." I smiled.

"Then, you can come home after my retirement papers are finished so you can tend the main branch." He said as he ended the call.

Lucy, I'll see you in four months. I guess...

I'll see you happily married to my cousin.

I threw a pillow at the door in anger.

"Sir Natsu, the driver is here." A maid said through the door.

"Alright. I'll be ready in 15 minutes." I hurried to the bathroom.

I remembered that I had a meeting to get to.

I arrived at the meeting room and listened to the proposal of another company.

I sat in the other edge of the table and people became silent as I removed my sun glasses.

"Good morning Sir Dragneel." They all said in unison.

"Good Morning. Shall we start?" I asked the presenter of the proposal.

My secretary came in and gave me my coffee and some files regarding the proposal.

The presenter started to talk in french.

It was easy for me to understand because I've learnt french since I was in middle school.

After the meeting I walked back to my office, and made some calls and did some paperwork.

My secretary came in giving me another set of files.

"Sir Natsu, Mr. And Mrs. Fullbuster are here to see you." She said.

I freezed at what she said.

Mr. And Mrs. Fullbuster?!

"Let them in." I said in shivered. I wanted to see them so bad, it has already been a year since we've seen each other.

"Hey Natsu." Gray said with Juvia by his side.

They were holding hands as they walked up to me. I walked to them and hugged them.

"Congratulations." I greeted them.

"Thanks but we're not married yet." Gray laughed nerviously.

"Gray-sama and Juvia came here to give you our wedding invitation. Lucy-chan said that you don't answer your emails anymore." Juvia stated.

"U-uhm. Y-yeah, I guess. Thank you for inviting me." I smiled looking at the invitation.

"That's not the only reason why we came here." Gray said seriously.

"So, what do you guys need? Oh, please sit down" I offered.

"Natsu, how long do you intend to make Lucy wait for you?" Gray was angered.

"Natsu-san, Juvia really thinks you should talk to Lucy, at least even give the proper closure." Juvia said sadly.

"Look, there's nothing to talk about. Lucy is happy with Zeref. Who knows they might already be married. Are they?" I asked trying to hide my suspicion.

"How dare you." Gray stood up.

I didn't reply. I was confused.

"How dare you think for Lucy's happiness when you don't have any idea what she's really going through?!" Gray punched my desk.

I froze, I couldn't say anything. I was stuck thinking about :

What is going on with her? Is she in trouble?!

"Gray-sama." Juvia tried to calm him down by holding on to his arm.

"Thanks Juvia." He sighed.

"Natsu, you are a coward for running away. You left her without even saying goodbye." Gray walked towards my door.

Then he suddenly turned back. I sat there dumbfounded.

"There's one thing you should know, but I'll let you figure that out for yourself when you go back to Magnolia. I'll see you there." He said bluntly.

I sighed at what Gray had told me. He was right, I am a coward for leaving her.

I unlocked a small drawer of my desk and out out a long red velvet box.

I promised myself not to open this anymore but-- I want to see

I slowly slid the cover out and opened the locket.

I want to see her face. I couldn't force myself to forget her.

I'm coming back for you Lucy, and this time I'll face you maturely.

Memories were flooding in my mind. I chuckled at those happy times.
